If I could leave 0 stars I would. DO NOT USE FELDCO!!!! The salesman was nice, said they'd be able to fix our window. After 3 months we did not hear a single thing from them after putting down over $1000+ for a down payment. We reached out to them several times without any response. Finally, after a stern email, the original salesman responded asking if he could come to our place to inspect what work needs to be done and give us a quote... We sent them the original work write-up and a receipt of the down payment. Like, how dumb are you?!?!? After that, we got pushed around to a few different people. Finally, someone called us and said they aren't able to fix our window... The people they have working there must have IQs below 70 because they are some of the dumbest non-professional people. I had a really good experience with Feldco. I needed new patio doors and windows due to age, extreme drafts and fogging windows that were installed in the 80's. The salesperson Richard Sellers came out, discussed my issues, did his own analysis and measurements and then made recommendations to me that made sense. We worked on a fair price and I signed for the new windows. The installation happened on 8/17/21 by one of their installers that had worked with Feldco for 16 years. I had a lot of questions and the installer explained exactly what his installation would be like, plus he showed and explained to me why there were issues with the older windows and how the new installation would eliminate these. The new windows and patio doors look great, and the operation is so smooth that I can literally use my pinky finger to slide the patio doors. I should have done this years ago. Ordered a custom storm door based on the company's advertised slogan of Customer Delight. The door was not installed properly and have had a time consuming and difficult time getting the company to call me back to get someone to come back to fix the door. I would suggest that you look elsewhere if you are looking for a storm door. read more

The horror stories are true. Customer service is terrible. Had entire house installed 7 years ago. Lifetime warranty we were told. 1st, after install, 7 of the windows were installed terrible. You can't close them once they are open so we don't open those windows. When I called to tell them they said they will loosen over time. They never loosened and they want to charge me to come out to see the crappy installation. Today a window broke. The grasp to pull down totally collapsed due to how tight it's installed. Yes. 7 years and never loosened. Nobody informed us there would be a charge to come out and look at their broken product that was installed wrong. What a joke. This may not be the correct location but given it's a large ten-location business owned by the same people who started it, I don' t think they franchise. And all training is relatively the same throughout the company We requested replacement siding, possibly windows, exterior back door and definitely a new sliding. The consultant was there for about 2.5 hours and the quote ended up be thousands of dollars higher then the other quotes we received. My husband and I told him we need to think about, I was shocked by the pricing but I know the feldco name. We needed to sleep on it. He said there is a same day incentive (going-green) which I knew we were going to loose but it was only a couple of hundred and waiting to make decision was worth it. Even after saying (my exact words) we are definitely not making a decision today he continued try and make a sale and cut the price. In this reduction it included being allowed to take before and after photos, a sign in the yard and a review of the work. All fine I can do that but we're still not going to sign up today. It got to the point where I had to leave and go inside the house to move on with my day. It just became uncomfortable. The last time he tried to sell us he said bad decisions today will be bad decisions tomorrow. First, it's offensive when you receive life disciplining in your own home on matters which need to be discussed among family. And to think Feldco is the only company that would be a good choice is not only arrogant but also completely absurd. It got to the point I just stopped answering and my husband had to jump in and say no. After warning us we are at risk of losing the same-day incentive the salesman also said there was going to be a price increase in a few days. This was really upsetting. It felt like one tactic after another and I really just wanted to think about and sleep on it. How dare you try and scare us into buying your services? A quote should be issued and good for a standard amount of time, regardless of change during that time. He explained price increases usually happen in February but this year it's in September. This has nothing to do with me. If you wanted the new pricing on this quote then schedule this quote after the increase. The changes within the company are not my problem and should not be used as a pressuring sales tactic. He mentioned being able to give us the same price in a few days and taking the payment over the phone. There was a big spiel how he wasn't sure he would make it back out for signatures and now is the time kind of thing. I asked why in this day and age especially during covid this couldn't be done electronically. He said I can take the payment over the phone but I can't sign your name for you. This was also offensive. I'm fully aware you wouldn't be signing my name thank you but I have signed many edocs so I know this is possible. Don't talk down to me, it's not appropriate or appreciated Regardless of this, my husband and I decided to go with feldco. We texted a week later and said we would like to move forward. I asked how much the total was again and he said he would have to redo it with updated pricing. I explained we wouldn't be moving forward with feldco if the annual rescheduled, very recent, two day post-quote price increase affected the estimate we just given one week earlier. His answer was he doesn't have control over the price increase and the going-green discount was only good at initial visits. I wasn't concerned about losing the initial visit discount so I'm not sure why that was mentioned. Very pushy, imposing and just tacky relations. Bad. We did not end up going with Feldco. read more

High-end lock under warranty broke. Urgency of repair timeliness was stressed as this is our main front exterior door. Company said it would take fully 2 weeks to fix as they don't stock parts (poor service). An interim fix was put in place that secures the door but does not allow it to be used. VERY inconvenient. 3+ weeks later, the part is STILL not in and Feldco has not called us once with status. I've had to call them each time. Every time I do call, I get put on hold for long periods and transferred around. No one can help and really, their 'customer delight specialists' do not seem to care in the least. We had our front door installed one year ago. We started noticing that the door was sticking. We called Feldco and they made an appointment to send out someone to make the adjustment. This was all good customer service. As soon as the man arrived it went downhill quick. The serviceman was rude and seemed very annoyed at trying to repair the sticking door. After he made some adjustment I went to check it and I also asked my husband to try opening and closing it. Again the gentleman was clearly annoyed that we were checking his work. Our dog was barking at the time and he had the nerve to say "your dog just bit me, that is it I am leaving--bye." I immediately told him to show me where he was bit because I had our dog on a leash and I was holding it myself. I knew the dog did not get close enough if he wanted to bite him! He could not show us anything and then retracted and said our dog got his pant leg. This dog has never bit anyone! He certainly didn't get his pant leg. I think the guy was looking for an excuse to leave. I cannot recommend Feldco if this is how they train there staff to treat customers needing service. A shame because the door is nice---but customer service is just as important as a good product. No more Feldco fo us.!! read more

I ordered a beautiful door for my kitchen/back door . They measured then remeasured and somehow got the casing size wrong by an inch I was given an option of rescheduling my installation which is a pain because I already took off work only to be told that I should've let them do the install leaving a one inch gap all around the door in Chicago in January and that I would only be offered them fulfilling my contract what a joke this is my fifth and last time doing business with Feldco Still don't know how long I'll be waiting since we already waited eight weeks I was told it was the casing now it appears to be the door can't wait to part ways!!!! read more

Despite reading horror stories about Feldco, my experience has been nothing less than wonderful from start to finish. There were a couple of hiccups as far as times, but well worth it in the end. Here's my story... I bought a 1955 brick house last summer. My windows were as old as the house, 60 years... I called and had 3 free estimates from 3 different companies. I did my homework and read as many reviews as I could find, then talked to a handful of people; co-workers and neighbors who have had windows installed. As far as pricing and window durability, all three companies were about the same. Feldco did offer a few better deals and much better financing. By choosing them, I am ultimately saving a few thousand dollars. My salesman Jeff was very professional, knowledgeable, informative, and helpful -but not pushy! I respect that. I had an aggressive salesman before and wasn't into his sales pitch. Jeff also wasn't bad mouthing other companies and wasn't trying to talk me into something I didn't want or couldn't afford. Since Feldco was my last estimate, I decided that night to use them for all of my windows. There's a total of 15; half are oversized and one huge bay window. Jeff took measurements, but sent another guy John to get the exact dimensions for customizing my windows. I had my consultation in mid April, had the measuring done a week later. I followed up with Feldco twice, about a time frame to expect the install. I was told 4-6 weeks which ended up being 7 weeks. I was told the job would be done in one day and spill over into the next morning. The job was almost complete in one day.. Monday from 8am-8pm for 14 windows. There was a problem with my living room bay window which caused a new set of contractors to come back that Saturday, instead of the next day Tuesday. Oh and after my windows were ready to go, 7 weeks, I got my installation appointment that week. I was happy it was quick; I was getting impatient. Feldco uses subcontractors. Both sets of guys were great. The crew Monday was 4 amazing, hardworking, detail-oriented men. They set up work stations in my front yard, put caution tape around the house, unloaded everything, put tarps down and plastic everywhere inside my house, then worked 12 hours. To remove my old windows and steel casings; there was broken glass. The guys cleaned up after themselves, inside and out. Each man had a task, and completed it with such ease. I don't remember all of their names, but the man in charge was Mark. Another man came by with a truck and hauled away all old windows and casings. The Saturday crew was only 2 guys for my bay window. That took 4 hours.. The subcontractors were Stanley and Paul; they also did a super admirable job even though Feldco changed the outside shape of my bay window. I wasn't happy at first, but have gotten used to the new "octagon" look. The inside is gorgeous!! (Mind you - the other 2 companies didn't even want to touch my bay window because it was such a big, messy job....) Oh and the night before installation - I moved all furniture 1-2ft away from every window and covered most of it with plastic. So the guys had clear pathways to work... Permits are required for almost everything I do to my house. Feldco pulled necessary permits from the village (funny because Brookfield did drive by asking for it...) Feldco took real good care of me. I love my new windows and new wooden frames!! I wasn't able to open the old windows before, my Nicor gas bills in winter were outrageously high, and my ComEd electric bills in summer were too high. I've only had my windows a few weeks now, but already notice a difference of temperature inside my home. I was told by Jeff and John (salesman and measuring guy) that my walls could be damaged at the time of installation. There was very little damage to my walls, and what was slightly damaged - the subcontractors fixed/patched. I have to repaint my walls and stain the wooden casings anyway.... But the finished product still looks amazing. All in all, I am extremely happy with Feldco. I will recommend them to all of my family and friends. I have no issues and every window opens/closes smoothly, locks properly, and fits tightly in place. They were installed great. There's no gaps, no air coming through, no water from rain seeping in, etc. I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. There were a few hiccups with time and appointments but all was resolved, so I have no complaints. The Village of Brookfield had to come inspect everything and I passed (woohoo, now I can remove all stickers and clean my windows, heh).. I will use Feldco for any future projects, if need be. Also - I have a transferable lifetime warranty in case something does happen to one of my 15 new windows, but I'm pretty sure I'll have these windows forever. Buyers beware, you might think that you're getting a decent product when you pay the feldco price, but the French screen doors we put in two years ago for 3000 are already falling apart. Two of the fo hinges on one of the doors fell to pieces on my porch. If that isn't frustrating enough, the firs person we spoke to said It was "absolutely covered " but when someone finally called back to schedule a service appointment they charged is $80 For the service call before anyone would even show up. You would think a bigger company in the area would stand by its product, but apparently the door is covered but the labor we have to pay for even though they were the ones who installed it in the first place. Feldco should not receive a single star. I Wish I would've read the reviews before I contacted Feldco for a quote on a large siding job. On August 18, 2018 I signed a contract and provided a large deposit. A Few days later a guy came out to do the final measurements. On September7, 2018 my deposit was back in my account with no explanation. I called and was able to speak with the sales rep who informed me that my contract was cancelled because my building was too high and their installers did not have the necessary equipment. This sounds like a lot crap to me. What kind of business doesn't accept a job because of equipment? If you don't have it, you go out and rent it.I am disappointed with Feldco and I will tell everyone I know about my experience.Clearly, Feldco is not the company it claims to be. read more

Admittedly not an experience based on a purchase, but an experience nonetheless. I called and left a message with a service. They were incompetent. They took 12 minutes and essentially got my name, number and e-mail. I could get this information in 2 minutes. A rep called back (nice) and told me both home owners need to be present at the time of the quote. I firmly told her no. I'm busy, my wife is busy. ONE of us would be there. They were adamant. Seeing the other reviews, I understand why. They want a YES at the point of sale. They don't want consumers who vet other options, compare prices, etc. What a ridiculous business. Don't trust Feldco! They spend a lot of money advertising, but the installation is typically done on the cheap with inferior workmanship. They don't pay the installers very well at all, and it took 3 separate service calls to replace one defective window during the original installation. The seals are starting to break on our 5 year old Westchester town home association Feldco replacement windows, and the cost to have Feldco replace a window under warranty is very expensive and increases every year. If you can afford a better brand, I would recommend you do so. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would, but I have to give them at least one. Very disappointed and frustrated with the entire process. 9/4 when the installers arrived, they had the incorrect window and had to wait for the correct window to arrive. The window had scratches and glue marks on it. I attempted to clean the window, streaks are actually scratches. The glue spots are still on the window. There is a thick layer of caulk around the entire interior of the window. Our original windows don't even have that much caulk. I called Feldco the same day and was told someone would call me. By 3pm the next day, no one had attempted to call, so I called again. I reached out to our sales guy (9/5) to let him know as well. On 9/6 he stated he'd be contacting me after speaking to his operations group, haven't heard from him since. I was supposed to get the glass replaced on 9/28, but was called on 9/27 and was told that the glass was broken. I was told I would be called on 9/30 to get a new date for them to come out and replace the glass. I had to reach out to Feldco on 10/2 to get someone to tell me something because again they didn't call me when they said they would. This company tells you they care, but the only thing they care about is the money. 100% dissatisfied! read more

My Feldco remodel has been an absolute fiasco. I wish I would have checked into this company closer and read the reviews with the BBB. My new siding installation began July 6th of this year. Its been nearly 4 months now as I wait for my 3rd crew to come out and fix this mess. Total amateur work. Loose siding and soffits, wavy siding, poor caulking, the corner trim around my windows is terrible and my siding is literally falling off my house as in laying on the ground. Not only that but the missing siding revealed big gaps in the styrofoam insulation they installed. I even had a wasps nest in the large gap in the insulatio. My salesman was extremely rude when I contacted him about the first crew as I panicked over what was happening to the house. No one of authority eBen came out to check on the installion crews. Now it sounds like my 3rd crew will be two guys for one day when there is no way Feldco can fix everything they screwed up on my house in a day. I'm upset, frustrated and angry. This whole job should be a do over. Extremely poor work. Still also waiting on them to fix the two storm doors they installed that have gaps around them. Unbelievable! read more

We just paid 24,000 for our roof, gutters, down spouts & gutter covers. This was put on our 1,400 square foot ranch home. We had problems from day one. We paid 1/2 up front and we were to pay the remaining balance when the job was completed. They put our gutters and down spouts on backwards. They shoved the male end into the female ends in a down ward motion. The water was coming out from the sides and bottom. There were many leaks into our garage. I have several pics to prove this. Plus they left 22 gutter screws right in front of our garage car door. We had to have them come out 3 times to fix these problems. Now we noticed when it rained that the gutter right in front of our main doorway has two leaks major leaks. Now they have to have someone come out a 4th time to caulk that gutter. Now let's talk about the last payment. We told them we would put a check in the mail. That was NOT good enough for them. They came out from Milwaukee all the way to Oconomowoc to pick up our check. They said they have to pay their employees. That tells me something. They need my money to pay their employees. That's very sad. They may do great work on Windows but roofs, gutters they do NOT know what they are doing. K read more

Feldco has to be the worst experience I ever had with an home improvement company. We signed up to replace four windows in our house. It took a long time for the windows to come in (can't blame them as its the pandemic) but once they arrived one was broken from the "factory". Being it was just the glass and what was being replaced was worse than the broken one, I told the installer to go ahead and install. He PROMISED me that they already knew of the broken window and had ordered the replacement sash for it. They sent one installer to complete the work (salesperson promised it would be totally completed in one day). Installer showed up at 8:30am and started the job. Around 1:30pm he states he has to leave for another job in a town at least an hour away. He has not completed the capping on the exterior trim but promises he'll be back tomorrow. We'll tomorrow comes and no one shows up. I called the main number and was connected to the installation manager and was told he doesn't know where the installer was and if he shows up "let me know". How the hell do you not know where your personal are is besides me but the installer ended up being here to complete the project two days later. We financed with their finance company for this project. They of course let them know two days later the job was done. Thankfully their finance company called to confirm because the job wasn't completed and I refused to pay until the work was done. Thankfully their own finance company agreed and was diligent in following up with me on Feldco's completion. Feldco tried telling them at least three times the job was done but wasn't. Just looking to get paid for an unfinished job. Finally after two different people came to install the new window sash the job is done. Best part Feldco's customer service team called me to see how they did. I told them everything I just told you and the promised a manager would get back to me to "make this right". It's been 6 weeks since we originally told them about this and we still don't have a window replaced after speaking to numerous people, including our original salesman. Biggest ripp off ever, i was going to get 7 hopper windows in the basement when they had the $1 dollar installation sale. It came up to $3,800 with a $2,200 discount, way to high even with the discount, knowing that exact same windows are at Home Depot and Menards for $55 to $88 per window. I just had a second estimate today from feldco in less then two months and now they have 2 windows for the price of 1 sale. I was thinking it was going to be cheaper since they are 2 for 1, but end up being way more then the first quote, this guys gave me $5,200 quote compare to first one at $3,800. If you guys selling each windown for $540 and you guys have the 2 for the price of 1, the windows should been $2,820 with installation not $5,200 you guys are the biggest scammers after Sears. We just had our front door replaced by Feldco, and our experience was as good as it gets. Our positive experience started at the first moment that we were contacted by Tom, our sales rep. He suggested some standard meeting times, but when I asked if he could meet early in the morning to accomodate my work schedule, he promptly moved his schedule around to accomodate. When he arrived (on time), he rememberd our first names and politely took his shoes off before entering the house. We met at our kitchen table and custom-designed the perfect door to meet our needs. There were way more options to choose from than I expected -- maybe 9 different decision points overall. He had lots of pictures and sketches of all the options, but what really impressed me was that he also had mini-cross sections of samples for several of the doors. We knew that they would build this custom for us , but I didn't realize that it would be of such high quality -- hand made by Amish craftsmen. The samples drove that point home for us. When they called back to schedule the install, again the process was polite, easy, and efficient. The work was all done in one day, and coming home that night I never would have noticed that a fairly major construction project had happened while I was at work. They removed the old door, all debris, washed all the glass and surfaces, and even cleaned up all around our front foyer & outside stoop when they were finished. The door that they installed is much better than the one we had inherited. It fits perfectly, and was well sealed on all sides and surfaces. With our previously door, we alwasy had a draft. With the new one, I put the match test to all seams and corners, and there was no movement. It is also much heavier and feels more secure, yet it's easier for my kids to get it open because it's hung so wall. We also have a storm door for the first time, which we will really enjoy wiht our dog. That front half of the house feels warmer, brighter and more secure now. Cosmetically, we received a bunch of unsolicited compliments from our neighbors. The color and style fit our facade much better, and one friend even said that it felt like we had changed the whole front of the house. I normally don't leave those construction yard signs up for too long after a project like this, but in this case we can honestly say that we were proud to use Feldco and were happy to let our other friends know about our positive experience. read more

Called to get estimate on 6'x7' replacement of 1 sliding door. NO problem with the sale guy 30 ish go getter good for him. He Said it was not a standard size ,special order. gave me price of $4500 for replacement, that's with free installation. I said that way too much and he made a 3 minute phone call. Lowered the price to $3100. What if I was dumb and signed the contract first? He was unable to give me anything in writing. Shady at best .I think not. read more

never have I been so disappointed with service as I am with Feldco. A year ago, I called them because I had a broken window latch. They said they would be out in a month. In the meantime, a second latch broke. I called and told them it was an emergency. It still took them a month to get to me. I was told I would get a call when parts come in . 5 months later, I called again. Nothing. Finally, a week ago I got a call that someone would be out. The day they were to come out I got a call saying they couldn't come and had to rebook my appointment for another week. This is after I had moved all the furniture. To say the least, I was not happy. Bought 4 huge windows spent 15k and let me tell you they are crappy windows. Buy one get one say no thank you... I've been trying to get two of my huge windows replaced for the last year because they can't repair them anymore just falling apart and one window is done nit installed the other one they forgot to order it because supposedly the manager that took care of the order left the company and they only see one window as needing to be replaced...lucky me. The replacement windows were ordered last year and still have not been installed. They do not stand by their products, it's hard to get a hold of any manager to resolve the second window issue in the meantime I'm getting water inside when it rains and in the winter it's freezing because it's not insulated right. They've already changed all the glass in the kitchen bow window and clearly it's nit making a difference. A good company is one that stands by their products and makes good on their promises. This company is unreliable, they sell you stuff but don't replace it as they should and I'd they do they clearly take their sweet time doing it. The new window I'm getting eventually is nothing like my original window which had design and inserts in the window... basically replaced with a cheaper plain glass window version...supposedly they don't make windows like that anymore... so again I paid a lot eventually I'll get it replaced but not the type I originally had. I would do my homework when it comes to buying windows from feldco. I'm filing a complaint with the better business next. I needed to have my patio door replaced and called Feldco. They were prompt in coming out for the estimate and pretty much on time as far as the date of delivery. VERY professional job with the INITIAL ORDER. So I ordered 5 new windows from them and expressed my desire for a RUSH due to the windows I currently had leaked every time it rained and was causing me mold issues in my basement. I showed the salesperson the issues I was experiencing for dramatic effect. That was MAY 27th. I have yet to see a window although I have received FOUR CALLS telling me my windows were in and dates were set up for install only to get a call the next day saying they were wrong and nothing had arrived. I purchased a sliding door and five windows 5 years ago the salesman's big pitch was "we are big company and will always come out and service the product no matter what" now I'm having problems with my sliding door and they refused to come out unless I pay them more money even though there's a lifetime warranty on the door. This is my second time contracting Feldco to do my windows. The first time was for my condo years ago. They did a fantastic job then too. My husband wanted to shop around but it didn't take long for me to convince him to use Feldco. The sales rep (I believe his name was Shawn) was such a cool guy. Not sales-y but personable. He made sure that we would be happy with what we chose. We got all our windows replaced before the winter hit, 6 total and did so right on time. The team that arrived to replace the windows were quick (I love speed!). The whole process from when I made the call to when the team left was painless. Sure there could be other companies that may be cheaper but I trust Feldco's service and reputation. We have our sliding doors that will soon need to be upgraded and there is no one else I will call to get the job done. read more

We needed to replace our storm door and decided to get a doggie door. The process was painless. The door is beautiful and sturdy. We have multiple dogs and opening and closing the original door we developed a fly issue. No such problem now. We love the door and the dogs absolutely love it! read more

We have had nothing but trouble with Feldco honoring their Warranty. They just told us that if they determine something is vandalism they won't cover it. We have a small crack almost like a small rock hit it, they want us to pay 200 dollars just to have someone come out to look at it. We do not know if it was vandalism and i don't trust them to tell me it is or is not vandalism. They can pretty much say what they want. So we spend 200 dollars out of pocket and they won't allow us to use someone local without voiding the warranty. Definitely not recommended if you want decent customer service. read more

I recently purchased a window with Feldco and Michael the representative was very informative on the products and services (I never knew that windows had gas in in them) :). The technician who installed the window was very courteous and efficient and I would refer any of my family and friends to Feldco. read more

We ordered a window and front entry door in June 2021 from Feldco, we then received an email on July 31, 2021 informing us that insulation would be on Monday August 2, 2021. So we took down all the curtains and blinds off the window to be prepared for installation yesterday morning but nobody ever came, we were told they would be at our house on August 2, 2021 between 12 and 2PM, nobody showed up. So my husband tried to call Feldco and had to leave a message and then I had to call two more times to leave a message to what happened. Not once did we get a call back. So I called customer service and apparently I called the wrong office but Katerina helped me out and she told me that someone reached out by text to us, my husband never received a text, but nobody every did yesterdays, we left three messages asking for someone to get back to us, not even this morning did I get a call back I had to call them again. Latonia is looking into this for us and told me that a manager would get in touch with me, but after reading these reviews I'm not sure I will get a message from the manager or will I get the product I paid for. So I can't even rate this company yet, I will have to sit back and see what happens, the reviews are so bad and I wish I would have looked at them before deciding to go with them. read more

I'm kinda pissed Feldco and it's not getting resolved. We spent over $20,000 replacing every window in our home. That was 30% off Feldco's "retail" price (or so they told us) so we considered it a good deal. Well, the day after we signed the contract I got a flier in the mail advertising 40% off all Feldco windows. When I called about it, they promised me a credit for $1,000 on my next purchase. That was annoying, but unfortunately, just the start of the problems with Feldco. When the windows were finally installed, we didn't get the windows we paid for. And when we complained and asked Feldco to live up to the contract? They offered us a measly $300 to keep the wrong windows. Of course we said no, we want the right windows and now we're in some drawn out negotiation and we STILL don't have the stuff we paid for. They tried to offer us a few dollars off on doing our garage door but lo and behold, there is nothing "in their notes" about that $1,000 off our next project they promised us. Big surprise. I do not recommend Feldo. The one good thing I will say is the sales guy we used, Jack, is a nice person. I don't think any of this BS is personally his fault. But still, beware, Chicago. read more
