A scam express delivery service. I purchased 2day express shipping on a Friday. The package was delivered after 4 pm Wednesday. My friend had to go outside her house and walk up to an unknown man walking in front of a neighbor's house and ask if he had a package for [her name]. Guy goes to his unmarked van, parked away from friend's house, and grabs the package from the front passenger seat. Friend asks: So if I hadn't come out of my house, you would have left and I would not have received the package? He scoffed: Yeh, I guess. Many calls looking for the package to the 800 number in Central America were useless. No customer service person could contact a local Fed Ex to help locate the package's whereabouts other than to say on a delivery truck. Stressful experience. Fed Ex charges you for a service you will never receive knowing you will not complain and follow through on your complaints and continue to keep calling back. Disgusting business. read more

I was surprised to see how many homeless people hang out here in the evening. At first, I was a little bit on edge. I wasn't sure if these men were supposed to be here and the back area with all of the computer stations is rather isolated. But then I realized they were all regulars. I guess the manager here looks out for a handful of them in the evening to get them out of the cold. While I respect that, I definitely caught me off guard. There were also a handful of other shady characters that came in to use the bathroom, and spent some serious quality time in there. The young woman who helped me sort and cut my documents here was so helpful though. She went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of and to save me time. I'm not sure what this place is like like during daylight hours, but between 8pm-11pm, it was a little sketchy. However, I had the feeling that the staff that worked in the store really held each other down. My service was great, but the overall environment and atmosphere was just a bit to uncomfortable for me without a wing man. read more

Pretty good experience overall with a simple printing services job. Just needed to get something bound with a clear cover/black backing, and this store was able to help me out pretty easily. Easily would have given 5 stars for the evening shift when I dropped off near closing time - full of energy and so pleasant. Assured me it would be ready for pick up first thing in the AM. Returned mid morning and my order was indeed ready (nicely packaged) but the staff had trouble finding it even thought it was sitting right on back counter. I received really terrific customer service from Samantha at this store. It was right before a major event in DC, and this store was prepared to an impressive degree. They knew exactly what the requirements were for protest signs at the big event, and they helpfully cut down signs so they would be compliant. We had a $3k printing project sent to this center and they probably only completed 1/4 of it correctly. There is a complete lack of communication at this location and I was met with a rude attitude every step of the way. Let me just outline some of the issues we encountered. 1. Certain print jobs were missing information they needed so they just didn't print them without any sort of communication. Sent us only some of the project without any information on what was missing. They claimed they delivered the order in full. 2. Repeatedly gave us incorrect shipping information so many of our shipments came late or we were required to come by and pick them up because they were not done in time. One shipment, they even addressed and had delivered TO THEMSELVES. 3. Printed and delivered 2000+ pages of the project that had already been printed and delivered instead of something we needed that morning. 4. When I called to complain and correct the missing project(s) I was met with an extremely rude individual who kept telling me she was unable to help me in the timeline I needed (3 hours). Refused to help me in any way. I must have called them 15+ times during the week of our meetings and received over 7 shipments throughout the week when really I should have received them all that Monday. We ended up getting the majority of our project printed at another location where everything was completed quickly and without attitude. I'm mad I wasted as much time as I did with this location. Please, learn from my mistakes and go somewhere else if you have a large or important print job on (any) timeline. read more

Went on a weekend (Saturday) They had one employee that was serving 4 people. long wait and not proper management. until this other employee showed up and handled all returns. The Fedex guy just served one and was packing his stuff, for real... you can do the packing later and handle other customers. Don't drive there, really hard to find parking. Not a drop -off kind of place. Time-consuming. Needs better planning and motivated employees. read more

Such a boring business to review, but the service was so outstanding that I'm making it my first ever Washington DC Yelp review. The young woman at the counter was incredibly nice and very helpful. She checked in with everyone around the print center every ten minutes or so to make sure everything was working for them, and answered one customer's numerous questions patiently and politely. Been to a lot of print shops over the years, but this is hands down the worst. Completely messed up my order for two different signs -- (reversed the sizes despite clear, written instructions) -- when I pointed this out, the guy at the counter said he'd need time to fix it. I asked how much and said, "at least 30 minutes." So we agreed I'd come back in two hours (right before the event I needed them for). When I got back in just over 2 hours, nothing was done -- they were literally still sitting where he left them two hours earlier. When I complained he claimed to the manager that I had only given "like 10 minutes." I pointed out that was not true. So too late to go anywhere else, I was told to either pay the full price for the wrong size signs or leave with nothing. Ended up taking the signs because I needed something. But there was no discount and no apology, and a smug guy grinning at me because he got away with lying. To summarize. Messed up order, unethical and rude behavior, over-priced junk. There are lots of printers in DC, practically one on every block; do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. These guys have seen the last of my business. read more

I was wow'd by the service here. I was about to place an order for pickup in one or two hours so I called to see what the turnaround time was. Less than an hour. AND the person gave their name (Adrianna, you rock!!!) I placed an order online, bicycled over to pick it up, and it was ready. I don't know how you could ask for more? The store was clean, the people were nice, the service was stellar. And I got my job done in record time. To the reviewer who complained about homeless people, hey man, it was the weekend so I wasn't going to put on my tuxedo to pick up some printouts! I've used this location a few times to print tickets and Groupons to use nearby. Like any FedExKinko's, there's always a couple of stations that are out of service so sometimes you have to wait a few minutes. I usually end up spending $3 or $4 for the convenience, which isn't so terrible. This makes me sound like the horrible person that I am but I really wish they had dispensers with disinfecting wipes like gyms have. A lot of homeless people hang out here to get warm and they often sit at the computer stations since that's really the only place to sit. It's nice they're allowed to get off the streets for a bit but I always feel like I need to take a hot shower with industrial soap after being here. read more

I AGREE WITH NOELLE! This place is completely incompetent and unprofessional. I went in on a Saturday early afternoon to ship a return with a RMA. The sole employee with no personality barely acknowledged me when I walked in although nobody was around. After I explained what I needed, I waited 15 minutes watching her go from one computer to another, keying from guides, and then making a phone call. Finally, this cretin says that the RMA is from the "old" system and they are on the new system. I knew this was BS, and asked her if there was anything she can do to help me. She said no, so I was stuck downtown carrying around a package all afternoon. I later called FedEx Customer Service. They were not helpful. They said the location manager will call me later, like that helps me. I never received a call back. A few days later I called that location and the manager said that if I bring back the package he'd send it. Not helpful to me at the time. I later went to the 2020 K St location a few weeks later, and they were much better. I guess I better check reviews and not assume every location is equally good (or bad). read more

Very arrogant, unhelpful guy working there tonight (2/12/2015). Newsflash, buddy: with that attitude, you'll likely never make it beyond being paid to stand there and breath behind the counter of a FedEx Kinko's at 9 p.m. I politely tried to tell him that one of the computers was not sending print jobs properly, and had literally given me an error message. He started walking briskly around the store as if to avoid me, and just shrugged and said, "well, there's just so many things that can cause that," like it's my fault,as he was practically running around the store. I'm patient enough to listen to excuses, but I'd like you to DO something about it. Also, it wasn't like they were busy and there was a lot to do, so why was he nearly running? Another computer sent the print job just fine, so it turns out I know how to send print jobs from FedEx computers. I told him I wasn't going to ask for my dollar back, and again, he shrugged again and said, "sure." I said it wasn't worth the aggravation of trying to get it back from FedEx, but really it was the aggravation of trying to get it back from him. I wouldn't have cared had the service been better. From the other reviews, it appears there are some good employees there, or at least there have been in the past. This guy, well...there's always the two supremely craptastic McDonald's in the area. I placed a print order online and requested to pick up from this location the next day. My order was ready and waiting for me when I arrived to the store and the print quality of my order was good. I needed to trim some excess white space from the prints, so went to there self-serve area to use their paper cutter. I've never had a good experience at this type of place, so I was nervous about my order and was prepared to do damage control as usually happens when I go to a fedex kinkos, office depot, etc. I only go to get things duplicated/printed for large meeting etc, so it's important everything comes out right and on time. they did a perfect job. and, the service was above and beyond. i submitted my order online and they called to confirm everything within the hour - much appreciated. when i picked up, i had a large heavy box of items to carry and the guy working insisted on hailing me a cab and carrying the box out to the cab for me. unexpected and amazing. such a relief to not have to worry and fix mistakes last minute etc. read more

I had a package today that was to be returned, 47 inches square, the return shipment paid for by the company. I got first a quote to package this at $175! (less than what I paid for the item!) after the 20% cut when I mentioned this is was $140 for putting bubble wrap and cardboard around it. Salesman was really nice, but, TOTAL RIP OFF. UPS is much cheaper on this, or if it is large like this go to a bike store and ask for larger cardboard. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN, Rip off. read more

The review is about this office and FedEx in general. I did an online re-delivery request for an envelope I was to receive the same day. The online request went through for re-delivery to a FedEx office closer to my workplace. I even received a confirmation email when it was "delivered" to this location. Upon going there, the person looked for the package and said it wasn't there. I showed him my confirmation email and when he looked up the tracking number found that it had been delivered to the original address - even thought the email confirmed it had come to the FedEx office. He informed me that it takes 24 hours to do a change. Not his fault, certainly, but when I told him nothing had come up when I made the change stating this, he just kept saying that I needed to have done it 24 hours prior - like it was my fault for not knowing. I called the FedEx 800 number and got the same response about I should have done it sooner. I asked to speak to a manager and was forwarded to a customer advocate person who finally apologized and asked how the situation could be made better. I couldn't believe it! I had to tell them what should have been said both at the FedEsx office and at the 800 number - recommend to management to do a simple IT change that would notify customers if there wasn't enough time to make such a change.
