Food: the sandwiches were definitely loaded up with the toppings and it tasted good for what it was. It was soo dry though, more sauce on the sandwiches would make it easier to eat. The fries were so good though, can't complain We ordered it for pickup and it was fast, but we didn't eat inside. The vibe is alright, but definitely more of a pickup and eat at home meal. Overall, was expecting it to be tastier but wasn't super disappointed

It was already 830pm on a Sunday and we we needed to satisfy this relentless MFing fury of a craving for burgers. All the burger joints were closing at 9. What to do? Look for options outside ATX. Yelp found us this joint in San Marcos and so glad we went. We got there a little after 9 and the place was busy as it could be. We placed our order of single burgers (they have double and triples) and they came out pretty quick. Our burgers couldn't be any better. We were craving old school, simple burgers and Fat Burgers got em. When I say they were perfect, I mean the fresh patties came with a crust on each side, well seasoned with salt and pepper, squeezed in between two brioche buns, lettuce, tomato, mustard and pickles. How is that not perfection? We also ordered some onion rings. The rings themselves seemed they were dipped into a beer better as it was super light. Whatever their dipping sauce, it was super good: creamy, ranchy and spicy. As we were finishing our meal, we decided to get some churros. Instead of getting up, we just ordered online and by the time we finished eating, VOILA, our churros were ready. We asked for them dusted with powder sugar and a chocolate dipping sauce. Don't miss this checking out this place! Kinda hidden but worth the drive south! Ohhh and check out their other creations - make sure you go hungry!

Small little place in San Marcos with big flavor! My son wanted Philly cheesesteak, so we took a little adventure for something different. It was a little hard to find since we weren't familiar with the town, and maps were telling us to turn behind the building, but we found it, ordered, and food was out fairly quickly. There was lots of flavor and pricey for just a sandwich, but it was definitely a fun adventure for us.

Simple. Do not give this place your money. Had been eyeing this place for a while now and for whatever reason, never made it there. We were looking for a good basic burger and seeing as how we had been eyeing this spot for a while we decided to FINALLY give it a shot. The place by itself is super small, only having 3 booths for you to dine in. The menu is pretty overwhelming. Seems like they are known more for their subs then anything else, at least that's why they were featured on Shark Tank and the Travel Channel. The menu seems like it's pretty much a carnival styled, stoner place, where they pretty much add anything and everything that looks good. Decided to keep it classy with a Classic burger with extra lettuce and pickles and a Regular burger; two patties and a single patty. To make it a combo you need to spend an extra 4$ for the fries and a fountain drink, which wasn't working. As well as, some mozzarella sticks. All for a whopping $36.00 for that amount of money "these burgers better be damn good" We opted to get it to go to where we can enjoy our meal in piece. Extra lettuce and pickles seems to be my standard to see if a restaurant is capable of .... Listening (?) When I cut into my burger I noticed no extra toppings, bummer. Thinking it could easily be saved by the quality of the burger it unfortunately was not. While mine tasted like it was more of a charburger style, tasting my girlfriends led me to believe that no it was just burnt. The fries had potential and while I felt they were Burger King style they tasted as if they were just old and stale. For the amount of money we spent on three items I was expecting something on par with Taproom however this place is just a sorry excuse to grab your money and provide you with a disappointing experience. Would I come here again. Yes, after everything I still would, just to try the stoner subs and to give them another chance but if you are looking for a good burger and fries well, this place is not it. Skip it and just go to In and Out. OH AND THE MOZZARELLA sticks were cold and old. Honestly do they make anything fresh here.

    - Military friendly - I had been waiting to catch this place because they were temporarily closed, WELL WORTH THE WAIT! Didn't even make the to-go order out the door, I had to try it. Sensational doesn't do it justice. Can't wait to try the rest that I ordered but I won't put my fat shack-ness out there

Definitely was intrigued by the menu, but stuck with a cheeseburger and fries. Absolutely yummy! Will be back to try the more creative items on the menu!

Came here one day and had to bring the wife back to try it herself. Brother gave the wings a 10/10 when we came the first time so had to try them this time, along with some other items on the menu!

This place is amazing!! Full of flavor! You can taste every single ingredient and they do not skip out on the portions one bit. I got the regular sized sandwiches but tbh a small would definitely enough (half a sandwich). These sandwiches retain their flavor if you want them for leftovers. Trust me, you'll definitely have leftovers if you get the regular size or you'll just be beyond full after eating the entire thing. I cannot begin to imagine how big the large ones are. If you are in the mood for something super heavy and bad for you, this is the perfect spot! This place knows how to fry their food! I don't have a picture of it but the Fat Bobcat is the best imo!! Their mac & cheese is amazing, it needs to be on every sandwich! I can't wait to try everything else on their menu.

Burger special, burge fries & drink $7!

You CAN split a pizza into two specialty halves. The prices of the two-topping calzone, garden salad, and 3pc tender haven't gone up, which is nice, and the tenders still include a wing sauce AND dipping sauce but cream cheese is no longer a dip option. Specialty items like t-shirts are still listed but at zero dollars and you can't select a size so....perhaps it's still under construction. I doubt it, since my email coupons have also coincidentally dried up recently although the revolving weekly text offers have continued (as of 30 JULY 2026). I hope they still have in-house delivery drivers, because they've always been great people. Perhaps nothing has changed within the brick and mortar, and I truly wish y'all a great time of it. For me, Gumby's was a frequent ritual of petsitting. Sharing pizza crusts with pups and treating myself to a mule and Mountain Dew wasn't fine dining but it was consistent quality and reliable delivery after a day of work and familiar as I settled in at any of several addresses across town. Still tasty, I'll just see them less now because the convenience of the former platform is gone for my typical orders. Time to find new favorites!

If you've tried their drive through before, you know it's not unusual to be asked to pull around into the little mini lot closest to Hunter Rd to wait. Your wait's going to be a bit longer when you order fish (drive through or inside) because like most chicken places they fry it when you order it. Friendly employee brought out our order, and a quick peek told me the order was correct plus they'd included lemon wedges without our requesting it. Last time the tartar sauce was in one big side serving but this time we had several individually packaged shots and again, it was sufficient. When we got in the house I popped the (still very hot) box in the microwave to stay warm while we tended a few critters before plating up. We GORGED on the perfectly crispy fish with lemon and tartar sauce; there was still enough to share small bites with small friends and have the last 1/3 cold the next day. Mr R had some of the hush puppies. He's more partial to savory style than sweet, but we ordered knowing most of them would be a treat for visiting deer that evening. Their okra's done in batter, not seasoned cornmeal, and it's good. Decent flavor produce and not lost in excessive dough. The price went up but we agree the *family boxes* are still absolutely worth it. Just-fried crunchy catfish feeding a minimum of five adults of average appetite for $7/head _after_ tax? Bargain.

We paid nearly $50 for the meal and the macaroni and cheese we paid for wasn't even in the bag when we got home and started unpacking the food. It was so disappointing.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT and open for business again…read more Stopped in a bit late and ordered a meatball sub to go before grabbing drinks and a few groceries next door. It was ready in exactly ten minutes as they advised, and it was beautiful. They give you the option of having your sandwich toasted. YES (I dream of being able to do this at Thunderclouds). Even after a cold few minutes' journey my dinner was still hot when I got home. There was more cheese, pushing into decadent, and I added green peppers as usual. A hint of garlic somewhere, bread's about the same, and right out the gate the meatballs are in the neighborhood of the best quality the original Sunny's offered in a decade's fluctuations. The price was still about the same; even with an add-on it was less than $9 cash and satisfying for a hungry adult. Staff were perfectly courteous and the place is spic and span as expected, having witnessed late night cleaners on premises several times over the weeks they took to reopen. I look forward to revisiting the rest of the menu again here, which includes bagels from the truck they recently ran on the other side of the convenience store.

The cheeseburger was *sublime.* Not only is the bun grilled, the onions are as well, and they do not skimp on the lettuce and tomato. And of course, the mushrooms complement the flavor perfectly. Yes, the cheese is regular American, but sometimes that's all you want. The salad is likewise extremely generous, not only in the mixture of iceberg and romaine, but also in the tomatoes, olives, bell peppers, and shredded cheese. It is truly immense, and absolutely wonderful with a bit of ranch dressing. It's great to have a local carryout place with extremely tasty options. The family both the restaurant and convenience store is super-friendly and helpful. This place is seriously becoming my go-to not only for more traditional carryout like pizza and burger, but also for the salad. First rate.
