I had the Slow Smoked Pulled Pork, it was moist, had great smoked flavor, and was mouthwatering delicious! It did not need BBQ sauce to help it out. The BBQ sauce however is also exceptionally good! My wife had the Slow Smoked Pulled Chicken sandwich, and it was delightfully delicious! The potato salad, baked beans, and mac & cheese were also particularly good. The staff is friendly, and service was prompt. Even though I live a far piece from here I hope in the future to visit this excellent BBQ Restaurant again. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves great BBQ. read more

My sister and I ate here yesterday. We got the special, which was brisket and two sides. I had mashed potatoes and gravy and baked beans. Everything thing was so delicious. They make their own bbq sauce, too! The owner brought out a taster of their Sliced Ball Tip, which I will be getting next time!! Melted in my mouth. We ate outside in the back, which was so nice with a breeze and nice atmosphere. I accidentally dropped my fork in the trash and he didn't make me get it outthank you! Also, they have a drive up window, so you can call in your order and they'll have it ready. I can't wait to go back, and will be taking all my visitors here!! read more

As Bbq places go, this place is towards the top of any list. The staff is beyond nice and friendly. The lobby is clean and neatly decorated. My meal was the protien bowl small beef tips and it was just like comfort food. Taste and presentation was nailed. They have lots of options and kid friendly. Did not expect this level of bbq in northern Idaho. Had the pulled pork, brisket protein bowl, mac and cheese and corn bread. Brisket and pork were well cooked and flavorful. The cole slaw worked well in the protein bowl. My kids requested a second order of mac and cheese and corn bread. I would remove a half star if I could, only because they don't offer the Idaho nachos anymore (maybe a bit harsh but I was looking forward to these). Enjoyed a great lunch today at this relatively new BBQ place, owned by a family that's been barbecuing competitively for over 20 years and their experience is evident....the food was great, prices good, and the service was friendly. Since I had decided to break my diet I figured I'd go all out and have the Idaho Nachos... I felt guilty as sin eating something so decadent but enjoyed every bite! The small order was plenty big enough for me but then I'm not a big eater normally. My friend had the 3-bone plate of ribs with baked beans and coleslaw and said it all was very good. Happen to drive by and was super glad to see they were open on a Sunday! We went in for dinner with five people, we ordered the six person family meal of two racks of ribs. The sides on the family size dinner are large and excellent portions for six people. The five of us could not finish off the meal. The secret recipe beans were incredible! The secret ingredient, made to order of Mac and cheese was also incredible. The cornbread was delicious. The corn on the cob was decent. The baby back ribs were very meaty and tasted excellent! The dry rub ribs were perfect, no sauce needed. If you choose to add their incredible bbq sauce to the ribs, I don't blame you; their sauce is top notch and incredible. Scott was awesome and explained all of our meal options. The staff was super pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this bbq restaurant, we are hoping to get a chance to go back soon! Delishhhh. Outstanding Ribs. Perfect blend of dry slightly moist rub is baked into every rib. You end up licking the rub off the ends of the bones, it's so delicious. Scott has been perfecting this recipe through the last 25+ years with fearless competition amongst his family rivals. I suggested he bring his rival family out for a bake-off and let us be the judge :-). Maybe turn it into a marketing event. Scott took the time to come meet with us at our "COVID-19 approved outside tables" on deck and chatted about his business. He made us feel welcomed, he was very appreciative of the business and was humbled and thankful for our praises of his accomplishments. The ribs aren't smothered in BBQ sauce so you can appreciated the flavored rub BUT he has bottles-a-plenty of his awesome Smokey, sweet and tangy BBQ sauce to smother them in, dip them in, or just dab them with. It too is delish. Sides: mash potatoes and gravy. Say good bye to Kentucky Fried chicken type of mash potatoes. Scott's are home made, every once in a while you come across a non smashed piece of potato to remind you it truly is home cooking. Went today for lunch. I had the brisket sandwich special that came out one side and a drink for $8. The sandwich was packed with meat. The brisket was chopped and while I prefer sliced the meat was very good. The pasta salad was fairly average, My wife got 3 ribs with potato salad and baked beans. She also got a chicken breast. The chicken was well season and moist. She gave me one of the ribs and it was great. The rub was flavorful and it had a good smoke flavor. It had a nice tug like a rib should and didn't simply fall off the bone it really didn't need any sauce. The potato salad was exceptional, my wife really liked the beans and said they weren't too sweet. The decor is nice and we sat next to the fireplace. We are fans and will be returning. read more

I was excited to have a new BBQ place in town and couldn't wait to give them a try!! Unfortunately, it was not a good experience... I love the location, the staff was excellent and their place is very clean!! The problem is their food is NOWHERE near worth their price!! For $35 we got 2 plates with 7 ribs each (half rack), 2 small styrofoam containers of BBQ Beans and three rolls. The beans were ok but seemed to be straight out of a can. The rolls are the same exact rolls I can buy at Walmart and they were cold! The ribs were supposed to be the star of the show but they were dry, had very little smoke flavor and I had to naw them off the bone!! Smoked ribs should be tender and falling off the bone, not so tough you have a hard time chewing them... If I'm going to spend this kind of money I expect utensils that are not plastic, fresh baked rolls and fresh food.... read more
