Found parking fairly easy in the back of the restaurant. Very clean inside, you order at the counter, and sit anywhere you like. It was two other customers in the entire place. This mediterranean spot is more of a casual on the go type of place. The food was okay. I've eaten a lot of Mediterranean food spots and this place just didn't do it for me. The quality of the food was okay, and it just lacked a lot of flavor, it pretty much lacked flavor on all the food. Usually plates come with hummus and they said it an extra charge instead of automatically coming with it. The staff was very pleasant and no complaints with the service. It's not a bad place to go for something quick and fulfilling. I just prefer more taste when it comes to Mediterranean.

Stopped by for a bite on a Saturday evening. When we arrived we were quickly greeted by the employees. They were very kind and welcoming. You order at the counter and then they bring your food out to you. The food was very fresh and you could tell it was made to order. The chicken was moist and very flavorful. The hummus and lebni were creamy and delicious.

Well currently on injured leave from work decided to try this spot I always by going to work near my home. The person took my order was super nice and ask for the special $12.99 w/ drink I see the sign outside when I pass by. Well the food was excellent and the chicken was so tendered. The hummus and rice was perfect with the pita bread. Definitely will come again with my lady or family member. The location is brand new and btw free refills.

This place is a small whole in the wall, but is incredibly pleasant on all levels- pleasant staff and service, the food takes some time, but is reasonable, especially since they are making everything to order, and aren't taking things from the freezer and re-heating it, like some of these places. They sell baklava, which I didn't get to try. I will have to come back to try this, because it looked quite tasty and fresh. Definitely come here, because it's chill, even if people are busy there.

I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and a small order or French fries. The service was great and the food came out within ten minutes. The fries are perfectly crisp and delicious. I ordered this for dine in and the wasteful plastic containers, forks, spoons, and more plastic packaging were all unnecessary.

Great service! Yummy food. Good portion. The food comes in to-go containers; very convenient. The ambiance is quiet and pleasant.

I'm a bit disappointed with this spot. I love Mediterranean food but the items I ordered were lacking a lot of seasoning. I ordered the chicken wrap and something was missing. It could have used a sauce or more flavor to elevate the quality. The plate I ordered was decent. My favorite part was the rice and salad but the beer was not very tender. I was super hungry when I ordered so I still ate it lol. The service was quick about 15 minutes or so. I parked behind the building because fair oaks is often jam packed with traffic during peak hours.

I came away from this meal surprised at how BLAND everything tasted. The chicken in the kebab wrap was cooked well. The veggies tasted fresh. But I couldn't taste a lick of seasoning. I slathered on hummus and tahini...yet still not much lol. I resorted to salting it myself. The most seasoned things here between the wrap and Beef Shwarma was the salad! Some sumac, lemon juice and oil tossed together. Real nice and refreshing! Unfortunately nothing else approached it. And if the side salad was the best thing...that's not great lol. I'm finding that all the food spots in South Pas esp on Fair Oaks are really lacking on flavor. I think it's due to the local community...

Located on busy Fair Oaks in South Pasadena. Parking can be tricky but it's worth it. Discovered Cafe X2O during a Yelp event that started at the Canoe House and was a walking tour of South Pas eats and drink. I've been to Cafe X2O a few times since the event and have had a good experience each time. The staff are friendly and attentive. But they get a little busy. I suggest calling in the order ahead of time for take out. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available if you are dining in. Awesome family meal option for dinner.

Cut their lunch special to 1/2, and if you order extra garlic sauce, accommodate your 1/2 the garlic sauce now Its extras $$ not worth it anymore.

    Vanna T.

They updated their lunch special. It's now $12.99 and comes with a drink. Food and service are still spectacular and delicious, hence why they're one of our frequent lunch spots. Gotta give their chicken shawarma plate a try, it's really tasty and even better than the chicken kabob plate IMO. Always call in advance for your orders or there's a long wait for it. Ample seating inside. Limited parking on the streets and the small shared parking lot.

Instead guy sold me on a chicken kebab wrap, saying the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, like most wraps are, it was dry. The sauce was a bit sour and tasted more like mayonnaise than anything else. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp. The pita was slightly toasted and not chewy at all, which I prefer, but it did tear immediately because how thin it was. All in all, not that impressive. I also ordered a vanilla latte that was not very good. I do realize this place is not a cafe, but I had hoped for better. The rave reviews must be either people aren't familiar with good wraps or their other food is better.

Service was very friendly and generous! They asked if I had ever been before and when I answered no, they gave me a free dessert. You can tell they've been in the neighborhood for a while and have their regulars. Only downside is I wish they gave more rice or pitas for the price. It is $20 for a chicken plate and I understand prices are up for everyone, but with the two plates we ordered totaling over $50, it would be difficult to come here as much as the owners want and deserve.

It was inedible so I had to toss it. I realized it after I got home. The beef kabobs were so thin and small, not worth the price anymore. We heard good things about Sahara and decided to check it out yesterday; and it exceeded expectations. I had the beef kebab plate, while my mom and brother had the chicken kebab plate. We loved how they had complimentary snacks (olives, cheese, and cucumber) and also that the plate came with either soup or salad. The meat dishes were so flavorful and honestly the best we've had at any restaurant. They gave a lot of meat too; 8 pieces each dish. The baba ghanoush was also great. My first impression was how friendly everyone is, both employees and customers. I also noticed the aroma of mesquite smoke, which is a principle difference between their food and many others that use gas grills. The wonderful lady at the counter welcomed me and suggested the split kabob plate with half each beef and chicken. She also gave me the lunch and dinner menus to peruse. I grabbed a table and didn't wait long before my order was ready. Lots of rice pilaf, hummus, and tabouli. Additionally, there was a portion of garlic sauce. The portion of meat was equally impressive. I was still afflicted with recent dental work so I had to eat slowly and carefully. Their food is very crushable if not for that. They also quarter the pita bread which allows easier dipping or making mini wraps. Anyhow, I'm sure I'll be back sooner than later to try the Lula (aka koubideh), lamb, and other unique house specials. The essence of wood smoke is especially good, so that's a high mark. 4.5 overall My only criticisms are the rice could have been warmer, and the sauce more garlicky.
