Walked in at around 5:54 on a Sunday evening. I thought the place closed at 7:00 pm, turns out they close at 6! I was looking to have a couple of balloons filled for my son's bday tmrw... I walked in and was automatically told that they would be closing in 5 mins. ( I hate being that guy). I asked if I would be able to get 6 of my balloons filled, Rene told me he would be able to do 2! Great! I'll take what I can get. In the end he filled up all 6 of the balloons for me. I went in to use the self service printer today, I loaded up my documents through email with no problem (I've done this so many times before.) When I went to ask Curtis where I could load the cardstock that I bought because I had forgot, he said I couldn't do it. I explained to him that I've done it before & Staples is where I even bought the pack of cardstock to do it in the first place and he said I couldn't load my own cardstock into the machine and continued his work on his computer. He Offered no help or alternative. Left to the Office Depot in Signal Hill as they have the exact same self-service system AND will let you know where you can load your own cardstock if you ask for help. Wasted my time and will no longer consider this my place for my business. read more

Isis did our passport photos. I didnt see the photos in the little book she handed us, and Isis was rude and acted like she was too busy to show me. I didnt complain because I was in a hurry. Then the post office rejected the photos saying the image is too large, so they had to be re-shot. I need a refund. Isis needs to be re-trained on all parts of this. read more

Stopped in to get photos copied. This place is understaffed, but the gentleman working the desk is a great multitasker. It did take a while to be serviced. but he was busy, so I totally understand. Maybe I'm just feeling grumpy, but I do believe people today have absolutely no business sense. I just got done making two copies of a document at Staples. The document was 252 pages long, so a total of 504 pages. It cost me $178.21, and that was self-serve. I went to the counter afterwards and asked if I could have a single sheet of colored paper to keep separate my two copies, as well as a box to transport the copy job back to my office. The Staples employee said, "We don't just give away paper here." I responded, "I just spent over $178 on photocopying and Staples can't afford a single sheet of colored paper?" The Staples employee then got out two bags and asked if that would do. I looked at the size of my copying job and asked him if he thought it would fit in bags. He just walked away. Another Staples employee then came over. She didn't say anything, but got out two boxes. Never offered a single sheet of colored paper, but the two copies did fit in the two boxes. Am I wrong to think a large company like Staples should be able to afford a single sheet of colored paper when I spend over $178 on photocopying? The company offers no assistance with the actual photocopying, and even the receipt is electronically generated. I hardly call this "customer service." read more

Don't take passport photos here. They treat you horribly, the guy helping was in a horrible attitude. He walked past us, didn't speak, just typed in his little computer grabbed his camera and stared at us. I was so uncomfortable. I hated the photo and they treated me like a second banana and threw a fit when I wanted to retake it. I think if you're going to offer a passport photo option you need to give your customer the option to look at the photo they are paying for. The amount of don't give a fucks the employees have is wild. read more

Under a time crunch I came here needing one copy and two pages laminated. After waiting for around 15 minutes for the sales associate to finish helping the one customer in front of me, I explained what I needed and she walked over to the copy machine with my paper to make the copy. Before she could shut the lid the store manager came by and instructed her to stop and start working on existing orders. She reluctantly came back to the counter and apologetically told me she wouldn't be able to do the 3 minute job now, but I would have to come back later. At this point I called the manager over and asked her why she stopped her employee from completing my 3 minute job, She informed me that's the policy when there are pending jobs to do. I informed her that she could learn something from her employee about customer service and I had neither the time nor the inclination to come back again. I will never patronize this Staples location again and I live right up the street from it. Congrats you've lost a decades long customer because of your Manager's poor customer service skills. It's unfortunate because I've always found everyone else here to be friendly and accommodating. I hope someone at Staples corporate reads this and reexamines the criteria for someone to rise to the level of manager. read more

Staff is usually very professional. However, there is one employee that is very consistent with low performance. Rudolfo has a very deep voice and a very stone faced presence. No expression, no smiles, no friendly gestures ever. When I attempt to break the ice with a kind gesture or comment, the blank stare remains, and he deliberately will not engage. Having the personality of a rock is one's prerogative. However, this type personality has no place in service. I encourage Staples to work harder at training, monitoring and ensuring that all employees are working on the same service ethic. Secretly shopping employees is a very good idea. Because the saying is true... One bad Apple can spoil the entire bunch. read more

The staff member helped my wife put the chair together and she surprise me with it for Christmas. And I'm able to get in and get out whenever I need to print more documents than the capacity of my home printer. And the last benefit is, if you use Canva, they are one of the Canva pick up locations. And the print services team is super helpful. I've been coming here for Amazon drop off lately. It's the closest for me, so yes it's my choice. So what I like is that no one is in line when I arrive. What I don't like is every time I come I see 2-3 employees with one customer at the checkout register. I stand there and stand there , they act like they don't see me. Then one of those employees will say to me. Someone will be with you after he walks away instead of helping me. I don't appreciate being ignored . I understand sometimes you run into some issues. However I find it rude to ignore someone and then after a while that same individual ended up helping me anyway. This needs to improve! read more

I am unable to print anything because I don't have a debit card, and this company requires one to use their printers. The print only costs ten cents, yet they won't allow me to pay directly in cash. This policy feels like a form of classism, favoring those with certain financial resources while excluding others. The overall quality of this place has declined, and the environment reflects that. I walked into to make my Amazon return as I was wiping my feet on the carpet on this rainy day the guy at the counter for the Amazon returns looked over to me as I was walking in. I started making my way to the Amazon returns area and he walks over to his sign and turns it around from open to close and the sign says closed for lunch from o1 to 3 PM . I asked the guy if he would make an exception for me because I literally just saw him turn the sign as I'm making my way to the counter and he says no I'm closed. Really bad customer service, especially if you see me making my way to the counter for the Amazon return with the packages in hand and you go and you turn the sign. I signed up with their Ipostal mail box. They never gave me a way to check if I was getting mail delivered. They started charging me for mail that was left there every 3-4 days with zero emails or phone calls or texts. They said I should be getting notifications on the app that they neveretioned or set up a user name or password that I don't have. The manager was not helpful and said I need to contact Ipostal which I've been calling for weeks now with no actual response or representative to talk to. I was a Costco shopper and I went into the Staples last year and the gentleman was so lovely and the gentleman manager as well that they won my business for all of my printer cartridges and everything else since! The value is very good and the price is comparative to other retail stores for the same items. What makes the difference is the good service that I've gotten!! The Printing center here is terrifc, from Ysenia, Eddie, Isis and the rest of the staff. This department always deliver my best prints. As someone who runs a movie production office, I've printed out dozens of 8 x 11s, Tabloid size flyers, Poster boards, and 2 large 24 x 36 posters that both looked solid - one of large ones were captured just on a IPhone 14. They also went the extra mile recently finalizing the best settings on my buisness cards. Furthermore, the staff takes their time to listen to your questions and depending on the project, may advise you on the best settings to edit at-home before bringing it in. This is for the service by young lady who works at the print shop on Monday, January 29, 2024. I came in because when I went to do my print order on their website the website suggested that I utilize the email feature to email the documents to Stapleswhere I could then go to any of their printers and print the documents off and pay for them. That seems like a simpler solution so I chose that. I had with me cash and my Apple Pay but not my wallet as my wallet has gone missing and I cannot find my physical cards. She told me that their store will no longer take cash or Apple Pay and will only accept physical cards unless I want to do a print order, something I could've done hours ago when I first access their website, but at this point it would not be ready till tomorrow which is too late to get the legal documents that I need. She did not care how much this was hurting my life and how bad this was affecting me, these are legal documents that I need to get printed for tomorrow, as far as she is concerned it's not her problem and she doesn't have to find way to help me I do not trust any business that does not accept cash payments, and would not recommend this business to any person there used to be a Staples close to my house that was really great, but that closed and now we have this piece of crap I have to drive 20 minutes One Direction to get to due to traffic in the area read more

Came in to print out some super important documents that I needed to mail out. All the employess were wearing mask and made sure that we were social distancing. All the employees greeted us along the way. They store was clean and fully stocked. I had to email Staples my documents then you get a confirmation barcode to scan at the printers. Well it wasn't working for me. Jj suggested I go outside and then email it again because sometimes it doesn't work. So I did....well it still didn't work. ‍ So I emailed it to a friend that was with me and he emailed it to Staples. Well he got a confirmation code like in 10 secs. ‍ Ok whatever. We go to the printer, scan the code, swipe my card and only 3 pages of a receipt (I think)printed. That's not what I needed 3 copies off. Ughhhhhhh!!!! At this point I was super annyoed. I went over to Jj and told him what had happened and he stopped what he was doing and helped me, jokingly said that "it was just not my day!" Finally he got my documents printed (all three copies) and on super nice paper by the way. His customer service is amazing, he's kind and polite and went above and beyond to make sure I got everything I came for. Today around 1pm I Called this store to ask for help with finding the right ink for my printer. When I called, the gentleman seemed annoyed (I didn't get his name) I asked him if he can hold the correct ink for me at the counter becuase I was worried i would grab the wrong item. He snapped at me " NO! It's on aisle 9." I was shocked and said thank you for your time. I came in and Steven and Christian were VERY helpful in explaining to me the differences between the ink sizes and packages. I came into this Staples location to print seven copies of incredibly important documents. I was immediately instructed to use one of the copy machines myself and after spending $23 I thought I had done it correctly but I had printed several out of order one sided copies of nonsense. I went to the counter and was BLESSED with Regina! I explained my situation to Regina and was honestly incredibly emotional and she was able to get me all of my copies efficiently and exactly how I wanted them. She had help from a Yusenya who was also lovely. If it wasn't for these two amazingly helpful and understanding women I do not know how much time and tears or money I would have wasted in this parking lot. This is my one stop shop for all my computer and writing needs. A neighborhood store that I've frequented for years and have been a loyal customer since the day they opened. It's a clean and large well stocked store packed with everything you need and has amazing staff who are ready and able to find and order anything you desire if it's not available in store. In this store. I almost always head over for the computer paper steno pads and office supplies not available at my local UPS store. Today's visit. I'm in need of a Norton anti virus and a USB cable and they have so much to choose from. Unfortunately I have sooo many pictures and videos and I need one with way more gb so I'll exchange the one I bought for one with more memory. The norton antivirus came with a $20 rebate that was a plus. ....... I'm also looking for a sturdy entertainment table and I have a few that I have my eye on so I brought a pic of one I like and they are trying to find one similar for me. Candy At the register this bad gal grabbed a bag of chocolate covered pretzels yuup they have candy and snacks that I don't need right next to the register.
