I booked an appt through Yelp for 4pm. I showed up on time and asked for a regular pedicure. It's currently 4:20pm and all I've done is soak my feet in water. The water is freezing. Many people have called to make an appt and the lady on the phone is NOT writing these down! They are turning away walk ins because there is only 3 staff currently working. The shop does feel a little outdated for example, I had to dry my nails with a fan but overall they did a really good job on both my nails and pedicure. Updated review 9.12.25 This was my second visit. I came in the evening at 5:30pm very different experience from my first visit. The staff was still super friendly and professional so that's always a plus. This time I was not offered to pick a combo so they may not have them anymore. I did a mani pedi with gel on my hands and feet. The lady who did my nails, Terri, did a great job cleaning up my cuticle and getting my shape and length correct and I only had to explain it once I didn't get the hand gloves and a hand massage like I did the last time, again maybe that was part of the #3 combo package. My medicure was done by Tina, this is my second time getting services from her, and she got me together compared to how I came in lol. I'm a little sad they got rid of their combos, me guessing because, I also didn't ask since it wasn't offered like it was my first visit. My next visit I will definitely ask. Last time I got hot stones, massage, etc and paid about $75, the price was $10 more this time because of the gel color. I gave them 4 stars last time and too bad Yelp doesn't allow for 1/2 stars I was only able to give 3 stars instead of 3.5 stars. Now, if after my 3rd visit I find out the services and prices aren't making sense to my pockets I may find another location where I can get a bang for my bucks. read more

I actually stumbled upon this place through word of mouth while walking around my dentist's office. Since then, I've been coming here for almost 4 years, and I always have a great experience. The staff is incredibly sweet, hardworking, and genuinely caring. They consistently do their best to accommodate me and my grandma, and we always feel welcomed and well taken care of. I believe they also do a good job handling any issues that come up with care and professionalism. I've seen them handle situations and communicate with their clients when there's an issue, and they have always been upfront and honest. I'm also awful at deciding what I want for my nails, and because I trust them so much, I usually just let them decide for me and they always do a great job. There's a comfort in coming here that feels like being remembered and cared for, not just as customers but as people. My grandma and I truly love this place and are so grateful for them. read more

One of my favorite salons in the area! Everyone is very friendly, you never really need to wait for a walk-in appointment, and their gel manicures LAST. For reference, I sat through a 3 hour Russian manicure at another salon that only lasted 2.5 weeks... at Petite Nail Salon I can easily go 1 month between appointments and be fine. Their "crystal gel" is amazing and I highly recommend it! They also don't charge anything for removing polish like many other salons do. However, I will say I once had a "normal" polish manicure here that barely last 1 week. So don't scrimp on the good stuff and go for the crystal gel. They accept card but prefer you tip in cash! read more

EDIT: I just got off the phone and I had AI customer service! The owner called me and apologized on behalf of the work I received and I was so grateful for her to offer me a $15 refund! Although the nails didn't come out to be what I expected, she explained that if I had the time she would redo them for me! Unfortunately, since I'm leaving to LA tomorrow that wouldn't work out. But it is the thought that counts and I am so grateful to have had that conversation. I'm changing the rating to five stars just because no matter how your nails come out they are always willing to help you out and fix it! That is so important when it comes to getting a service and it's a bit pricey! I definitely recommend coming but try to be verbal about what you want! The nails have bubbles in them. They weren't shaped correctly. She didn't even cut my cuticles. As for experience, I got in pretty fast, but it should've been a red flag when nobody was in the nail salon as well. I was charged $62 when I know I could've went somewhere better, but I decided to branch out if these nails fall off within three days I won't be surprised. The most amazing nail salon I have been to! My best friend and I got gel pedicures and we loved them so much! The price says $45 for their promotion but since we got gel pedicures it was $50, which is extremely understandable because gel takes longer to do and it lasts way longer! They made this pricing clear and it makes sense because any nail salon will similarly charge more for gel. They spent so much time paying attention to detail and were so kind. I am very picky about my French Tips and they gave me exactly what I asked for. 11/10 service and quality overall! We will be back!! read more

I teeter between 3 and 4 stars because the service was overall great. I was a walk-in at noon on a Sunday and luckily they only had 2 other clients at the time. I just needed a simply gel mani, and asked for acrylics on two nails because I had broken them. They were very kind and asked me to have a seat and take my time picking my gel color. The nail tech that helped me was kind, though she didn't speak to me too much. She was great because she was really focused on working on my mani, but she was a little too aggressive with the nail file. At first it was fine, just a little harsher than I've had before. At one point I thought the acrylic tip she put on me was going to fall off because of how hard she was filing my nails. The gel mani went well - two bottom coats followed by two coats of color and a top coat. She did a great job, however after the gel cured she went back to file my nails again and somehow ended up filing too hard and cut me. It stung and I told her that it hurt so she stopped filing. For a simple gel mani, this place will do. It was $33 for the gel mani and $5/acrylic nail that I had to get done. I'm slightly hesitant to come back because of how aggressive she filed my nails but would probably give them another chance and let the next nail tech know if the filing is bothering me. read more

The BEST nail salon in the Bay Area!!!!!! Hannah is my favorite person ever, she is the owner of the salon and her and her husband are the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met. I have gone to this salon for years and I can tell you without a doubt (as someone who has gone to multiple nail salons around the bay) that this is the best one. All of the ladies there are so kind, talented, skilled, and amazing at what they do. The ambience and energy of the nail salon is so serene: peaceful and energetic with such a gentle atmosphere. The salon itself is wrapped in peachy pastel walls and adorned with decorations for the holiday season, followed by heavenly and relaxing music as you get to get your nails done. I myself am not a pink or white nail color girl. I love having orange, yellow, red, brown...bright nail colors. I'm really sad to be writing this, because I really did love going to this place. But I feel scammed, I went in to do their combo, which is $45 for a manicure and pedicure, which is posted on the window outside. Then I asked while she was doing my nails how much would it be to do gel only on my toes, because I don't want polish on my hands, just my cuticles cut. She said five dollars so in total $50. That is what I was led to believe, when I go to pay now, it's $50 for just my toes and $18 for cutting the cuticles on my fingers. I tried defending myself, and they said no no it was only $50 for the toes and $18 for the manicure (which I didn't really want but since it was a combo why not). I wanted to share an update. After one week all my Nails started lifting. They still look hideous if not more than what I was left with. This place is mediocre at best. All the good reviews are from the most basic gel manicures (LOL!) which is not considered or on par with true nail artistry. I did my nails during the lockdown with a kit from Amazon even better than this garbage which says a lot about there ability to even provide adequate nails services and art. There's many bad reviews about the the most basic gel manicures and pedicures being completely botched! Don't expect anything more from this place. It's a joke and laughable at most. Please look at all the other "art" they tried on other ladies and completely botched. It's like paying for customer service. Some people go to Walmart and others go to Whole Foods. Well this doesn't even meet Walmart minimum standard. This is the dollar tree of nails. You get what you pay for! Don't be fooled by cheap prices. It reflects in their ugly work and there's so many customer photos to prove even the good reviews where people are praising their work! When I first moved to San Jose, I tried out a few different nail salons, but couldn't find one that I really liked. I'm so glad I finally found a place with great customer service and attention to detail! I was a little nervous at first going back to get my nails done, but here are the COVID-19 protocols I've seen them taking: 1. Wear a mask (obviously) 2. Only 3 customers allowed at one time 3. Customers wash their hands before signing in 4. Temperature checks 5. Disinfecting seats and surfaces 6. Plexiglass between station and nail techs I always make an appointment beforehand, but they also take walk-ins if they have the capacity. Prices are fair, yet the massages could be a little longer. Overall, I appreciate all of the work Hannah and her staff have gone through to meet the proper guidelines. I'll definitely keep coming back! read more

Honestly horrible customer service attitude, even worse skill execution. I asked for gel different colored french tips + 1 red flower on each finger (used a reference pic). Total cost me $53, not including tip. First of all, that's wayy too much for gel, even for design. I've been a repeat customer pre-covid, and even though the price shocked me, I decided to give it a go since I was already at the salon at that point and wanted to support them during covid times. I honestly wished I went somewhere else, they will no longer be having my business. First, the french tip kept being asymmetrical, and I was given attitude when requesting it to be redone to be symmetrical. I honestly don't think I was asking for much, for french tips to just be symmetrical and not obviously skewed? Then came the flowers. By that point, I got tired of asking for the execution to be redone and for it to not be executed well enough repeatedly. However, the flowers were just done so haphazardly, always lopsided even when given a reference pic. Lastly, she started attending to a different customer while finishing up my nails (even though I had made a reservation) and though she swore she had put on topcoat (not even gel anymore for the flower though I paid for gel nails ?), in the coming week, the flowers immediately started chipping. See pics below, first pic is after 1 week, second pic is after 2 weeks. As someone who usually gets gel nails, they always last me 2 weeks before starting to chip. I wanted to support them, but returned to sadly witness that they raised their prices, but have not matched their attitude and skillset level to match this new standard. The entire process took me around an hour (way longer than I'm used to for gel nails), and left me exhausted and dissatisfied. read more

I just stopped by Petite this afternoon to have my acrylics removed. I called in advance and the owner Hannah was very nice and accommodating when I showed up a few mins late. This was my first time having acrylics removed so I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of service provided and pain level. Overall it wasn't too bad. My nail tech was very efficient! I was in and out in 20 mins. She cut my acrylics, filed the polish down, and then pried off the acrylics. I let her know that I didn't want a manicure, but as part of the service she cut and filed my real nails and gave them an oil refresh, which was pretty sweet. I had a great experience here getting my acrylics removed! read more

Nice place! I've been going to another business in the same plaza to get in cartridge for my printer and I always see this place. I walked in without an appointment and luckily there was only one customer that was being helped. They greeted me and I let them know I was looking to get a gel manicure. I was seated at the first station and I was helped by Jenny. I let her know that I wanted glitter ombre with full glitter on my ring fingers. I showed her a photo and she knew exactly what I wanted. While she was removing my previous manicure, she noticed that one of my nails was really thick. She asked me if it was powder, and I said no. Then she noticed that some of my nails were filed too much which is the reason why one of my manicured finger nails looked so thick. She was very quick with removing my old manicure after letting it soak for a little bit. I'm so happy that she soaks it first! There are some nail salons that I have been to where they just pry off manicure with tools or even scrape it with a tool. I know that's very bad for your nail beds, so I'm glad Jenny didn't do that. She was very quick and she let me look at my nails before curing them under the UV lamp. There was another lady that came in and I'm guessing that she's the owner. She walked in and greeted me and make conversation with me for a little bit. She even thanked me for coming in when I told her it was my first time there. And she even said "I hope you enjoy your manicure!" She's very sweet! I will definitely come back as long as the service and cost stay just as amazing as it currently is. I have gone to other nail salons where I would return and they would charge me more for the same service I previously had or they would make me get a service that I don't want. A hidden gem! The work they do here is superb. I used to be a regular at another nail salon, but was only satisfied with my manicure about 20% of the time (I tried 5 different times with 5 different manicurists). At that place, I always had to point out that the rounding was lopsided or nail colors weren't evenly applied. Upon a visit to Voyager Coffee next door, I noticed this salon and decided to stop by. Although I wasn't sure what to expect, I definitely didn't expect this- my nails were sooooo well and thoroughly done! The round shape was even throughout on all nails without my having to point things out to the manicurist. The coats of paint were evenly and meticulously applied on every single nail. They even have a drying system to dry your nails between each layer. It's such a thought out and well-executed system, they got themselves a new regular :) Thanks for a great service, looking forward to more beautiful manicures in the future :) read more

Hannah and her nail spa are the best around! She always shows a huge amount of attention to detail and ensures that you like your shape and color. The spa is very clean and comfortable. Their selection of colors is amazing! Any shade you can think of is there, be it in gel or regular polish. The manicurists are all excellent and I've only had positive experiences in my visits there! In addition, if you have a color at home you'd like to use, they allow you to bring it in for your service. I love this as I've bought a few colors after seeing them at Petite Nail Spa I especially appreciate how gentle Hannah was in removing my dip powder nails as I switched over to a OPI nail polish, at other salons I've had them roughly drill the dip powder off.
