Fatburger is a chain on the west coast, for those that have never been. The burgers are indeed "fat" as you can get all the way up to 1.5lb worth of meat! They are tasty and fresh to order, but that's where the positives stop.. They are very expensive for a chain "fast food" burger joint. When compared to Smash Burger, they are almost double the price. Especially cuz Smash Burger ALWAYS has coupons. Compared to Five Guys, they are less greasy, but more expensive. Compared to In N Out, Fatburger's burgers are larger, but not as tasty, @ double (OR MORE) the price of In N Out. I'd rather buy 2 or 3 In N Out burgers for the price of one Fatburger.. They have two fry types: Thick Steakhouse fries, and "Skinny" fries. I'm not a Steakhouse fries fan, cuz they usually are too thick like you're eating mini unflavored baked potatoes. Their Skinny fries taste like Burger King's breaded fries from the 90's and 2000's. Smash Burger's skinny(thin cut) fries, In N Out's skin on fries, and Five Guys' skin on fries, are WAY better. All in all, it's good food when you're drunk or out of other burger options, hence why they are in several Station casinos in Vegas. read more

Two weeks ago, the burger I had was mediocre. The entire burger tasted odd, from the burger, soggy lettuce and bread. I gave the benefit of the doubt and considered it an off day. Went back last week and it was even worse. Burger was not cooked thru (pink interior) and again, taste was odd. Burger came out fast - was it precooked and reheated??? Either way, I got severe food poisoning from it. It's understandable why prices jumped but there's no excuse for downhill quality. No more Fatburger for me. I completed a takeout order via grubhub and it made it quick and easy. I submitted my order while I was checking out at the Costco that was in the area. The only down side is they didn't have an option for sweet potato fries on the app menu. By the time I arrived I saw my order ready in the corner. It took someone a while to get to me since they only had a total of 3 people running the place. One person cooking burgers, another one putting the burgers together and the other on fries. I would have ordered the sweet potato fries when I got there but it seemed like the wait would be long with the lack of staff. This place has sure changed over the years. I was once a regular Fat Burger customer. After today, I likely won't come back. There was one person working the whole place, taking orders, making the food and then delivering the food to the customers. There were two other employees who were sitting in a both in the far corner presumably on their break or lunch as they were both eating. One of the ladies was making her own lunch (tacos) on the grill where the burgers were cooking. That same lady kept coming up to help customer while still chewing her food and not washing her hands. That's particularly disgusting since she was eating with her hands (tacos). The food was just okay. No condiments other than ketchup. No salt or pepper available. The place was dirty. I had to search for a clean table. Not surprising since only one employee was actually working. One of the employees who was on break was watching videos on her phone with the volume up so loud you could it over the noisy casino. Nobody wants to hear that. Dot bother. Horrible customer service. If there was a negative star that's what I would give it. My husband and I decided it them a try and as my husband was parking I went in to use the restroom. I was told by a male cashier I could not use the restroom until after I purchased something. I told him I would but needed to use the restroom first but he refused to let me use it. The dinning room was completely empty and he didn't care to lose our business on the count of not letting me use the restroom first. We eat at the Fatburger's in the sunset station hotel today. It was around lunch time noon, Jose was the only person running the whole place by himself. He was taken orders and cooking all of them. I don't leave reviews often unless I think something needs to be known. I watched him preform great customer service the whole time. He did such an amazing job under pressure. Such a great job. Their ingredients are of a higher quality than most quick service burger joints, they have Coke Zero on tap at their all you can drink soda fountain, they are open 24 hours and I like my meat well done. It's a win-win situation for me. This location is inside the Sunset Station casino, making it a great place for a late night snack or a quick dinner before catching a movie. The prices are higher than other spots (it's in a casino with a captive audience, people!) but I think the value is still there. What other burger places do you know that have Grey Poupon mustard, swiss cheese, chili, fried egg and relish as toppings? You'll pay extra for the premium add-ons but it's worth it (bonus tip: order a side BOWL of chili for a few extra bucks; you'll get 10 times the amount you'd get if you just order a scoop on top of your burger). I am always looking for new vegan / vegetarian things to try so I made my way over to Fatburger. I browsed the menu but I didn't see the burger listed, so I asked if they had it, which they did. We ordered two impossible burgers, one order of onion rings, one order of fat fries, and one drink. The total was $45.00. I thought I heard the cashier wrong, it was rather noisy, dinner for two at Fatburger can't be that much? I gave him my card and got my receipt. Confirmed, the total was 45.00! The impossible burger was 15.00 each!! The food came out soon after ordering. Moment of truth, to try this hyped up, $15.00, Impossible Burger. The Impossible Burger was amazing. Being completely honest, this was the closest thing to real meat that I have tried. The texture and flavor was just like a burger. Topped with lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard, relish and everything else, it passed as the real thing. I was super excited that the Impossible Burger was amazing. I have tried so many vegan or vegetarian dishes at different restaurants and have been disappointed at times. Visited fat burger on Christmas day. I have visited other fat burgers because the burgers are juicy. These burgers were dry and so was the buns to the point they fell apart. The onion rings have no flavor, taste like flour. The steak fries were good and the milkshakes are awesome. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Upon ordering our food, another patron was horrified at paying for a regular fat burger and getting a burger the same size as the baby fat she also ordered. The cashier agreed they were the same size and the cook disagreed. It turned into a yelling match between patron and cook. Wow what a horrific sight to see. So I ordered a fatburger with fries. The server asked what kind of cheese I wanted and I said cheddar. When she rang it up my jaw just dropped...$24 for two fast food meals? The night shift is terrible!!! When we walked in, there were only 2 customers ahead of us. We ordered one burger with sweet potato fries, chicken nuggets with fries and a side of sweet potato fries. I might even like it better than that other burger joint. Yeah, you know the one. Their selection is the best for a fast food restaurant - regular burgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers and chicken sandwiches all make an appearance on the menu. I guess extremely outrageous prices come with eating in a casino, but this place is just flat out ridiculous. It's fast food for Christ sake, not a pass to the holy grail.
