The staff was very nice and pretty quick. Didn't take more than five minutes to get my order. Wow. Is the one and only word that comes to minds. I was very overwhelmed when I first sat down to look at the menu. I actually had to put it away because I already felt full. When I took it out again, I told myself to suck it up and try something. Right off the bat this place reminds me of something Man vs Food would be into. How many restaurants serve fried chicken strips, cheese strips and fries in a sandwich. YIKES (talk about heart attack waiting to happen)!! I tend to stay away from the greasy fried food that is served around town but occasionally I get a strong craving. This is the place to go if you want that fatty craving to be filled (for a month). I have been here two times now and felt the same way afterwards. Fat and happy. I have had the Chicken bacon ranch sandwich and the Fat Stimpy (cheesesteak, onion rings, jalapeno poppers, french fries and honey-jalapeno mustard). I feel full just writing about them. Overall this is the best food to have after a long night when you are trying to remember exactly how you got home, other than that it is pretty salty and fills you up for the rest of the day(if not following week). Both times I was able to eat about half the sandwich. I need to go back and order some of their signature poppers (Broccoli or Jalapeno) or their zucchini sticks, which you dont find around town very often. This place has location and hours on its side. Right across from CSU and on the way home from downtown, and how many places stay open until 4am!! I am going to bump Fat Shack up a star. Not because of the food but of the service. Someone that works there contacted me on Yelp and offered me a sandwich on the house from my previous review. I can't fault Fat Shack for being 'bad', it is really based on my own preferences and I just can't eat deep fried food often without getting an upset stomach. Just this last Christmas dinner I was severely nauseated to the point of being sick and thought I had food poisoning. I just ate too much rich and sweet foods and the same situation goes if I ate at Fat Shack again. Once again it is based on my own preferences as to what I like on my sandwiches and I am trying to avoid rich foods so I don't feel ill. For what Fat Shack is it is just fine but I am going to pass on the free sandwich offer. I have about six weeks left before moving to Tacoma, WA and things will get hairy and I will be racing around doing last minute errands and farewells. We ordered and PAID for 3 Philly cheesteaks, only received 2 of them, so I paid $13 for a sandwich that we never got. I should have checked the bag. But then again I guess they did me a favor. This was the worst attempt at a cheese steak I have ever tried. We couldn't even eat what we had. Fries were horrible as well, they were coated in some kind of batter that was really gross. Stopped for lunch with friends. Nice, trendy establishment. My burger was very tasty and the fries were also good. However, the young lady taking orders was not the least bit friendly, no smile, acted like she definitely didn't want to be there as though our coming in for lunch was an inconvenience to her. In addition, out of 6 orders at our table, my food came out first and the rest came out over 7-8 minutes later. This place is great! I was greeted by a friendly smile and was allowed to take as much time as I needed to read over the menu without being rushed. The food takes a little bit longer than other resteraunts although it was worth the wait. Best place to go when you need good food and food to help you get over drinking too much. I bought two snacker things, one chicken and one cheesesteak. I thought these two snacker were small but I was totally wrong. This place is the perfect recipe for a heart attack and I love it. If you're looking for a place that's open super late and caters to the hammered or hungover this is it. Everything is fried to perfection and shoved together on a sandwich. They even have fried Oreos and milkshakes :D my favorite item is the wonder gem it's chicken fingers, mozz sticks, fries, onion rings and golden honey bbq sauce together. Most of the names on the menu have comical names like the fat doobie, so if you plan on getting stoney bologna and get major munchies I would say go here it's great. read more

I went to Fat Shack on a Tuesday night after the bars to get a snack. There were not very many people there, and I would assume they were not getting too many calls on a Tuesday. Nevertheless, it took them a HALF HOUR just to get us our two tiny sandwiches. We requested "for here" when we ordered, but our food was wrapped to go. There was only one, maybe two jalapeno poppers in the jalapeno popper sandwich, and they were not spicy at all. The sauces you were allowed to choose from sounded great, but unfortunately i couldn't detect any sauce at all on my sandwich. Ordered from Fat Shack in Fort Collins tonight. They told me it would be 45 minutes to an hour. I called them back an hour and a half later to find out if it was coming and was given the run around by the guy who answered. He said they only had one driver so it would take a little longer and I said if they'd told us that when we called that would be understandable, so he reversed gears and said sometimes a bunch of people call after an order and that makes my order take longer and they can't expect to know that. 30 minutes later, 2 full hours, the order arrived. The sandwiches are about half the size they were compared to last time we got food here and the fries weren't delivered with the burger. I called to let them know about the fries and they said the menu changed and fries aren't included anymore. Used to be decent service for decent food, now it's terrible service, attitude from mouthy college kids, less food for what is now too much money, and absolutely no attempt to make it better. You lost a customer tonight. Way to go. read more

I really enjoyed eating here- my favorite was a milkshake and chicken wings. Unfortunately they no longer have a mild option so last time I ordered I had to run, tears in my eyes, to grab some milk and even then there was no feasable way for me to finish them /: It's truly a shame- I really enjoyed the milk chicken wings but if your tolerance for hot things aren't zero i'm sure anyone would enjoy them! As a student at CSU, the late night study session prior to midterms is a grueling way to spend an evening. When burnt out on dining hall food and looking for sustenance to push through Calculus homework, I turned to the ol' trusty fat shack on the late Monday night. However, fatshack let me down; my soul was crushed alongside my stomach. We placed our order around 12:00, and waited patiently for the minutes to tick by, knowing that we would soon be rewarded with the deliciousness of a Fat Donkeylips- an excellent sandwich. We were told it would be "20-30" minutes, a reasonable time for any late night delivery place. Yet when the clock ticked up into the 40 and 50 minute range, eventually reaching an hour, our hunger grew as our belief in fatshack diminished. Suddenly, the phone rang. Hope sprung eternal, it was like the sun rising on the horizon, ready to warm our souls with the sweet fat shacky goodness. But this was false hope. They broke the news to us like parents letting their children know that old yeller didn't make it- he was on a better farm in a better place. At 1:10 we were told that "we are behind on our orders, it will be another 20-30 minutes". I was devastated. I haven't felt this sort of emptiness since I had to put down all my goldfish because they developed a rare wart disease. It ravished the entire community. Old Jenson, Jerry, Gary, Mary, Larry, and Bob all died. It was an atrocious genocide that will never be forgotten by me. Yet that event does not hold a candle to the pain fat shack has caused me tonight. I put trust in you. In the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi "You were the chosen one!" This is a rough night for me, and I hope I can once again trust fatshack and their delivery services- but in the meantime I will need to think this over. If you need me, I'll be listening to drake thinking about how good we could've been fatshack, how far we could've gone. You hurt me fatshack, and thats something I can't look past. Ordered at 12:05 told it would be hear at 1:10 called at 1:30 told it would be there in 5 minutes called back at 2 and the cashier quickly told me the were busy and it was on the way after I asked if the driver got lost. I completely get that they get busy I just don't like being told something that's not true or someone not actually checking on my order, the food is fine, sandwiches are a little soggy I just hope I get my order soon. read more

Bad Management and Horrible Hamburgers Good fried food if eaten fresh, however in the sandwitches most of the flavors are indistinguishable. When ordering delivery the sandwitches and their fried contents arrive soggy from the sauces. Receive terrible service from their management who refused to do anything about the inedible food we received. The hamburgers were not medium rare but rare to the point that they were not cooked at all except a quick seer on the outer layer. Management kept claiming that their online menu stated that the burgers are cooked medium rare. Their online menu is Order Up on which the doneness of the burger is not described. Overall the food is definately not worth the price they ask. read more
