What happened to the Fatburger that I used to crave and drive out of my way to an Indian casino, solely to eat their famous burger and fries?!!! I'll tell you what happened...it's not good anymore! Two combos (large w/cheese and a turkey burger w/cheese) set us back $25. I would rather have taken my chances and stuck that $25 into a slot machine and not eaten at Fatburger. Even if I had lost, I would still have still come out a winner by not wasting my money or valuable stomach space on a flavorless burger and fries. The fat fries were fine, except they were obviously bagged super hot without adding salt. I watch my sodium intake to a certain degree but fries need to be salted right out of the fryer! The bun tasted dry and stale, and that's pretty much all that I tasted. Couldn't taste the cheese or any of the condiments, and, what about the damn beef patty? A 24 hour burger joint in a casino. That should say it all, but for the sake of fairness I'll elaborate. This Fatburger gives you a compromised version of what has made the chain famous and all while enjoying the colorful characters and activity from the nearby slot machines. I'm not ashamed to say I've been to a lot of Fatburgers, so my assessment of this one is relative. The burgers are hit or miss depending on the time of day, length of the line and attitude of the employees. It's clear that the late night eating crowd is one of the most obnoxious, with plenty of hungry, impatient drunks looking for something they can inhale before returning to the tables to burn through their pocketbooks. But as the somewhat sober person in line, it doesn't help to be treated like just another part of the riff raff, especially if I go out of my way to be polite. On my last visit my burger was a sloppy mess and the fries cold. I pulled up a seat at the random scattering of tables and sucked it down with friends while watching a nearby drunk couple fight with each other. This locations biggest advantage is being one of the only places open to eat at anytime of day. For that reason I'm thankful. I am so appalled by the service here. If I could give negative three stars, I would. Came late, around midnight on a Saturday night to hang out with friends. The casino was packed, and it seemed like FatBurger was a little busy. I mean, no big deal right? They're probably used to this madhouse. That's what I thought. The line was about 5-6 people, and it took about 10 minutes just to get our order in. I ordered a regular FatBurger, medium size with no pickles. My friend behind me ordered a FatBurger Meal. I kid you not, we waited for at least 35-40 minutes for our food. How in the WORLD does it take that long to make two burgers?!?? First of all, if they are known to be busy on Saturdays hire some more damn workers. Secondly, I was expecting a pretty damn good burger for that long of a wait. And we eventually got our food, but here's the CATCH - we all started to get extremely impatient, so my friend went up to the front near the bar where they were yelling out orders. Apparently both of our orders were ready and sitting on the counter. My friend asked the lady if it was his, cause we have been waiting for over 30 minutes and you know what the lady said?!?? She said, "hold on." Hold on? All she had to do was simply give the bag of food to him. And she said HOLD ON and we had to wait another five minutes for her to HAND us our food. So ridiculous. I was LIVID. And I still am. I am appalled by the service. WARNING do not come here on a Friday or Sat night unless you want to wait 30-45 minutes. Or even more. It was ridiculous. Never again. Didn't live up to other locations. Came here on a Saturday and the line went all of the way to the casino floor. They only had one cashier working at the time and about four other employees manning the fries and hamburgers. The shift leader/supervisor was stocking the freezer with fries. Honestly the leader/ supervisor should have jumped on the second register to help get the line down. They lost a lot of business because some of the patrons left and went over to Panda Express and subway. After standing in line for ten minutes we were finally able to place our orders. My friend ordered the original fat burger with no relish. The cashier then ask if we wanted pickles instead. Idk, personally I thought pickles and relish are in the same family. But I guess they aren't, whatevs. I placed my order and asked for well done. The cashier got snotty and said that all of the burgers are well done. The people that were working there gave probably the worst customer service i've experience in a long time, my favorite part was that the place where the 2 ketchup dispensers was nasty.. but they were also empty, and when asked to gt them refilled the guy said "sure I'll do that right now!" I don't know where in the world never = right now.. but apparently it was this guy (no i don't mean that he filled it 5 mins later, i mean it NEVER got filled and instead we were thrown ketchup packets) On top of that the burgers were undercooked AND unseasoned, and whatever my gf bit into made her sick later. HAPPY 100TH REVIEW TO ME!!! Now that is out of my system...... I love me some Fat Burger. Located conveniently in Thunder Valley casino, this burger palace calls my name anytime I want to gamble. In fact, sometimes I go to gamble JUST so i can have a Fat burger. The burgers come in sizes small to x-large and you can put pretty much anything on them. I always get mine with grilled onions, lettuce and cheese. It is really the fries that I crave here though. You pick between skinny fries or fat, and of course, the fat fries are my poison of choice. They are thick steak cut fries and are DELICIOUS! I've also tried the chili cheese fries which were decent. The right amount of chili and cheese (onions by request). My only real complaint about this place is that the line is always really long and sometimes the wait is as well. They have two registers, but only one seems to be open. Last year, after we had all made the mistake of having the buffet lunch at Thunder Valley, we had spotted Fatburger in the food court and bitterly regretted not eating there instead. This year, I was determined to have a fatburger before I left. I decided to get the Fat Deal- a 1/3 lb. burger, fat fries, and a medium drink. The burger came with everything I liked- mayo, mustard, onion, pickles, lettuce, and tomato. The beef patty was pretty juicy and cooked just right at medium. Make sure that you get the fat fries, which are essentially steak fries- very crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. Overall, Fatburger delivered. I'm glad that I made everyone wait for me while I got my burger and fries because the meal was worth it. Where do I even start? I only came here for a pre-concert meal because my family didn't arrive early enough at Thunder Valley to go to the buffet. Thought this would be the best choice to get at the food court but it turned out to be sub par, in my opinion. Pros: 1) Service time was fast. 2) They have a good variety on their menu: they have sweet potato fries & you have the option of getting egg on your burger (two things I love!) 3) You can get different sized burgers (Original, Large, XL, XXL) 4) The size of an individual fry is HUGE! Cons: (from my experience obviously) 1) First thing I noticed was that it seemed like my egg was partially uncooked. A bit of the egg white was still clear & gooey. First no-no, considering I really like eggs in my burgers & I was excited to get one today. 2) The sweet potato fries were kind of burnt & salty to the point that I couldn't really taste the sweet potato. What did it taste like? Cardboard. Another disappointment. 3) Got a cookies & cream milkshake & was hoping this would make things better but eh. Only thing it was really good for was washing down the saltiness of the fries. Other than that, nothing special. Tasted a little funny before I mixed the whipped cream in. Small (Baby Phat) Medium (Fatburger) Large (King) XXL XXXL(oh my word) I went for the King and that was one big burger.Kind of pricey,but worth it if you are hungry.What is nice is that after you order you can see them prepare and cook the burger.The fries aren't that bad either,but who cares about those you must try the burger and that good lemonade they have. (Note: I didn't eat all the burger either) A little downside is that if you want extras that does cost you a bit and a bonus is that if you are not into a burger they have different choices between: Turkey,Chicken and Veggie Burgers I believe. Very tasty burger and fries! I was at Thunder Valley over the weekend with the family and my sister insisted on trying this place. She got the Fat Deal, which came with a 1/3 lb burger, fries, and a drink. The total came out to just under $10. The burger was fresh off the grill and very juicy. It included mustard, relish, onions, pickles, tomato, lettuce, and mayo. Minus all the ingredients I don't care for, the burger was excellent! No cheese though - they charge extra for it! The fries were the perfect texture - very crispy on the outside and super hot and soft inside. We scarffed down the entire meal pretty quickly (4 of us shared it since this was just a "snack:"). Fat Burger is definitely a must try when you visit Thunder Valley Casino. I usually just get the small burger and add in cheese and an egg. The Burger is so much tastier with the egg in it. I have to say Fat Burger is one of my favorite restaurant to enjoy a tasty juicy burger. The lines are usually really long on the weekends and the wait time is even longer but it's worth it because they cook your burger right on the spot. The Vanilla milk shake here is also pretty good. Service was slow to get your order taken but the service was friendly. I ordered the XXL with cheese and bacon, a S cheeseburger and fries. Food took at least 30 minutes and there's no real waiting place to chill while you wait. It's safe to assume that they were pretty overwhelmed. After we saw the size of the S, we went back and ordered a M for the GF. Who would have thought small really meant slider?! it was pretty disappointing to say the least. The food was pretty much tasteless, so I drowned it in ketchup. The fries were good and hot. We got skinny fries. Afterwards, I felt full but that was because I had eaten half a cow and a field of potatoes. The food in general left that unsatisfied feeling. I like my meat between some good buns, and Fatburger does it right. The wait was long, but it was worth it. I got the small, vanilla shake an onion rings. I don't know where you people get your sliders from, but the small isn't the size of a slider, maybe that's why we have an obesity problem, but that's beside the point. The small was the perfect size for me. The vanilla shake was good and the onion rings were addicting. The burger itself was perfect, juicy and just the right amount of onions and condiments. The kid who was managing gets extra kudos from me. There was a drunk idiot in line who was talking a lot of crap to my friends, then after he ordered he sat at the counter with his friends, and complained to the manager that he was charged wrong and tried to get free chili cheese fries. The burgers are alright, but I like the Sausage and Egg Burger (can you say heart disease?). The skinny fries are the BEST - crispy, piping hot, and salted enough. As with all fast food, it's greasy and unhealthy, but sure hits the spot at times. Knocking one star off because it is overpriced. You can easily spend $10 for a combo meal. Boo! Loved the taste of the burgers! I think the burgers here are healthy because the taste is blander compared to McD's, BK or even In N Out, which means they dont over salt their food. That means you have the option to add your own salt, ketchup, mayo or whatever your mouth waters for. OPTIONS! That is the key element for healthy fast food eating. Fries - hella good! Again, you can add your own salt/ingredients. They are crispy and I love the skinny fries the best! Strawberry and Oreo milkshake are very filling and good! It took a few minutes for my food to be ready and when it was, my tray was overflowing with hot, crispy fries, way awesome! The burger looked totally good, all nice and wrapped. Hint: Keep your meat wrapped. :) Burger...I mean, burger! It'll spare you from the mess. lol! :) The burger tasted pretty good. It wasn't the best burger I've ever had but, totally satisfactory. I finally ate Fatburgers today. I honestly think I've tried it before in Reno, but if I don't remember it...then that means nothing really stood out for me. I had it again today at Thunder Valley with my boyfriend. We both ordered the 2.5 oz burger with cheese in a meal. Mine with skinny fries, his with onion rings. When we got out order, I didn't realize how small the 2.5 oz burgers were. Their small skinny fries portion was pretty big. The onion rings weren't too big of a portion. Maybe I was hungry so I was eating with my eyes, but once I actually did start eating, the 2.5 oz burger was more than enough for me. The meat wasn't too dry (like carls jr and Burger King) and the fries were fresh and yummy! However, the onion rings were a little bland. The Large or Kingburger + Bacon+ Cheese, small side Skinny Fries and Chocolate shake were all good. The small "Skinny Fries" order was huge, enough for two people. Picking toppings out of the bun would make things real messy. Make sure you know what you are getting on the burger as its nice to eat these in their wrapper. Burgers come w/ everything and I mean EVERYTHING. Lettuce, Tomato slices, sliced Pickles, diced Onions, Mayo, Rellish, Mustard. Bacon - good quality and cooked well, got some in almost every bite. The hamburgers and fries are super good. It's a bit pricey ( I feel ) but I am never disappointed so I can justify spending that for fast food. They make everything to order so it takes a while, be patient. Being located in a casino is why I always hesitated to go, not a fan of smoke, but so far it hasn't been a problem. I'm impressed with Fatburger. I read some of the more negative reviews on this location but I tried it for myself and thought that it's a lot better than Five Guys. Five Guys isn't as good as a lot says it is.. i had a cheeseburger and skinny fries. I thought later that I should've had the steak fries.. the skinny fries were just OK. I guess I could have had better fries at fast foods but whatever it was still OK. I thought kind of tasteless but OK. The burger was delicious. I mean not the best but good. Like I said, better than Five Guys. Had relish on the burger, the patty was tastier than some of the burger joints in it's class. You know like Five Guys OK and the prices are OK. Not overpriced. We always come to thunder valley. Some days the cashiers are on it. They'll multi task and take our order and get our drink right after. But this lady had her mask underneath her nose and we had to come back up for our drink. I approached the wall because 4 orders came out before us. I noticed the ticket times behind HECTOR, for our order was over 20minutes, 21:35 seconds to be exact, and when asked, is our order ready, he said your order is working. But it didn't make sense, because 4 orders came out before us, and I know battered fried chicken don't take 20 minutes to fry (coming from a person who's a restaurant manager who's opened up 4+ stores in Northern California). I ordered a chili dog with that order, which only should take a minute. The cheese was COLD and did NOT melt. And Instead of sincerely apologizing, he asked me if I wanted a refund rudely and chose to argued with me. He smirked under his mask, which was obvious. And I said no, I want my order.
