I have been coming to Bagel Bakery of Dublin since I was a child. Amazing quality all around, the regular bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and BAGEL DOGS!!! The vibe is super comforting, come as you are. Most of the time I'm rolling up in a T-shirt, basketball shorts, and flip flops. Wrote this review because I don't think of giving reviews to my regular spots, but, I should. Today I had a large order and they forgot to charge me for some items. No big deal to me lol, but they apologized and even gave me a free bagel. Super nice family running it, always the same young man holding down on the weekends with mom and pop. PSA!!! Very popular bagel spot located in Pleasanton. They have a variety or options to choose from, bagels, sandwiches, smoothies, coffee, tea, pastries, etc. When we went it was later on in the day so it wasn't that crowded but I have heard in the mornings in can get pretty packed. The lady who helped us was so sweet! And the service was fast. We will definitely be back to try more options as a lot of the bagels were sold out since we went late. read more

This seems to be a family run place that has been in the area for a few decades. First time for us. Was in the area for my kids early morning basketball game - so we had to head out from the peninsula at 7am in the morning on a weekend! So of course we were starving for getting a carb load breakfast after the game. This place popped up as a local favorite in the area and we decided to give it shot. We are glad we did. A line to get bagels at 11:00am in the morning on a weekend in this part of the Bay Area indicates that these guys have a loyal following. Went for some bagel sandwiches. Fussy eater kid got an egg-wich, and loved it! I got the veggie sandwich on a sesame bagel, and I have to say, it hit the mark (sorry all NYC bagel snobs). Would live to try some of their other bagels - but I don't think I am going to back in this area for breakfast any time in the near future. Maybe the next basketball game. read more

If I could rate this lower than a -10 I would. I went in to get a smoothie or something before a dentist appointment and every single one of their smoothies has banana in it. I am highly allergic to banana so there's no option of a smoothie without the banana. I offered to pay more to put something else in and I was told sure but also another $2 for not getting banana.... I asked to make sure that I understood what she said is she said yeah you pay extra for fruit but then also extra $2 for not getting the banana!! Am I losing it since when do you pay extra to get something not put in your food that you are allergic to? Especially when you're offering to pay extra already. God knows how much. The extra I was going to pay to put extra fruit in was plus the $2. I might have been paying five extra dollars for a dang smoothie! And they looked at me like I was crazy LOL. Great service. Excellent food! I actually had a sandwich on a roll instead of a bagel this time and it exceeded my expectations. I almost gave only 4 stars because they don't have pickles for their sandwiches :( and my sandwich could have used MORE mustard and MORE banana peppers, but I should have asked. My mom loved her bagel sandwich. Love that they have the "old school" drink refrigerator to pick your Snapple or juice or whatever bottled beverage. I always get the lox bagel when I come here, and honestly they give you so much salmon. It's great. The only thing that keeps me from wanting to go back is the service. Every time I'm there, the staff just feels kinda impatient with whoever's ordering. And when the wait gets long and you ask how much longer it might be, they just... don't answer. I don't love starting my morning with that energy, so I usually go to other bagel shops. But if you're doing takeout and don't have to deal with them directly, then it's totally fine. read more

Unfriendly and poor customer service. I like the bagels and coffee here and went out of my way to go. When I got my coffee I only filled my cup half way because I knew I'd want to fill it up a bit more to warm it up before I left after eating. When i added one pump more of coffee (still not a full cup) the woman behind the counter told me I needed to pay another dollar for a refill. I explained and she insisted I owed her a dollar. I told her I wasn't going to fight her over a dollar, but I showed her that my cup was less than half full and explained again what I'd done. I understand that people can be shady these days, but her attitude and arguing with me over one pump of coffee (which I'm sure she saw because she was watching me like a hawk) after I'd bought $16 worth of sandwiches and a $3 cup of coffee, is just a stupid way to lose a customer. I gave her the dollar, which turned out to be $1.10, but we won't be back again. This is why people stick to Starbucks. Not what I expect from a neighborhood cafe. read more

So I've been coming to the bagel bakery, cause I work pretty close by and today I got like the worst service ...so I got a bagel and some coffee pretty simple right, so I go to get my coffee and normally they have like the medium roast decaf and dark roast on the bottom then on the top, they have all their flavored coffee stuff. It's like a self serve type of place which is fine, so I go and get the coffee that I normally get in the spot that I normally get it at and apparently it's cinnamon because they were not paying attention at some point and switched them, so I politely asked like hey I got cinnamon coffee when I actually just wanted regular coffee and one of the ladies was kind of like apologetic and then the other lady when I asked for like a different a cup or if I could pour it out, she was like well can't you read? It says it right there that it's cinnamon. I was a little put off to be honest like I work in customer service so I get it but that was just 100% uncalled for and for coffee that they make so much profit on. Needless to say, I probably won't be going back and I will be telling all of my staff the same story it pays just to be nice. read more

We've tried most of their varieties, so I'm only listing the ones that rose to the top in each category. Sweet - Cinnamon crunch - a notch above the usual sweet bagels like cinnamon raisin or blueberry. The crunch is real and separates this from all the others. Savory - Jalapeño Cheddar - big chunks of jalapeño, generous coating of cheddar, so can't go wrong! Regular jalapeño is a close second in my book. Healthy - The sesame bagel is my favorite. They're so liberal with the seeds they usually bag these separately! Cream cheese - Sun-dried tomato garlic wins hands down in the savory category. Honey walnut is tops among the sweet choices. Price - $20.99 for a dozen bagels and two 8-ounce tubs of cream cheese. Fifty cents extra for each "cheesy" bagel. Parking - plentiful. Seating - lots inside, a few tables outside. The staff is always warm and welcoming. I recently stopped by and Hong, the owner, and Rosa, were both there, just working on a hot day. On the weekends, Andrew, the owner's son, is there and he is so nice and helpful, too! My go to are their bagel dogs and croissant sandwiches. They will make it any way you want and what I especially like is that they cut it in half and wrap each half individually. I've always shared the other half with a coworker who appreciated it, a little something to tide one over until lunch. The bagel dogs are so filling and the dough so tender. I always buy a couple to take home as well. During the lunch and breakfast hour, especially on the weekends, they get slammed, so call ahead if you like. read more

You know, I'm more of a donut type of guy but after trying this place?!? I might have to convert! My brother and I were in the area and he loves bagels so we decided to swing by this place and check it out. The person working the register was extremely friendly, I couldn't decide between 2 choices, the cinnamon or the walnut and raisin and he let me try both. I STILL couldn't decide so we ended up getting both. Jalapeño cheddar- this is a whole meal in itself. The cream cheese was on point, salmon was nicely brined, all the fixings that go with the lox bagel was delicious. Bagel nicely toasted and the jalapeño and cheddar was for sure enhanced on this bagel. Solid. Cinnamon crunch- SHEESH!!! Absolute fire! Down to the toasted texture, the sweetness level of the bagel, and blueberry cream cheese, everything about this bagel was bomb! It tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch but in bagel form. Sweet but not too overpowering, the cinnamon flavor was aromatic and it seemed to have a ever so slight glaze on the top. Blueberry cheese spread was bursting with blueberry flavor and went really well with the bagel. The crunch on this bagel was definitely different from the jalapeño cheddar one my brother had, it just hits completely different. Fast and friendly service. Bagels are large and come in classic flavors. Nothing Instagram worthy, just yummy honest food. Favorites include cinnamon crunch when I'm craving something sweet. Jalapeno cheese or bacon cheddar are my savory go-tos. Bagel Bakery also has minis, perfect for office break rooms. The snack sized bagels are just big enough to tide me over until lunch and won't make me want to nap afterwards. Also due to COVID safety protocols, we can no longer get the normal sized bagels. We used to cut them in half but no one likes to share anymore and there are always leftover half bagels at the end of the day. The mini bagels eliminate the waste. We stock of different flavored cream cheeses in the fridge since the minis only come plain. For more substantial meals, tuna melts, chicken salad sandwiches and pizzas with bagel bases are also available. I also like their bagels with lox, smoothies and fruit cups. Lots of parking now that Amakara has moved down the street. Only wish they would alternate their days of closure with the mom-and-pop donut shop down the street.
