Huge health and safety concern. Please avoid this place!!!! The owner fired most of her staff and replaced them with some youngster family members who just arrived from Vietnam with zero salon experience. My girlfriend witnessed them reusing paraffin wax on her bags!!!! it had old nail pieces and visible dirt inside. I left genuinely worried about what I may have been exposed to. I'm reporting this to the state board and I strongly suggest others do the same. read more

I had a bad experience with Elegant nails. Im a regular customer, and visit every other month for acrylic nails. This i booked an appointment for 2.30 pm for acrylic gel nails and pedicure. They made me wait until 3.15pm to even seat me in the pedicure chair. The pedicure began at 3.30pm . I had requested kelly to do my mani, and she attended multiple customers who came in without an appointment before she began with me. I spent more than 3 hrs which was a huge waste of time. And moreover the manicure kelly did was horrible! I asked for very specific nails, i showed her a pinterest image throughout the process. And what I ended up with was not even close. I went with a male friend to get pedicures and the overall experience with my tech was great. My tech was very professional and he did a great job. Unfortunately, the tech for my male friend was not as kind nor professional. My friend wanted to get his toenails painted and his tech refused. We both ended up paying full price but he didn't receive the entire service; in the end, the situation was not acknowledged and it made us quite uncomfortable. Not sure if it was how the tech applied the gel polish or just the gel polish quality but my nails are already peeling off the very next day. This has never happened to me in any nail salons in the past. Heck, even when I've done my nails at home they've lasted longer than 1 day. Disappointed! I came in for an appt for a fill with Helen and she helped me out right away when I got there. For the past few months I have been going to the same salon but my nails kept chipping on the ends. She did a great job and even took off some of the old acrylic that was lifting at my tips -- no other salon has done that. Previously they would just use nail glue as filler in between my real nails and the acrylic which eventually wears off and lifts again. She shaped my nails exactly how I asked and she did a great job applying the gel polish. This sounds like a basic task but I have been to a few other places that lack the ability to shape nails and adequately paint them. The salon is very clean and organized. It only took her about 45 minutes for everything. The prices here are VERY reasonable compared to other local salons, especially for the quality. read more

We came here after the salon down the street turned us away even though we had appointments. They accepted us right away as it wasn't busy (props to being open late as well). The salon itself was not super welcoming in terms of the staff or the interior. My friend got seated first and the nail tech went to work on removing her gel. Nothing was communicated to me, so I thought that she would work on me after she was done with my friend. We hung around for about 5 mins and then another nail tech came out to say she was ready for me. All I wanted was a hybrid gel removal. She went at it with a nail drill, no other prep work or soaking. Regretsss, my nails are soo thin and bendy now. I had to cut it super short because I was afraid they would break some more. My friend got gel nails and even her nails are so thin! Not what is expected from gel which usually gives a nice hard layer of protection. Sadly this is not the salon for me, which is a bummer since I live so close by! read more

I've been coming here with my girlfriend for years now and have always had great service from Helen, Nina, Mai, Jenny, and Mary. As a guy, getting pedicures is not as common as it should be but I've always been happy getting them done here from Nina. Parking can be hit or miss, especially during farmer's market Saturdays it's pretty full, but usually not an issue. There have been times when there are discounts for paying in cash, other times not. They were once staffed with skilled nail techs, but I find myself dissatisfied the at my recent visits. Another bad thing is, even if you make an appointment, they accept the walk-ins before you. Came here first time and got a basic gel pedicure and regular manicure which they charged me $73. The pedicure is pretty. Although theres nice hot stones massage, it was a shaky experience. At one point she pulled a piece of hanging skin on the side of my big toe nail and kept pulling it till it peeled off instead of just cutting it off. I was in absolute shock. The next day my big toe starts to hurt (the one where she pulled the skin off).. the pain became worse over time and now it is throbbing and red. Then on my other foot, my middle toe starts throbbing and hurting when I walk. Both my feet have a sore, swollen, red toe and it is difficult to walk. I don't know what to do. I have never had this experience after going to a nail salon. The owners are very sweet and nice so I am sad that this happened. read more

Most of these Nail techs are rude. The only one who can actually do nails is Helen and she's nice but usually booked so book ahead if you don't want to leave with ugly nails and uneven toes. This is my second time at this location, and I was happy with my nails during my first visit. I was in a desperate need of a fresh shellac manicure and Elegant Spa and Nails is close to my office, so I decided to stop by during lunch. When I arrived, I had to wait about 10 minutes. The nail technician was nice, but was a bit sloppy. At the end of my manicure, there was still nail polish on my skin. She put oil and lotion on one hand/arm, and just oil on the other one. I guess she was too distracted with her conversation to notice. Nail polish on nails varies on each finger, some are fully colored, others, partially. Would I come back? So happy they are open and have safe practices in place. Finally, can get our nails done again with worrying. My daughter and I had our nails done and were both happy with the work and the fact that they have invested in plexiglass barriers everywhere in addition to face masks and hand sanitizer. They practice social distancing between stations, keep the front door open to maximize airflow, and even have moved some stations outside. Overall, I was pretty impressed with this place. This was my first time and they are clearly taking Covid seriously. There are plexiglass dividers and all staff wear masks. I also saw staff members reminding another client's kid to cover his nose. The attention to detail was amazing and my nails came out beautiful. The only drawback was the price. I paid $90 (before tip) for a gel mani & gel pedi. In my opinion, this is a little steep in comparison with nearby shops. At my usual place, it would be $10 cheaper. However they do do a good job and are one of the few salons open so I shouldn't be complaining. Definitely would recommend! read more

This spa is superrrrrr busy after normal work hours so if you want to save some time, I would recommend coming in during off peak hours. I had called in advance but still had to wait a good amount of time to get a pedi. For cleanliness, they are great. They use liners for the foot tub so that is definitely extra points. I always wonder if it's really actually good for you to put your feet in whatever water + cleaner residue ... Anyway, the service is fast. They do a great job and don't rush even though they have tons of people waiting in line. They apply the polish expertly and while they do sometimes shuffle people around even after they've started, it isn't an issue. There is the usual nail salon smell at this place, which is probably from the acrylics. Free 3 hour parking in the lot, but beware they do mark your tires so I wouldn't stay in the same spot all day. read more

I've been here a couple times for a pedicure and both times it's just been okay. It's pretty easy to book an appointment and walk-ins are welcome. Staff members are nice but aren't super meticulous. I feel like they've left some parts of my toenails undone both times, finish really quickly, or low-key forget about you afterwards. Color selection is pretty slim for normal pedis but more options for gel (as expected). I don't highly recommend but def a good last min spot if you are trying to squeeze something in. read more

We had a nail appointment for a full set, a party of 5 and had to wait about 30-40 minutes. I got prices for 3 so I know how much it will cost me beforehand. It took longer than I anticipated as I was told it would take an hour because they have enough people. Our appointment was at 5:30 and we were there to past 8. When it was time to pay they left me there for over 20 minutes to pay and tried to charge me more than what was quoted. What we wanted didn't change. After a week our nails started to lift and started to come off soon after that. Overall, the nails were nice while they lasted, a couple were better than others. Didn't have a good experience while we were there, perhaps that wasn't a good day for them. I don't foresee going back. read more

Terrible. I used to be a regular when they first open then I stopped going for about a 1.5 years and just recently went back and remembered why I stopped going. Daniel, Wendy and Jenny I think we're the employees names. -very rushed...they didn't even clean my cuticles, cut or file my natural nails. They just glued the acrylic nails and put dipping powder on. Very sloppy work. - they openly mock make fun of you, point and laugh to their other co workers -very rude I was very disappointed I called in to see if they could take me close to closing as I could have gone next door to "Beauty Nail Fashion" or "Organic Nails Salon" but I thought I would give them business since they are the less popular salon on that street and bc the last 3 times wasn't the best but it wasn't bad . And boy did I regret it. I first called and asked if they could take me close to their closing time twice and they said yes just come it's ok and when I got there they spent the whole time annoyed, rushed..mocking. I'm never not one to care if the employees talk about you as they are doing your nails...but this time I couldn't even ignore it as much as I tried. I left with grace and still tipped them appropriately as I did recognize they stayed after hours for me. But I wish they didn't overcommit - left a bad taste in my mouth and will definitely be telling my mom and sisters to avoid this place from now on. I definitely recommend paying a small extra to go to organic nails and beauty fashion nail salons next door (same street) they are professional, deliver quality and treat you with dignity! read more

I've been here twice for an ombre dipping powder manicure. The first time was good but the second time was disappointing. For $65 I expected a regular manicure with dip colors. But he didn't soak or trim cuticles, remove the dead skin around the nails, etc. And on top of that once he was done with the nails he didn't even clean my hands. I was expected to go to the wash basin and clean my hands! The guy working on my nails wasn't meticulous and seemed to be in a rush. He applied the powder unevenly and didn't shape my nails properly. The dipping powder was still under and around my fingernails after I washed my hands. I asked to have it removed and he got annoyed. read more
