I had not been to Carrabba's in years. I felt like eating soup and remembered how good their chicken soup was so I called to place an order. Upon calling, I spoke with a male employee. He told me when it would be ready and that was it. When I asked if I should come inside to pick up the order, his response was, "Yep". When I got home, I spoke with the store manager about the employees response of "Yep". When I asked if he thought this was an appropriate response, the manager said "Yep", that is how he would have responded but that he would have added a little more to it. That was the end of the conversation. When I arrived home and poured the soup in a bowl, I saw 2 very, very small pieces of chicken!! That was it. I only live maybe 6 minutes from the restaurant and the soup was lukewarm. I also ordered meatballs. They were cold!! I recommended this restaurant to a friend. This was only my 2nd time going to a Carrabas and I have to say I had a lovely experience in Chandler. We went around 5ish on a weekday and took advantage of their Sangria flight for $15 which was a great deal and very delicious! Our salads were excellent with the creamy parmesan dressing, oh my it was so good we bought some to take home (yes they sell the dressing!) Then for our entrees we went with the Chicken trio combo which my spouse says was a lot of food and all of it was delicious & the Fettucini alfredo (I opted for broccoli and tomato no protein). The portions were a great size and the flavor was wonderful. Better than I expected that's for sure. Aside from the food being delicious and coming out at the perfect time I of course have to give kudos to our wonderful and attentive server Madison "Maddie", she was friendly, knew her stuff, made some suggestions and was always available. I think they used to be better and starting with that because we haven't been here in years. Came with friends for an early dinner so we were within the bar happy hour hours. One friend wanted something from their appetizer menu and we were told it would be fine to order off that menu in the dining room. Thank you! I ordered the Chicken Piccata with garlic mashed potatoes. Also the Cesar salad and we also got the Calamari. Wife got the Johnny Trio. LOVED the calamari! It was so crispy, not greasy, and the marinara and Ricardo sauces. Didn't care for the Ricardo but the marinara was great. The Cesar salad was great. The main dishes were very salty. The Piccata needed much more lemon and when I mentioned the salty, was told that the capers makes it salty...I am a cook and I can say the chef was too heavy handed with salt, not factoring in the caper briny flavor. Wife was satisfied with her trio dish although she said too salty as well. Everyone seemed satisfied with their meals and we all loved the lentil and sausage soup...that was fabulous. We got a gift card to Carrabba's for Christmas and decided it was time to check them out since it had been forever since we had been there! Upon our arrival, we were greeted and noticed it was pretty chill for a Thursday night. Our server was great; he welcomed us right away and explained their menu. We saw they were offering a three-course dinner for $49 bucks, which made our choice easy peasy! We loved and couldn't get enough of that dang dipping oil and bread they bring out before the meal, along with the sausage and lentil soup! The pasta and pork chop were also pretty good, and the portions were huge! We were so stuffed (probably off the bread) that we had to take home the chocolate cake. Overall, it was a nice experience. An excellent dining experience! The food was delicious, from the appetizers to the salad/soup to the entrees; the quality was a pleasant surprise. Especially the Chicken Parm and Shrimp/Scallion Linguine, the chicken and seafood were cooked to perfection, and the seasoning paired quite nicely. Colton, our waiter, was professional, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, in addition to being accommodating to our 1-year-old daughter (who also deserves a five-star rating for being such a good girl). The building, from the exterior, with its upper level covered in plant life, to the quite Italian interior, made for an appropriate dining atmosphere. So when you ask a vegetarian to take you to get steak.....well ....anyhoo- we ended up here and my guest got a steak and fries with a side of veggies. They said the steak was pretty good but they should have ordered the filet mignon as apparently it was a bit "tough." I had a side house salad that was tasty, nothing spectacular. Wine was okay. A few days ago I came in with the wife about forty minutes after opening and was told there was only one waitress working and it would be about a forty minute wait so we left and had Indian food instead. Set your expectations low, and you might actually have a great time. Pros: The highlight of our visit was definitely the bread with olive oil dip -- absolutely delicious. We started with the shrimp scampi appetizer, which was outstanding, especially the zesty lemon sauce it came in. The Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful. For our entrées, my husband had the lobster ravioli and I ordered the Chicken Bryan with mashed potatoes. They were okay -- not terrible, but definitely on the bland side. Edible, but forgettable. For service, our server was very nice and polite. Cons: Even though it was a very slow Sunday evening -- with only two people at the bar and no one on the restaurant side -- the service was incredibly sluggish. We arrived at 6:00 PM and waited about five minutes at the host stand before the manager acknowledged us. After being seated, we waited nearly 20 minutes for our server. We asked both the manager and the bartender if someone was assigned to our table, and they just kept saying "someone will be right over." We almost left, but I really wanted my husband to try the place. When we finally got our drinks, it was close to 7:00 PM. Overall, we were there from 6:00 to 8:40 PM -- nearly three hours for a simple dinner. It seemed like our server was tied up doing side work or something else behind the scenes, which made the delays even more frustrating. That said, the server was very nice and pleasant once he arrived -- polite and friendly throughout. However, he wasn't able to answer basic questions about the menu. When we asked if he had a favorite dish or if anything was particularly popular, he didn't have any suggestions. I understand I can read the menu, but ingredients alone don't tell you if something is a guest favorite or worth ordering -- a little guidance would have gone a long way. He also never brought us our boxes after we asked several times. He kept saying "oh ya" but then wouldn't come back. Eventually, we just gave up and left. I hadn't been to Carrabbas in a few years and my first time back just as good as I remember. Party of two, went around 5:15p on a Saturday. We were greeted and seated immediately. Withing 5 mins a waiter was at our table ready to take our drink order. Shortly thereafter we had our bread and drinks. On time, he came back and took our food order. I had the stuffed pork chops and they were delicious. The marsala sauce was on point, as usual, and the cook on the chops were just what I asked for, medium well. This was my first time EVER trying their sautéed broccoli and Im not disappointed, it was seasoned well, as were the mashed potatoes. Easy access location right off of the 10 highway, behind Outback with that being said... Let me start by saying KUDDOS to Anthony, Richard and Alison!!! The best service was provided by these 3. They were all so nice, friendly and catering to our every need, making us feel like a celebrities passing by. I am not exaggerating!!! Allison recommended a drink which turned out to be good and she informed me that this location will be starting up a Tuesday Turnup(My words... lol) with a 4 course meal and wine. They call it a wine meal. This upcoming Tuesday is already booked but, you are still able to sign up for the future. The food here is fantastic!!! I only wish that the bread came in wheat rather then white but other then that, everything was perfect to taste and awesome to drink! I will definitely be returning soon read more

Dear Carrabba's Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the customer service my husband and I received during our visit today at your Gilbert, AZ location (2709 South Market St.) on Sunday, September 8, 2024, around 1 PM. This experience was particularly disappointing given our previous visits had been satisfactory. From the moment we entered the restaurant, the atmosphere seemed promising, but our experience quickly declined. A young lady initially took our drink order and seemed rushed, which hinted that our service would not meet expectations. When we informed our server, a young man named Justin, that we were ready to place our food order, he failed to take it, instead bringing our drinks without clearing the table or checking in on us. During this time, we learned that they were out of peach tea, despite the earlier assurance from the young lady that it was available. Justin did offer an alternative options but we had to remind him he was very dismissive and in a hurry rush. After requesting regular tea and strawberry lemonade, we had to repeatedly ask for refills throughout our meal, which was frustrating. It was clear that Justin prioritized other tables over ours, as he consistently checked in on other customers but neglected us. After waiting an unreasonably long time for our food, we noticed that other tables who arrived after us were being served while we remained empty-handed. We asked Justin to make sure our food came out right when it was ready so we could have hot food. Instead the first order came out got everything else was cold. But he still did not provide any assistance. When we finally received our food, it was cold, suggesting it had been sitting unattended for a while. I notice that when I got out of my seat to find a manager. Feeling neglected, I approached the manager, Kyle, who was in the kitchen. However, he did not handle the situation appropriately. He appeared to lack awareness of the issues we faced and failed to offer any solutions or apologies. I requested a change in our server, as it was unacceptable to have to ask for every single thing, from refills to butter. Unfortunately, Kyle did not follow through on this request and did not check back with us. But he did send another server over. This experience was not just disappointing; it was embarrassing. I have worked in the service industry myself and understand the importance of attentive and courteous service. When patrons choose to dine at a sit-down restaurant, they expect to receive better service than what fast-food establishments like In-N-Out Burger or Chick-fil-A can provide. It is clear that there are deeper issues within the management and staffing at this location. If the restaurant is short-staffed, then it is the responsibility of the management to communicate this to customers and adjust service expectations accordingly. My husband and I felt undervalued as customers, and it is disheartening to think that this location continues to falter in customer service. Our visit to Carrabba's was a wasted trip, and we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I suggest a review of your hiring practices and training programs to ensure that your staff embodies the level of service that Carrabba's is known for. The one star is because I had no choice. For an Italian place, I expected the pasta to be excellent.... Instead we got mush with tomato sauce. What a disappointing experience! The meats however were very well prepared: steak, marsala chicken were delicious but eating these with overcooked pasta was meh. Don't think we will be back. It's a pity! I received a gift card to Carrabbas on my birthday so I decided to try this place. We showed up on a Sunday afternoon and were seated right away. The place was not busy at all. The food was ok nothing amazing just average. When it came time to pay we handed the waiter the $50 gift plus 20 dollars cash because the bill had come out to like $68. He right away asked if the $20 was his tip to which we said no that's just for the food we had left the tip on the table. We told him we don't need change anyways so we start to get ready to leave. He comes back right away and stops us right right by the front door because our gift card looked fake. After a couple of minutes he comes back and says we are free to go. Sorry to a competing entity, but Carrabba's offers delivery! And, I'm pretty happy to have opted for this one to hit a random Italian craving. I love they offer the "sampler" meal when you just can't choose between! A little of each goes more than a long way- this dish is enough to split between two or having split into two servings for leftovers. The most popular items are offered & each was pretty good. I think their chicken parmesan is one of the better I've had. However- where were the noodles & marinara that should accompany it? They kind of cheat you on that, but even so, it was still good enough to get over. The lasagna was also a great, hearty slice full of flavor & perfection! It stood out, in my book. But, the fettuccine Alfredo- meh. I know anytime you order this dish, it isn't going to be the greatest if it isn't served immediately fresh. But, this was just, blah. None of the sauce suck to the pasta at all & was all over the container soaking in to the other portions. Not really worth it if you're going to opt for delivery. What I was able to salvage & reconstruct, the sauce didn't have any flavor so it was pretty much lightly seasoned, bland noodles. The complimentary bread is always appreciated. No, I don't need the extra carbs & calories... but a good Italian meal needs bread to soak up the sauces! I sincerely appreciated the side of grated parmesan & olive oil provided- it complimented the bread well. If you pop the bread in the microwave covered in a damp paper towel for 30 seconds, it's the equivalent of receiving it fresh from the kitchen in the restaurant! Little trick I learned. And, the side Caesar salad was perfect. Fresh greens, plenty of dressing & adequate croutons. Actually one of the better side salads I've had in a while. I noticed cannoli on the menu & had to try! Impressive that usually you only get 1 cannoli, but this offering was 2 for what I'd usually pay for one, elsewhere. And they were REALLY good! Flavor, texture, consistency- all bases were covered. The only suggestion: a chocolate drizzle like others top theirs with would be a full home run. I really enjoyed their offerings & this entirely did top my former "go-to" for Italian cravings. Our server, Jazzmine, was exceptional. Prompt, professional, polite, efficient and just a lovely young lady. Food was very good but the chicken was a bit too salty and I like salt. We were seated immediately upon arrival and Jazzmine was there within a minute to take our drink order and answer question about the dishes. Our order was delivered in a very short time frame and both of us enjoyed our meals. Calamari was mostly breading and the vodka sauce in the pasta was so watery. Avoid the seafood. Side salad for my guest was made incorrectly so they didn't get to eat their salad with everyone else. I've been here twice ever and both times left a lot to be desired. The first time was years ago with a party of around 7 people and the whole experience took us about an hour to get our food after ordering. Since that was a few years ago I thought I'd give it another go with just a party of two. This time, it was worryingly lightning fast. It couldn't have been more than 5 minutes to receive our food. I ordered the Fettuccine Carrabba (chicken Alfredo) and all I can say is the chicken was super chewy and dry, the sauce was definitely NOT an Alfredo (it was more like a herb & butter sauce), and there was barely any of the sauce to even identify there was any. This has been the first time I've ever sent food back anywhere. I felt bad, but it was inedible. However, their solution after those two complaints, take it back to the kitchen for a minute, then bring the same plate back out with more of the 'not Alfredo' on the side. You have to take things in context and restaurants are no different. Yes this is a chain restaurant, and keeping that in mind there are still a number of things you expect to be done well. Service was very good, the bread was fresh and hot. We had calamari as an appetizer and it came out quickly and you could tell the fryer oil was clean and fresh (I hate fried food when they have nasty oil). The lobster ravioli was delicious, not as good as Vito's, but still very good. Seafood linguine was tasty as well and a huge portion. read more

i hostessed my 75th birthday party at the Chandler Carabbas with 15 guests. Their back room was intimate and once I asked the waitress, Korin, to turn the music down, we could hear each other pretty well. The food, as usual, was excellent! This was actually really good, normally I don't order anything from chain restaurants, but I had an old gift card (pre-2020!!) and on a Friday night, my kids chose this place for a take-out. We ordered a family bundle order and they were excited. The Chicken Parmesan was excellent, salad was fresh and nicely put together, and the pasta was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, and I think the family bundle is a great deal for what it is.
