I have never been to the famous "The Biltmore" and was excited for the chance to gather some gal pals for brunch. As you would expect: the grounds are beautiful, the environment says "fancy" yet there's a down-to-earth feeling here. We sat in an atrium off the main dining g room. It wasn't crowded for a Saturday at lunchtime! Our server was very pleasant, checking in but never rushed us. I ordered the Benedict (on an English muffin made by Noble bakery) and I'd have to say it was one of the better hollandaise I've had in a while. But I would expect a higher-end restaurant to get this right. The other surprise at the table was the breakfast pizza! I noticed the pizza oven on the way out and I have to say I would come back here for pizza ! I really liked the crust. All told we had a pleasant lunch but if I was to come back it would simply be for drinks out on the glorious pool bar. A strong recommendation- if you have visiting guests or are looking for a place for an elegant and relaxing meal with thoughtful service, I think this would be a solid choice. read more

Came here for lunch one day while staying at the Arizona Biltmore and really enjoyed it! Our server was so nice. When she thought our food was going to be delayed, she brought out some waffles for us to munch on and they were good. What was outstanding was the crispy chicken chopped salad! We ordered one and split it, so they put it into two bowls for us and it was plenty. It was so good and the dressing had a little spice to it, which I loved. We also had some short rib on bean paste patty (I don't know how else to describe it) and the short rib meat was pretty good but I thought the bean patty had a strange texture. It wasn't bad but I felt weird eating it. With the friendly service and the great salad at a reasonable price (for a nice resort), I definitely recommend this place. read more

Stayed at the Arizona Biltmore and McArthur's was our go for many of our breakfast/lunch/ and dinner options! It's within the hotel and has AMPLE seating! The outside seating area is beautiful in its decor design, and makes you feel like you're in Tulum (may seem like a stretch, but if you've been I'm sure you know what I mean). Customer service and food is great here - literally no complaints and always left full and satisfied! Their menu seems to change daily so you're able to try something new every day! Had a great experience eating at McArthur's while staying at the Arizona Biltmore. This is one of the restaurants on the property. Our server was Yari and she was attentive and polite. We are breakfast and ordered the following: -Avocado Toast -Breakfast Burrito -Glow (Rise & Shine, non-alcoholic menu) The breakfast burrito was delicious as hell. Originally comes with pork sausage but I swapped that for chicken sausage (if you've known me to not eat meat and you see this, mind your business haha), and declined the bacon. Be weary that the breakfast potatoes can look like bacon, so I thought they forgot to take it off. Turns out I was wrong. The avocado toast had too many textures for me and so that made it overwhelming to eat. It's a no for me. Chill ambiance here, nothing that stands out in my opinion. Came here for brunch twice during our stay at the biltmore. I would say options are limited but it is delicious. For the Chicken Chipotle club and the pumpkin French toast. The French toast was just ok, i think i am more of a classic person. The club, though, omg it was delicious. It's on a focaccia bread, great juicy chicken. Highly recommend getting that. The service can get a little slow during peak hours, so just make sure you ask for everything at once. The place is big, so never need to wait for a table. read more

I love McArthurs inside the Arizona Biltmore - we go here at least a handful of times every August when we vacation here. I can't say enough good things about their staff or their avocado toast! It's literally my favorite thing on the menu - I always sub the poached eggs for scrambled and it's just great. The pickled onion and roasted corn brings the whole dish together and all the flavors come together in such a delightful way. The ambiance in the place is always so nice, whether you're sitting with a large party or a small party, sunrise or dinner time . McArthur's Located in Arizona Biltmore hotel and featuring a sit down restaurant and bar equipped with foosball and billiards, McArthur's was neither spectacular nor dull, but the service was lovely and it was easier than ordering delivery. We used our $50 myway credit for this meal and ordered the tuna tartare ($28) and AZ Signature Craft Burger ($32). The tuna tartare was a sad attempt at something good and was more black bean than tuna but at least they had avocado. Honestly I would skip this if I were you. The signature craft burger, on the other hand, was utterly delightful. It was so thick and juicy and every ingredient contributed to the overall flavor. I'm not a burger fan, but I'd clock this as one of the top three burgers I've ever had. This is also coming from someone who prefers more vegetables in their burger. Be prepared: it's a heavy meal! I did appreciate that they were open until 11 PM but otherwise, I probably would have reserved my dining experience for breakfast with them given that their menu was definitely more impressive during that mealtime than dinner. This wound up being or favorite restaurant during the staycation. I ate there twice and my mom ate there 3 times. It's much more approachable then Renata's but also has great foodie things, so I would recommend this to everyone. The burrata with prosciutto, I had twice. It's just delightful and every component is perfect by itself but also together, it was a very well thought out dish and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I was also there on a Tuesday so I tried the Seabass Ceviche from the special menu they do on Tuesdays and it was excellent, I had never had seabass ceviche so it was nice to try something different. My mom did try breakfast one of the days and just raved about it. She brought me a potato and piece of bacon, they were both delicious. If you like bacon I definitely recommend getting it as it's really quite nice as it's pecan smoked and thick cut and cooked beautifully. read more

We wrapped up our staycation at the Arizona Biltmore with breakfast at McArthur's on our last day. McArthur's is the only restaurant on property that offers table service breakfast. I believe the room service menu is also McArthur's. We arrived around 9 am and were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant is big with plenty of seating indoor and out. Our server greeted us promptly. She was very friendly and attentive. I mentioned we were celebrating my husband's birthday and she brought out a complimentary birthday treat; a warm pancake topped with fruit and a candle. It was a sweet gesture. We ordered the following: Fresh squeezed juices (they offer them, but not listed on the menu) Oat milk latte with honey Biltmore Benedict $27 + lump crab $8 Smoked Salmon $28 The juices were fresh and delicious. The green one (pictured) had cucumber and apple and the orange one (also pictured) had ginger, orange, and tajin. My latte was nice and creamy. My husband loved the Biltmore Benedict with crab, served with kumquat jalapeño jam on a crispy croissant -- a unique take on the classic. I opted for the Smoked Salmon, which was served on three small bagels. I was torn between that and another entree and our server helped me decide. It was very tasty and full of protein. McArthur's is one of the restaurants at the Arizona Biltmore hotel. It's more relaxed than the other restaurant and you don't need a reservation. The food came out very quickly, and the server was super attentive. Their veggie options were a bit limited - it was either a pizza or a salad. I wish they were a bit more creative with it! I ended up ordering the tuna tartare, and I absolutely loved it. It's a sharing dish but I had it as a my meal and it was very filling. The tuna was melt in your mouth tender. First time here for dinner but it won't be my last ! I've come for cocktails before but never had a meal here. The Ensenada Tacos are beyond amazing when they say colossal they mean massive ! You literally get one shrimp in your taco and that's all you need! The shrimp is lightly breaded in a tempura like batter with some slaw and a chipotle sauce and it's delicious! They were $30 but I would buy them again if I could it's so worth it! I had two cocktails one was called a cactus cooler if you like citrus order this you won't regret it! The other cocktail I ordered was called where the sun sets I originally ordered this two years ago here at McArthurs and when I return this time, it's no longer on their menu, but they check to see if they had the items and they did and they made it for me. Gee they are slow, but they sure are expensive to make up for it. Dinner for 5 a few nights ago. The 3 we picked up at the airport were tired and hungry. I guess the prices are reasonable for the Biltmore compared to the other restaurants, but it's still a bit of a shocker. It must've take 45 minutes to get our dinner, and the place was maybe 25% full. You know it's bad when the waitress apologizes. They could have offered a free refill on our beverages to help pass the time, but no sign of our waitress until the food came out. The food was actually pretty good - nice crust on the pizzas, and my crunchy chicken salad was pretty tasty, though pedestrian. My wife's steak pizza was pretty good - their crusts are nicely done. The hot honey and arugula on top stole the show and I would definitely order it again. The only thing we didn't enjoy were the wings...a little dry and couldn't taste the dry rub. Sherri is a gem of a human. We briefly mentioned that it was my birthday week and she brought out a candle for my muffin and quietly sang (I did not want a big todo). We shared an order of Fish Tacos and they were nice enough to plate them separately for us. The tacos looked really good and had a lot of great components. I do think that something was missing...maybe a bit more sauce to pull away from the dryness. The fish was cooked perfectly however. Decent brunch place located at the Arizona Biltmore! Kinda pricey for the portion size but it's at a hotel so understandable. We got the breakfast sandwich with a hashbrown, acai bowl, and a breakfast burrito. After tax and tip it was almost $70, good thing we had some food credit from Hilton Gold. The sandwich contents were good and packed with flavor but the hashbrown was hard to eat. Edges over fried. Brioche bun a bit dry. Acai bowl tasted good but texture wise, it was too icy and still pretty frozen. Breakfast burrito was delicious and quite hefty! Overall a very filling brunch. Wouldn't go out of my way to return but if you're staying at the hotel it's pretty much the only place for breakfast. read more

We ate here several times during our stay. Staff were friendly, food was tasty and they were open to modifications. For breakfast we had the strawberry banana Nutella waffle which was nice and fluffy along with the breakfast burrito. The only gripe I have is the coffee was lacking - the black coffee was overly bitter like it came from the bottom of the pot and the latte was 3/4 foam and 1/4 latte - so barely a sip of latte for 7 bucks. The food is probably a little overpriced for what it is, but that could just be resort pricing. For dinner we tried the impossible burger, Greek salad, bucatini and banana cheesecake. Everything was simple but pretty decent and nothing was bland. They accommodate to vegetarians and other dietary restrictions. They have great outdoor seating with heat lamps/warmers and plenty of indoor seating. read more

We were at loose ends and I am collecting visits to Frank Lloyd Wright building so we visited the hotel and ate at McArthur's. Staff were welcoming and the environment and food really good. The environment was lovely. Two of us had the BLT with fries. It was so generous we should have split it. Delicious. Our friend had the salad with chicken also reported to be great. The wine list was well curated. We enjoyed our selections. Go there. Eat. Enjoy. While you are there, tour the building. Go to the pool. Watch the game at the pool. Have a beer. Standing strong at 3 stars for me. Service was fine, the ambiance is nice, especially outside. However, the food is not worth the price. Our dishes were lacking in portion size and in flavor. The breakfast burrito was mid-tier at best, I could get a more flavorful better burrito for 1/3 of the price a few blocks away. The waffle comes with one waffle for over 20$ and no fancy extras or frills. It's okay for room service or if you're staying at the hotel and don't want to leave, but otherwise, the food is not worth the price. read more

Was staying at the Biltmore so naturally had to check it out. The prickly pear Marg was a major standout along with the espresso martini. I loved the presentation of the cactus cooler, and it was also a delicious drink. In comparison to my drinks at the outdoor bar I much preferred the ones here. Bartenders were awesome super friendly and made great drinks - the quality of cocktail you'd expect for such a high end hotel. For food I tried the fish tacos, fries, margarita pizza, and Buffalo wings. Pizza was a standout as recommended by our bartender - I ate the whole thing. I'll be back at the Biltmore for an event in December and am already looking forward to ordering the prickly pear Marg and Pizza again - and trying more menu items! read more

The name of the place has changed (formerly something like Frank & Alberts). Evidently there was a big renovation. The look is pretty much the same, unless you've been a number of times you'll notice some color changes and I believe I remember a huge planter or something that kind of blocked tables in the center. The colors are a little more neutral than I remember from before (crossing over from the southwest color scheme to a more contemporary, modern, feel). There's a pool table now that I don't remember seeing before, too. We went twice when we were there over the weekend. The first time, he ordered breakfasty stuff (waffles? I don't know, something I cannot eat - and he was very happy). I ordered fish tacos, because I mentioned that I cannot eat egg the waiter caught the it included an egg wash and had them grill it for me (YAY!). We were both very happy with our items. The second time we went we were in the mood for pizza (we'd seen it the night before and decided it was a 'must have'). We were NOT disappointed. It was really quite good!! I see in my last review that my waitress had purple hair in 2018. Sadly, no party colored hair this time. We did notice that their dress code calls for the jean legs rolled up and they're allowed (encouraged?) to wear fun socks. Do they allow the fun to go to colored hair? Didn't ask. Sure hope that they still do - it's 2023 and colored hair, piercings, and tattoos are more acceptable than ever (and those things are not indicative of someone character, we really need to stop looking at them that way) Would we go again? As of March 7, 2022, this replacement dining spot has been nicely furnished with a casual feel and renamed. Serving our table for the weekend brunch was Julio. Fabulous Julio! Not only was he attentive but brought a plate of eggs that was depleted at the buffet, refilled my girlfriend's bottomless mimosa $38 and brought a burger (that was not on menu) to please the gentleman at our table! Now that's above and beyond service! The weekend buffet, $42 was not as outstanding. The fruit, vegetables, muffins, croissant tasted like run of the mill Hampton Inn items. Not AZ Biltmore class. Even my ordered entree of their lemon cream cheese pancakes with blueberry compote didn't meet "average" on my meter. They arrived soggy and were lacking in flavor. The desserts offered at the buffet though were very good. Creme brulee was a creamy dream as was the lemon mousse. Too bad they didn't refill the creme brulee cups so my company could share my brief happiness with me. There is generous complimentary parking if you have your ticket validated while dining at McArthurs but I may not be re-visiting any time soon. read more

What a cute place! First I really liked the decor. It's so nice. I felt so comfy and cozy on the patio. Its an open concept but yet still private. However did you do that? My server Elton! You were fabulous. I cant thank you enough for all of you help this afternoon. We came in on a Saturday . It was not too busy and plenty of seating for the whole family or just the two of you. The hotel grounds are lovely, but breakfast was mediocre. I had the standard American breakfast for $25. - Eggs and toast were very good. - bacon was soggy not crispy - like it had been prepped and left in a steam tray - potatoes were soft and greasy, colored but not crispy - like they were parboiled and smashed then flashed in the deep fryer to get color and absorb oil for service - not crispy like they would be if smashed, drizzled, baked (or even deep fried and allowed to rest). Service: - There was a line and wait list for breakfast/brunch even though only 10% of the tables were occupied... either they were short servers or 90% of the tables were reserved for no-shows... so lots of customers gave up and sat at the bar leaving the restaurant quite empty. - Food was piled up at the pass 15-20 dishes deep under the heat lamps. The guy validating the orders was doing a good job, but someone needs to pick up that food at the pass and get it to the tables so the customers can eat and move on. read more

McArthur's is a beautiful restaurant off the lobby of the Arizona Biltmore. They have really nice outdoor space, but on a Saturday night at the end of June that was not an option. We had reservations and were promptly seated, our drink order taken quickly, and followed soon after by our food order. I ordered the Asian salad and added (for an upcharge) grilled chicken. While the salad was delicious, it was more the size of a side salad than an entree salad, but with a well above an entree salad price tag. If you can stomach the prices and are staying at the Biltmore, you'll have a good meal, but it's not somewhere I'd go otherwise. read more
