Seems that they still have some computers in the back. Prices are typical and since my significant other has corporate discount it's a great value . I haven't been here for a while, and I'm glad to say that things have not changed. They're just as amazing as I remember it. This time I was helped by a gentleman by the name of Geoffrey. He was so courteous and helpful and when he realized that I've been there a few few times he introduced himself and shook my hand. As always, the service is impeccable, the place is clean, and just as I said in my previous review because I used to manage retail spaces every time I interact with the employees, I wonder who is hiring and training and maintaining these employees because of such an elevated level of superior service. We needed our passports expedited because our passports expire 3 weeks after our trip. Better safe than sorry. Rich assisted us with getting our passport photos taken and making sure our documents and passports get to where they needed. (We had all our paperwork filled out prior to our arrival.) Located on Ocean Avenue in downtown Long Beach, this full service FedEx office provides the customary printing and copying one would expect, along with the ability to pick-up deliveries. Unlike USPS, UPS, or even Amazon deliveries, products shipped by FedEx seem to often end up back in their nearest FedEx center, making the customer pick them up. FedEx is very good at providing emails and texts to track the delivery, and making changes to it...but more than once, I've been home and wasn't notified the delivery driver was waiting to drop it off. This is what happened for a heavy delivery, but did get a quick email stating that I could pick it up (with proper picture ID) at this nearby office. This office is open 7 days a week, and has quick changing metered parking out in front. So while my wife waited outside, I ran into the office, waited a bit, identified myself and got the big package in a reasonable amount of time. The agent I was working with, was pleasant enough. Had to give signatures a couple of times...everything is tracked pretty closely...don't ever see them drop off something haphazardly...if you are shipping something really important, FedEx seems to be trying to distinguish themselves as that elite carrier that can do that. read more

Some times in life you are met with the bare minimum and sometimes in life people go above and beyond. When I walked in to scan/print some documents for a Civil case I stumbled upon a customer at the front counter who immediately began to have a seizure. The store manager literally caught the man before he fell and administered all of the necessary aid to assist the customer while other members in the store called out for medical assistance. The Fire Department arrived within 5 minutes and the customer was safely carted off to the hospital. 20 minutes later and I have gotten all of my documents printed/scanned and even had time to write this review which took up the majority of my time. Also the manager comped my print/scan order. In 15 minutes they had the store flowing and operating like normal, minus the untimely health scare by the customer. What more can you ask for from your local FedEx? read more

20 minutes after I was told they would help me, I still wasn't helped at all. I needed help with large prints. The machine took $6.00 without giving me a print, and rather than risking more money lost and still getting no help, I just left. Needed urgent business cards before a big conference nearby. This facility provided great information on the phone and when I went in, Will took amazing care of what I needed. He explained all options, was very concerned about quality and understood the urgency. He not only met all my needs but also did so at a great price. I'm only writing this review because of Will and Mark. They cared so much to help me through a horrible experience that I needed to acknowledge them! I've been coming to this store for many years so I remember how efficient it was to log in to a computer, complete a task and log off when you were done, even save a document to the desktop for safety. This new way of charging me before hand and shutting down on the customer, without the ability to add more time is strange at best, at worst, it just feels like a way to take more money from the customer and its inefficient! as a consumer, none of the products offered has changed for the better, I feel rushed and taken advantage of but again the customer service SAVED the day..I very appreciate those two guys for caring so much! read more

I was pleased with the organized, clean, open air design of this FedEx office. From the outside street view you cannot grasp the space and size of this particular location. I was pleased by the friendly staff everyone was extremely friendly and nice . Earlier in the day I spoke to a store representative his name was Diego, friendly and courteous over the phone. As I phoned to as if their shredding ben was full because I had a lot of papers to have them shred. Diego reported the company just emptied it today and I was welcomed to come by. I loved the fact that they had more that 3 dedicated copiers to that was self serve you just need a debit or credit card. You can also use a usb of your documents was on your usb drive and you need to make copies. They had 2 fax machines which were also self service with the use of your debit or credit card. I had about 3 pounds of junk mail that I needed to shred, Robert one of the friendly staff help, I only dumped my contents in the Ben he provided . read more

I had a la haga with a return label from a vendor, this location tried to charge me for re packaging... the box was the same box that FedEx delivered to me in a day earlier and packaged the same way it came to me. I scheduled a FedEx pick up, and the diver came picked up and left, didn't say a single thing about needing to re package. They're Ridiculous! read more

this is a fed ex place but they can't help with fed ex related issues when your package won't be delivered. I received a few notifications from FedEx that they couldn't deliver a package. None of the notifications had a working tracking number. If you call FedEx, you can't access anyone without a tracking number. So I connected with this location. They at least were able to connect me with someone who could look into my package. I appreciated the honesty, however, FedEx ground service does not deliver to residential areas for personal safety. I explained that I had tried to leave several messages to the delivery person, leaving my phone number and code access to open the gate. I even requested the package to be left for pick up at this location. The FedEx rep assured me that because ground service is the cheaper version. They don't keep track of where my package is and I can't request to have it picked up. Rest assured - if I have to order from a company and they use FedEx to deliver - OH HELL NO! read more

Lazy and recalcitrant. my first issue is not a store issue. My initial issue is that they make me pay five dollars for printout that cost like 2.24. The first page of the document was cut off by the printer. They tried to say that it was an issue with my formatting when I am in school for computer science. I think I know how to export a PDF. But instead of giving good customer service and attempting to reprint it, she wants to blame me. (I'm sure the FedEx Retail worker knows better right) Save yourself the pain and drive to the one on Palo Verde or better yet. Just get out of Los Angeles and go to Orange County if you want any service for anything. All I wanted was a single attempt at reprinting to see if I could recreate the issue. I am in here to send a few items out, this location is very slow right now and the Service is horrible. The guy at the packing plus counter has a very bad attitude and doesn't want to help at all. Had a package delivered from this location and the package was open before delivery with nothing inside I went to try and file a report and they just gave me a customer phone number. I asked for the manager since I saw that the delivery guy worked in that location and was told the manager was out. This is in the downtown Long Beach area so if you have a missing package you should report it to their headquarters because they will deny even if you have proof of the package being taken. At this point I would not want to do any business with this company. read more
