Today is a lovely Saturday. The clouds are wisping. The wind is howling and my dog is nestled up all at home as I was out on the town in San Marcos Texas. I was driving down the interstate furniture road and I gazed my eyes to the right only to be delighted by the site of a brand new Shake shack. I pulled into the parking lot, which was set up kind of odd. We need to get in contact maybe with the civil engineers who designed this parking lot as I'll give them a piece of my mind however, I was able to find parking pretty quickly. After parking, I walked up to the store as you walk in. It smells like a new house. The building is very clean. The interior is well maintained, though it has been open for a short amount of time to my understanding. One of my biggest pet peeves in today's world is the order yourself kiosks and if you don't like these, do not come here because that's all they have. My biggest frustration with these is that they ask for a tip now why would I tip a computer? The computer didn't do anything for me? Is this tip going towards AI funding? Is this tip gonna contribute to the mass global AI infrastructure building process?? I'm not sure but I do not like them. As I was ordering my food, someone who seemed like a manager came up to me and asked me if I needed assistance. I really appreciated that though I did not need assistance. We ordered our food $47.98 later!! oh my goodness talk about a overpriced hamburger!! after receiving our food I was somewhat disappointed that they do not have a self serve fountain machine because after some extensive research, I found that the operating cost of a self service vending machine machine soda dispensing machine is not that pricey . We received our food. The food was tasty though I was lacking some of my additional onion rings which I added for $1.49 something like that. It only came with like three tiny onion rings. The bacon was tasty. The french fries with the bacon was OK it's kind of heavy. I had to look for a restroom pretty quickly after visiting this establishment. That's typically a good sign though because I ate all my food. It just sat in my belly a little bit crooked. All in all food was pretty tasty. The soda pop was pretty good. The fries were pretty good. I would recommend this place if you're looking to pay a lot for a hamburger, but if you're not in and out is a better choice As always, thank you so kindly and so deeply for reading my very thick review. Couple things folks. I give 5 Stars for M-F lunchtimes. Weekends it gets busy, it can get a little hyphy in there, little crunk (3.5 star). They are pricey, but if you download the app they give a lot of free burgers/free chicken. Order by app on your way in for no wait. Ask for a cup of ice and they have filtered water, save ya a couple bucks. Eat good on a budget, that's Something Good--for sure. Staff and mgr on point, super nice in here. read more

Therefore, when I came up to the order pick up, my order had been sitting for over five minutes. I casually mentioned this to the staff but they did not seem interested in resolving the issue or acknowledging it. I suppose they didn't know what to say as it was a mobile order and probably out of their scope. I ordered the basic sandwich and fries and they both tasted good, although not as hot or fresh as it would have been if the mobile order notification worked. I recommend that customers check on their pick up order as soon as they arrive to the restaurant to prevent any issues with their order being ready. read more

On today's outing I find myself in San Marcos, at the "Shake Shack". Upon arriving you find ample seating inside and an area outside where pets are welcomed. If you don't want to get out of your vehicle they offer a drive through. As you enter you're greeted by someone at the counter. Right here you have the option to order at the counter or the kiosk on the side. I chose the kiosk, for me I can see better and I can take my time. As you enter your order or if you get your order at the counter you get a number to put by your table and they'll bring your food out to you, which is nice. Well talking about the food, I ordered the Two Meat Chesseburger with Bacon and Bacon & Cheddar Fries. The burger was outstanding, evenly cooked with lots of flavor. The fries were delicious, the cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon took the fries to another level. You have many options but with whatever you choose you can't go wrong. Definitely a good choice, the only issue is that it's a bit pricey but the food is worth it. read more

The single patty burger was mediocre. It had no flavor; it was sloppy, and the bun was weak (i.e., cheap and thin). The fries must have been sitting under the heating lamp all day because they looked well done and felt warm, but they were not fresh. I'll give them one star for the onion rings, one for the coke and strawberry lemonade, and the one for friendly service. Unfortunately, if I rate them any higher, I'd be lying to you. After a long day of shopping in Premium outlet, we went over Tanger outlet to take a look. Happy to say, that's how we found Shake Shack... just beside Outback. Upon entering, you have the option of going to the counter to place and order or via kiosk. There was a line to the counter so went via kiosk. We ordered the Shake stack, Korean bbq double burger and crinkle fries. It has been a while since I've been to Shake Shack. The burgers were as good as ever. Very tasty. Lots of umami flavor. To have a fabulous Shake Shack in the outlet area is just the bees knees for me. I love the menu items and easy peasy ease it is to dine here. I love this location too because it might be the only one I have ever seen with a drive-thru option too! Inside there are plenty of spots to hang out in the a/c to cool down from your summer shopping. The patio outside is also nice to do some parking lot watching with fans outside as well. If it is crowded inside come outside as there is plenty of seating and spacious. I came here to celebrate my birthday with my family. I love burgers too much to not have a birthday celebration at Shake Shack so it only felt right. We were encouraged to put tables and chairs together to accomodate the large birthday turn out I ended up having. Having the self order kiosk was ideal too to not have to deal with a large check at the end for our large group. Parking is easy and never full even if it is busy inside. Super easy. Now for the menu. This is not just another fast food burger like in/out or whataburger. They have elevated the burger selections with Gouda cheese, grilled onions, adding bacon and avocado and a portobello mushroom burger stuffed with melted Gouda. The burger had crispy edges, which added flavor to the beef! All were super fresh and the crinkle fries were really good. Disappointed they sold out of Parmesan garlic fries on a Sunday, but will be back. And can we talk about the shakes?
