Stay away from this location. We decided to have a nice date night out, and wanted to test out our new bowling balls. Little did we know that we were placed on a broken lane. Within ten minutes of bowling, one of our brand new balls got stuck behind the lane. After waiting for help for 15 minutes (of our hour time limit), our ball was finally freed. When it was returned, it was completely damaged due to the negligence of this understaffed location. When we pointed this out to the manager, he refused to do anything meaningful about it. Great facility. Fun bowling lanes, nice arcade and "glow" golf. The theater had the most comfortable reclining seats and the price was reasonable--$5 for a matinee. You can reserve seats in advance. I accidentally ordered tickets at this location instead of the Gilbert one. Showed up to Gilbert and realized it was wrong when the screen was black. I called mesa 5 minutes after the movie started at mesa to get a refund and they told me I could refund them online. So I went online to refund them but it wouldn't refund since the movie already started. Called them again and they wouldn't give us a refund over the phone since the movie already started. Mesa is over 30 minutes away and with gas being as much as it is I wasn't about to drive way out there. So stupid. Staff wasn't very nice. Manager not helpful at all. Love the fact this place is a mile from my house! Movie theater is a 10+. Concession was great, not expensive. Movie theater seats were amazing and offer a table at each seat. Big screen, great sound. My only recommendation to everyone.... Do not come here to eat dinner. They have a grill and bar, bar is great for drinks, the food is a solid D. It's 100% snack bar quality from your 80s bowling alley.. If you're looking for a quick snack, it will do the job, otherwise, I'd stay clear. Great atmosphere and really fun place to go. I would have given five stars, as the staff on my first two visits were simply amazing. My three star rating is due to management's failure to incorporate the pogo pass as promised. We were told Mesa would start accepting the pass on January 1 of this year. We planned a new year event and management reneged causing our entire family to wait for 45 minutes for lanes and then refusing to accept the passes. Not a great management practice. Great staff, but corporate should speak with whoever caused this delay and miscommunication. read more

Normally we love fat cats. But Management please give Cooper some customer service training. Not sure if he has a grudge against children or women (I saw him at least smile while helping out two younger guys) but he was rude to our family several times as we both bowled and did mini golf. He acted bothered to be setting up our games. He walked away from us numerous times while "helping" us and when he forgot to add bumpers to our lane and I asked him to add them, he gave attitude. read more

This is a fun place but I dont recommend the bowling. The oil is poorly applied and makes for an unpredictable bowl. I experienced this myself on multiple trips on multiple lanes and saw others having the same experience. Not for serious bowlers. read more

Nice facility... went there for a corporate party Friday night. Bowling, games,... etc. Only complaint was bartender. Our hostesses was busy so I went to bar to order some drink... bartender was a complete jerk!!! Went to bring my family for my sons 9th birthday. So much fun for all. The kids had so much fun playing the wide variety of games they offer, and mini golf. While my husband and I got to enjoy the game and beverages. Everyone enjoyed the food, the fries are by far the best fries I ever had. Best of all was the service. Nikki and her staff was so pleasant and helpful. She always stopped by and assured everyone was enjoying themselves. I was so impressed I joined the annual gold club. My first visit to Fat Cats Mesa was New Years Eve and that was my last visit to this location!!! I have never been to Fat Cats, walking in I was amazed at the size of the place, it was clean and seemed like it was happening that night. Being a newbie, I did want to inquire more about what they offer. There was a sign that said Events, I figured being events they would be able to give me information about Fat Cats. I walk in the office, there are two ladies one a white older lady and a younger latina lady. The older lady looks at me dismisses me standing there and looks down, the latina lady acknowledged me ,said hi and how can she help me. I explained to her it was my first time and would like to know more about what Fat Cats is and has. She stood up, offered to take me and show me around and give me more information she explained an event for New Year's Eve was taking place at the time and did explain other things that they offer thank you to her. Meanwhile the whole time I was in there the older white lady just sat there! Me, as an African American female was floored on how the older lady did not acknowledge me, her customer service, how she made me feel when I left that office!!!! I felt leaving that due to my "color"she did not want to help me! Had I been the same as her, maybe she would have helped me!! The way she has treated me, I do believe she is racist towards others that are not of her own!!! I do wish I had gotten both their names. For a company that thrives off of customers, but yet has someone who treats their customers this way!! It was discrimination due to my color!! I did give Fat Cats another chance and went to the location in Gilbert. The customer service there amazing! I was not ignored, everyone was pleasant and no one made me feel they did not want to help me due to my color! Zero stars honestly. My worst moviegoing experience to date. Candy everywhere, popcorn all over the theatre, and loud obnoxious teenagers yelling and laughing throughout the movie and taking off clothes. When my friend accidentally spilled some skittles, three workers came and accused of us standing on chairs, and then proceeded to kick out the two of us. Building is brand new, staff are friendly. Me and some friends ordered food, and were given buzzers for when the was ready. We waited at a table very close by and my fries came out pretty quickly. My friends ordered some chicken fingers, fries, and moz sticks. We waited 30 minutes for the food, while people were getting food that ordered after them. Maybe the buzzers don't work? Next we did glow golf, and it was fun but kind of awkward. Very small 9 holes, and the family behind us were constantly waiting for us to finish, and we were waiting for the family ahead of us to finish their hole; it seemed kind of disorganized. First visit to the Mesa location and it seems like a fun place but it's new and they are working out the snags in their service. We had problems with the virtual reality games. Bought a 20 minute block for my daughter but had some other kids move into the games right before her, the attendant said for her to come back in 15-20 minutes with her receipt and she would go next. No problem, she went to play games with her sister in the arcade area. When she returned she was ignored and other kids moved into the games ahead of her for 15-20 minute times. When I walked over the attendant suddenly remembered what he had said and said "oh, was she waiting". I approached the manager on duty and the GM also joined us, I asked "what is your policy for lines at the virtual reality games. They seemed stumped at first and when I explained what happened they said "it should be first come first serve" and that the person should not leave the virtual reality area. So, in a game where you can buy 30 minutes of time, the people behind you should just sit for 15-30 minutes at a time or longer? Hey, this isn't an amusement park and these aren't roller coasters. I'd suggest limiting the time to 10 minutes max, have some clear guidelines on who's next and how the line works for these games. I spent over $130 in a short amount of time for movie tickets, arcade games, food, concessions and virtual reality time and although I believe this will be a fun place it will be a LONG time before I return. read more

My husband and I go here every week now, and we really enjoy the food (that they bring to your seats!) and the "Oh-so-very" comfortable recliners! Our one complaint is their "family friendly environment" was dampened by a very loud employee named "Daicee" who was yelling at another employee (not in uniform) in front of us, (and a family with kids..). Saying "why does she comes there when shes not working?" (and more)... The girl behind the counter looked stunned, and the other (off-duty) was about to cry while we just looked at each other feeling uncomfortable, and waiting for her to finish so we could be helped. I don't know her position, but at my company "teamwork" is encouraged and any employee that likes their job enough to be there "off hours" is a good sign. BTW, this is the second time this girl has done this (last time "poor guy!") so I made sure to notice her name tag. Hopefully a manager will "catch on," and speak to her about "Teamwork," and any reprimands should be done professionally (behind closed doors).
