Came here the other night with my family. Let me start by saying the prime rib is AMAZING! My mother and I ordered the prime rib, and it was cooked to perfection, absolutely mouth watering and delicious. My sister ordered the chicken piccata and says it was delectable. She said she would definitely go back and get it again! My kids had the chicken nuggets and spaghetti with red sauce and I've never seen them eat SO MUCH; the portion sizes were absolutely huge and well worth every penny. If you check in you receive a FREE potato skin which were so delicious and large portioned. We came here because of the reviews and upon arriving were a little skidish because it looks like a hole in the wall but, don't let that fool you, amazing food, great service and good atmosphere. Last minute decision to eat steak for dinner on a Thursday night , usually steakhouses only take reservations so I called to find out if we can just walk in around 8:40 pm. Sweet lady told me no problem and don't worry about the dress code and they were about to close at 10 pm. Potato skin was free if you check in on Yelp and i loved the fact that it wasn't overly salted. We also ordered the calamari and boy did they made it their own by drizzling a butter sauce over it, tasted amazing! One of the best calamari so far I've tasted. I ordered the pasta that I couldn't pronounce, came with really thick long noodles which was delicious. Very disappointed after the reviews. Went for a late lunch to try the prime rib with my in-laws. The meat was cooked well but it had no seasoning and the au jus was fairly bland as well. Sad that this was described as the best prime rib in the city. Reuben sandwich was fine- nothing special. Fish and chips also bland and needed seasoning/ a lot of lemon to make up for it. Server was distant and seemed annoyed anytime we needed something but I think they may have been short staffed that day. Lots of parking. read more

I just found Feeneys and am bummed I didn't find it sooner. It is a dark, old school restaurant with great food at reasonable prices. First off, I had a great old fashioned and some really good potato skins. I wound up getting the prime rib because they are known for it. It was great as was the loaded baked potato. Have been going to Feeny's for 6 years now. Honestly can't believe I've never reviewed them. I guess I didn't want everyone to know how incredible this place is. From the minute you open the door to the greeting from Maria( owner) to the great food and cozy atmosphere.... it is the best secret!! ( whew... there I said it) I can honestly say that they have the best Pork Osso Bucco I have ever had. Served over a bed of mashed potatoes. The beef Wellington is amazing. Greek Salmon... portion is huge and just the right amount of seasoning. The menu has something for everyone. Monday is $6 burger night. Served with fries. These aren't just any burgers. They are sirloin... and delicious. Now.... one of the neatest thing is the Salad Bar. One of the only places that I will eat at a salad bar. Why you ask? Because I know it is spotless... and filled with just the right amount of goodness. Oh and the Greek salad dressing is fantastic. I would post pictures.. but alas... I came here with high expectations since it says best prime rib.... & yeahhhhh that was NOT the case ! It had absolutely no flavor. It was even DRY! How do you get a medium rare piece dry? We really enjoyed ourselves at Feeney's. We drove past this place a few times and decided to check It out. What a pleasant surprise! The staff is super and the martini's are great! AND the Prime Rib is one of the best I've ever had as well as the Loster tail. We also got a free order of the potato skins for checking in on YELP. Boo got the Filet Mignon as well as the Escargot for appetizer. There's also a salad bar that has the cold salad plates. Went with two friends, we each ordered the prime rib. All three of us thought it was bland, as in it literally had NO FLAVOR at all. It was the strangest thing, but the mashed potatoes and gravy were the same way... NO TASTE! We were starting to question whether we were all coming down with something, because how else would all of our plates have no flavor- but we could taste the salad dressings and the flavor of our drinks. I also thought it was disappointing that there was no bread before/with dinner, nor at the salad bar. On a positive note, the place is kitschy cool, and our server was great. Maria continues to waltz the restaurant for the most minute reason. Due to Covid the salad bar has been replaced but otherwise the world is still the same 12 th street. Amazing prime rib that Durants cannot hold a candle to. Chicken piccata rivaled the best local Italian in Phoenix and my wife devoured the salmon as I immersed myself into the lamb chops . They eclipsed anything I've experienced in Greece. My wife is Greek and I'm fully aware of their distinct focus on proper preparation of this meat. Oregano, lemon, olive oils and a balance of easy spices. I must irradiate that Feeny's is a family neighborhood delight. Man!!! I LOVE Yelp!!!! I was craving for a nice juicy rib eye and found Feeney's through Yelp. I got there on a Wednesday night around 6pm and it wasn't too crowded so I was able to get a table right away. It looks like this restaurant also has some Greek items. For example they serve Saganaki (Flaming cheese with pita bread), if I was with another person, I would totally order it because I love this dish. They also serve Hummus and Pasta Mykonos (linguini with feta cheese, chopped tomatoes and chives in a garlic butter sauce). I was very tempted to order the Greek items but I came here for the Prime Rib. So I ordered the following: Ace Pineapple Hard Cider ($5.45) - Pineapple Beer.... No need to describe how good was this beer. Potato Skins (Free if you Check In) - Lots of cheese, bacon, sour cream and green onions. What an awesome combination!!! Feeney's Famous Prime Rib 8oz ($21) - The meat melted in my mouth. I ordered it medium rare, it was tender, juicy and flavorful. So much meat for just $21. I got it with a build your own side salad and baked potato. They had to wheel me out of the restaurant. LOL :) :) I can't wait to go back to Feeney's. My hubby selected Feeney's for my bday dinner because I have been dying to try a Beef Wellington after watching Hell's Kitchen for years. Pastry and beef, hello!!! This place is one of those old school restaurants, tables, and feel. I remember these places when I was a kid. We were greeted right away and she turned out to be our server too. Maria was awesome and her support staff. Our drinks were never empty and they came to check on us multiple times but not to the point that they are standing over us. We ordered: Chicken Wings with Ranch - Those little things are spicy but so crispy. The ranch helped to cut some of the spicy. Cream of Broccoli Soup - Thick, creamy, and good. Beef Wellington - OMG, it was good. It was so good, I could not stop eating. The mash potato and gravy was a great side to go with my wellington. Lamp Chops - My hubby loved it! He said we are coming back!!! They bread that came with the meal was so good!!! I ate both pieces of the rye. My husband had the pumpernickel. The server found out we were there to celebrate my bday, so she bought me a huge slice of mud pie (ice cream). It was so good and they sang happy birthday to me. Old run down building with smokers, both employees and guests, congregating outside the front door. They used to have an awesome salad bar, but now it is very limited. Older lady waitress was not attentive and I had to get up three different times to find her to ask where our food was. When it finally came, my guests order was correct, but mine was not. Once again I had to find her to tell her it was wrong. She took it back to the kitchen but when it finally arrived (still not correct) back at our table, my guest had finished their food. This place was fantastic from the food right up to the service provided! Judy was the bartender and also served me in the dining room, she was wonderful and made me feel like an old friend. This is a dimly lit place and an obvious hang out for locals, but the food was to die for and my steak was prepared and seasoned perfectly. What a find! We dropped in for a late lunch and George took care of us. The atmosphere reminded me of a better version of Monti's steakhouse in Tempe with rustic brick walls and al fresco scenic murals in each room The food was divine. I ordered the London broil in a sweeter mushroom sauce and my spouse had the French Dip. The quality of meat was top notch and we both practically licked our plates towards the end. If my stomach could have handled it, I would have ordered seconds. This place is located just south of Maryland on 12th Street with simple access and plenty of parking. First time at Feeneys this past Saturday night and really enjoyed it. Everyone is so friendly. Love the older Phoenix building with brick arches. Bartender and servers were singing along to the oldies being played. Hostess waitress were so sweet and helpful. Prime rib excellent as well as sirloin.
