As an LA transplant from Texas, I even place In N Out over Whataburger. However, tonight, I tasted Fatburger & Buffalo's Express. Holy shit. This spot is tied neck and neck #1 with a place called P. Terry's for best fast food burger I have tasted. To my knowledge, P. Terry's is only available in Austin and Houston. You bitches don't even know. Stop wasting your time on In N Out. I had not eaten a Fatburger in a while, so today while they were having a promotion, I went out of my way here to order an original Fatburger. It turned out to be one of the best burgers I have ever had at a fast food outlet. It was warm, with all the ingredients that I had specified in my online order. Really used to love fat burger but have to say the quality and preparation of the food lately has been awful. Over cooked dried up patties with slopped together toppings is about all you get here these days. Ordered a XXL burger, sweat potato fries and a turkey burger (all below average, not fresh and practically inedible). Hope Fatburger can pull it together (been going for 20+ years), up their food prep game, quality checks, otherwise it will be an end of an era. read more

After learning that Fatburger was going to be selling Impossible nuggets as well as Craig's vegan milkshakes, I knew I had to make a trip to try these out. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the employee. After inquiring about the ingredients in the vegan milkshake (made with cashews,) I ordered a Maui banana milkshake and hubby ordered a lemonade. As for food, we both ordered Impossible burgers and a ten piece of the new Impossible nuggets. The food was delicious and was quickly prepared. The nuggets were crispy and well cooked. Hubby said "it's the perfect nugget that crispy on the outside and hot and tender on the inside." My milkshake was thick and sweet. The Impossible nuggets were so great, I hope they make it a permanent addition to the Fatburger menu. Although the food it pricey, it was definitely worth the hour plus drive to try these new vegan items! read more

This originally was a Fatburger years if not decades ago, then went away, only to re-emerge in 2021. I like Fatburger. The downside is the new locations, from what I'm told, like this one, does not offer the "FLAME GRILL" option where you get that flavorful cooking method and the grease drips and drops, as opposed to the steel griddle grill style. The one menu item I saw missing that I used to order is the Bacon and Egg sandwich, paired with just a little ketchup, no cheese, it was the prefect 24 hr meal when you wanted something lighter than a hamburger. Added to the menu were hot wings and a few other items I've not seen offered before. The upside of this location is the service. The guy at the counter, a middle-aged Asian man, I speculate might be the manager or even a franchise owner, was so welcoming as you come in and equally as warm and friendly as you left and was very accommodating to special food ingredient and preparation requests. I asked for my burger to be done "Medium Rare" and they accommodated my request, as opposed to the standard answer of most burger places of "We can only cook medium or medium well" This location shares a huge parking lot with other businesses, so it's easy to park here. I personally like Fatburger over In N Out and any fast-food burgers or even peers like The Habit, Smashburger, Five Guys, etc. - - Ice Cube even worked "Fatburger" into the lyrics of one of his hit songs, so you know it's an iconic and legendary spot to eat when in Los Angeles! read more

Well... my last (takeout) order was a bit light on the sauce. I ordered a Thousand Island Burger and they put a very small amount of thousand island sauce, coupled with tomatoes, lettuce, meat and cheese on the sandwich. That was it. The bottom bun was BONE DRY. There was no way I was going to eat it like that, so I added my own Mayo and a touch of ketchup. The fat fries, lemonade and banana milkshake I ordered were all really good. 3 stars for now.....because it's kinda hard to mess up a Fatburger. lol They dropped the ball this time, but this is still one of my favorite burger spots to date and I'll be back to update my review. read more

They just opened last Monday so it seems like they have some details to work out. Although the burgers are supposed to be grilled to order and buns toasted, everything was cold after my 4 minute drive home. Buns were colder than room temperature, as they were cold to the touch. The patties were pretty charred, but yet not warm and juicy. It tasted better after I reheated in the microwave. Onion rings were hard and seemed to have been sitting under the heat lamp for an extended time although I visited at noon. My fat fries were the only thing that were warm. I had also ordered one of my burgers with cheese for the extra $1 but it was missing. I've had better Fatburgers than this. This location can improve. read more

I am a long time Fatburger fan. However , on this visit I noticed that not one employee was wearing gloves. At the very least , the people assembling the burgers should be wearing gloves. It was a little late so many restaurants were closed. Figured that I hadn't had Fatburger in a while (and I heard they have the Impossible burger) so I thought "why not?" as I drove by. Well, I'll tell you why not. Over $10 for just the burger (no fries). It was over $14 for the meal. Decided I was only going to get the burger. The cashier had a tough time counting change. I'm staying at a hotel and after paying I asked the cashier if I could get a cup of ice b/c I had some water at the hotel. She said "of course.... i just have to charge you for the cup." I said "how much is the cup?" Her response: $3.20 (and she seemed so certain that I was going to pay that for a cup of ice). Another customer waiting for her food looked at me like "seriously?" I returned the look of baffle. I said "no thank you. I'm good." and the cashier was a bit shocked that I didn't want to pay over $3 for a cup of ice. The burger wasn't great. I've had it at other restaurants and it was much better (for far less than $10). Needless to say, not planning on returning. Ugh. read more

I love the Fatburger Franchise, but this place doesn't prepare the burgers with the same love as other locations. They really skimp on the mayo, Mustard and relish combination that makes Fatburger great, leading to a dry experience comparatively. I'll drive out to the Redondo Location in the future.
