We discovered Black Bear in Woodland Hills. We are on a quest to visit everyone. Black Bear does not disappoint. The service is always the same excellent! The food is always fresh and delicious. The ambiance with all the bears is wonderful. So much Bear merch in the store. Another excellent service is they can prepare the eggs POACHED! I love that because other restaurants can't do it. Just love the vibe at BBD. Give this place a try you won't be disappointed.

The inside was really cute. I really liked the decor and the cute stuffed bears they have for sale in the front. The service was great; our waitress came over often to check in. I came to use my birthday coupon (it just sucks that I am only able to get the Bear's Choice breakfast, as opposed to the value of it taken off my receipt). I got the mimosa and it was good. I was hoping to order their tropical mimosa however they were out of the ingredients for it, which was a little disappointing. I ordered the Bear's Choice breakfast and enjoyed the steak. The food was good, but am unsure about the pricing.

The steak, it looks ok in this pic but in person totally modified totally

Stars are getting smaller,ok this time I pick up and man oh man I tell you they got some work to do, when I first started co.ing there about 7yrs ago it was superb which made me want to frequent but lately I dont know, service is just not as it was it's less appealing to me now and that's very unfortunate because I love the hotcakes but if I can't get the satisfaction of getting them well....and i found some kind of paper shavings in my to go platter that is a deal breaker for me as I will miss the cake, im gonna have to pass now im just appalling, and maybe send the cooks to school to make an proper egg, which is very hard...I only have come across 1 person in my lifetime beside my Grandfather, that can actually make an egg the way you like it, and I've been eating in diners around the country since I was 5 so I know an egg, cake, and steak

This specific location for whatever reason was slammed when I visited. I tried to call in ahead of time 4 to 5 times and there was no answer and I didn't want to order on the app since I had a reward to use up. It was a little inconvenient, but the food came out quick after I ordered at the front. I always get the bear's choice with a sweet cream waffle, bacon, and egg white scramble. Portion sizes are pretty generous for how much you pay and the quality is fairly good. It's definitely gives an old diner/breakfast feel and most popular during the weekends.

I went here at the suggestion of my Dad, he always talks about the food and how good it is so I decided to stop by on my recent trip to Las Vegas. This location was 5 minutes away from the field my son had his baseball tournament at. First off, we went at around 10am and the wait was around 30 minutes. There isn't much seating inside and it was crowded so I decided to wait outside. When we got seated I looked at menu and nothing really stood out to me so I just got a waffle with strawberries and an iced coffee. The waffle was good but nothing special. I guess with the way my Dad was hyping this place up I was expecting more. The servers were friendly and the prices were reasonable.

Great food! Value and good tasting. Good service! Prompt seating and quick service. Rustic decoration and ambiance! Comfortable chairs and nice layout of floor space.

Glad I gave this place a second chance...in the past wasn't a fan. Came in for breakfast and got seated right away. This time service was great & their sweet cream pancakes were very good..and their coffee too. Glad I came back...much better than before

Food is good. Pretty basic for most things. The breakfast potatoes and desserts are good. Burgers are good but you can find better burgers. Desserts are good. I like the Banana cream pie. The workers are always friendly.

If you know you know! This is a staple breakfast spot for locals and I always find myself back here at least a few times a year. The portions are absolutely massive while not skipping any steps in quality. The must try's are the sweet cream pancakes which are dusted in powdered sugar and are a meal within themselves. Next would be the country fried steak and eggs which is pounded paper thin for an ultra crispy exterior that will leave you wanting seconds. The wait staff are incredibly nice and speedy. This place gives off the down home country vibe without leaving the city.

Been to this location a few times and I've never been disappointed. Went in today and tried the bread pudding French toast and WOW, get it! The stuffed French toast is also super good! Scrambled eggs aren't my favorite, but the hash browns are unique and good! Never had a long wait here, I feel like it's a pretty large location. Looks like all the other locations and I love the homey true to the name diner vibe. Ps. Apparently they also have mimosas now!

Weekend breakfast with my parents. We haven't visited BBD in a hot minute and it was early enough that the breakfast crowd was just waking up. When we entered we were seated right away in a booth next to a window, which was great. Our server Judith came over to introduce herself and take our drink orders, hot coffee, iced tea and POG (passion fruit, orange, guava) juice. She gave a few minutes to look over the menu, while doing so it seems the breakfast crowds were massing at the front. When Judith came back with our drinks we placed our food order, open face turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes & gravy for mom, Lite Bites ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and wheat toast for dad, pot roast melt sandwich with fries for me and a short stack of sweet cream pancakes to share, we also ordered 1 biscuit warmed with butter, and side of gravy for the turkey meal. About 10ish minutes later maybe longer, hard to tell with all the bustle of patrons and servers moving, our food arrived, hot and ready to eat. Open face turkey: 8/10 Mom suggests butter and toast the bread before plating, that would've given it an extra touch and she might've eaten more of the bread. Side gravy was warm not hot but still edible. Ham and cheese omelet: 8/10 Ham cubes were on top of a cheese omelet, it was expected the ham to be inside, but good flavor none the less, hash browns were good just a little burnt and toast was toast, lol Sweet cream pancakes: 9/10 Scoring is a personal preference the top cake was a little crispy for my liking but cut that away and it was cooked to perfection on the inside and taste on point . Everything my taste buds were looking for... Pot roast melt: 10/10 Highly recommend, the amount of meat, onion and cheese perfect in every bite. It also comes with au jus for dipping. French fries cooked perfectly, lightly salted. I only at half so I could bring home the rest for later. Judith did also bring us an extra biscuit because it was placed with our order, when we told her we only ordered 1 she said it was okay that we have it. Biscuits were 10/10 freshly baked and warmed. On the roster of places to revisit.

Refills super fast !! Thank u

We had a lovely breakfast! The staff was super friendly from the second we walked in. Our server Monica is an absolute gem! So friendly so efficient and so helpful! The store looked clean and food came out timely and was tasty! Thank you all for always being perfect

I visited Black Bear Diner with family the day before Father's Day and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience with the food. My brother's pancakes were raw inside (see photo). My father's food came out COLD-he is the whole reason we all went out and I was devastated that he was not happy with his very basic breakfast. The meatloaf had shredded carrots in it, which gave it a strange texture and taste...it just wasn't what anyone expected. The chicken and waffles were tough and just a few chicken tenders thrown on top of a big waffle. Overall, the food just wasn't up to par. That said, our waitress was incredibly sweet and attentive, and we knew the issues weren't her fault. The manager tried to be understanding and gave us a discount on the bill. I've had better visits in the past, so hopefully this was just an off day. Unfortunately, we left disappointed and the family will not return.

I got to Cactus buffet but the wait was over 40min and its 1:00pm and the ride from Summerlin was very hot one and I haven't eaten yet. So I decided next time and I rode back to this spot. Ok first glance a bit empty for Sunday and I did wait a bit for hostess. So I sat down the place is clean and nicely decorated. The menu Mexican American didn't really see anything special. So I landed on two plates and let Bridget waitress pick. I was between Asada and eggs and Chorizo omelet she said you must try the chorizo omelet because the chorizo is in house made...ok something special I didn't notice or know hint hint to owners you might highlight this. Yes one if the best chorizo omelet and im not an omelet lover actually a scramble suits me better but WOW the taste of everything went so well...this where me and Bridget got into it...not really I did love the orange sauce it came and yes I do like green better over red sauce but this orange sauce went soooooooooo welllllllll. Lol. The pancakes OMG the Cajeta and lechera pancakes were a perfect ending and.....AND capitalize it AND great prices. Under this dumb ass economy I proudly didn't vote for anyways not political review. Ok the only bad thing...tortillas!!!! It should come with it its very inexpensive item but I would ask customers would you like tortillas with it. An upgrade would be hechas a la mano that I wouldn't mind paying for extra but you guys got them use them. It is far ride from Summerlin but good to know this place near airport if I land in the morning and want a great bite to eat. Another hint hint...come up to Summerlin at the moment many Mexican American breakfast restaurants popping up Casa de Desayuno and Ellies come to mind...be the first to get the best place to live in Las Vegas

It's on Sunset in the same plaza as Todd's Unique Dining. They have a video poker bar from the old business but it looked pretty dead [EDIT: I did overlook the alcohol options on the menu] The main dining room seems like a Mexican-style rustic diner, but the music is American oldies. The Chorizo omelet ($15.99) sounded interesting, and it really was a great option. Tender egg, finely ground sausage with warming spices, onions, mild peppers, creme fraiche, a mild salsa on the side, and an optional (for me anyway) not-as-mild roasted chili were a great combo. They offer one side with that omelet, and I chose two pancakes. I went for the Mexican Cajeta Pancakes (+$1.99), which were fluffy enough but not the absolute best. I did enjoy them with the dulce de leche and condensed milk combo more than the side syrup. I also asked the server for an agua fresca recommendation and went with it. The Jamaica ($3.49) wouldn't have been my choice, but the mildly sweet concoction worked great in between bites of chorizo omelet and also stayed sweet enough between pancake bites while revealing more of the tart hibiscus notes. Huevos Avenue is a very good overall restaurant that deserves much more business than I witnessed today, especially considering that Henderson still does not have as many great spots as it should. Check them out for Mexican breakfast if you find yourself in the area.

The Portuguese Sausage and Egg was my JAM. I ate it all. Usually, I often end up having leftovers but NOT TODAY. I even forgot to take a photo of my meal because it looked so good. Ambiance was great, nice chill spot - I loved it. It was simplicity at its best. Service was SUPERB. Very attentive young man - not too bothersome and provided perfect to start our day. Just before we sat down, a table of ten was sat and ordered, which I presume slowed down the entire kitchen. Anyhow, we order and our food eventually comes out, and both of our plates had burned food on them. Her sausage was burned, while my sliders were black. We sent both plates back, and were told they would be remade. Her plate comes back, and it is fine. Mine comes back, and there is next to no food on the rolls for the sliders. I tell the waitress at this point I'm no longer interested in breakfast, just take the plate back and I'll eat something else later. Five or so minutes later, the head waitress or manager comes over and shows me the receipt, explaining that she would not charge us for the breakfast I ordered because of the problems (and because I didn't eat it) and showing us the removed charge that she circled. I thanked her, and then paid for breakfast using the QR code on the receipt. Big mistake. I get the emailed receipt on Friday evening - and why it took all day to get it I don't understand - and the charge was not removed. This means I paid the restaurant for food the kitchen messed up twice that I didn't even eat! I paid for food that was burned and then non-existent. What the hell? I'm not even sure what to say about this. I don't want to dispute the charge with the credit card company because my wife ate her food and we both drank our coffee. But it is absolutely wrong and ethically horrible that I got charged for food I didn't eat. I sent an email to Babystacks on Friday asking for them to reverse the cost of my sliders, applying the amount back to the credit card I used to pay for breakfast. It is the only right solution to what has been a terrible all-around experience with the eatery. And here we are, three days later, and they haven't even bothered to respond. At all. We went to the old location all the time, and it took them a few months to move and open. And now I will NEVER go back. I paid for food that was messed up twice and that I didn't eat, and when I reached out to them to ask about it, I got nothing but silence. It isn't about the $15. It's about being completely inconsiderate and your head waitress lying to me. Never again.

Pink Duck Kitchen is a local Filipino-American fusion brunch restaurant that has maintained solid Yelp ratings and recently garnered a spot on the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Top 100 restaurants of 2025. Seeing as how it's the last Henderson spot which I hadn't tried, I decided to rectify that oversight today. I was thinking breakfast at first, but the Lamb Sandwich ($17.99) caught my eye. After clarifying the form of protein with the server, I said yes to this offering. I'm glad I did because it's a stunner. To start with, the bun is nice and soft. The pulled lamb is so tender and surprisingly free from gamy flavor, and whatever it's braised in does so much work making it irresistibly tasty. Then the tzatziki creaminess, tomato umaminess, and even the banana pepper tanginess really round out the flavors. Even the cucumber slices are perfectly portioned to add some crispiness and flavor. Fries come with the sandwich. I was hesitant since they were thick and also very brown. Fortunately, they were soft and fluffy inside, and there was enough crisp from the potato skins. They were actually a little undersalted too, but when I finally flagged down the server for some ketchup, I unlocked the code. The fries are just about perfect with a healthy amount of that Heinz goodness. I did get a bite of breakfast though. My friend's Ube Pancakes ($14.99) were cited as a dish to try on that top 100 list, and I can see why. There's plenty of ube flavor, and a good balance of a lightly crispy exterior and soft interior. The fresh mango and berries were a great touch, as was the whipped cream on the side. I'll have to have a full dish for myself one day. It wasn't as packed when we arrived as I was anticipating; I guess Sunday brunch invites a late-morning crowd though, since it started filling up. Music was top 40 stuff and not too loud. Really my only issue was the water not being ice cold. I've gotta come back to Pink Duck Kitchen since they have such a fun variety on their menu and they're one of the closest interesting restaurants to my side of town. If you live across town, it's actually drive-worthy for that lambwich alone.

Visited on a Saturday at brunch time, party of 4, eager to try out this Filipino-American fusion…read morespot. We arrived at 11am, and while the vibe inside was lively and the decor was really cool (modern with Pink Duck vibes), we hit a bit of a snag right away. Despite seeing several empty tables, we were told there'd be about a 15-minute wait. Honestly, that was a little frustrating, especially when you're hungry and can clearly see open spots. We almost considered trying somewhere else, but decided to stick it out. And I'm so glad we did, because from the moment we were seated, the service was absolutely stellar! Our server, gave us great recommendations and made sure our drinks were always full. The rest of the staff we interacted with were equally friendly and efficient, they really turned the initial annoyance around. The fusion dishes here aren't just creative for creativity's sake; they're genuinely well-executed and thoughtfully balanced. $15.99 Fried Chicken & Ube Waffle - This was my dish, loved it. $16.99 Banana Nut Bread French Toast with Carmelized "Banana Cue" We went family style on this and I would order again. $16.99 Pork Belly Burger $15.99 Breakfast Burrito Everything felt fresh, vibrant, and celebrated both Filipino and American culinary traditions without either overpowering the other. The creativity in combining these flavors was executed well. I'd definitely visit Pink Duck again to sample more interesting dishes I saw on the menu. Mabuhay!
