For weeks, I was told that Fazzari's was the best pizza in the world. As a California native, I was skeptical of the claim. Yet after one meal at Fazzari's I have to believe it could very well be true. In addition to friendly staff (kudos to the guy who I talked about Tito's Taco's with for 15 mins) clean enviorment and family friendly atmosphere the pizza is really f'n good. I tried to Taco and the Shotsy. I don't even like Hot Dogs and the Shotsy was amazing. Shame this place is 1000+ miles from home, as I would be ordering exclusively from Fazzari's. read more

I was told this was THE place for pizza, and that I had to try the Shotsy, loaded with sauerkraut, sausage and a rich mustard sauce. The pie had a fantastic crust, but I thought the pie in general was good, but not what all the hype was about. I felt hungry 30 minutes after eating, but i think it more of the sauerkraut. I definitely want to go and try a sampler of their other unique creations. The service is fantastic and it has that old school brown paneling and brick 70s pizza joint feel I love. read more

Great pizza, of course. Their "Italian" offerings are always a disappointment. I swear, canned lasagna, frozen meatballs, etc. Italian isn't that hard to make, but these guys should stick to Pizza. The restaurant atmosphere leaves much to be desired. read more

Really good pizza! The crust was really good. They don't skimp on the cheese, although we all agreed it could use some more sauce. Stopped in on a Sunday, ordered two pizzas to go and was out in less than 15 minutes. Best part is, my kids were entertained the whole time watching them make the pizza. What am I missing considering all of the great reviews this place has received? The building and decor is dreadful but that is not what I came for. I wanted some good pizza but this fell way flat for me. I can honestly say that I have had comparable frozen pizza from a grocery store. We had two pies, a sausage and their vegetarian. The vegetarian was ok, the sausage was terrible. $63 for two pizzas, two dinner salads which consisted of iceburg lettuce and baby carrots, and two sodas. Are you kidding me? I was recommended to try the Shotsy pizza while I was in town. I do not like sauerkraut, so I was not really sold on this, but I didn't want to be rude. I opted to get the Sampler pizza, which includes their four most popular pizzas (including the shotsy). I'm not going to lie, that shotsy was DELICIOUS. This was our first time here and it was great. As you wait in line to order, you're seeing the great work the staff are doing making pizzas. The pizza looked delicious and tasted delicious. I like the dining room layout. Long tables and chairs, all connected. Great conversations with people you don't even know. Awesome environment. Beer came in a chilled glass. Wine is the box type. This is a great place to eat, have conversations with complete strangers, and friends. My wife had the chef salad. A little too much cheese on the salad. She took off about 1/2 cup of cheese. So often a local favorite tradition is a local favorite simply because it is a tradition. Not so with Fazzari's. This pizza is absolutely wonderful. If you're in the area and hungry, this is the place to go. The crust is thin and crispy (just how I like it) and the toppings are piled high. Fantastic pizza. I'm a mental case over the Shotzi. My only criticism has to do with the table tops.....look, I understand that 30 year old Formica with all the texture is going to catch a lot of crud. But seriously, it needs to be cleaned. You could catch a disease from the table tops. I used to have the same Formica in my kitchen and the only way to really clean it is to use Mr. Clean sponge thingies. Ok, we had heard that Fazarris is THE place for pizza in the LC Valley. So we ordered a couple of pizzas (the House and a pepperoni) and were excited to see what all the hype was about. Since I couldn't find any info online on their pricing I asked the lady on the phone after I ordered, "What's the total going to be for those pizzas?" She said that she didn't know but would find out for me and put me on hold. She came back a few minutes later and said, "It'll be like 35 or 40 bucks." Say what? My husband went and picked up the pizzas and when he got home told me that it came to $46. Not cool, Fazarris. List your freaking prices! ::rant over:: Anyhow, the pizza was ok. The salad bar is sad, a large bowl of iceberg lettuce, baby carrots, and your choice of dressing for 3.05 per person. The pizza on the other hand is unique. The shotsy was a rare treat, a mustard sauce, sauerkraut, and sausage, if not for this one pizza, I would say don't bother.
