Finally stopped in for some takeout and to check this place out. I really liked it, they had way more games than I had been led to believe. 2 pinball machine, a few old school arcade style, a few driving, a few shooting. Enough to keep a small crowd occupied but it's not Dave and Busters. I was really surprised to see they had a tiny 2 lane bowling ally. It was smaller balls and pins but looks like fun. I ordered a side of tater tots and a burger to go. The tots were fantastic! I melted my own cheese on them at home and omg. The burger was better than I expected too. It wasn't super big, it was filling and tasted pretty good. I didn't drink this time but did see they had about 15 or 20 on tap. Only giving 4 stars because they games were pricey like you'd expect in a real arcade. When I'm buying beers and food I would expect the games to run at least half price. Also, the front of the place as you walk in had lots of cafeteria style seating. I suspect this place is big with young kids and maybe even birthday parties? I was really hoping that this place would be better than it is. The atmosphere is good the wait staff is friendly. But the food is fair. I was here on Tuesday for taco Tuesday, The Carnitas was ok the Carne Assad was fair . It seems like it might've been deep fry some of the meet was very crusty. Their turnaround time from when you ordered and when you get your food seems extremely long. I was here on wing Wednesday The chicken wings are over battered and not that good they have five different flavors for the wings but one of them isn't available. They're dry Cajun rub is terrible. If you want good wings on Wednesday go to drafts on Oceanside Boulevard in college. Their $.50 and you can order as many or as least amount as you want. At fat Joe's you have a selection of 6 or 10 you can't deviate from that. The spicy barbecue sauce is way too spicy for some people but ok if you like it hot. We've had the pizza one time it's absolutely horrid. The burgers you can make better at home. They do have A good beer selection. Games for the kids and the adults. We had an awful experience. We had a party of about 18 people and it was just too much for the waiters. We ordered by family and it basically depended on where you were sitting at the table to decide if you would get your food or not. Two kids did not get their food at all (a mini pizza and a burger) and the staff was extremely rude and did not apologize for the inconvenience. Food was not very good which made it even more incredible that it took so long for some people to get their food. Place was not even busy. We won't be coming back. read more

Great concept... oceanside has been in need of a great little barcade, but haven't had the best experience with their staff so far. I only Yelp when I have a really great experience or enough bad experiences, and my last experience here was bad. They have great beers and a girl with blonde hair behind the bar was sweet and helpful, which is why I gave 2 stars. Towards the end of the night, we were in the middle of a game when this bartender with short dark brown hair approached us about leaving because they were closed (5-10 mins past 12). I looked around to see 6-8 people sitting around drinking beers. I had a few sips left in mine and he asked me to finish it quick because he didn't want to risk his liquor license. As he was focusing in on my 2 sips left and stalking me as I drank it so he could take my glass, I looked to see multiple people with full beers at the bar. Felt a little weird that he focused in on me. Maybe they were his friends or something. Definitely felt NOT welcome. Never been treated this way around here before, especially with such a great community of people like oceanside. I may return again, but not if he is working! read more

Good to see another locally owned eatery on PCH in Oside! Tried this place today for a quick bite. Sat in bar area. Bartender spot on with service. Had wings and gal pal had turkey burger. Having been in the restaurant business, I think the wings are over priced 6 wings $9.99. Being the wing person that I am, decided to try with BBQ sauce (and Blue; real wing eaters use Blue, Not Ranch). Big, moist wings with the right amount of sauce. Disappointing factor they're breaded wings, but flavorful. Due to fact that other food on menu had decent prices and bartender noted the prices were on low side for the area, I remove one star for what I consider over priced wings. Gal pal enjoyed her turkey burger (came w/fries). Said it was juicy; not dry like turkey burgers can be. We will return with our guys (we were only females in the place) and want to try mini bowling and the table top Ms Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga. Take me back to my early-80's childhood! Nice place to grab a bite to eat with friends and/or family, especially while on vacation. One of the few places in the area that is open late. They have a pretty cool arcade, including mini bowling to keep kids (and adults) busy while waiting for food. It seemed as though they are a bit understaffed... The bartender was the only person working during our Monday night visit, so he was also playing the role of server. He was upfront about it and warned us that the service would be kind of slow. It actually wasn't bad at all, even though they were very busy. My husband and son ordered tacos with beans and rice and the beans were spoiled. My husband (Mexican American) says they must have been left out too long. Unfortunately, my son took a few bites before realizing how awful they tasted. We immediately let our server/bartender know...and he went back to the kitchen and came back and told us that we were absolutely correct about the beans being inedible... and they removed them from our bill. However, my son's stomach was upset for the next several days and he had to spend the rest of his vacation not feeling very well. All of the other food was decent. Was looking for a place to get some wings and cold beer. This place did not disappoint. The vibe walking in is very welcoming. Nice open place, not too crowded and well lit. The pinball games and other games are a great way to spend time while waiting for the food. The sampler we ordered was ok, most of it seemed very basic but the wings were pretty good. We did order an additional 10 wings. We were skeptical about the price but the wings were huge! They were kinda tough but the sauce and the size made up for that. I love Oceanside, and am always stoked when a new business opens here. I was looking forward to checking out Joes, but was somewhat underwhelmed with the experience. The setup is nice, love the wall mural. Plenty of seating as well. What I was bummed about was the lack of AC, I went in looking for some relief from the recent heat wave and it was instead stagnant and warm inside. The menu did look decent, but I didn't want to hang around long enough to try anything. Also, with the large beer selection, I was disappointed that there was not one sour beer on the menu. I should've read the reviews before going, but I have been wanting to go for the longest, so my boyfriend agreed to go. It was the worst decision EVER! I wish I wouldn't have went. We were greeted by one of the bartenders and she was nice, until the GM, Marcus Diaz, took over and was the WORST! I only know his name because I had to search for it. He was very rude. I asked for him to change a TV to one of the other games since that side had 3 TVs with same game and he told me he couldn't because they are set since the morning, mind you, we walked in when the girl bartender had just changed a TV for another customer, so I said ok, thanks. 5 minutes later 2 guys down asked for two TVs to get changed, he doesn't hesitate. Then a guy by me asks to get the same game I want to see, he again doesn't hesitate. I am sure if my BF would have asked he wouldn't mind, but we, us females, like sports TOO! This place is amazing. I come for the arcade, which the crew changes up every 3 weeks. The get the newest pinballs and swap out the unpopular ones. If you want new pinball, go here. Problem is that whoever balances the machines doesn't know how, because the Elvira Machine tilts all the way to the right, Metallica has the snake go down the drain, and speaking of, if you're going to own pinball machines here, look at https://pinballmap.com/sandiego, and look at what you have and don't have that everyone else has. Have something that pops out, so nobody has to drive down to the city for a good collection of pinball. The food is amazing. Both the burgers and the Carne Asada fries are the best. Also, if you hate kids, don't do anything, they've laid out the place so you're not in pizza port. Yes, kids are totally allowed, but they know where to be: towards the front, scaring away the parents ridden of pizza port, so those who know the restaurant just walk through to the pinball.
