Poor servers were slammed from how busy they were. The whole Downtown El Segundo area is a real treat. Shared two apps and a burger. - Irish Fries had some nice cheese coverage and the fries have a really great potato flavor. It really reminds me of Island's fries if any of you have been to that chain. Stellar especially with ranch and blue cheese on the side! - Chili Chips had a BUNCH of chili on top. Real tomato flavor that I really enjoy and super beefy. Only drawback was that the chili had a lot of liquid so the chips were instantly soggy. Kind of a bummer by the end of it. - Bacon Bleu Cheese Burger was massive. Thick patty, big pieces of bacon and globs of bleu cheese. Everything I want in a big ole burger. I'm not in this neighborhood typically & wouldn't have known about this friendly neighborhood bar if it weren't for OTM Club. Did you know that El Segundo doesn't have metered parking? It's free street parking or private lots, there's a private lot diagonally across from bar on Franklin Ave. & Richmond St. I called in my order while en route & given a 20-min. pick-up window, which was perfect as Waze estimated the same arrival time. I found this watering hole quite cozy, & somewhat quiet for a Monday afternoon. It's not quite 5:00 PM yet. Hehehe... My order was ready & needed to wait for staff (no one was around) to locate my order. It was still warm by the time she retrieved it. I took a bite of the fries, which were nice & crisp, before heading home. By the time I got home, I was pretty hungry. Digging in immediately, the chipotle chicken roll was lukewarm but quite tasty, if a tad skimpy on the filling. Long Saturday at work and missed lunch so I wanted to try a place I've driven by a lot. Immediately greeted upon entry by an enthusiastic bartender. There was a party out back and the front patio was pretty stacked so I sat inside at the bar. With the vast selection of beer I asked for a sample of their sour which was quite tasty (spacing on the name). Fuddled a little picking food so I asked how the "4 alarm" chili was. "It's got some good heat if you're into that"... which almighty am I. Love the hottest things on the menu everywhere. I ordered the chili burger with chips... what comes out is chili with chips. Not mad, I guess I save of the calories that way. Major disappointment when the "4 alarm" chili has the same scoville rating of water. I barely got the spice from the chili powder let alone 4 alarms. Maybe a bad batch? The chips were very tasty though so it basically a wash. Ordered a Mayberry for desert and watched the college baseball game for a bit before leaving. I'll likely come back to peruse more of the menu. It is basic bar food, IMO, but there are some staples (bacon blu burger, Buffalo blu chicken, Irish nachos) that I'm willing to give a try. I used to eat here all the time, but they deleted the "Traitor" sandwich (breaded chicken) from the menu. It's not that the balance of the menu isn't any good, it's just that a dozen different variations on burgers doesn't distinguish the menu from a million other places that also feature a dozen different variations on burgers. But good breaded-chicken sandwiches are hard to come by. Their homemade potato chips are the best I've ever had ANYWHERE. As part of a City of El Segundo food tour, we started at the Old Town Music Hall, where we were graced with watching an old Felix the cat film accompanied by the Mighty Wurlitzer organ. We walked over to the Richmond Bar & Grill. We passed the large outdoor front patio and were led through a narrow corridor, along a wall, through a tunnel and emerged in a fantastic refurbished garage with echoes of an El Segundo of the past. Okay, I made up the tunnel but the back patio had televisions watching the Angels and Dodgers opening games and was filled with baseball fans. The garage had old style chairs and sofas with a serving area in the back. The open garage door spilled out into the back patio. There were many appetizers and there famous pickled potato chips as well as sliders and other goodies that our gang enjoyed but I could only eat the chips. They did have a great selection of beers and wine. For me being Gluten Intolerant, I appreciated a kind server getting me a wonderful salad with avocado that kept this lightweight & cheap date alcohol wise in check. Salad in hand I was able enjoy the libations and the cozy homey atmosphere created at this fun joint. read more

The food here is really great, and they have a good selection of Wine, Beer, and Cider. The burgers are really good and a nice variety. I love getting the chips instead of the fries, trust me on this they are sooo good. The patio is so nice because you can sit outside and enjoy yourselves, and there's lots of space so it's a great place for groups. The last two times I've been there for lunch, the wings were scrawny and undone and the chips were limp. Not the RB&G I remember. The service has always been and still is 5 stars! The ambience varies. in terms of decor it's an old school bar. The last time I was there for lunch (a Friday) the place was hopping. Today at lunch (a Monday) it was uncrowded. I had 1/2 fries and 1/2 chips and both were fresh cut potatoes and we're really food. My friend ordered the Chili Burger-Patty covered with 4-alarm chili, jack, and cheddar cheese with onions. It was a fork & knife kind of chili burger , as it was over flowing with chili :). Wasn't too hot spicy, it has a little l kick. Those that can't handle it too spicy , you'll be ok!
