After eating at Sweet Chick for lunch, we discovered that this place was only a few blocks away, so we knew we had to get it too. They are originally from South Philly and as you may already know, that's where they have the best Philly cheesesteaks. We decided to get all 3 to try- their cheesesteak, roast pork sandwich and Italian hoagie. The service was great, all the staff were super friendly and nice especially Miguel. The restaurant looked clean and narrow with a couple of stools/ bar tops along each wall. My order was ready as promised, 5-10 minutes. The cheesesteak tasted like an original Philly cheesesteak w/o having to make the 2+ hour trip. It was really good! Their cheesesteak has diced up steak and onions with the original cheese wiz on it. Everything tasted like perfection, but my only critique would be additional cheese sauce because there wasn't enough. The roast pork sandwich with brocolli rabe & garlic along with a gravy dip had amazing taste even without the dip. However, the dip helped out with any dryness in the sandwich for people who like sauce. The Italian hoagie was a standard hero that did not disappoint. This place offers a very small menu of sandwiches but they are simply amazing. Their main sandwiches are the Cheesesteak, Roast Pork and Italian Hoagie. My all time favorite is the Roast Pork sandwich which comes with the most amazing pork ever, broccoli rabe and sharp provolone cheese. It also comes with a sauce that's oil based but I usually have them put it on the side. You get to choose either 6 inch or 8 inch sub. The sandwiches are a bit pricey but very very good. Trust me! I had the Cheesesteak sandwich before but it was a bit too salty for my taste. I have yet to try their Sunday Gravy sandwich which is only served on Sunday. Ediths meatballs with braised pork, sharp provolone and pecorino! The interior is not that big but offers a good amount of stools to sit on and have your food inside. Another williamsburg spot that's been on my list for over a year and finally made it. Went on a weekday, believe it was a Monday evening and it wasn't too crowded-- just a handful of individuals waiting on some pickup orders. The interior here is very charming with bar stool-like seating. It would be a great place for a little solo cheesesteak action if that is up your alley. For two we split the loaded fries and a cheesesteak. I thought the cheesesteak was very good but the fries were better. I practically inhaled them. I have no words for this...almost. This has to be one of the top five "best things I've ever eaten". Ever. I consider it a blessing that I didn't have to wait hours in line for it. I have been told to go to Federoff's for the best Philly cheesesteak from someone who's been to all of Philly to try their Philly cheesesteaks. Is it just me or is it just not that amazing? I think I've had better chopped cheese in a deli in Harlem for 5 dollars than this. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak for $18. 18 whole dollars? I don't know how bad the economy is but this sandwich only had meat and cheese and onions - not any of it was that high quality to be honest. I'm glad they had impossible meat for my friend who wanted to try it but was a vegetarian and that wasn't that amazing either. For what is known as "best Philly cheesesteak in Brooklyn" all this is is a disappointment. The woman at the counter didn't even give us any tap water - for I don't know why you can serve 18 dollar sandwich with no free water. Even pizza stores would offer free tap water. Maybe since the name is Federoff's Roast Pork maybe their roast pork sandwich is a lot better. I don't know. Old school ambiance, old soda machine yada yada it's Williamsburg a notorious weird place in New York infamous for selling nostalgia with no soul. But what I will say is that the cheesesteak is actually what the rest of the reviews say it is. Packed with good quality steak. The whiz made the whole sandwich a little too wet I prefer melted cheese but it Definitely can compete with Philly. The bread is a little off though it isn't that Philadelphia quality but it's alright we are in New York. $1 extra for the peppers makes me remember I'm ordering from a place with Disney ceos living around the corner. We were supposed to go to Philly but the weather was cold. We decided to stay home but decided to still get Philly's name sake sandwiches. Coming from our area of Queens the best way to get here was to drive. Parking wasn't great but we still found a spot. Our plan all along was to eat in the car. Fedoroff's is a small place. Counters on each side with stools to eat at if you choose. We ordered 3 cheesesteaks and a roast pork sandwich. Everyone had two meals worth of food. The cheesesteak is as good as any I have ever had. I have been to all of the touristy places in Philly and I have been to some of the local favorites too. Good food is good food and these cheesesteaks were great. Gooey with the perfect mix of cheese, onion and steak. The roast pork sandwich was equally as good. In Philly we usually get our roast pork sandwich in the terminal market. Those are good, this was great. The extra jus on the side made this sandwich. It was amazing. And then, I was I showed up tonight, Tuesday, the 23rd of October to a cashier who allegedly couldn't serve guest appropriately because she was sick, which was odd considering SHE WAS STILL ALLOWED TO WORK. Love this place. Found out about it 2019 during my caviar days and had no idea i could get a phillycheese steak this good in Brooklyn. Only problem is they do run out of stuff sometimes. So you have to pop in like mid day on a Tuesday alate noon to be able to try it all. Its a small place so dont expect to sit down with a large group. The last couple of bites on both halves were just bread soaked with cheese. Also, they drench it in so much cheese sauce the paper they wrap it in becomes like tissue paper around the sandwich. I don't often eat cheesesteaks in NY since most are often disappointing. Fedoroff's is good but it's still not a Philly cheesesteak from just say Dalessandro's. Now I don't know why it's so hard to mirror a cheesesteak from Philly. It's just a good roll, steak, whiz and onions. Not all are made the same. Cheesesteak from Fedoroff's is good but a tad salty. The whiz doesn't permeate the meat and cover all the meat cracks. So you get a good top bite but the mid section is lacking flavor. The roast pork sandwich is decent but I think the provolone could be sharper. I didn't taste much of it. Was never a huge fan of roast pork sandwiches but at least the version here was better than the best version in Philly from John's roast pork. Fedoroff's was a bit of a letdown on the first visit. I found the qualities of their $18 medium cheesesteak on the average side. Though I'd say their roast pork is the better choice. We came on a Sunday around 3pm in hopes of trying their Sunday Gravy (available only Sundays), but it was already sold out. If I were to make a return trip, it would be mainly for that. The cheesesteak was a pure mess of cheese whiz and beef spilling out of the bread but what cheesesteak isn't really a mess. It's a rather salty sandwich, but lacking some nuances in flavor in texture. I wish there was a bit more onion. Bread could be a bit more crusty. It helped to add ketchup onto the sandwich to break the saltiness. As for roast pork, it's pretty strong on the cheese, but I enjoyed the broccoli rabe on this. The pork was cooked well. I still think the bread could benefit from being crusty to add some overall texture. Au jus didn't really add much to the sandwich. Overall, I like the vibe of the place which feels old school. I just wish I enjoyed the sandwiches more. I'd come back for the Sunday Gravy. Yes the sandwiches are pricy for what it is, but again this is NY. They do medium and large sizes for each of their sandwiches, but the difference in price is minimal. Medium was the perfect size for one person. Definitely in the top 3 best cheesesteaks i've ever had! Well-seasoned, just the right amount of cheese and onions. When they asked me if i wanted hot peppers though, i thought they'd include them in the sandwich, but instead they were on the side. ima need that heat IN the sandwich. Tried the chicken cutlet Italian, but def could've avoided it. The cutlet was tough, a bit burnt, and dry. i needed to add hot sauce to make it manageable.
