Tracking system is close to useless, as you only get updates for packages leaving or arriving at facilities and there's no indication for delays on arrival time. Similarly, calling the customer service for updates won't get you any answers better than what the tracking system can tell you. read more

My genealogist sent this material back to me with a signature required. Unfortunately she failed to insure it for the priceless value it had for me. Federal Express are such losers. Wow. I had the worst experience ever dealing with Fedex as a whole. Every single customer service person I spoke with told me something different when I was on the phone with them. I had been waiting for my engagement ring to be sent back to me after the jeweler resized it, so you can imagine how anxious I was to get my ring back on my hand. It was guaranteed to be delivered by 3pm yesterday. I was tracking it online and it said that it was at the Menlo Park facility by 12pm. Come 2:50pm, I called and asked about the status of the package since the online tracking had not been updated. The lady on the phone told me that it will be late, but it is en route. 4:30pm rolls around, still no sign of the ring, so I call again. This time, the guy on the phone tells me that I can't pick it up and I'd have to wait till tomorrow to get it. I was pretty furious at this point, so I asked to speak with somebody else. Another person gets on the phone and tells me that there's nothing they can do, I can't go and pick it up myself and that I would have to wait until tomorrow. It was getting just ridiculous. Why would I not be able to pick it up if it's sitting there at the facility?? So I ask her to call the Menlo Park, where my ring was. She calls me back and tells me that they said it was available for pick-up...WTF? So I make my way there after work, excited, as I weave through traffic to pick up the ring. I get there and the guy, without even looking at me as he spoke, told me that "I'm sorry, the ring is not available for pick up. It's sitting in a large container with 500+ packages and we can't get it out till tomorrow." At this point, I was ready to punch somebody in the face... I ask to speak with the manager. After waiting about 10 minutes, the manager comes out and sees how frustrated I am (I had started tearing-up) and asks me how he can help me and if he can give me a Kleenex. I tell him the story as he enters my tracking number into the system. He tells me to hold on as he sees what he can do. He walks to the back and emerges only 10 seconds later, with package in hand.... *sigh... So what the heck was everybody else telling me...???? It really shouldn't have been that difficult... Anyway, the only reason why there is even a star here, is for the manager (I think his name is Doug). I would give him 5 stars if I could, but I don't want to because of the incompetence of the other guy that I was dealing with. I will never have any packages shipped in the vicinity of this facility. If I could give a negative 50 that would be too high. DO NOT USE FED. EX TO SHIP TO MEXICO. I paid $50.00 for a package to be delivered and it never got there. I called the call center at least ten times. Everyone is very polite and very sorry, but NO ONE FOLLOWS THROUGH ON ANYTHING. My package was promised for May 5 and it is now May 24. This one star is directed towards the driver that loaded my Priority Overnight package onto the truck at noon, and decided to quit by five o'clock without delivering it. I live on a major state highway that is literally two turns from the Menlo Park facility. His excuse? "I couldn't find the address": at least that's what he put into the system before skiving off to the bar. That seemed odd, as we had received a FedEx package the very same morning, and our address appears in every map program correctly... and is not the most complicated of locations to find in any case (XXXX some MAJOR STATE HIGHWAY). This is unprofessional, and unacceptable. I made a stink about this on the phone (Priority Overnight is not cheap) and eventually talked to a supervisor (who was helpful and confirmed that the address is indeed in their computers and easy to find, and that my package was back at the Menlo Park facility at 5:00), and made sure an official complaint was lodged on the driver's record. He had bee-lined back to the office after four-hour delivery run. I know, it must be unpleasant to drive a truck around, but that's why they pay you. IT'S YOUR JOB. Our UPS guy has made deliveries up to 7:30 P.M., and is friendly and courteous to boot, and the other FedEx drivers in our area seem to find us, so I know it's probably just a case of one bad driver who happens to work from the Menlo Park facility, but he's not listed... So one star for making me drive twenty miles round trip to your facility because your driver was too incompetent or too lazy to do his job. read more

Paid a high price to get an expensive piece shipped to my home. I get an email the morning of the delivery, that they attempted to deliver but no one was home. Everyone was home, and no doorbell or knock was heard, nor a tag left behind. Phone calls are pretty useless since they make promises they can't keep. They said they would attempt another delivery at 2 pm that same day. Come 7 pm, no one came and now I'm worried that my package is lost somewhere. read more

I got a message saying my package had been delivered while I was at home, went out to check- nada. Contacted Fed Ex with the issue, driver swore she left package at front door. Checked all security cameras, no fed ex driver in sight. Manager called back saying the driver will be going back to confirm delivery, and wha-laa; knock at my door, I run outside to catch her and she apologized saying she had left my package at an incorrect house on another street. Ummm. You're the driver for this route, and on numerous occasions you've dropped off my packages. Funny how drivers see a familiar logo on the packaging and automatically try to "come up" when no signature is required. Especially those independent contractors. SMDH. read more

My experience at this Fed Ex center exceeded my expectations. Driving inhere was clear signage directing me to customer parking. A cart was available outside the front door for me to bring in my 4 sizable boxes. The rep on duty was super helpful and friendly. I didn't know how I'd ship my son's longboard (to college in AZ). She went into the back room and came back with the perfect box - no charge! Best of all I only had to fill out one form (for the 5 pieces). Based on this experience, Fed Ex goes to the top of my list for future shipments to my son in Arizona. read more

I ordered something from Amazon & the stupid seller required signature release even though it was a $30 thing...its not like I ordered hundreds of dollars of electronics. So, so, so annoying. The whole point of ordering from Amazon is so you don't have to spend any time going somewhere to pick something up! Anyway, so FedEx of course attempted to deliver my package at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, at 1:30 pm on Thursday, and at 1:30 pm on Friday and shocker, I was not home at any of those times because I was at work. I tried to get them to come back & deliver it again on the weekend, but they wouldn't. Apparently it costs extra for weekend delivery & my stupid sender didn't pay for that. So today I had to come here to get my package. It's pretty far out of the way for me and kind of in a remote location but I suppose its convenient for some people, being right off 101. Other than the fact that its far away, my experience was fine. My package was here, there was no line to speak of, & I was in & out of there in 5 minutes. I still don't understand why they think 1:30 on a weekday is a good time to deliver a package that requires a signature, but whatever. This location is ok. read more

I had a package shipped that was processed for delivery at the Menlo Park facility. Because of the value of the contents, it required signature/pre-sign release form since I can't be home at time of delivery. So, I left it affixed to my door and expected the carrier to leave the package just there. Imagine my surprise when I received an email alert that my package had an "attempted" delivery but then returned back to the facility to wait another day. When I got home, I did not see a tag on the door nor did I see any indication that a delivery attempt had been made. The release form was still sitting there just as I had left it. On Friday Fedex attempted to deliver my package when I wasn't in and left a tag to be signed and put back on the door. I signed the door tag and put it on the door. Next day (saturday) the Fedex truck delivers to my neighbors but not to me. I took it that on saturdays they do not re-attempt a delivery and wasn't concerned. On the next monday (yesterday) I put the signed tag on the door and stayed home so that my expensive purchase didn't end up being stolen (my house is on an old street and only a few feet from it). Late afternoon I phoned Fedex because my purchase never arrived. I was told that a delivery attempt had been made at 9:05 but couldn't be completed -nobody was at home and tag not on the door which is a straight lie-and that a delivery manager would phone me in two hours. Nobody phoned me at all. Today, tuesday, the door tag went on the door at 6:00 am again and again I stayed home. About 10:00 I saw a Fedex truck slow down in front of my house and then went away. I immediately phoned fedex and while I was on the phone with Fedex the same truck again came in front of my house, slowed down and went away. After a firm complain from me, the phone call was then passed onto a higher manager who told me the package would be at my door in 15 minutes. It was only a few minutes when the delivery truck came to my door and gave me my package. He had it with him in the truck for sure, not delivering it, because the feww minutes elapsing between their promised delivery in 15 was not enough for the driver to go to Menlo Park to fetch the package. When I inquired as to why he hadn't stopped and delivered the package he said that the tag hadn't been at the door and nobody was in at 9:00 when he had attempted the delivery. I told him that I can prove the door tag was on the door, and I had 3 visitors (from 8:am to 10:00 am) and I was indeed about 3 feet from the door and neither did the bell ring , nor the tag was stripped from the door and my noisy gate wasn't opened during this time and that wasn't difficult to prove that he was lying. He then said he was sorry, but he didn't seem sorry at all-business as usual for him . I spent a lot of time on the phone with Fedex, didn't have my purchase on time, got lied and FEDEX wants me to do business with them? Furthermore, they want to do business with the company that sent me my purchase? Any company that wants to do business with me better not use exclusively FEDEX for delivery- I will not have it. After my exchange with the driver I complained to FEDEX : someone who had the manner of a bored high school student on an interneship took my complain (did he?) Apparently someone is going to phone me, wasting my time again? I'll be waiting . This is my ONLY complain EVER on the internet, because it was such a shameless lack of service. Shipped a brand new iPhone and was told on the tracking page that it was lost on the day of. Still haven't found it after a month and half and was not given the refund for even the shipping charges. Extremely suspicious, even the customer service representative working on the case said it could be stolen. Do not ship with FedEx. If you do, don't ship from this location!!!! read more

The Post Office told me that the very best way to get a parcel to Scotland as quickly as possible was to use their Global Express Guaranteed through FedEx. I had urgent medication that needed to be delivered and after paying over $74 to get it there in at most three business days what do I find? It took from Saturday to FRIDAY to get there and when I phone the USPS tracking number I am told that the guarantee doesn't apply because there was a customs delay. Check out the back of the Waybill and receipt. The guarantee is pretty worthless. They say the customs delay was not their fault but neither was it mine. Don't bother to use Global Express Guaranteed. It's a waste of money. read more

Failed to deliver an overnight express shipment from Menlo Park to NYC. Package was "missorted". When I called to complain, they cannot issue a refund for the package which was never delivered. This has been the worst customer service experience of my life. I took a bio-hazard box in at 5:25 (not realizing that 5:30 was the cut-off time). Larry stalled around telling me how the dirty label wasn't right and what else was wrong with the box NEVER TELLING ME THAT WE WERE ABOUT TO MISS THE DEADLINE. Finally, a woman came in telling me about the deadline and, finally, just grabbing the box out of Larry's hands so that we could make it before the truck left. I honestly think that Larry wanted me to miss the deadline. Wow, how does he look at himself in the mirror? Larry should find a new line of work. read more

Is there a zero rating? Several consecutive times the deliverer has neglected to check the address, has reversed the numbers and has delivered a package to me instead of my neighbors 5 doors away. My house has numbers 5 inches tall, clearly displayed. Today I called the anonymous foreign phone number 3 times---zero accountability for the overnight priority delivery. I gave FedEx 20 minutes to pick up and redeliver the package as the moving van was taking my neighbors furniture. Deadline expired---my neighbor retrieved his own package. I ordered a package through amazon, the delivery date was suppose to be Monday May 15, 2017. When it wasn't delivered I caller amazon, who then contacted FedEx to try and figure out the problem. Long story short, FedEx had the delivery date for Tuesday because Sundays doesn't count as a business day (totally understand) but then again FedEx and amazon should have that figure out and not me. I ordered a mattress, the old one was thrown away today because I thought I would have the new one delivered today, which is why I made a big deal out of it. I don't have a problem on sleeping on the floor, but I have my daughter that sleeps with me so I do have a problem with her sleeping on the floor. And my problem is that when I was talking to the rep at FedEx she told me I can just go pick it up in person. It was 8:30 pm and they close at 8:45. I'm about 8 minutes away so I didn't see a problem but when I got there one of the employees (Daniel) was beyond rude to me. I try to explain the situation but all he kept saying was that he gets customers like me all the time that try to pick up packages early and he was not going to have that. I told him I had just talk to a rep at FedEx and they told me I could go pick it up but all he was doing was back talking to me and belittling me like I was just a child who didn't understand. I explained that I understood that it was closing time and that he probably was just trying to get out of work and that I'm in the same line of duty as he is, and all he kept saying was good for you. I have never felt more embarrassed and humiliated. I would never talk to a guest like that, and for him to tell me that he sees people like me trying to get deleviries early all the time like that was really my intention, when in reality I had just talked to a a rep and she told me it was OK for me to go pick up. I would've never gone if she told me it was not OK. Daniel was laughing as he went to go get the manager (whom by the way was a angel, and did everything to help me out) but Daniel laughed while whispering under his breath "she ain't gonna do shit for you". Seriously, that's the people you employe to help out your customers? This is ridiculous. This has to be by far the worse person I have ever come in contact with. Not even a customer/employee situation. Just a rude, unfriendly, mean person and I hope that he was just having a bad day and no one has to deal with what I just dealt with today. read more

I am almost always running late for everything and tonight was no exception I got out of work at 8:30, and rushed to the FedEx ship center on Haven Ave., Menlo Park to send my son sick who lives in South Lake Tahoe his antibiotics. He has a sore throat that is so painful he barely whispers. Tonight it's mom to the rescue if I can get to FedEx by 845 PM and overnight his medicine, a belated birthday card and a little cash well a lot of cash arriving first thing in the morning! Don't tell anyone but I ran through two red lights and almost a third when the light turned green and got here at the Ship Center at exactly 845. I jumped out of my car and ran to the door and it was locked. I started knocking on the glass with both hands flat on the glass. Eli and Daniel I call him 'diehard' Daniel because I swear he worked every single day during the holidays came to the door and rescued me and actually typed everything up and got it shipped out on the truck on time !!!! I can't tell you what that means to me and what it will mean to my son in the morning who is dying of a sore throat right now. Eli if you're reading this, you are the best !!when Fred left Fed Ex over year ago I could never imagine getting better service than what Fred gave me for many years but I was wrong. And pleasantly wrong at that. 'Diehard' Daniel was with Eli tonight so it was a team effort and this guy 'diehard' Daniel has worked every day I swear during and since the holidays and he's good with everything. And as a little bonus both of them are extremely easy on the eyes and keepers ladies so if you get a chance drop in the FedEx center in Menlo Park on Haven Avenue and hope you get 'diehard' Daniel or Eli to help you because they will go out of their way to make you happy and I want to thank the Main Man, RJ Nichols for hiring both of them to be on the Fed Ex Team! Federal express has A reputation for hiring smart, trustworthy, loyal individuals who just happen to all be very good looking. In my office work days the girls and I used to sit back and enjoy the show when there was a FedEx delivery. The tradition continues even without me. Great job FED EX!! read more

FedEx is horrible, I'm handicapped and had several appointments that I needed to go to. But because of a couple very important packages I cancelled everything, stayed home and waited. At one point in the early afternoon I checked the status of delivery and it read "delivered". One package was indeed delivered however the other package was not, in fact they left an "Attempted delivery" note. I cannot pick these boxes up my self since I have a broken back and bad knees, I depend on my assistant that helps me with that. The driver never rang the door bell to notify us that he was here and only left a note saying attempted delivery. This is sheer laziness and unprofessionalism. I later contacted there main 1-800 number to complain about this and they where equally rude and when I asked for the name of the person I spoke to they refused to give me there full name and employee number.
