On behalf of my mother: I had a horrible experience at Fellini Cafe due to poor treatment by the manager about 2 weeks ago. We had 2 dishes messed up that night. I ordered the veal Parmesan and they ended up giving her chicken instead. The waitress remembered that I had ordered veal, and couldn't have been nicer when she profusely apologized and offered to take the dish off of the bill. When we got our bill, the dish wasn't on there, like we were told. We had looked at the bill and were in the midst of getting our money out. Here's where it got weird. A man who worked there, he seemed to be important, came over and took our check. When we said that we hadn't finished paying yet, he said something like "I know" and walked away with it. He then came back with it, put it down on the table, and walked away with no explanation. Turns out he had put the meal back on the bill. We were SO flabbergasted that we didn't know what to do. We just paid it. I don't know why he didn't just explain to us what he was doing, but if that's the way their management operates I think I won't be going there again. If they treat their customers like that, I can't imagine how they treat their employees. Also parking is at a premium and the atmosphere is typical. Food is also typical. read more

This is our go to for a good Italian meal. Manny does a great job with this local neighborhood BYOB. Family loves coming here and we all leave full and satisfied. Great Italian food at great prices. Service is good and the restaurant is clean and lively. My favorite is past al la Norma and the specials are always delicious. We have been regulars at Fellini Cafe in West Chester for years. After tonight's meal, I might not be going back. From the get go, our waitress was scattered and not paying attention to our table. She brought bread, which was stale, but forgot the water, so she ran off. We had to ask about the January special (half price appetizer if you order an entree, in case you don't know). Then the service was extremely slow, over 45 minute wait for our table of two ordering Chicken Piccata and Chicken Milanese. Our entrees were delivered to a different table. They had ordered Veal Milanese and grouper, so it was an honest mistake, but while they were able to get the Chicken Piccata to my husband, the people at the other table thought the other entree was correct. By the time I got my plate, the food was cold, and I believe it was veal, not chicken, so I don't know what the other table had. When I mentioned the slow wait, our waitress (someone I'd never seen) didn't apologize. She lied to me--she said there was a large party, over 25 people, seated in the other side of the restaurant. And she blamed the chef ("Oh, she's new and she didn't listen to me") rather than take responsibility. Of course, I went to the ladies' room just to see. There were two big tables, one of 6 and one of 7, but no where near the size she claimed. And why lie about something that was so easy to see? This same waitress tried to upsell us to one of the specials, something that is never necessary because usually everything is delicious. While we waited for our food, our waitress spent the entire time on the computer rather than checking on tables or (gasp) even helping serve the "huge" party. The owner was not there this evening, so I guess this was a case of when the cat's away, the mice will play. So disappointed after we've had such good meals in the past. read more

Not a stellar experience really. The food was very average , nothing exceptional, the service was good but the overall experience was poor. There is lousy signage to get into the restaurant and when the restaurant is busy the parking gets full. I had to drive around the restaurant, when we finally found out how to get in, three times before I got a spot where someone left. The ambience is very ordinary, like an upmarket Salad Works but nothing special at all. To compound our less than magic experience I then get an email from Open Table saying I had not turned up. Having written this review they may well wish I had not. They don't have to worry, I'm unlikely to be back and I suggest you think seriously before you go as well. read more

first and last time we"ll go there!! A sunday afternoon lunch was extremely disappointing. The chicken, brocc rabe "panni" came out on a bun that wasn't as good as the table bread,aand c ertainly was NOT a panni. The chicken (breaded cutlet) was almost non-existent. Including the breading each of the two "cutlets" were at max 1/8 of an inch thick, so $10 bucks for largely a bun, cheese, roasted peppers and brocc rabe. BurgerKing down the street would have been better on product and cost!!!. For our other meal, The server told my date that the veal piccata platter came with both brocc and cauliflower, but WHEN SERVED the server said the cauliflower wasn't prepared yet and offered no alternative, Then, while a generous portion, the broccoli, with no advice from the server, was ladened with garlic. Fortunately we averted an adverse allergic reaction to the garlic and had to return the side for a little plate of pasta instead of the promised two vegetable sides that lead my date to order the veal ($16), rather than getting a sandwich in the first place! Bottom Line - Won't go back again. There are too many restaurants nearby that serve a good meal at a fair price that you're glad to pay, rather than getting fleeced at fellini's!! read more

Absolutely amazing! We were a little disappointed we didn't know it was BYOB or we would have brought some wine, but other than that it was amazing! We split a caesar salad to start and they are nice enough to bring it on separate plates and it was the perfect size. The portion sizes were incredible for the price and everything was really great. My fiancee and I were seated quickly with our midweek reservation. It went downhill rapidly from there. The lighting was harsh, and when an employee dimmed it slightly, the manager came right over and turned it back up. We were seated by the window, and the flashing open sign was a distraction. The water was poured, the bread and brusccetta delivered, and the specials were read, all at the same time by 3 different staff members. It felt like a Indy pit stop. The breakneck pace continued throughout the meal. Dishes delivered just as the last bite from the previous course was being swallowed. I personally like to have a slight pause between courses.... to catch my breath. The food: The bread was INEDIBLE, texture like it had been microwaved. I flagged the manager who said he knew it was bad, and that they would be fixing the problem soon... he said that it was the same bread they used at their other location where they have a pizza oven to freshen it up. He told us they didn't have a pizza oven here and that they had to use the bread warmer.. After he walked away it hit me. They serve pizzas here! Calamari Friti was very good, delicate breading and quite tender. The accompanying Marana sauce was superb. Portion was ample. Should have stopped there... The Ensalada con Calamari was tough and underseasoned, we muscled our way through as we were quite hungry. As I said before, the entrees were out before our salad forks were down. The Veal Piccata... I was stunned! Staring up at me were 3 pieces of veal that were in danger of getting crushed by the capers. The "outside " pieces were approximately 3"x1-1/5" (half the size of a small pancake), the smaller one in the middle actually made me laugh! It was tiny! The size of a carnival ticket! In my estimation the whole dish would have been less than 2oz of meat. I call the manager over (again), and was told the dish is prepared with the most expensive cut of veal, and that was the correct portion. $20 for six bites! It was cooked perfectly, and the lemon caper sauce was nicely balanced. Veal Parm was average. Cheese was a little firm. Desert was fantastic. They get their pastry from Dolce. Had the tiramisu and the canoli. Wrap: Don't like being rushed. Don't like inedible things on my table. Don't like bird portions. Manager comped the desert, bill still nearly $70 Too many good choices for Italian fare in the area for me to eat here again. read more

My friends and I have been to the Media location multiple times and we loved it, so we decided to give the West Chester location a try. Long story short, we were incredibly disappointed, both with the food and service, and will not be coming back. It took us an hour to be seated, despite having reservations. When I first came in, the hostess apologized and merely said they were a little crowded, and to check in with her once our party had arrived. Not once did she give me an estimated wait time. Once my party arrived, maybe ten minutes later, she said there would be a little bit of a wait, and we were not seated until forty minutes later. Once seated, we waited another 15 minutes to place our order. We also brought our own wine, and the waitress opened the bottle for us, but never gave us wine glasses. We had to ask for them, twice! Our food came out slowly and when we asked for bread, which should have been included with our mussels, they were stale and cold. read more

The waitress was disagreeable and my salad never came out and when it did it was the wrong salad. It's BYOB so the waiter immediately opened our bottle and brought water. Bread followed shortly thereafter. To the Yelp reviewer who said they bake their own? Fuggetaboutit! It's Amorosos and it was weak. Butter - no dipping oil. They also brought two pieces of bruschetta which was a nice touch. We devoured our mista salads - large portion with great dressing. Easily, the hit of the meal. For my main course I ordered the shrimp over linguini in what was supposed to be a fra Diablo red sauce. When it was delivered no red sauce was to be found - or fra Diablo heat. Im guessing the chef forgot to drain the water from the pasta. My lady ordered shrimp scampi - but it had no garlic taste. Instead, it was shrimp and pasta that had no flavor in a watery Tomatoe sauce. Total disappointment. Should have gone to Cascata or better yet, Frankie's On Fairview, which is putting out Delco's best Italian food these days. read more

This place opened up at the old Mythos location which was good but expensive. I'm not sure if this Fellini's is connected with any of the other ones in the area. It is BYOB. We were seated and treated by our waiter, a nice gentlemen from Greece actually. Right off the bat we got complimentary bread and bruschetta. I picked up the calamari insalata and a chicken entree (forgot the name but covered in mushrooms, onion, prosciutto, and cheese). Both were great. This isn't your standard "Americanized" Italian food and the menu looked very diverse. I'll have to throw this into the rotation of new Italian spots popping up in the area. read more

I have never written a review on a site before this! I have to say this was the worse dinner we have ever had. There were 6 of us and no one had a good dinner. One ordered the fish special and it was unrecognizable, I ordered the carbonara and it was chalky, no favor and pasta was a day old and the others hardly touched their meal. The asparagus severed with the fish was mush! I have no idea why we brought our dinners home because they went right in the trash. The waitress was new and young, no fault of her own, but she could not even tell us about the pasta types we asked about. Yesterday was my daughters baptism and after many recommendations from friends in the area we decided to host our special event at Fellini's of West Chester. We were not disappointed! Our food and service was amazing!!! Also the restaurant is BYOB and they kept all of our bottles ice cold! The manager Manny was so accommodating from the start and ensured our event would be special and perfect! He delivered on this 100%! Everyone loved their dishes and they couldn't believe the size of their portions! True Italian style servings :) We had the greatest experience and I can't wait to go back again and again. Went on a Saturday night in September during Covid. Called ahead to verify no wait for tables. The gentleman who answered the phone was professional and greeted us when we entered. We sat with Sarah and she was beyond amazing answering our many questions...we are picky eaters. We ordered chicken piccata wow 4 large pieces of chicken in one of the best piccata I have ever had. I had a side of pasta in the red sauce that was also perfect- great flavor and not to salty. We also ordered involtini fellini - veal rolled in spinach in the best Gorgonzola cheese cream sauce. The side with that was angel hair in a garlic and oil sauce. Overall an amazing experience. BYOB is an added bonus. read more

She read us the specials and promptly took our orders but we could hear her gossiping to her little friends about her drunk college escapades when she was standing at the cash register. Aurora sauce is beyond amazing. I would definitely suggest. Do not skip on dessert the Lemoncello flute is wonderful bite after bite and completely different from anything I've had before it's completely subtle and not overwhelming like some lemon desserts. We had a large party and the restaurant was very accommodating. I had the chicken marsala and it was cooked to perfection. Everyone in our party was thrilled with the meals. The bread was awesome. The salad was the best I've had in a long time! It was perfectly chilled and the dressing was a traditional homemade Caesar and so delicious!
