This place has quickly become my go-to spot when I'm craving some good Japanese food! On Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday my favorite item the Golden Crab Rangoons are on special so that's my one or twice a week little treat myself stop and they're always perfect! The staff are super super suuuper kind, welcoming, helpful, and polite - I literally have never had a single problem in the thirty or more times I've gotten food here. I haven't sat down for a meal but whenever I come in to pick up my to go orders i always see groups of families and friends having a great time watching the chefs show on the Teppanyaki side! One of these days I'll definitely bring my family for a fun dinner out :) Also, their sushi rolls are actually affordable, the fish is fresh, and they never forget my unagi sauce on the side! If you want bad sushi, go here. Otherwise, stay away. The service was terrible. Every time I tried to order something, the waitress would say, "I'll be right back," and then disappear. They also automatically add an 18% gratuity to your bill and still ask for an additional tip. They should explain that gratuity is automatically added, especially given the terrible service we received. Not noted anywhere! Not sure how legal this is.. We specifically told our female waitress that we wanted fried rolls, but she recommended the wrong rolls with raw sushi. Unfortunately, the rolls were awful we couldn't even eat them. Honestly, some of the worst sushi I've ever tasted. The sushi from Sprouts next door is significantly better. Save your money and go to Sprouts or Panda Express next door. Came here on a Saturday night for a birthday dinner and it was packed! Glad we made a reservation even though we still had a wait after we arrived. Once we sat down at our table they came and took our drink and dinner orders. There are tons of options for hibachi with lots of proteins. I went with shrimp and filet mignon. Filet was 6 bucks more than steak and I think it was worth it, tender and delicious. I thought the prices were reasonable for what you get. The show was fun, typical hibachi fare, volcano, fire, flying broccoli. I skipped the sake/water fountain. I really enjoyed the food- the fried rice, soup, steak and shrimp were all great. The shrimp was the best I've ever had at this type of place. The veggies were the only disappointment, definitely undercooked. But I had plenty of food and we took home leftovers. The birthday song with the gong was hysterical and our waiter came out and sang an extra song too. The place is obviously aging and could use a refresh as well as some better ventilation. Ordered sushi rolls and Teppanyaki, there were two of us. The waitress came back to let us know the fish for one of the rolls was frozen and they were microwaving it to make the roll . We were able to be seated immediately (party of 4) and that's because we opted for the regular dining and not the teppanyaki table. All the guests waiting in front were there for the teppanyaki experience and there's only 10 of those tables. The food was good... nothing fancy on our orders: bento box, gyoza, Tofu Teriyaki, and Seafood Ninja roll. Food here is pricey. I think the 2-item bento box was more expensive (imo) than other Japanese restaurants we've dined in. Customer service was great and stands out from our dining experience, friendly and helpful. Debating if maybe one day we will try the teppanyaki table (or not). This place has been one of my favorite spots to stop by in Lincoln. It's a hidden gem offering both sushi and teppanyaki. I usually sit on the sushi side, where you can still order from the teppanyaki menu. My go-to order is the bento box with steak and shrimp teriyaki, along with yellowtail, black pepper tuna, or spicy edamame. If you're open to trying sake, the peach sake is absolutely smooth and delicious. From the fast service to the flavorful and perfectly prepared food, Kobe is a solid 5/5. I've never found another bento box with this quality and quantity of food for just around $30 - such a steal. The steak is always top tier, and the shrimp are big prawns that truly fill you up. We love how you can get seated quickly if sitting in the sushi area. We only do hibachi on special occasions. I think their sushi and hibachi menu is great. The GOOD, MEDIUM and FAILS. GOOD: The five of us came to celebrate a birthday. The place was jammed, yet we got seated pretty quickly (5 minutes) as we made a reservation. It's pretty big and there were green things all over the floor; broccoli bits that people missed catching. The chefs are party savvy and try to toss one in the air as customers catch them in their mouths. I had a 50% catch rate. It's fun! It's amazing how they keep track of everybody's orders and cook it up on the grill-table right in front of you. MEDIUM: The place is a mill. We were barely finishing our main courses and they were hurriedly cleaning up and bringing new setups for next customers. We felt quite rushed. FAILS: 1) As a birthday celebration, as we walked in, I handed a written note to our server, indicating who in our party was having the birthday. They did absolutely nothing. No singing (like they were doing at some other tables), no dessert offering, nothing. 2) They add a huge tip to the receipt without telling you. And then the receipt has a second place asking for an additional tip. Watch out!! I crossed out their desired tip and added my own quite reasonable amount. As we were leaving the building, our server (young Asian female with round glasses) chased after me in the parking lot to argue about the tip and asked for more. That's downright rude. Remember, tips are OPTIONAL (unless pre-posted in writing) and subject to the patron's discretion. BOTTOM LINE: The chef was fun, and the food good. But kinda like "aside from that, Mr. Lincoln, how was the play?" Being chased when outside to beg for more tip put a sour spin on the experience. read more

Came in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised that we came right in and were seated right away. I like that we didn't have to wait for our table to fill up and still got a little show. The portions were all very generous for all the food. I was surprised that they didn't add any onions or veggies or sesame seeds to the fried rice. The food overall had good flavor. Every other teppan place we have been to used to give like 2 or 3 shrimp halves as an appetizer but this one didn't. They never responded- Dear Manager On 9/5/25, I dined at your restaurant and was charged an automatic 18% service fee. This fee was not disclosed on the *menu or by staff before ordering. I was aware of a sign about the fee after I had paid which does not provide adequate notice. Under California consumer protection laws (Bus. & Prof. Code §17200 and related regulations), mandatory charges must be disclosed clearly and prominently before a customer decides to purchase. Posting a sign that is only visible after entering, and drawing attention to it only after service has begun, is not sufficient disclosure and may be considered a deceptive business practice. Accordingly, I am requesting a refund of the service fee that was improperly added to my bill. Please confirm when I can expect to receive this refund. If this matter is not resolved, I may pursue a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs or the local District Attorney's Consumer Protection Unit. I always recommend ordering an extra side of noodles as they are so good! I wouldn't order the chicken. The salmon was okay. The filet minion was sooooo tender! Order it medium rare please!! We all drove separately so we didn't do the alcohol shot they give you in a bottle. But the customers you are with are going to add into the fun for this! We have been coming here for years. Today we decided to stop by this afternoon for a late lunch. It was pretty empty. We were seated in the back away from the rest of the patrons. They sat us in a corner that was infested with flies. We were swatting away flies our whole time there. While we tried to enjoy our meal despite the disgusting flies, I noticed that the staff was watching us the whole time. This made me feel very uncomfortable and for those reasons I left a small tip. Immediately after walking out the door, our waiter chased after us demanding a bigger tip. He acted as if we had stolen or tried to dine & dash. This has never happened to me before. So here's the thing right we moved here from New York to California six months ago and we love hibachi like love, love, love hibachi, and this place was fair. I would highly suggest adding on the noodles because that's what I love and it was a good place. the show was meh, but I will give props where props are due. Ada did an amazing job. Had dinner here last night with 4 friends. We were seated within 15 minutes of our reservation which is good considering how busy the restaurant was. We were greeted by our server, Bill. Bill was friendly upon arrival and took our order. It went south from there. I ordered a California handroll and another person (who happens to be a sommelier) in our party ordered Sake. Bill brought me a regular California roll, not a hand roll. I brought it to his attention and he insisted that what he brought was a hand roll. We went back and forth for a while then he left, leaving the California roll on the table. I flagged down another server who immediately apologized, took the roll away and brought back a California hand roll as ordered. Bill brought out the sake which was also not the one that was ordered. When brought to his attention, he insisted that the sake was opened, therefore, not returnable. Again, the assistance of another server was required to remedy the issue. The cook was OK, but his presentation lacked enthusiasm. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. My daughter wanted to come here to celebrate her birthday. Glad we did because it made me reconsider my rating. You can't beat the dinner and show aspect to a hibachi dinner. Some of the chefs are a better and more experienced than others but they're all pretty good. We had reservations at 6pm and they sat us shortly after the rest of our table arrived. We all had a steak, filet with shrimp, or steak and chicken dish. They brought out the soup, then the green salad with the delicious ginger dressing. Everything was delicious and the show was great.
