Stopped in here while I was running errands to grab something to go. I had never eaten here before and it is very charming inside. The staff were friendly and the food was made quickly. I had their vegetarian burrito and made it vegan by omitting the cheese and sour cream. My boyfriend had a chicken burrito and they both were very good. We plan to come back for dinner ti dine in one day now that we know it's here.

Got food to go. Ordered 2 Al pastor burritos and a cheese quesadilla. He asked if I wanted super. I said yes. Rang up the order and it was $40+ I was kinda confused by how much each item costs. Food was prepared pretty quick. Look inside the bag. No salsa. I shouldn't have to asked for that. Get home. Only got 1 napkin(minor issue) but we ordered 3 items. The burritos were carnitas not Al pastor. It was dry pieces of meat. The quesadilla was $11 for one small tortilla folded in half! Smh! To expensive and food wasn't great. Won't be going back.

This restaurant is nice and clean!! Friendly staff. You order at the counter first then they serve you. They have beers and delicious sangria. When you sit down, they serve you chips and salsa while you wait for your food to arrive. I think I ate 3 chips and then VOILA! Here comes my food! That was fast! The food is good and fresh. I really enjoyed my taco salad in the tortilla bowl. First of all, the shell was crispy and not oily or old. This was the first time I actually ate the entire bowl! Secondly, this is truly a salad. No rice and beans to weigh you down. It was very good! Overall, I would return here when I'm in Vacaville again.

One container for 3 entrées?! The one container wasn't even enough for my burrito. I needed two.

The food is great, but the fight to get salsa with your burrito or taco is no bueno. If u have a burrito or any entrée you should be given a salsa. If u want more sure u can charge me. But gosh darn it why can't a girl get some salsa with her burrito?? And when u ask them for more they get irritated with u. Why give me chips with my two tacos if I have no salsa??! I'm so confused. You can also do like other restaurants that have a squeeze bottle and charge for your salsa if u are really concerned about it. PLEASE START GIVING OUT SALSA WITH OUR ORDERS Thank you, The people

Stopped by for dinner on two different occassions. The style of this restaurant is "order first, then seat yourself," though the register area is a bit small so it can get a little crowded at the door. Overall, the dining area is very clean. The workers wipe down and clean tables right after a group leaves. Since you can see the kitchen from the dinining room, you can also see that the kitchen is very clean and that they scrub their grill often. They also seem to have a strong exhaust fan over their grill, which is a PLUS so that the restaurant doesn't smell like straight up food. The employees are also really friendly and attentive to anything you need and serve you with a smile. For both of my meals here, I ordered... Regular carne asada burrito - Inside, it had rice, beans, and pico de gallo. The meat is nicely marinated and not dry. However, I felt like something was missing from my burrito both times. Overall, pretty solid burrito experience. Horchata - really good! I got the last bit from the container and I was worried that it would taste watery from all the melted ice. I thought wrong! It had the right amount of sweetness and the perfect amount of cinnamon that none of the flavors were too overpowering. Probably would consider the drink the best part of my meal.

I've been here a few times and it used to be good and reasonably priced. I ordered a chili relleno plate for lunch to go. No drink, no nothing. $19.51 out the door. I get home and I barely saw anything green in my relleno. What I did see was extremely thin piece of paper like pepper. There was hard, to chewy cheese and omg, the batter was burnt on the bottom, felt like I was chewing on a dam dry sponge. That was the texture. There was no stem which is typically part of the dish and resembles a chili relleno. Just horrible. My pepper not only paper thin, but was all of 3" long and an inch wide. All I got was a sponge type thick batter and it was gross. Never again. $19.51 for this was ridiculous. Oh they also gave me chips but no salsa. What good are chips with no salsa?? Way too expensive and not worth the money. There is a Mexican restaurant in the Alamo plaza that has great Rellenos with rice and beans, and I got two Rellenos for $16.00 and change. Won't be going back to Favella's. Very disappointed.

We had really been looking forward to trying Los Reyes after reading so many great reviews. We were…read morehoping it would become our new go-to spot for Mexican food since our favorite restaurant is in Davis. The Good: The Cadillac margaritas were excellent! Our group ordered three Classic Cadillacs and one Pink Cadillac, and every one of them was delicious. The staff was very friendly. Our server accidentally spilled an entire tray of ice water onto our table, with a little ending up in both my lap and my daughter's. Accidents happen, and they immediately returned with towels to help clean everything up. I did have to laugh a little as the soaking wet towels ended up pushing more water into my lap than they absorbed, but they were genuinely apologetic and quick to respond. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming. It was a bit loud, but we were dining during peak dinner hours, so it was understandable. The location is fantastic in Old Downtown Vacaville. As a Vacaville native--my father was stationed at Travis AFB from 1957 until his retirement in 1972--my hometown will always be special to me. It's wonderful to see a thriving local business contributing to the vitality of our historic downtown. The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the chile rellenos were among the least enjoyable I've had. To be fair, chile rellenos are my favorite dish, so I'm comparing them to some exceptional versions I've had elsewhere. My husband upgraded his tostada to carne asada but found it rather bland and wasn't particularly impressed. On the other hand, two others in our group are regulars at Los Reyes and ordered their usual favorite, the Enchiladas Montadas. They enjoyed them just as much as they always do, so clearly there are menu items that keep customers coming back. The Value: One of the biggest positives was the price. Our total bill, including tip, was under $200 for five dinners, a shrimp ceviche appetizer, four Cadillac margaritas, and a Coke. We felt that was very reasonable. Overall, while our experience was a bit mixed, there were definitely some highlights. The drinks, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and great downtown location made a positive impression. Unfortunately, the entrées we chose just didn't live up to our expectations. Based on the popularity of Los Reyes and the enjoyment of the regulars in our group, we may have just experienced an "off" night :)

The food is good and they make you feel welcome. Ambiance is simple and like what you might expect at a well run family owned diner. The restaurant is clean and it is calming to enter. I looked, and every customer appeared to be really enjoying their meal...It had that kind of ambiance. Hospitality is a very welcoming 6 stars. They are attentive and treat you nicer than you expect at a business. The food is served in very generous portions and they make a good, house made, horchata. I recommend ordering some. If grandkids are listening, I say the food is pulled up a bit by you're hospitality. Pico de gallo? A blended maybe cooked tomato chili salsa? Freshly chopped onion and cilantro? The rice is a bit bland, but when combined with the red wet burrito sauce, it is fantastic. I think a drizzle of that sauce should be on the inside of every burrito. I am a foodie, and I am giving you a full five stars overall, but recommend a little more fresh veggie. I only write reviews if establishments are excellent or somehow a disappointment. If you want good Mexican you gotta hit Jalisco". Say less. "Oh, and get their green salsa." Ok, you said a little more but we'll get back to that. I headed out the door and started driving. Soon I realized I didn't actually know where I was going (not unusual for me) and called the host. All sorted out I not only found Tacos Jalisco but got the (green) spot right in front. Valet parking would have been less convenient. Things were looking up. I went full gringo and bought a super burrito. Was it OK? No. Was it good? No. Was it great? Getting there. Was it superb? Warmer. Was it T R A N S C E N D E N T? YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was the sauce good? Ok, let's not do this again. Yes! The sauce was HELLA GOOD! How good? Let's just say they sell it by the bottle FOR A REASON, primo. For a reason. Did I buy a bottle? Uh, do people come from out of state to buy bottles to freeze? Uh, yes. So yeah, you best believe I copped a bottle. Call the burrito Davíd Blaine because that lil hommie disappeared real quick. (I got the al pastor which was perfect btw. ) The ambiance? I don't know. Do you remember the color of the carpet when you were at the California Lottery's finance office to pick up your Powerball winnings (you picked lump sum)? Then you know what I'm talking about. A lot of tops. Place was clean. Menu's were easy to read. The very nice lady working the register was hella cool and even offered up suggestions when I was vacillating. Lots of dudes in the kitchen so my to-go came out real quick. (Lots of cooks to me means they're doing a brisk business. Which means fresher food. Faster service. Etc. You know the ------ vibes! So all I have now is this bottle of green salsa and the knowledge that refills are only $5.00. For life. Yes they make it fresh every damn day. Stop playing. Maybe I'll see you at Tacos Jalisco when I'm filling up my bottle.

I tried this place after hearing good things and ordered the nachos. The chips didn't have much salt or flavor and mostly tasted like fried oil. The meat was a bit dry, tough, and overly salty for my preference. I was also surprised they don't offer pico de gallo. Overall, the dish just didn't have the balance or freshness I was hoping for. One thing that would make a big difference is execution. Great nachos should be layered, whether dine-in or takeout, so that cheese and toppings are distributed throughout instead of only on top. That prevents ending up with dry chips halfway through. At the current price point, a little more attention to layering would really elevate the dish. I also noticed the onions were chopped inconsistently, with some large pieces and some very small ones. More uniform chopping would improve both texture and presentation. Eating out isn't inexpensive, so I naturally look for quality and consistency. This feedback is simply meant to be helpful, not critical. I truly believe small adjustments can make a big difference. For now, I'll stick to cooking at home or visiting some of my favorite out-of-town spots that consistently execute dishes well. Whether it's a small hole-in-the-wall or a high-end restaurant, when a kitchen understands proper technique and balance, it shows. When you know, you know.
