They cant follow specific directions for any special order. AND they talk negatively about the customer where they can hear. Something needs to be done about the rude employees. I have absolutely had it with this place. I arrived on a Tuesday evening, about 7:15. I couldn't get their app to work, so I figured I'd go to the drive through. But when I arrived, all the outside lights were out, and the drive through wasn't working. I would've been certain the place was closed if I hadn't seen people working inside. Their hours weren't posted on the door, so I tried it and they were open. I asked the man at the counter what had happened to the outside lights, and he told me "I have absolutely no idea." I explained that I had just spent the previous 30 minutes trying to get their app to take my order, and he said he had no idea how that worked. Then he wandered through the back and returned, saying "What's wrong with the lights?" I told him all the outside lights were out, including the drive through, and he wandered through the back again. Then he returned, saying "I've got them turned on now." I gave him my order, and he did give me the discount I should've gotten through the app. But then I had to wait for 10 minutes while he slowly bagged a few other orders and wandered through the back again. He seemed to be moving very slowly, like he was deep underwater. I had the very strong impression that he was deeply stoned. No one else came in while I was waiting, although some folks in the dining area picked up their orders. He gave me a number and said he'd bring my order out to me when it was ready, but he was acting so spacey I felt certain it would sit on the counter until it was cold, so I stood back from the counter and waited. Finally it was ready, and I thanked him and left. But really, what the actual hell? This is the second time I've been to this place when it seemed nobody knew what was going on. Hello, I have a complaint about my experience. Today I used a coupon and ordered online. I put in my first order that had a coupon for a 799 sampler classic. I then decided to place an additional separate order because Fazoli sent me a free spaghetti. My brother also put in an order for his free spaghetti and meatballs. When we went to pick up these orders, they only had my classic sample ready. They explain to us how they couldn't find the other two orders in their system. They went back-and-forth with us for 10 to 15 minutes, saying there was nothing they could do even though we provided confirmation codes for all the orders. We asked for a manager and he explain how he WAS the manager. We were shocked at his poor customer service and offering us no help or solution on what to do or who to contact. Eventually I could tell he got sick of us going back and forth not leaving without our food and he just gave it to us. I eventually came to the conclusion that the app may have canceled my first order because I put in two... but why? It shouldn't even let another order go through if two orders with coupons are not allowed. Makes things super complicated. No where does it say I can't do two separate orders.All the arguing and back and forth ruined our night and our experience! I'll be sure to leave a review for this location on google and yelp. Hold up am I in Naples Italy!? Nope just at Fazoli's in independence mo. Decided to take a run at the baked spaghetti ,and I won the race because it was delicious! After putting down 9 1/2 breadsticks, a spaghetti meat and fried mozzarella skewers I thought I had ran my race. Wrong! BRING ON THE CHEESECAKE!! Came for an afternoon lunch. They have a really great lunch special for $6. The lunch rush had just ended so it wasn't busy at all. After ordering our food and getting seated the food came out promptly. I love that they offer unlimited breadsticks. Which was one reason why we came. Unfortunately this time the bread sticks were so greasy from sitting in the garlic butter. It was unbearable to really eat without feeling queasy. I love the newer floor plan and design with high tables. They also no longer have the trash station so they staff cleans the tables and discards dishes and trash. Hmm this is my 2nd visit to fazoli's. Both times it was just meh. Really expensive for just a sandwich and drink. Like $12. They provide a lot of food, but I didn't need a lot of food. I don't normally eat Italian out. And I don't like to spend a fortune on it if I do. So, this place fits me. I really like the lasagna. You can taste the ricotta cheese. I know, it's a chain, but that's aw-right. Those breadsticks, too. But the other day when I ate inside the restaurant, they didn't pass the breadsticks, and I had to ask about it. They said, "Oh, do you want breadsticks?" And they bought out the basket of breadsticks. I like this place better than the local hamburger places, by far. It's cheap, fast Italian food. Boy has fazolis turned it around from the last time I was in here a few months ago, (they must've read my last yelp post) wait staff that are happy to see you, the place is clean and they have replaced the utensils with something a lot more sturday. Let me also add that I didn't get my lasagna served to me in an aluminum pan....for me that's a big deal They must have also replaced the management staff here because the last bunch couldn't charm the wart off a frog. We asked another work and she came with a basket. We asked for at least 5 bread article since there was 5 of us and she gave us 4 saying she needed them for other guest. Went here for the start of a road trip on a Tuesday night and they were pretty busy for a week night. The manager, Tom, was extremely courteous and accommodating. Upon my arrival I visited the men's restroom. It was very clean!! I went to order my food and I was greeted by someone who I'm guessing was new "Bruce". I judge the being new off it took him a little bit to Ring things up and he had to ask for help. -But that's completely fine!! We all are new when we start something new-. Over all I was very happy with Bruce, he was polite and respectful. I purposely ordered a certain way, to see if he would offer the meal deal which gave me a better value AND HE DID! Good job Bruce. Something that did rub me wrong was who I'm guessing is the manger. I heard her bickering at her employees more then 5 times. She was gripping at the employees there about someone coming in late, which is unprofessional. That should be kept private and between her and that employee. I have ordered food from this location online and in the drive thru and something has been wrong almost every time, even when I request an item or ask them to make sure it's in my entree or with my order. I ordered online around 5:30 and picked a scheduled time for 7:30 the same night. When my wife arrived to pick it up it wasn't ready and the manager who was cooking said "that's what happens when you show up 30 minutes early." She said the time said 8 even though I got the confirmation email saying 7:30. Fazoli's doesn't put on airs... They are Fast Food Italian but they do it pretty well. Hubby and I were hungry, wishing for Italian, too lazy to make it ourselves but not interested in spending a lot of time out on a rainy Saturday night so we headed over to Fazoli's on 39th Street in Independence. For our money we got chopped lettuce salads, generous entree helpings of lasagna for Hubs and Chicken Parmesan with Spaghetti for me and a choice of drinks for both of us. It was right at six o'clock in the evening and nearly every table was occupied with half a dozen waiting in line in front of us to order. But the line moved quickly and we easily found seats and got started on the salads. A young woman popped by to offer bread sticks and the lettuce was fresh and crisp and garnished with chopped tomato. Half way through the salads, a young man came by and offered more warm bread sticks. It did seem to take a wee bit longer that most fast food for our entrees to arrive at our table but the young woman (a different one) said she was sorry for the delay and offered us desserts for our having to wait -- which is a very nice gesture. My spaghetti was very good and so was the sauce. The Chicken patty was tender and the breading well flavored but the actual chicken perhaps lacked much hearty flavor and seemed bland. It is a large serving and I ended up bringing about half of it home with me. Hubby's lasagna was also a large serving and he ended up eating all of it and then feeling too full, so it must have tasted pretty good. Less than an hour after heading out to 39th Street, we were pulling back into our driveway. No muss, no fuss. Hubby's only comment as we let ourselves back into our house was "Too bad we don't have a Fazoli's in Raytown." I would tend to agree. read more

We drove 30 minutes for Mother's Day lunch. We see a woman out in the dining area chatting with customers. She eventually walks behind the counter and tells us it'll be 10 minutes before she takes our order because they're short-staffed- no apology or hint of kindness. She walked into the back and someone said something to her. She took a couple orders out and finally decided to take our order. She was short with us and obviously pissed that we bothered to stay. My son ordered his pasta with no sauce. She yells "you want what" incredulously. He's obviously embarrassed and repeated his order. I muttered "what a bitch" under my breath. My husband finished the order and paid. As he was walking away she said she was going to cancel our order. He turned around and asked for the manager. She continues to scream at me and complain about how she's working long hours and I called her a bitch. She says she didn't hear his order (but she heard me under my breath 5 feet away to my son). The young lady that took my order was friendly and knowledgeable of the food, but I could not get past the lady (term used loosely) who was raising her voice at other employees.
