They sent us directions to pick up in the back, but we got a little lost. Leonard, the owner, came out to find us and introduced himself and shared a little about the food and their projects. He was such a nice guy with big plans for the food! Into the food itself - The tuna mayo onigiri was STUFFED. There was so much flavor in every bite. I was a little cranky you have to order in twos but afterwards that first bite, I'm glad I had a whole one to myself! We got the Portuguese sausage with musubi and chili oil. The chili oil had a lot of heat and flavor to it! I don't recommend the chili oil if you're picturing a light spice because it packs a punch. But if you like the fire, highly recommend! My partners favorite was the classic teriyaki spam with unagi and avocado. I really enjoyed the portion sizing of each item - created a really perfect bite. The unagi had an extra smokiness to it. I think it's probably prepared in house/not supermarket unagi - the taste was quite different from that! The chicken lumpia was crispy and perfectly seasoned - not too salty and savory. The Thai chili sauce wasn't too spicy at all either. We'd definitely be back to try more!

This is a very long overdue review for Musubi Libre. I've been a fan of this business from the…read morebeginning. The musubi here are seriously amazing. The quality honestly reminds me of the kind of musubi you'd get in Hawaii, similar to places like Iyasume. Ever since trying musubi in Hawaii years ago, I've been hooked, and Musubi Libre is one of the very few places here that really gives me that same feeling/experience I've had. While the musubi are absolutely amazing, and it is their namesake, the Mrs. And I really like the onigiri! It's surprisingly hard to find truly good onigiri here in the US that lives up to the quality of the ones you'd get in Japan. Leonard, the owner clearly puts a ton of effort into each. He's definitely perfected his craft. The Mrs. and I have ordered from here casually many times before on our days off. We've tried the tuna, mentaiko, and ume. Mentaiko is my personal fave. The tuna is excellent too, and the ume has a classic salty-tangy flavor that's unique and refreshing. It's a great option for vegetarians as well. Recently, we ordered from Leonard to have onigiri catered for our daughter's birthday party. We got those 3 flavors. Originally, we just wanted something unique for the adults alongside the chicken nuggets and pizza we got for the kids. Man, we are so glad we did. The onigiri was a massive hit! People absolutely loved it, including guests who weren't necessarily huge into Japanese food or culture. They disappeared FAST! Like so fast I didn't get to eat one myself! This place is seriously a hidden gem in the East Bay. Definitely stop by, try the musubi and onigiri, and say hi to Leonard, who is genuinely one of the nicest people/owners you'll meet.

I usually order it so it's waiting in my lobby when I get home. So far the food has been phenomenal - or at least way better than I could put together myself! My wife and I have used the service twice and both times it was as easy as could be, the food was satisfying (but not way too much like at a restaurant) and yummy. Plus, I just love the tiny dessert that comes with it :) I've never tried other delivery services, but I can't imagine you can beat the price or the ease!

This is regards to FoodCrave, a sistercompany of FoodNearU…read more I don't understand why I continue to receive such lackluster service from this company. I've ordered from them multiple times and though my choices of food varies, where my food gets delivered to does not. I have tried to keep the faith in their services because without them I would not have sushi, Thai, Chinese, or pizza delivered to my office. However lately things are just not the same. This last month or so, my food rarely if ever arrived on time, the worst was when i received my order nearly 45 minutes late., and today (yes, today) I find out how under-qualified and inexperienced their delivery drivers are when mine calls me up stating he doesn't know where I am. ** There are available tools out there called GPS, Google Maps, Waze that this individual could have used!** Obviously not everyone's experience is the same, but I cannot rely on a company whose services have grown to be unreliable.
