Re-installed windows and sliding glass door incorrectly installed by previous contractor. Rebuilt pressure treated wood deck with improved layout. Derrick's attention to detail and pride in his work translated to a solution that addressed all of my goals and helped me understand mistakes made by previous contractors. He spent hours reviewing options and brainstorming with me as more damage was uncovered and the scope had to expand as we went. I knew composite was the way to go so I don't have to worry about maintenance. Within an hour we had a plan. I had a hard time narrowing down colors but helped by offering his suggestions. The colors I picked were some newer options Trex released and Derrick said he was excited to see how it turns out. Derrick and Luke came out and when I watched them work I was highly impressed. They worked like machines; measuring and communicating like a good team should. Luke is clearly a highly skilled carpenter. I had an idea for angled steps and even though it's a bit complicated he took on the project and built some really cool stairs that make my deck unique. Their attention to detail really showed and they kept me informed of their progress through an app with daily updates in what was complete. Communication was top notch and thats important to me. Pulse wasn't the cheapest company, but the value was great. You get what you pay for and Im glad that I finally have a beautiful deck to enjoy. I only wish the rest of my house was as nice as it puts the rest of it to shame. If you're looking for a job done right call Pulse.

While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. I also want to note that we live on the 3rd floor of a condo building and many contractors said they could not install and/or needed additional materials, external infrastructure and costs to do the project, but Jacob made it seamless with bringing windows up the stairs, and doing an internal install, which incurred no extra install costs. Here's how they stood out: They had excellent communication. From Angelo's estimate all the way to passing inspection, they were on top of their game. The estimate had every combination of options listed with exactly what they were going to do and photos of the planned work. We were assigned a field supervisor (Justin, I believe?) who would come out on the same day to inspect any issues we brought up. Our contact with the office via Cindy and Anthony was also superb and always timely. The work was done swiftly and well. The roofers were done before I got back from work. Siding and gutters are more involved, but they did excellent there as well and Roman et al. were excellent to work with, took feedback very well (see communication above), and were very hard and efficient workers. All in all, we were done with our project long before other houses in the same subdivision who had all signed up with doorknocker companies, and they delivered a high level of quality. To be clear, their estimate was slightly higher (my gut says 10% higher, but it's been a while since I reviewed the proposals) than some other offers we received, but for the work that we were doing, level of customization, and communication, we wouldn't make a different choice. I'm usually not one to spend time getting a bunch of quotes and just rely on Yelp reviews to make a purchasing decision, but this was pricey enough purchase that i figured I should do my due diligence.' Siding & Windows Group was one of the 4 companies I had come out for a quote. We ended up with them for a few reasons: - Their quote was competitive - They were able to spray paint the interior trim with our existing paint color - They were able to match the exterior trim as closely as possible to our windows outside - Anthony at Siding & Windows Group was very responsive We placed the order on August 22nd, which is my bday. I can't say new doors was what i wanted for my bday, but i guess this is being a homeowner in your 40s. The new doors weren't installed until November 6th and we just hoped for no big storms and got lucky. Anthony checked in a few times on when they'd be installed and pushed it back a few days due to other projects. The actual installation took about a day, which wasn't too bad. A week later they came to spray paint, which honestly seemed like a much bigger project than installing the doors. That took 2 days and went smoothly, although there was a little confusion about them not knowing what color to paint, etc. It turned out beautifully and while the doors look very similar to our old doors I like the look of these even better. The exterior finish isn't a perfect match, but i think a big part of that is our old paint on our windows as faded. One day we'll touch it all up, but for now we're looking forward to a break in paying for anything for the house. I learned there are a lot of companies in the area for new windows/doors, but we were satisfied with this one and would use them again.

I called them and they were able to send Oscar out right away. They told me to save 60 -90 min for the consultation, which seemed like a lot of time considering every other company just needed 5-10 min of my time. However, i was willing to invest the time for the right doors and right price. Oscar and i met for over an hour. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about all my door options. He brought along a presentation (via his ipad), as well as materials so we got it all done within that hour. The other companies took a lot less, but resulted in a few trips to my house and lots of back and forth via email. I honestly probably prefer the latter since less time all at once. In the end I went with a different company due to price, but thought this company offered a good product at competitive pricing so would be worth looking into them.

Father and Sons are horrible, they are unprofessional, they have unlicensed contractors working in your home. They owe all their workers money. I signed a contract 6/26/12 and they are still not done. Please also be aware of the company Brendon Financial HORRIBLE.... Unprofessional you will never be able to speak to a supervisor about your account. And please don't ever be late making a payment to them because they will credit your whole payment to interest applying none to principle even if it's not your fought. They take money from you and use cheap products. They are not upfront about what's included and what's not included. Just don't trust them ad even given them business. It will be the worst mistake you ever made. Forgot to mention as of 6/18/2013 they are still not done with my job and has broken sooooo much stuff while working in my home. SCAMMERS.... He lied ans sent an unlicensed plumber, who also tried to charge more after doing the contracted work..... The guy and his partners are flat out thieves. Legal term is 'financial exploration' . If you are female run run fast.... From Dom cause 5k for 3,400 worth of material wasn't enough. "Hey Amy I need that material overage payment. Amy these projects aren't instant. I waited over 5 months and worked with you to finalize this. Lindsey finished design last week and the building approved a couple days ago. I have been more than accommodating at every single step and now am being questioned 2 days after approval. We still haven't gotten any confirmations on exact material dates and haven't received the material overage payment."

My efforts to have Roofmasters and Masonry complete the work we paid for has been a nightmare…read more I see now why they have gone from 4-5 stars to 3.5. Since we moved into our house, there has been a leak in the roof in our unfinished attic area. Additionally the attic vent fan stopped working. We received a reasonable quote to have the fan replaced and the leak repaired. That was in November 2022 and the work was done in march 2023 for weather safety reasons. They came and did the work in a timely manner. Since that time, the leak has continued. They have returned several times without being able to find and actually fix the leak. Now it is winter 2023 and once again, the leak has returned. Roofmasters returned several times. This time they have narrowed the leak to a lack of pipe flashing. The problem with this? In November 2022, I sent a picture of ice and water to roofmasters calling out the pipe as a possible root cause of the leak. Either it was ignored or they attempted to fix and failed, or they repaired the wrong area. Regardless, I'm easy to work with. Things get missed. But I expect a business to make it right when mistakes are made. I would have been thrilled that they may have actually found the original leak, but now Roofmasters is treating this as if it is a new problem unrelated to the previous work order to fix our leak. Apparently they consider it a new job. ITS THE SAME LEAK! And they have GHOSTED me completely when I asked them to make good on the work we paid for. It's the same leak. Same amount of water, same location. Since November 2022. In fact, we left the buckets in the same place all year by a happy accident which meant it collected most of the water to avoid damaging our ceiling. Moral of the story, expect Roofmasters to need to come back several times to fix leaks and when they finally find the root cause, don't expect them to make good on their promises and stand by the quality of their work. They will probably treat it as an entirely new job/problem. What a scam! I had originally recommended them to many other people. I've been sure to reach out and withdraw my recommendation.

Jack answers all questions to our satisfaction and he didn't rush us to make our decisions. In the office Bob was helpful scheduling the date for our roof replacement and arranging the final payment. On roof replacement day the team arrived when expected and got right to work. They protected our landscape, and before we knew it they were done. The roof looks great! After they left you wouldn't even know they were there. Great job all around! Thank you Nombach for such great service!

The entire month of July, I have been trying to work with the service team to get repairs made to my roof due to all the storms that have happened in the Chicago area. They came out and did an emergency typing for me no problems however I was told that I would have a handheld service to help me navigate the claims process with my insurance company. That was a lie. I have now been calling Nomback Homes the entire month of July and gotten no assistance. I have left multiple messages and gotten no follow up phone call. At this point, I would not recommend anyone doing any business with Nomback Homes since customer follow up does not seem to be a priority.

Having had prior experience with them I knew it would be money well spent. They were accommodating to my schedule and my garden! Clean up and the crew were both top-notch. I love the new roof. So nice to have the added protection of a warranty as well. They even maintained composure when my neighbors daughter confronted them. Professional, courteous and punctual! Call the office, customer rep confirmed that yes we did have an appointment. The worker told her he got held up by another job. But no call? Set up another appointment for following week. He was scheduled to come out between noon and 3:00pm. Guess what? No show, no call. Really bad customer service.
