Party of 3 on a slow Monday night, and seems the regular chef must have been out, based on the food. Service was fairly slow and not very attentive, especially to drinks being empty. The meat portions were good-sized, so-so prep, but the veggie and potatoes were small and not well-prepared. No early-dining specials? I took my family to Fellini Cafe after seeing that they just open. Let me tell you, Fellinis did not disappoint. We started with the grilled italian artichokes which were out of this world. I had the chicken and eggplant which was unique and delicious. My mother had the veal parmesan which was pounded thin to perfection. All in all it was truly a fabulous experience. Patrizio (our waiter) was super nice and guided us through the entire experience. His italian accent and attitude made the experience extremely authentic. I'm giving 4 stars now. Though, once I return if the next visit is as good as the first I'll give 5. The place is an attractive place and is BYOB. We began with the bruschetta and bread they provide the table. Very good italian bread and tasty bruschetta. We then got our Ceasar salads that were huge! Definitely enough salad for two...I ordered mine with some anchovies and the Parmesan cheese offered finished it off nicely. A third had the mozzarella/tomato salad which was also huge. I had the Shrimp Scampi which was excellent! There were six nice sized shrimp and the dish was perfectly balanced with garlic. The other person has Chicken Parmegian which was probably THE BEST I've ever tasted! A nice sized chicken portion with a side of pasta. The third person's pasta Carbonara was to die for! We finished off with desert (lemon cello and canoli) which were also excellent. The service was very good. Noise level was pretty high. There is no music. read more

I have been to this location at least 5 times since it has opened and I am shocked at some of the bad reviews. I love the Newtown Square location, but prefer this new one for the more open floor plan and additional space you have. I have gone on both weeknights and the weekend, and have never waited more than 10 minutes to be seated. We always get our wine opened immediately, bread and bruschetta on the table right away. Servers are friendly, and attentive. Host/manager is friendly and stops by to see how we are doing. Most importantly, the food is awesome! I would sell my soul for the recipe for the salad dressing they used on an arugula salad special that we tried. Ravioli with aurora sauce is outstanding, chicken Marsala was delicious. It was our first visit to Fellini Cafe in West Chester. The fried calamari with marinara sauce was a good start. Long strips if calamari- I usually prefer tentacles but this was fresh, hot and yummy. I had the winner dinner - rigatoni with sausage and mushrooms in red sauce. My dining companions tried something new- chicken saltimboca- tasty but too lemony for my companions taste. Ravioli bolegnese was a good choice too. No room for dessert. BYOB, always a good thing for us. We'll definitely be back. read more

The food here is great but I feel like their menu is really Americanized. My boyfriend's parents love this place so we have been here a few times with them. Everytime we go I am disappointed all over again at how pasta-centric the menu is. The last time we went I got lucky with a great lamb special but I feel Italian food is so much more than just big dishes of pasta. To be fair they do offer a side of pasta or vegetable if your order from their carne section but that consists of all your various Parmesan options. In summary this place is great for what it is but I have been to far better Italian restaurants that show the full range of Italian cuisine. read more

I had dinner last night with 3 people. Food was ok, service was terrible. From the minute we arrived the owner was rude and high strung. The waitress was pushing us out the door through the entire meal despite there being open tables. They even shut the lights off in our section while we were eating. I asked the owner why he was pushing us out and he said it was because he needed a drink and pretty soon he will be kicking everyone out! At Fellini's they serve any type of Italian food you could imagine. It's perfect if you're just looking for a good pasta with tomato sauce. Fellini's makes their tomato sauce straight up from fresh tomatoes.Fellini's serves outstanding appetizers, one of my favorites is the antipasti dish. The antipasti dish has cheese, artichokes, bruschetta and many more. You can get so many different things there. If you're craving seafood, you can get seafood on your pasta. The service was great there. The waitress was so friendly and never made us wait. Everything runs very smoothly. Fellini's is kind of pricey but not too out of your price range. They serve expensive meats which puts the price up a little. The restaurant is a decent sized place with a little bit of decor. There are a few pictures and plants around the restaurant but it was still very nice. Fellini's fit my family's party of 11 and still had many more tables. My family thought there would be more people in the restaurant than there was. There weren't a lot of tables filled. It's very quiet, so you didn't have to talk very loud. read more

SOUR FOOD & BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE: I have been to this specific Fellini location a few times and my experience has generally been good. After tonight, I will no longer be returning. We ordered our usual grilled calamari in a white wine and lemon sauce. It had zero flavor, hardly any sauce/garlic, and was incredibly fishy-tasting. Then my very basic entree came out: linguini pomodoro. Hard to mess up, right? Not for them! The sauce had a super strange and incredibly sour/bitter taste. You could smell the weirdness on the plate before I even tasted it. I took about 2 forkfuls and sent the rest of the heaping portion back. I told the waitress about it and she smelled my entree and agreed that it smelled "off." So the bill comes, and the manager still charged me! $9 instead of $15. And I didn't even get the rest of the heaping portion to go. So basically, I paid $9 for 2 small forkfuls of spaghetti. Also, we were the last couple in the restaurant and we left BEFORE THEY CLOSED, but they were in such a rush to close that they turned the music off halfway into us eating the entrees. What an awful, uncomfortable experience. We won't be back, and neither will our families! read more

My family just had a large get together at Fellini's and it was a great experience. It was a pretty large party, there were about 60 of us, which can be overwhelming for some restaurants, but the servers were on top of everything! The service was excellent; both professional and friendly :) and the food was delicious! It's a BYOB which is always great. I highly recommend Felini's for large parties or for a great local dinner spot! Definitely try the chicken parm and the Caesar Salad..they are both so delicious! read more

Food is still good. Service has collapsed. Waited over ten minutes to have a server greet us an bring us wine glasses. Restaurant was not even full on a Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. so that's not the problem. Ordered two entre's. Chicken parm came, the pasta with crab and shrimp didn't arrive until I finally got up and asked the host to look into it. When we left we passed a table of 6 where three had their entres, two had their sides only and one had nothing. Although there were several servers working they seemed to stay in the kitchen. As always the food was very good and reasonable prices, but the service/kitchen has serious management problems. read more

This is a fine example of a neighborhood Italian restaurant. The decor is modern, clean and bright. The food was high quality and the service was friendly. We had a group of 5 and everyone enjoyed their dinner. As it was Saturday night, a reservation allowed us quick seating. The restaurant was packed with locals who knew the staff and were greeted with smiles. Although we live more than 45 minutes away, we are planning on coming back soon. read more

Fellini's Cafe is a great spot for a celebration dinner. The space is beautiful, the staff attentive, the food both delicious and generous. Bruschetta arrives as soon as diners are seated, topped with perfectly seasoned tomatoes. The salad greens are beautifully shaped into cones held up with marinated onions. Listen carefully to the specials. The chef is creative with salad additions. Perhaps my favorite in the asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and grilled. They serve the full gamut of Italian favorites, from tagliatelle with mushrooms to gnocchi in vodka sauce to veal involitinni, tender cutlets stuffed with Gorgonzola and spinach. The chicken Milanese rivals any I've eaten. The chef offers the option of a side of spaghetti or vegetables with meat dishes, and it's a tough choice. Italian restaurants are not noted for desserts, but save room for the tiramisu or cream puffs. Or the limoncello parfait. Sigh... read more

Had a really good meal with my wife tonight. Service was excellent, decor is clean, simple and appealing. Wife had veal saltimboca (sp), veal was very tender and sauce was good though I personally prefer a bit richer/browner sauce. I had linguine with mussels and it was fantastic. Roughly 20 perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned mussels ringed a plate of (homemade, if not certainly fresh) linguine with a marinara sauce that was both simple and delicious. BYOB is a great way to dine and so close to home plus reasonably priced makes this an obvious go to place for us going forward. Looking forward to trying some of the other appetizing meals we saw coming out of the kitchen. read more

We went to the restaurant New Years Eve with a reservation. Part of our party was running late. The owner was quite upset about our party not being complete when they sat us. So much so, that he confronted us several times in 15 minutes, telling us we lied to him and disturbed his table flow. He actually shook the table and removed it from our area. He was yelling and when we expressed our concerns he said sad "I don't care if you ever come back" Needless to say, he has lost all of our party (and anyone else who we tell).
