Was very pleased with my meal tonight! We made reservations for 2 on a Saturday night. This was our first time here and really loved the brick decor within Feast. Perfect ambiance and feel as we sat for our meal. Our waitress was very kind and attentive as we choose our meals. I had the Moscow meal - asked for lime on the side. Perfect ginger beer! My husband enjoyed his red wine. We had the: * Meatballs - these were fantastic! Some of the best meatballs I've ever had. 3 huge meatballs - they were moist, above cheese, and flavorful! * Scallops Starter - I LOVE Scallops. These were cooked perfectly! It had a cous cous mix in the middle with other ingredients. Great flavor profile! * Ribeye - Cooked medium and was amazing! Flavorful, cooked perfect. Delicious! The creamy horseradish on the side was a great combination * Truffle MAC & Cheese - a MUST! The flavor and hint of garlic is amazing! There is spinach sautéed inside as well. The old saying goes "if it ain't broke don't fix it". We've been coming here since moving to the PNW from TX, and it WAS our go to place when we celebrated special occasions and recently my birthday. Where will we be bringing my family when they come back to visit us when we all liked it when the Original menu was Superb! When we were here last they did mention the menu was going to change and the bone marrow wrapped in phyllo dough was awful. Glad at that time they kept the steaks whole and seasoned well. The whole entire menu has changed. They've changed the dining chairs, comfortable and we like it. But it wasn't necessary. We think the change of furniture wasn't necessary. Ordered Steak and Eggs, side of Asparagus , French Toast. Bloody Mary. All was really good with the exception of please let patrons salt their own food. My gripe? On the bill there is an "Upcharge" for a Bloody Mary. So, they charge you for the Vodka(I ordered well $8.50)and they charged $2.50 to make it a Bloody Mary. This just felt tacky. I have seen this at airports with Martinis because of extra Vodka but never a Bloody Mary. Just charge more. That said would return the steak and French Toast excellent. Really sad they changed their menu. Food was expensive before, but at least the portions made it worth it. Now they are small and called "share-ables" which is ridiculous considering the small size. Also not a fan of food coming out at different times; we went with another couple and it's awkward to eat at all different times. What has happened to our fantastic Feast 316? I've been coming here for 10 years or more. There was always a nice variety of good food and you never left hungry. That is not the case anymore. Zach was the bartender and he's excellent. Easy going, professional personality with good suggestions and remembers the old cocktails. For $400 we had 4 cocktails, 1 bottle of wine, 1 special that was a ribeye with croquette potatoes and mushrooms, and two other dinners that we settled on after learning they were out of 3 of our first 3 choices from the menu. I had ordered a fillet mignon and asked if I could change my order since we still had not put a complete order in due to them being out of so many dishes. The waitress told me my steak was already on the grill. No problem, I assumed our meals would be coming out soon. 30 minutes later our meals came. I was expecting a fillet that would be very thick since it took over 30 minutes to cook. It was the size of a hamburger patty on top of maybe a tablespoon of potatoes that looked like a little mayonnaise underneath the tiny steak on this giant plate. I estimated the steak was almost an inch tall but was corrected by somebody who uses measurements as a standard for her business who said it was 3/4 of an inch tall. My medium-rate 'prime' fillet patty had been sliced and since there was no blood or juice, clearly that was lost on the slicing table. Maybe it shrunk after having it either on the grill for 30 minutes or sitting under warming lights. This has been one of my favorite restaurants for the past decade plus. I have recommended it to many friends and clients. How disappointing. Wow, wow, wow. This was an exceptional meal in every possible aspect. The service was exceptional--attentive and personal, as though we were familiar regulars, though we had never been. Feast at 316 used to be a favorite for my partner and I. We even got engaged there in 2021. The food, drinks, and service used to be top notch. Over time, however, all that started to change. The quality of food started to diminish, their drink options have become mediocre, and the worst part is that their service has absolutely tanked. This is not just a one time issue, we've gone back three times giving them the benefit of the doubt. Each time, however, it was consistently poor, absent, and/or utterly lost. For the cost of a dinner and two drinks, the service needs to be good. Sadly, I don't know that we will be going back. read more

What a cool place in downtown Camas! The last day of vacation is always bittersweet. You are anxious to get home to your bed but wonder why you didn't plan for like 2 extra days. During that contemplation,we found Feast at 316 for lunch. They had just opened and we were welcomed warmly. I have a two year old, and this placed was very accommodating with him. The server suggested a number of kid-friendly things including butter noodles which he ended up LOVING. My husband had a fantastic burger with goat cheese, I ate a turkey panini with avocado, and my mom had the Rueben. The food was GREAT. The portions are large- worth splitting if you go for lunch. We ordered the $30 "meat log" for the table which was really odd-terribly under- seasoned combo of ground meats wrapped in puff pastry and served with two sauces that literally tasted like nothing-seems impossible but it was true! Hangar steak was pretty good. Had good flavor and was very charred (maybe too charred), chicken swizzle was good but VERY sweet (and relied too heavily on heavy cream for flavor imo) as was the bolognese. Why so much sugar in these sauces guys?? Over $300 for four people (two of whom didn't even drink and no dessert or salads). We've tried it and won't be back. I've been here a handful of times and tonight was the worst. I don't know if they have a new cook, but the food was not like it was in the past. Appetizers and entrees have shrunken and become greasy with no flavor. For the prices asked they can do so much better. The service was also horrendous. I counted about ten employees and it took fifteen minutes from being seated for one to finally take a drink order, and my husband and I were one of three parties that were in the restaurant. There was a party of four that left because of how long it took to be acknowledged. The employees seemed too occupied with chatting with each other than wanting to help guest. The food here was amazing. Our family came in for brunch and I had the the Camas skillet: seasoned meatloaf bacon wrapped in a pastry topped with poached eggs surrounded by smashed white beans. It was beyond amazing! I also tried the "smashed fried potatoes" but they weren't what I would call "smashed" but rather small fried or baked potatoes; nevertheless, it was also delicious and on point. I also tried my niece's waffle and it was perfectly cooked and absolutely tasty. The chef/owner came out and checked on our meal. He even brought two little toys for our nieces. I really liked the service and options at this restaurant. The ambience has very low dark lighting inside but this is probably because it mainly serves as a dinner steakhouse. Overall, this is a restaurant with unique food items and great service. The menu also has menu items reminiscent of New Orleans cuisine with food choices such as cheese grits, beignets, and eggs Benedict. I also spied another table's meal: chicken and waffles and it didn't look like it would disappoint; that's my next menu item on our next visit. After hearing and reading good things about Feast at 316, we decided to invite some friends from Gresham for lunch after having attended my wife's presentation on Emily Brönte at the Camas Public Library around the corner. The place was empty when we arrived, a relatively small dining room and bar with brick walls, wooden tables and chairs, and chalkboards. At $40 for lunch, including tip, a burger, meatloaf and an IPA ($6), I was not impressed in the least. The Plain Jane burger ($10) was as described, a simple, decent size beef patty with cheddar cheese on a basic bun, a small lettuce leaf (with a puddle of water still on it), thinly sliced tomato and onion, and homemade sweet pickle slices that were not very good. The accompanying steak fries appeared to be cut in-house and were seasoned well, but lukewarm, not hot. Not a bad value overall, but the meat had an odd taste. My McCusker Meatloaf ($15) was wrapped in bacon and a puff pastry, but very dry with no gravy or sauce. It had obviously been sitting somewhere for quite a while because it was, like the fries, lukewarm, had little flavor, and fell apart when cut with my fork, making it difficult to eat. The "smash fried potatoes" seemed more like burnt potato skins than fried potatoes, sitting on a red sauce, apparently their "Monkey Gland" sauce, which tasted as bad as the name sounds. The accompanying brussel sprouts came in a bacon Dijon sauce and were too rich for me to finish. Believe it or not, the same meatloaf is $25 on their dinner menu, but I felt ripped off having paid $15 for the lunch version, neither coming with soup, salad, and/or bread. Pasta dishes run $22 to $27 and other entrees range from $23 (chicken) to $43 (8 ounce filet) on the dinner menu. At $27, their "Fettucine" Bolognese (misspelled on the menu - it should be "fettuccine" with two Cs) costs three times more than the best and most expensive Bolognese I have ever had in Italy. Based on our lunch experience and their dinner menu prices, I do not see myself spending $100 on a mediocre, lukewarm dinner for two any time soon. At least they do not have a 5% surcharge for non-tipped employees any longer, apparently having decided to pay their employees a fair wage without gouging customers any more than they already do. I had the Tagliatelle Bolognese it had a mixture of two different beef w/ lamb and a twist in the sauce - sweet and spicy - it was so yummy!! I've been to Feast a few times now, the most recent visit being one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We had a reservation for 4, we are people of color, we were sat in the back of the restaurant, and noticed that every other table around us (non-POCs) seemed to get their food and orders taken much faster than us. Our dinner was an insanely long 3.5 hours and during the course of our experience: - 1 out of 4 appetizers didn't arrive for over an hour with no notice from our server - Server took over 20-30 min to take our order after each round arrived (drinks, appetizers, entrees) and would forget what we each had ordered and had to come back around multiple times to double-check - We ordered 2 entrees of the smaller portions of steak (ribeye and NY strip) and the more expensive, larger (in steak oz) entrees arrived instead and we were accordingly charged for these way overpriced expensive cuts of steak At that point, we were so hungry that we didn't care to send the entrees back for what we had initially ordered, and realized we had essentially been forgotten about. read more

it was one of our favorite restaurants in Camas. Not anymore. Took two friends who had never been there and was raving about the food , drinks and onion rings. No more onion rings, now they are clusters of mush and look and tasted like oily hash brown clusters. Steak salad was small and hubby said the meat was scraps from ends of steak. Pappardelle was greasy, basically pasta with a few peas thrown in and soggy chunks of pork belly. Plates for Appetizers had to be returned because they obviously were not all washed, still had food on them. Asked waiter for two checks, brought one check. When he separated the check, one was correct ours was still for full amount of bill. Take some time to sort it out. New favorite steakhouse in Camas! This restaurant is five stars all the way around. The cocktails to start are delicious. The Old Fashion was crisp and original which I love. We did the Valentine's Day Oyster special which certainly did not disappoint. I normally add so much cocktail sauce and lemon to mask the flavor of the oyster, however these oysters were to die for. No extra flavor needed! For dinner we got the 8oz filet and the fettuccine bolognese. My oh my, the steak was cooked perfectly. So much flavor and still melted in your mouth with every bite. The bolognese was made with steak bits and peppers, it was out of a dream. We also shared the Brussel sprouts which came in a cream sauce with pork belly mixed in, if that doesn't make your mouth water! Smoked corn & SHRIMP Chowder soup ... the shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked I think I had 3 big ones and I cannot even begin to name all the veggies in it plus big chunks of bacon. I almost licked the bowl. Fantastic! Then I got their 3 beet salad and this time it had some heat that the server thinks is one of the oils on it. Whewww! It was a good heat though. I don't know what kind of cheese but so good plus the vinegarette had honey in it too so the sweet with the heat was great then sour vinegar with earthy beets and lettuces. Really I could of had a sufficient lunch on either but who knows when I'll be back so I had both with water. They bring you a big bottle so that was nice too. $30 with tip. Well worth it.
