(I wonder if they are getting this Sunset location mixed up with the Sunset location by the mall???) Being a mostly vegetarian, we haven't been to a burger place for a long time until Fat Burger started selling the Impossible Burger !! Since then, it's like our once or twice a month Saturday dinner splurge. We have always had great and fast service,(it is made to order, so it does take about 10 minutes), very tasty food, and the milk shakes are outstanding! We don't go in the drive thru, so I can't say nothing there, we go in and place our order at the counter. Getting back out into Sunset can be a pain, if you try it right there at the Sunset/ Mnt. Been in Vegas since 1991 and this was my first time at a Fatburger. I thought it was cool that you can order various sizes of patties from s to xxxl. Then you choose the toppings from the basic to items they charge for such as cheese and an egg. They were even willing to serve my sons without the bun. The lady taking our order was very friendly and willing to explain. She cooked the burgers in front of us as we sat at the counter. They also have lots of fry choices including sweet potato fries. The place was very clean. My only complaints were the prices and hardly being able to understand the lady due to her accent. Not a bad experience at all. Everything tasted fresh. read more

The food is good. I went through the drive thru and service was fast. Burgers are good and their fat fries are delicious.

I guess it's really my fault for not learning my lesson the last couple of times. I went into this fat burger with the resolve to make sure to order the burger with no salt as the few times I've been here it has been the saltiest hamburger I've ever had in my life. I decided to get the kids meal, as the regular burger is a bit larger than I can usually finish. So I ordered the kids meal. This is where it all went so wrong. As someone else mentioned in another review, the Hispanic man on the register/speaker has zero people skills. My main problem with him was that he doesn't seem to really understand English at all. The first thing I asked was if onion rings can be substituted in the kids meal for the french fries. I asked that twice, he said yes. Never once did he say that would be an additional charge. Secondly, I asked him can you get the chili separately in a cup? He said "chili cheese fries? I said no, the chili by itself, not on anything. And he said yes and it sounded like he asked me what size. So I said a small cup of chili. He said OK fine. When I drive up to the front I have this feeling that something was going to get screwed up. Sure enough, I got the receipt and prepared for the long wait that there always is at this Fatburger. I looked at the price for the chili which was the add-on price of $1.35. So at that point I knew that they either didn't understand or just disregarded my request for the chili to be a cup of chili by itself. I was trying to figure out if they were going to slather my onion rings with chili or put it all over my burger - *neither* one of which did I want. Sure enough, when the kids meal came out the burger was a chili burger, which is something I have never wanted and would never order. The onion rings were the huge large order, they were not part of the kids meal. I got charged for the full side order of onion rings instead of it being part of the kids meal as a substitute for the french fries. Additionally, I didn't even get the fries which I obviously paid for since they charged me for the onion rings completely separately. I realized once I took the bag of food that there was no point in asking them to change what was wrong with the order as the guy didn't understand me the first two or three times I tried to explain it and he certainly would not understand what I was trying to say about how to fix the problem. I have to realize that unless I want something exactly as it appears on the menu with no changes whatsoever, I just won't go to this fat burger again. Employers out there, please employ people that speak at least a minimum level of English. Maybe this guy was the franchise owner I don't know, but he truly didn't understand much of anything that I said - which in my opinion is a bad look for a business. read more

Fatburger is the most underrated burger of all time. Seriously, it's so dang good. Even though we have a location in Orange County, it's still a tradition for my husband and I to eat this as our farewell meal anytime we leave Nevada after a great vacation. The location inside Sunset Station didn't open as early as we liked, so we found a close by standalone location. Food was delicious as always. The meat is such good quality. It crumbles in a good way, meaning it is not stiff like many hamburger patties. Its also seasoned to perfection. We each ordered the half pound with extra cheese, with all the toppings & grilled onions. We also shared the fat fries and the onion rings. Everything was terrific. Truly amazing. Next time we will each do the smaller burger, because we couldn't finish ours with the sides. The fries are always hot and fresh, and the onion rings are hand battered, not from a bag. I mean I love a Fatburger burger they are delish, but their impossible burger is as good without the guilt. Who am I kidding I have no guilt over a burger. No one ever came back with my card. 15 min goes by and the other guy came on yelling in Spanish to the crew and opened the window to ask me what I ordered. I told him and asked if I could have my card back and they couldn't find it! They finally recovered it and asked to retake my order for the 3rd time cus the computers shut down. They then said they never charged my card cus they never started the order, So then ANOTHER manager comes after they charged my card and said "you didn't want cheese right?" I said I wanted cheese so they asked for another $1.35. He tried to say I said no cheese but I said you weren't hearing me correctly because I clearly said cheese, felt like a scam tbh. Anyway, once that debacle was over, 20 min of drive thru craziness they ask me to pull over and they will bring it out to me. 15 min more of waiting and $20 they bring it out to me, But GET THIS, the sweet potato fries were all BURNT TO A CRISP. Had an interesting encounter at this place just now. I've been to fat burger around Vegas a dozen or so different times and I always like it. Food is always great, and I usually prefer it to the craziness of in and out. Anyways, first time hitting this location - recently moved here so I thought I'd give it a go. Went to the drive thru lane and there's a sign explaining the headset is broken so just order at the window, no big deal. So I drove up and wait patiently behind one other car in front of me. I get to the window shortly after, and after about a minute a guy pops his head out the window and says "yeah?" And I like look at him, kinda confused and say "I want to place an order..?" So, I order my food saying "I want a large fat burger adding cheese and bacon (he says, we have no fresh bacon, I say that's fine just cheese then) and no onions, I want the onions grilled; also no relish or mustard (having ordered from other locations many times knowing they put these things on their burgers). Meanwhile he's entering this into the computer, and he says "just tell me what you want on your burger". And I'm like "... uh, just everything minus the things I mentioned" to which he VISIBLY rolled his eyes at me, like what?!? So I just tell him "mayo lettuce tomato pickles and the onions" like kinda confused that he would ask me that - definitely the first time I've been asked that question. When I showed up at the Sunset location on 07/31/2023, I went inside and told the two female staff I had an online order. They acknowledged I was there and started talking amongst themselves. A couple of times they repeated back that I was picking up an online order. There were a few pickup orders on the counter but not once did they make a move to check if an order with my name was on the counter. After a few minutes, I happened to check my phone and realize that the order was actually placed at a different location. Upon realizing this, I apologized to the staff, letting them know that the order actually went to a different location and was not there. I turned around and said, "Excuse me?!" to which the female short order cook gave me a dirty look and dismissed me with a hand motion. Negatives: Pricey. Their smallest burger starts at around 5 dollars going up to 10 for an XXL burger. Their biggest, which is the XXXL burger, will have you forking up some serious coin. These prices are just for the burgers. Of couse you can get all these with fries and drink for an additional charge. You can get fat or sknny fries. So you see a combo meal can get pretty expensive especially if you are feeding a family of 4 or more. They also have turkey burgers. I have ordered it twice. The first time it was overcooked so it was a bit dry and bland. The second time they didnt cook it thoroughly so it was a bit bloody still. Never again will I order the turkey burger. Those times were drive thru so I was too lazy to drive all the way back to complain and have it redone. Service is decent. Of course you gotta wait awhile especially if the place is packed. All their locations have a retro 50's, 60's, 70's rock and soul themes. Some locations even have a jukebox for your listening pleasure. So overall, it's a decent place to go to every so often. Ok. so in theory, this should be a good burger. Similar in style to other freestyle patty establishments and marketing the calories, I figured it would at least have some flavor. I ordered the smallest 1/3 lb burger. They have 1/2 lb, 1 lb and a king size burger as well. The product I got caused memories of old sitcom sketches where they squeeze the patty in their armpits. (PLEASE NOTE, THE RESTAURANT AND EMPLOYEES APPEARED VERY CLEAN AND I AM NOT IMPLYING ANY HEALTH HAZARDS) Simply put, the oddly shaped, grey patty was unappetizing. Inside, not a shred of pink was to be found. The 1 lb burger was simply 2 patties so looked just as unappetizing. They upcharge you on everything so the three of us paid nearly $40.00 for two adult burger combos and a kids meal. The buns were boring and soggy. The burger tasted ok but lacked any special flavor. In fact, the tomatoes, pickles, onions, mustard and other toppings completely drowned out any possible flavor from the meat instead of enhancing it.
