This is a takeout only place, part of a communal kitchen. There are 3 tablets to check in for your order, which upon checking in, a locker door opens. The food options all looked great, especially with affordable pricing! However, the taste was meh. I got the greens & grains bowl and something was not hitting flavor profile wise. Maybe I needed more rosemary balsamic. I'm not a fan of parsley and somehow it was in there - maybe part of the cabbage salad. As a veg, the fact that this is a fast food spot focused on healthy eats is amazing! Maybe I'll try a different dish next time and see how it goes. read more

Food is fast and flavor is great. It is a ghost kitchen so you won't be able to sit down. Food is very affordable, wish there were more fast food places with healthy options at a decent price. Hard to go wrong with any of the options. Will always be my go to spot for late night eats without hating myself. Do be careful as there will definitely be some nights where they will skim you on the meats. Got a chicken garden bowl and they're barely any chicken in it. But usually it's okay. Just be careful. GHOST KITCHEN. Both bowls were great. For the salad bowl I did the smoky chipotle & hot sauce actually really good. The flavors we mixed in well. With the rice bowl we did the Rosemary Balsamic with the spicy sauce definitely addicting. There's is no server/service as it's just an order pick up and go. It was confusing walking in as I didn't know you had to order ahead online or they have a single kiosk in the hottest corner of the "store". Been ordering for a while but today they made a grave error. I am vegan and they sent me a chicken bowl instead of chickpeas. Really hungry and now I gotta find something else to eat. Super basic to get this simple thing right. Edit - not sure I appreciate owner's response. Dietary needs? Way more than diet. This is a moral and ethical issue. I choose to be vegan not because of my diet. It's way bigger than that. To open a meal I expect to enjoy because I have enjoyed it in the past and see the flesh of an animal is beyond disgusting. I recently started putting more effort towards eating healthy. I was starving and wanted something that was delicious and nutritious Ben's fast food offered just that and I was surprised at how quick it came out and how convenient it was to pick up. One thing I really loved about the chicken and veggie bowl is the base of the bowl was chopped up, broccoli and carrots and not some half cooked cabbage or bag salad. I stumbled upon this place while browsing through Uber eats and decided to give this place a try! Interesting concept where you order online and then you pick up through a locker. We got the chicken mixed bowl and the pork mixed bowl. Food was pretty healthy and ingredients seemed fresh! We also got the chickpeas and potato. I wasn't sure if it was the flavoring or not but it tasted very salty.... We couldn't eat much of it by itself unless we mixed it a lot with the rice or veggies. I didn't even know this place existed until I found it on Uber Eats. I was jonesing for something clean and vegan after having bbq pork ribs for lunch, but was getting tired of salads so I got the green smoothie, a bowl, and the chocolate pudding and was surprised at how good it was. I will absolutely be back. Ever since Natural World closed I felt like there weren't any good vegan options in the neighborhood but I was wrong. First time ever trying out this place and I loved it! I bought 3 of the chicken bowls and 2 pork shoulder bowls for my family and everyone was happy and satisfied. The bowls were very filling and everything tasted fresh and delicious! Will definitely be ordering again from here next time I'm in town :) Also side note: finding this place was a little hard at first, there's no big sign or anything like that. What a lovely hidden gem! I was feeling burned out with my regular rotation of healthy eats from Mendocino Farms, Sweetgreen, Health Nut, etc., and was looking for a simple/clean bowl or salad. Via Postmates, I ordered the Chicken Mixed Bowl with Smoky Chipotle sauce and the Hearty Bowl with Chicken and Ranch with two green smoothies. My boyfriend and I loved our bowls (he did wish he got my smoky chipotle sauce since the vegan ranch didn't QUITE scratch his traditional ranch itch). The chicken was very juicy, and tender, and the vegetables and greens were crisp and fresh. The portion size was incredibly generous and left us satisfied. The smoothies were refreshing and delicious with a very tropical-forward flavor profile. This may have been because of delivery, but the consistency of the smoothie was a bit thinner and whipped, like a fresh juice frappe, which I enjoyed as a complement to the meal and didn't make me too full. Will absolutely be ordering/picking up from Ben's again! ALSO--the prices are HARD TO BEAT. We got several extras on both our bowls and they were still under $12 via Postmates. I inadvertently chose this place without knowing it was entirely gluten-free and dairy-free! So very allergen friendly. I got the one bowl that's vegan, and it was...okay. Not bad by any means but not fantastic. I'd eat it again but wouldn't go out of my way to do so. You can see in the pic- the chickpea-potato mix is like gray in color? Idk, it was just a little odd. Didn't really taste of too much. That said, the chipotle cashew sauce was vegan and so yummy! I did enjoy that. I also thought it was very reasonably priced! $10 for a bowl that was pretty filling. And they were not stingy with the walnuts I added! So those are both a major bonus. I also tried the chocolate mouse - I'm sad to say it but it was kinda disappointing. It was late at night and I was looking for something quick but healthy and high protein after a workout. First time ordering here and I felt a bit deceived since it doesn't mention on Yelp that it's part of a shared kitchen arrangement. You don't realize it until you drive up and walk into the waiting area and see the lockers and iPads. Their menu seemed almost identical to one of the other places, Umami Express, which included similar bowls just with different sauces. The wagyu bowl was the biggest disappointment. First, the price tag of $24 for a bowl. And then the wagyu actually looked and tasted more like a tough piece of brisket or hanger steak. The meat portion is also very small compared to the veggies and mixed green or millet base so you would have to order an extra side of meat to make it worth it. Secondly, each bowl comes with one very small container of your choice of sauce but that small container of sauce isn't nearly enough for the whole bowl so it feels like they're trying to nickel and dime you to pay for extra sauce and extra meat to make the bowl a complete meal. The chicken bowl was fine but the portion of chicken was minuscule compared to the mixed greens and millet with other veggies so it tasted more like a veggie bowl with chicken as the garnish. Since it's one of those shared kitchen set ups, there's really no "service" and the vibe is just like an Amazon drop-off point since you place your order on the provided iPad and just wait around until someone at the window calls your name. I don't know why they even add the option for tipping on those iPads at places like this. Even though it is healthy "fast food" and open late, it is just not worth the cost based on the portion of meat served in each bowl. read more
