Everything Fedex seem to touch gets destroyed. More than 1/2 the packages and boxes delivered to my home look like they have been through a mill. Holes, tears , heavy dents in almost every package. Very poor service. I avoid them whenever I can. read more

Can't be bothered. Staff always seems to have a poor attitude and is bothered by questions or comments. "You dropping off a package?" Yes, and could I get it scanned in (so that I have record of this transaction)? "Yeah, the self scanner is over there" to which I'm sort of like that's silly to have to bring it somewhere else when the clerk scanner is right there... but the attitude is unbelievable. Such disdain for a question that I'm sure comes up all the time. Why are you telling me to interact with anything other than a human being? Why put your job in jeopardy, I don't get it. So you want me to do it myself, why even come here to be treated terribly by someone who clearly hates their job? It simply doesn't make sense. Oh and I know this isn't the fault of the staff, but a box there sells for $20, meanwhile the same box at Home Depot sells for two bucks. That's insane. This is a ver nice store in the center of the Riva Festival in Parole, MD. It is huge for the real estate and has two entrances (front and back). The service is sometimes slow if there are a lot of people queued. I do appreciate how the staff will call out for anyone with "drop-off" packages to save time. They also will suggest a delivery receipt for certain items (such as returning items to Verizon or Comcast). They also provide tape and some packing materials for free. FedEX may be a bit more expensive, but I think it is worth it. read more

I was recently in need of speedy create/print services to plan my Grandmother's funeral arrangements. Needless to say the last thing I wanted to endure was bad customer service. Well, I have to say that this was NOT the issue at this location. Roger (manager or should be if not) was extremely helpful and caring throughout my order process. He helped me to select the best photo to blow up for the service and was patient the entire time with my print order. I cannot thank him enough for his service and courtesy. I have never shipped something here when my wait wasn't 15 minutes or more. Other employees mill about and watch the line growing longer. It's ridiculous. **Update: After 22 minutes in line, employee John just threw my ID and paperwork at me and said he won't help me, after I asked why he skipped me to help another woman who was clearly a friend of his. Unacceptable customer service. I was in in today to drop off a package with preprinted label attached. I was waiting in live when their sales associate pointed for me to come. I responded with you can address me words, his response was "didn't know I needed to". *Sigh* He ask me in an aggressive tone what I needed, I need to ship a package and I need a receipt. He waved me to another computer to pick my receipt. As we walked over to the computer "I said if you treat me like crap I will treat you like crap as well." He walked off to the back. In my opinion Roger came out aggressive and confrontational asked "what I needed?. "I need to ship a package and I need a receipt". His response "I'm gonna show you something". Took my package to a self service kiosk. Scanned the box and handed my a receipt. Didn't say anything and just walked off. I will no longer by choice use FedEx moving forward. read more

I was in the other day to drop off a package with the label ready. It was an important shipment and I wanted a receipt. I had plenty of time to watch. *sigh* Lots of staff but only one person actually helping anyone. The loaders moving packages out to trucks were rude and seemed to have no clue at all that customers are to be treated with respect. Everyone I saw in FedEx regalia looked disheveled and unprofessional. It took 10 minutes to serve one person in front of me and all those extra staff never moved to open the second customer service position. Finally back in the parking lot I called the phone number for the service survey. What a nightmare that was. Poorly organized and way too time consuming. You had to suffer through a lot of menus to get the chance to provide feedback. This is not the FedEx I used to know, either locally or corporately. read more

I have have shipping from this location for two years and yesterday without warning service rep Mary Kay decided to open my package and state that she cannot ship my item due to a policy that has always been in place. Not only that she was very belligerent when asked why. Stating that she does not have to deal with this crap. The manager responded in support of Mary but she has shipped the same item in the past. Will try to avoid this location. One of the workers an elderly woman with grey hair and glasses, went through two boxes of gifts I was sending to friends in another state. Only reason I knew was because she pulled out items in both. Was not aware I could not ship liquids. Is this a policy of FedEx, to go through clients packed boxes before they tape them??? I've had about 8-10 boxes shipped to this location over the last year, 'hold at location'. Every single time I received a text message, an email from Fedex, and a phone call from an employee from this office all saying the package was available for pickup at this location. Yet, every single time, when I arrive and give them my ID...they search for 30 seconds and then tell me the box isn't there and that I must have made a mistake. Without fail, I then have to show them the tracking number so they look it up online. Sometimes I'm required to show them the text and/or voicemail I received too. Once they have convincing evidence the box IS there, and after a dumbfounded look while they stare at the computer (which simply says "delivered"), they again try to convince me the box is not there (because they couldn't find it). I refuse to leave and proceed to persuade them to look a bit harder for it. So they reluctantly attempt a second (or sometimes third) search for like 5 more minutes, check computer again, tell me again its not there, look at me dumbfounded, I tell them it is here...they check the tracking number AGAIN, round and round we go with this stupid song and dance...then miraculously voila! Like magic! They found the box! Exactly where they looked five times already! This happens EVERY...SINGLE...TIME. Worst part, there are only a handful of boxes back there each time to look at! I can see the shelves through the open door. And I watch the employee look at my box about 5 times before finally recognizing it. Sometimes I will suggest "that box right there" and they tell me nope, that's not it. Only to turn out that was my box. Gets REALLY OLD trying to persuade and convince the employee that my box is delivered. I'm also tired of the excuses and resistance I get when I know my box is there and they don't want to look for it, and they give up after a quick 30 second search. read more

I rarely write reviews. I had to send a large fax, and it had been years since I've sent one. Well the FedEx guy, nice young black man, was extremely helpful. I decided to take my mask off because I was hot and there was no one else in the store. I was towards the front and everyone else was towards the back, so I thought it would be okay. The manager (?) came over and started screaming in my face, asking me to put my mask on, etc. she was incredibly rude and aggressive, even threatened to have me thrown out of her store by security. She does not deserve to be manager. I asked for a minute to put the mask back on as I was in the middle of this fax. She stared at me until she did. I realize I should not have taken the mask off, but I advise people to NOT use this Kinkos. It was literally deserted anyway. read more

Wide selection of retail items to buy (and they cheerfully provide tape and some packing materials gratis! I needed a passport photo done. One of the details of doing a passport photo is NO SHADOWS. As they have lights on the ceiling, that's rather impossible for them. But what bugs me the most is when I brought this up, both the employee and his manager walked away from me immediately like I was being a 4-year-old PITA. I wasn't complaining - I was trying to get the product I asked for. The manager's last comment to me was "I take 20 of these a day". Their response wasn't to simply talk - they went immediately to "Jebus.. just another dumbarse customer off the street". I simply did what they wanted.. I left. This place is garbage. I went I. Whit what I thought was a simple drop off on a package. I get greeted by this lady only one there. We go on about our business then she says put your package here which I do then rudely says go back in the purple circle which I do. The. She says I can't scan this since it has a line through it printer issue Then she says you have your phone I was like yeah my kids is playing with it I'll go grab it which I do. I pull up the barcode which I assume she wants to scan it She never said anything else. Then she has the audacity to say I can't scan that. You'll have to print it. I'm like WHAT!! How the f*** am I going to print it I don't have a printer in my back pocket. I just took my package and go someplace else. The only reason why I chose this location was that I was down two shops over. We called latter and found out her name is Jeannette and apparently she's the assistant manager. I tell you what if an assistant manager treats people this way with no offer to help or nothing. Then they are in the wrong business I'm surprised with that attitude and customer service she made it up to assistant manager. I had come in due to a door dash mix up and went to ask one of the employees working at the shipment intake desk if they had perhaps seen it or received anything of the sort. As one does, I patiently waited in line behind this older gentlemen who was quickly tended to by one of the two desk workers. Once I had seen that the second person working had finished up with their guest I had made my way over to inquire about my missing Panera order. As I politely greeted the second woman working at the desk I was only met with rudeness. She had assumed that I had cut in front of the older gentleman who was in front of me and already being helped and checked to see if he was "okay" and then resumed to me with feigned pleasantries. I understand that I present young but I wasn't raised to be rude to anyone no matter if I was in a rush or not. Everyone should have the opportunity to be treated with kind customer service. I've come here for printing multiple times, and always get helped quickly and with a great attitude. Here's a tip: bring whatever you need on a USB drive and in multiple formats for printing. Then, go to the back to the counter and ask for them to print it for you. They'll do a sample and take care of all the headache of double-sided flyers pretty fast! I am so impressed now because I just had a guy take care of a bunch of flyers for me, and when the total came (was way higher than I was expecting), he cut the price for me because he didn't quote me what the job would be and said it was his fault. 08.03.20 Called Annapolis location from another FedEx location that could not print a label for me. The representative wasn't sure if he could help me but said he would try. Arrived within the half hour of the store closing and I needed to get a picture of a prepaid label off of my phone. The only way it could be done was having it emailed to their office. Needless to say I was having difficulties and needed to use their paid computers. Jay came over to assist. Prior to this a lovely young lady whose name I am sorry I didn't get was wonderful in helping me. Finally everything worked out. I walked into this Fedex with a pre-printed and pre-boxed package. I was barked at by the employee and treated rudely when I asked a simple question. A simple job that should take the employee 30 seconds to process the pre-printed and boxed item, is less important than them having a conversation with a coworker and acting bothered to engage with the customer like a professional! I came here on 9/30, my experience was horrible! I stood in line to drop off a packaged and was told rudely to place it in the drop box. I was not greeted and the employee seemed annoyed. When I went to place the package in the drop box I noticed the door to it was opened. I return to the line and asked the same employee if she could take the package due to the door being opened. She rudely said you can just place it here, pointing to the counter. She never once made eye contact with me. I am appalled at the customer service and would recommend to avoid this place! read more

I need to print some portfolios to apply to graduate school. I went to this FedEx because I saw its consistent positive reviews. But my experience is not really that positive. First of all, the staff weren't really helpful if you need a bit of suggestion on graphic design. I needed some suggestion on margins and bleeds for cutting and binding, but they were not able to give any. Besides, they were running out of binding samples so I really had to make a decision based on guessing what things would look like. If you have a final product with very certain ideas in mind, you might be ok with going -- just pick you paper, and you'll be done in half an hour. But if you are a student, or anyone who is not super professional in graphic design, and you're hoping to get suggestions from them because they "have a lot of experience with printing and cutting", you should go somewhere else. Second, printing. Even if we are only talking about printing and cutting, which should be what they are actually good at, I was very disappointed. The print quality was just OK, but they didn't cut all the edges consistently, and a lot of them have rough edges. And the binding -- I could even see the glue from the outside. So my portfolio looked just like a little booklet that was made by a 9th-grader in a crafts class. Third, shipping. The staff at the shipping counter could not tell me the difference between Ground and Express, and he was looking at the screen telling me options of "2 days", "3 days" and so on, and wasn't able to say for sure whether those where calendar days or business days. We were in a rush, so she got our info, and packed it up after we left. We received an invoice and tracking notice shortly afterwards. Would highly recommend this FedEx store. I feel bad because i lost the ticket with the survey information on it so I'm yelping instead. After Walmart let me down, I came here with a request to have a memorial photo done for a military service that was starting in two hours and was probably 45 minutes away from the location. The woman who helped me was so nice and helpful and helped me figure out the size and dimensions I needed. She thanked me for my service and gave her condolences several times. She also finished it with a gloss free of charge. They worked so efficiently, i was able to make it to the service in time to set up. It looked really professional and the family was grateful. Unfortunately, i don't remember the names of either of the ladies who worked on it. read more

He didn't ask what time we wanted the item to be shipped or any important details that should be discussed and every question was answered with a rude snarky comment or an eye roll. Whatever you might have heard about Kinko's customer service on the whole, I highly recommend coming to this one. I am a graphic artist and frequently need my works printed at top notch quality for sale at various conventions, and I swear, I will never go anywhere else for my printing needs. The sales staff at this Kinko's in particular are top notch. They are understanding, knowledgeable and prompt in getting the job done, and they always greet me with a smile. What's more, my work always comes out looking absolutely wonderful with the colours on pointe and the linework crisp and clean. I have never had a bad job from this place. There was one instance where I was printing a comic book which they kindly offered to bind and staple for me. All of the pages were in order and printed beautifully, but the cover was reversed. They very courteously and swiftly resolved the matter and I received a discount on the final product for my trouble. They will always make sure I come away happy with my purchases and my experience. I had the option of having my prints done for a dramatically lower price at the print shop at my friend's university, but my experience with that simply did not compare. They got a huge order of mine all wrong and were quite rude when I asked that they rectify the matter. It was disastrous. Suffice it to say, I am very happy to come to this Kinko's instead, even if it means paying more. The friendly staff, quality of the product, convenience and fast service make it totally worth it, and a pleasant experience all round. This place is the example of bad customer service. Walked in to the empty lobby at 4:16. After 8 minutes of yelling hello. Some one walks out if the back with blood shot eyes like we just woke her up. 1st thing she asked was if we had a shipping label on our box. I planned on saying "No because I have an email with a link to a prepaid shipping document. But before I could finish I was very rudly cutoff by the employee saying "we can't help you, we don't do that." I just stood there looking at her. After a couple of seconds she said we have to go to a fedex office to do that, the closest one is 8.1 miles away. you better done your research online before go there. the staff think they know everything but they actually dont know any better I try to ship something to HK, i found on their website there is a 25KG flag rate box so i want to get that since its cheaper. before i go there i called n ask about the flat rate box they said I have to actually go to the store n check the price. When i got there n ask them for the flat rate box they look clueless, instead of the box I want they gave me something different which is the 20x20x20 with 30Ibs limit and for the shipping is almost $600 compare to what i check online for the flat rate, $200. On top of that, the staff, John, was rushing me to pay for the box before I can make everything clear because normally it should include the box. At the end, we have to go online and show the website about the flat rate box to John and he has no idea what I am talking about n ask the manager to talk to me. the manager told me that they dont do flat rate at this location. I needed some workbooks printed up so I walked into this FedEx location to have them done. It seemed pretty busy at the time, but I was taken care of quickly by an employee named Tenly. As we were working, I realized the Internet connection in there was VERY slow, which didn't make sense to me seeing as though so much of their business is done relying on the Internet! Other customers were getting very irritated by this situation as well, and another employee expressed his annoyance with the problem. Despite this, Tenly was patient, friendly, and efficient with my order and I left with very nicely done workbooks. I would give Tenly five stars for her great customer service, and the fedex three stars for their terrible internet connection, thus my four star rating! read more

I shipped an Apple monitor, packed by a FedEx employee, and it arrived cracked. I declared a value of $400 and my claim had been denied twice. On 05/23/16 I shipped a Apple monitor (in perfect condition) from Annapolis, MD to Athens, GA. I brought the monitor the a FedEx location in Annapolis and they packaged the monitor for me, using their own shipping materials and box. I had nothing to do with the packing process. I declared a value of $400 as an estimate. The monitor was purchased for $1000 but it was a few years old, so I made a quick estimate. I paid $55.46 for shipping and was given tracking number of 783181021710. The package arrived in Athens, GA. Upon opening the package I discovered that the monitor was cracked. The crack stemmed from the corner of the monitor indicating that it must have been dropped and the impact caused a dent in the metal edge and left a huge crack in the screen. I contacted customer service and was given the procedure to file a claim and a claim number #0525649513. I was then told I would receive an email with the paperwork to fill out. The email never came. So I called again and then received the paperwork. I filled the paperwork out, included all necessary photos of the packaging, outside of box, and damaged monitor. I received a letter in the mail saying my claim bad been denied. So, I called again and spoke with someone at the claims department who told me that my claim would be reviewed again. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing, so I called again. This time they told me that no one had looked at the claim since the last time I had called but someone would look again now. They told me the claim had been denied because the "outside of the box did not show evidence of being mishandled". I took another look at the box, this time turning it over and found an indentation on the bottom and corner indicating where it might show evidence of where it had been dropped. So, I sent in theses photos, and again received a letter saying my claim was denied. At this point I am very angry. I took my monitor to be packed at FedEx because I wanted to ensure its safe arrival. It is now in unusable condition. If FedEx is saying they are not responsible I want to know who is? I dropped of the monitor undamaged, in perfect condition and it arrived broken and useless to me. This monitor cost me $1000 to purchase and I have been told by a repair store that it will cost me close to purchase price of $1000 to fix it, based on the cost of the glass and labor charges. FedEx has not even refunded me the shipping price. This is completely unacceptable, what is the point of writing down a declared value if FedEx will not even honor it when your product arrives damaged. How could this possibly be my fault, the last time I touched the product it was undamaged but when received from FedEx it is unusable. If they think the outside of the box does not look damaged enough, is it not fair enough to conclude that it was not adequately packaged by the FedEx employee? I feel completely taken advantage of and like their whole claims department is a scam. FedEx needs to own up to damaged inflicted by their shipping process, otherwise how can people trust that their packages will arrive safely. It is unacceptable for normal practice to include delivering damaged goods and then refusing to pay the declared value and refund shipping. I have posted this review on Better Business Bureau because I cannot believe this experience I have had and will post it here for everyone to know that FedEx will refuse to honor any value you declare, even if your product does arrive broken.
