Old school in the best way. Great drinks, no nonsense, and a crowd that actually cares when Dodgers are playing. Watching a game here feels like a mini stadium, just with better food and shorter lines. And great outside seating patio, perfect for catching some air between innings.

Review #881 2025-054 OTM Club 08/08/21 - 08/14/21 Comped Food Order: Chipotle Chicken Roll (flour tortilla rolled w/chipotle seasoned chicken, cheddar & Jack cheeses, salsa, guacamole) with 1/2 Chips & 1/2 Fries Catching up on my older drafts... Richmond Bar & Grill was on my radar when OTM Club was a thing years ago. This program supposedly introduces entrees, appetizers, or sides that's "off the menu," or signatures/best sellers, in this case it was their local fav: chipotle roll. I'm not in this neighborhood typically & wouldn't have known about this friendly neighborhood bar if it weren't for OTM Club. Did you know that El Segundo doesn't have metered parking? It's free street parking or private lots, there's a private lot diagonally across from bar on Franklin Ave. & Richmond St. I called in my order while en route & given a 20-min. pick-up window, which was perfect as Waze estimated the same arrival time. I found this watering hole quite cozy, & somewhat quiet for a Monday afternoon. It's not quite 5:00 PM yet. Hehehe... My order was ready & needed to wait for staff (no one was around) to locate my order. It was still warm by the time she retrieved it. I took a bite of the fries, which were nice & crisp, before heading home. By the time I got home, I was pretty hungry. Digging in immediately, the chipotle chicken roll was lukewarm but quite tasty, if a tad skimpy on the filling. Menu consists of: starters, burgers, local favs, sandwiches, chicken, hot dogs, salads, & desserts. And to quench your thirst, they offer craft, artisan brews, with moderate price points that's on par with the neighborhood. Service, when found, is efficient & prompt. Richmond Bar & Grill is your friendly neighborhood, chill dive bar that serves good eats & refreshing brews. Recommend: Chipotle Chicken Roll with Fries & Chips.

Great vibe; a lot of great seating options including an outdoor living-room-like space! Beyond burger was decent and beer selections were great! Friendly service, nice neighborhood feels.

Very tasty hamburger I think I'll go for the homemade potato chips though next time

This is my second time at the bar and Grill four of us went in for lunch after seeing a movie across the street at the Old Town Music Hall. It's nothing fancy, but the food is very good. I had a western bacon cheeseburger, which was delicious. They were very busy, but the service was still OK. Enjoyed this visit as well as the first one definitely will return when in the area.

Ambiance: stylish and trendy bar, good vibes for small groups in the main room, and big event could utilize the backyard patio and private room, fully of painting decorations Service: super friendly and very professional Food & Drink: variety choices on their menu Famous Chips - **** Homemade and cut fresh daily, so crunchy, recommend Deep Fried Pickles - *** Served with choice of dipping sauce, bold taste Sliders - **** mini burgers served on Kings Hawaiian Sweet Rolls, choose between regular with American cheese, or teriyaki with jack cheese, very juicy patty, recommend Chipotle Roll - *** Flour tortilla rolled with chipotle seasoned chicken or steak, cheddar, and jack cheese, salsa and guacamole Food Fight Hazy IPA - *** Common Space Brewery IPA - New England / Hazy Price: generous portions and affordable prices, expect $20+ per person

Really fun spot with great atmosphere and amazing patio. TVs outdoors to watch a game with lots of seating. Bar food is very good - fried zucchini is a must.

First time here! I never knew El Segundo has a cool downtown! We were treated by our vendor to this local bar and grill and it instantly became our favourite spot! It's very neighbourhood-y vibe which is fun! The food! Must try! THEIR CHIPS! Love the crispiness and flavour of it! Also I got to try their local favourite "Peanut Butter Bacon Cheese burger"! Yep you've read it right! Peanut butter on cheese burger, i thought it wasn't heard of but this place made it possible! And that they asked you to trust them that the combination works! Haha and I fell in love with it! Its so good, that balance on flavour works! The sweet peanutty tastes compliments the salty bacon and burger patty plus the tomato waters down the two main ingredients! Love it! You gotta try it!

This is a great spot to hang out after work. For my single girlfriends, this is your place. At least on a Thursday night. Fun music. Good food.

This nails the ambiance. Relax, you're in El Segundo.

This feels like a remnant from another time. A neighborhood bar with a comfy, relaxed vibe that feels like a gathering spot for friends who have decades of history. The wine was tasty and a bottle cost $24. Such a fantastic deal when I was starting to get used to being ripped off with a glass costing $17 elsewhere. We got a couple of appetizers and they were polished off toute suite. Friendly service without being in your face all the time. Clean and casual decor. I don't live in El Segundo but I'm absolutely coming back.

Driving down main street El Segundo at night, you'll find a mixture of upscale restaurants and divey-type sports bars. Neither one of these your thing? Well, just one street over you'll find the most delightful old bar that serves up some delicious dishes and refreshing libations, while being serenaded by a tasteful selection of Indie Rock tunes. We highly recommend the Onion Rings to start and the Fiesta Burger, which our waitress recommended. And since it was a rather chilly evening, the soup of the day, which was Enchilada Soup, warmed our tummies and our spirits. Cons: The girl who took our drink order was a little gruff, but our server was wonderful.

    Are kids allowed?

Yes, at least during the day, but I would imagine that since it is a restaurant they would always be allowed. Have fun; great place / great vibe / great food.

Our server was great, very quick to get our drinks and put our order in. When our food came out all I said was "WOWZERS" the tenders were a very big portion and you can def share and they come with fries. Their onion rings were good but I keep going back for the fries instead. I did love that they had their own ranch and dips they were both great. We also got an order of their distracts and those were my favorite and will probably get them again, delicious, crispy and their salsa was really good and flavorful. Loved that the tortilla was crunchy usually they are soggy in other places and the topping usually fall out but these were 10/10. The ambiance was a mix of people but it's basically a super neat Bar with Great foot by the Pier/ Beach and has been there for many years. There's a lot of history in the walls and it's super neat that they've kept the place looking like this. There's bathrooms were a bit funky but did the job when you gotta go. They were clean tho. Def would be back to hang here with friends and catch a game. I highly recommend the Tenders!!

The first thing I noticed about Manhattan Beach Post was the plants. Not because there were a few…read moreplants. Lots of restaurants have a few plants. These plants appeared to have union representation. They're everywhere. Hanging from things. Growing out of things. Quietly observing your meal. The whole place feels like someone built a really nice restaurant and then let nature move in as a long term tenant. The room hums. Not loudly. Not aggressively. Just enough. Glasses clink. People lean into conversations. Servers weave through the room carrying plates that look heavy enough to alter their center of gravity. Nobody seems rushed. Everybody seems busy. It's a difficult balance. The biscuits arrived first. Now, I'd heard about the biscuits. People talk about these biscuits the way fishermen talk about the one that got away. Slightly dramatic. A little emotional. Hard to verify. Turns out the stories were true. Warm bacon cheddar biscuits with maple butter. I took one bite and immediately understood why people order a second round. The outside has just enough structure to remind you it's baked. The inside is soft enough to make you wonder whether butter has secretly become a building material. We ordered another. Not because we needed another. Because apparently that's what happens here. The creamy polenta showed up next and felt like the culinary equivalent of a weighted blanket. Comforting. Smooth. Relaxed. The sort of dish that encourages you to slow down and stop checking your phone. The duck was one of my favorites. Lightly fried with crisp skin and tender meat, resting on white Italian beans and rosemary. It felt like something a French chef would cook after spending a weekend in the countryside and becoming briefly inspired by fresh air. At some point you stop evaluating food and simply nod in agreement with it. This was one of those moments. Dessert was equally dangerous. The olive oil cake arrived with strawberries and disappeared much faster than logic suggested it should. The cheesecake somehow managed to be rich and light at the same time, which feels like it should violate a law of physics somewhere. Service deserves its own mention. The whole team operates like a group project where everyone actually did their part. Plates appeared when they should. Water glasses mysteriously refilled themselves. Questions were answered without anyone making you feel like you should already know the answer. The chef's French influence shows up everywhere, but not in a showy way. Nothing feels complicated for the sake of being complicated. Everything feels like somebody spent a lot of time thinking about it so you wouldn't have to. By the end of the meal, I realized Manhattan Beach Post had done something difficult. It felt special without feeling serious. You can dress up. You can come casually. You can celebrate something important or absolutely nothing at all. Just order the biscuits. The plants already know you're going to.

Good experience at this restaurant in Manhattan beach. Modern take on Southern and general American…read morecuisine. Food was great, but not mind-blowing in my opinion. Some dishes could've been executed better. Going down the list of dishes I had here: - Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits: These were more like scones rather than biscuits. Crunchy with good bacon and cheddar flavor. - Japanese Hamachi Crudo: Unique and I liked the citrusy flavor and creamy texture. However, 3 small slices of fish for $26 was overpriced. - Leafy Greens & Radicchio: Solid and crispy salad with a nice tangy dressing. The cheese also added a lot of sharp flavor which was nice. - Skirt Steak: Good flavor and char, but a bit tough. Also some dry pieces. - Chilean Sea Bass: Lemon orzo risotto was creamy and delicious. The sea bass itself was okay, nothing special. It felt overpowered by the risotto. The fish was moist and flaky though. - 20 Oz Prime Beef Ribeye: Quality was subpar relative to price. Portion size was solid by the steak itself was inconsistent. Some of the pieces were rarer while others were more well-done even though we asked for medium rare. There were also some dry pieces which I did not like. Flavor was good though. - Strawberry and Olive Oil Cake: Was confused since there was just a thin layer of cake, but realized the title also referred to the mousse. I would title it 'Strawberry Mousse with Olive Oil Cake" to make it less confusing. Regardless, this was a delicious dessert! Love the fruity strawberry and savory pistachio flavors as well as the smooth textures. - S'mores sundae: Got this on the house for my aunt's birthday. A generous portion but the components were a bit too sweet for my liking. I visited this restaurant for a birthday that I organized and my experience was overall good. Reservation was made easy using OpenTable and I could also mention it was for a birthday occasion. The ambiance was gorgeous with good mood lighting. Good for group and 1 on 1 dining. Parking is metered or street parking. Overall, I probably wouldn't come out of my way to dine here again, but my experience wasn't bad just not significant enough to put in my rotation. Would come back if someone treated me here though.
