Never again. I will come here never again. Worst burger restaurant experience ever. We ordered 3 Original Fat Burger combos. The burger, fries and drink were okay, same as any mediocre burger joint, but the service was atrocious. As soon as we got there, we're were only the second people in line. The man at the register took the order of the person in front of us and then asked us to wait a moment before he could take our order. No worries, we can wait. But he made us wait so he could refill the amount of cups which were already full and then proceeded to do other unnecessary tasks while the line behind us was growing. After about 10 minutes of watching him waste time, he finally took our order and gave us a number stand. Min you, we order it to-go. We sat at a table to wait and all the tables were sticky or dirty. Why wasn't anyone cleaning them instead of dilly-dallying around doing useless tasks? We waited a whole 30 minutes until I got frustrated and went to the counter to see what was taking so long. I politely brought to their attention that I had been waiting for half an hour and they said they're working on my order right now. You mean.... This whole time, my order was forgotten???? I pass by this Fatburger shop weekly and decided to try their basic hamburger for lunch today. The restaurant is very clean-looking, and the young lady taking my order was very nice and polite. After a 10-minute wait in the drive-thru, with only one person ahead of me, my $9.10 hamburger was handed over. The hamburger patty covered the entire bun, and that surprised me. Though the patty was large, it was dry and somewhat overcooked. The deep char flavor made up for a little of that, but it was dry. Overriding all of that was the combination of pickle and mustard. The burger was dry and tart. The shredded lettuce didn't help. I did not see a tomato slice; mustard seemed to be the only spread. Overall, it was disappointing. It should have been in the $4.50 range. Ordering additional condiments or cheese might have wet it down a little. Three stars because of the pleasant staff member. The worker indicates that they don't have any cookies right now that the guy was just now unloading supplies. What I got was a life affirming experience a culinary awakening and a masterclass in leadership all courtesy of Elijah the manager who I can only assume was forged in the fires of hospitality Mount Olympus. First the food. Calling it good would be a gross understatement and frankly disrespectful. This burger did not just arrive at my table it made an entrance. The patty was juicy in a way that suggested it had been emotionally supported throughout its cooking journey. The bun was toasted to the exact level that scientists have been chasing for decades. The toppings were crisp fresh and clearly aware of their role in something bigger than themselves. Every bite whispered you made the right choices in life. Now let us talk about Elijah. This man is not a manager he is a conductor and Fatburger is his orchestra. He moves through the restaurant with the calm confidence of someone who knows deep down that everything is handled. Orders flow smoothly. Staff are upbeat. The vibe is immaculate. If customer service had a gold standard Elijah would be the benchmark and everyone else would just be updating their resumes. At one point Elijah checked in not in the forced robotic how is everything way but in the kind of way where you feel like he genuinely cares about your happiness your meal and possibly your long term goals. I would not be surprised if he also does motivational speaking on the side. The place itself was clean efficient and humming with positive energy. Even the soda machine seemed happier than usual. I have eaten burgers all over but few places make you feel like you are part of something important like you did not just grab lunch you participated in excellence. In summary The food was legendary. The service was impeccable. Elijah is a national treasure. If you are hungry go to Fatburger. If you want great service go to Fatburger. If you want to witness what happens when leadership burgers and destiny align definitely go to Fatburger and hope Elijah is working. I came in for a meal. Cajun chicken was overcooked and chewy. Buns were cold and didn't seem fresh. We went inside and there was no line. I ordered then immediately after I heard the guy on the grill tell the girl at the register to stop taking orders or something close to that. Right after she went and started making shakes and made the guy behind me at the register wait a good 7-10 minutes before she came back to take his order. First off, the portions here are huge and (surprise surprise) the food actually matches the pictures on the ordering window. I got the King Burger with everything and my wife ordered the chicken crispy sandwich. The burger was massive! I only ate half and saved the other half for lunch the next day. My wife's sandwich had an entire chicken breast on it and it was insanely juicy. The kid's meals were pretty basic, just some nuggs and fries. Would I came back? Probably not. At least for a long time; with the wait for food and the high prices (about $50 for our order) it's not quite worth it for me. The food here is delicious and the Maui/banana shakes are great but the service is horrible. Went in for dinner at around 4 pm and no other customers were inside. We ended up waiting almost 8 minutes for our order to be taken and the workers seemed like they would rather be anywhere except at work!!! It took another 15 minutes to get our food which as I said was delicious! We stopped by to try this newish dinner and were quite impressed. It was Americana at its finest! The staff was so friendly and the food arrived super quickly. It is extremely clean and the atmosphere was casual and inviting. There was no one besides us in the restaurant and the drive through line was not long. Maybe many don't know about the joint yet. Which is sad because they deserve to be popular. I enjoyed reading about the history and the story behind Fat Burger's. There's a huge poster inside that I didn't take a pic but basically back in 1947, the incomparable Lovie Yancey started the business with her husband: a three-stool hamburger stand called Mr. Fatburger. But in 1952, they split. Ever persistent, she dropped "Mr." from the namesake, and Fatburger became her own. She worked 18-hour days and made Fatburger into an icon; with celebrities frequenting The Last Great Hamburger Stand. Hubby & I shared an original Fatburger with the works and our children shared boneless wings and a kid's burger. Ordered the smallest burger (adult size) with the large big fries. It all came out in approximately 5 minutes, nice & warm & with all the fixings. The patty was a hand made burger with a bit of char on it - yum!! The fries were hot & very good, personally I like the fries cooked a little longer so next time will ask to be cooked longer.
