    The whole lot

After talking about it for several months. we finally got around to trying Felt. This delightfully upscale and comfortable space was pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon but we like to eat early for this exact reason so it wasn't exactly surprising. We started off with drinks, a glass of rose and an Otto Spritzer which was delicious and refreshing. This place is pricey and we were also trying to keep our diets in mind when perusing the menu so we leaned on the happy hour food specials quite a bit for our first time. I hate it when I try someplace new and the food is expensive AND turns out to be disappointing. It turns out I had nothing to worry about because the food here absolutely wowed us both. I had the watermelon salad and gazpacho de aguacate which, is really not a soup at all and is more of a dip. It even comes with house made chips, which were light, crispy and I believe baked instead of fried which made me feel better about eating them. Both were absolutely delicious. Quite spicy. I really liked that they did not hold back here. SO opted for the herby burger and andouille hush puppies from the happy hour menu. Both were absolute flavor bombs we won't soon forget. I nominate this burger as quite possibly SLC's best. I stole many bites. The fries were great too. Light and crispy. They were great dipped in the sauce they came with but were even better dipped in my 'gazpacho'. Service was good and everything came out quickly. Others have mentioned this is not always the case when they are busy but that is part of the reason we like to eat so early when popular places aren't busy so we rarely run into these issues. Join the revolution, friends. Or don't. I'm cool with never having to wait for a table. The food, cocktails and service absolutely delivered at Felt. We can't wait to go back and start eating our way through the rest of their menu.

We had the most lovely experience at Felt. We dined early so we missed the rush and also got very spoiled with the nicest staff, host, waitress, everyone was so friendly. I would actually give Felt 4 1/2 stars. Some dishes were 4, some were 5. Starters: beet pickled eggs - 4/5, good pickled flavor, I'm a beet fan, but I wish these were more of a deviled egg, with a softer inside. Green chili ravioli- absolutely delicious, soft flavorful pillows of deliciousness, and that amazing curry coconut cream sauce! 5/5 Seared scallops with polenta cakes - probably our favorite bites of the night! Perfectly cooked and seared scallops, and the charred polenta was SO good! Big 5/5 Charred Brussels - perfectly cooked and loved the honey bourbon glaze! 5/5 Cauliflower - big head, a little hard to cut through, we needed a sharp knife, but so much flavor 4/5 Fried chicken congee- my husband loved and devoured it, so much flavor and depth. 5/5 Togarashi salmon - salmon was cooked perfectly, loved the pistachios, I was just disappointed with the small amount of asparagus and the wilted spinach, for the price I would have liked some other more thoughtful sides to the salmon. 4/5 Overall, we loved our meal, the space is chic and cool, we will definitely be back, and will make sure to leave room for dessert!

This place has a cool, chic vibe & the staff were all super welcoming and friendly. They checked in on us often and refilled our drinks. For appetizers, we ordered the bread service which was focaccia bread with kimchi butter and I was pleasantly surprised with the butter, it was really tasty. For main, I ordered the hatch green chile ravioli and I gotta admit it was not my fave.. it was kinda sweet and I just don't want that when I have ravioli, but the lobster was delish. My husband ordered the elk burger and ate every single bite. The fries were also super yummy.

We went to here for date night, and they blew us away with amazing service, cocktails, and food. This definitely has a bar ambience--a bit loud but not too bad. We made reservations ahead of time, and had a beautiful booth waiting for us. Our server was super attentive and paced our meal well. We started with a few $17 cocktails--the Dublin, Ireland and Auckland, New Zealand. This is a bit on the pricey side for cocktails, but they were artfully crafted and worth the money. We had the Grilled Caesar as our appetizer, which was one of my favorite salads ever. Sadly they were out of the Tuna Carpaccio so we didn't get to try that. For entrees, I had the 7oz Filet Mignon, which was cooked perfectly and the sauce and potatoes were delicious accompaniments. My husband had the Elk Burger and ranked it one of the best burgers he's ever had. We paired the entrees with a Pisco Sour and one of the drink specials. The missing appetizer was a blessing in disguise as we finally had room for dessert and enjoyed a Cappuccino Crème Brûlée, which was flavorful and a wonderful end to the meal. The price came in around $180 before tip, and it was well worth the high price tag. We'll be back to try more!

Came with 3 other foodie friends to celebrate the end of the work week. Felt has been bookmarked on Yelp for a long time and it was the perfect excuse to finally go since white horse and whiskey street were affected by the fires a few weeks ago. Hoping the food would be similar to the other bars on the same street, I was in for a surprise. Pickled eggs- EXTREMELY salty and not in that vinegar way. It is worse than ocean water drowning the egg and the arugula. The egg was also overcooked which was gross. Mac n cheese - not enough cheese. Very dry. I wanted more sauce and hated that it was penne pasta. I should've asked prior to ordering so this was my fault. Shrimp n grits - it was good but I wanted more grits. Very small portion for the price. Sausage was overcooked and it was pretty dry. Elk burger - overcooked and burnt. My boyfriend asked for it to be pink and they ended up burning the burger and bun. They replaced the bun, but they didn't offer to remake the patty, even though he wasn't happy with the burnt taste. The fries were good though. Ravioli - it tasted undercooked? The pasta was still hard and not in the Al dente way. It was also very sweet which made me not like it. My friend said it was his favorite of the night. Pretzel bites - the pretzel bread were good, but I'm not a fan of beer cheese so I didn't like it. Disappointed with the taste of food and service. Most likely not coming back.

Amazing food, amazing staff, great atmosphere. This is a must try. So delicious. The truffle fries are delicious. Everything I have tried there has been so good.

Ambiance: romantic, low lit, modern interior. I love a dimly lit space so long as I can still read the menu, which I could Service: was helpful and attentive. Our server helped me pair a menu mock tail with the right alcohol and it was excellent Food: I will think about the tarragon aioli on my chicken sandwich for awhile. We loved our burger and sandwich, but the marrow tartare was not my favorite. Given it was served in a bone, we had to pick a small piece or two of bone out of our food. I prefer an easier eating experience over presentation.

I felt this place!!! Felt is absolutely meeting my expectations - whereas most establishments in SLC are not. Their menu is Devine - it's diverse enough, the ingredients have great quality and freshness, and the taste is all there! The alcohol menu is phenomenal. I love trying new cocktails and they're mixing up unique blends to offer small twists on classics and things your pallet hasn't experienced before. I didn't get a picture of everything unfortunately but here's what we tried: Cocktails- The Auckland, pisco sour, marrakesh, honey bunches, and a white Negroni with mezcal (not listed on the menu). Every single one was delicious and a fan favorite! Food- *baja Crudo - very good. If you order it make sure to get each bite with a blueberry in it. Part of me wishes the blueberry would have cone in a small drizzle sauce form. *Koren Style BBQ Ribs - also very good. I feel like this is a more common menu item around the SLC valley though so next time I go I will try something else vs ordering again. *Beet Pickled Eggs - my group was mixed on the level of pickling the actual egg had. But what really makes this snack is the beet puree. It has a slight tang of spice at the end. The spice is manageable for everyone's heat level and it's what really elevates these hard boiled eggs/ pickled eggs. *Short Rib Stroganoff - I have seen (and tried) couple other restaurants along I-15 corridor with a stroganoff on their menus. This one is my favorite so far. I'm typically not a mushroom girly but these are the kinds I will devour. All of the ingredients are paired and put together wonderfully here. *Togarashi Chicken - I wanted to lick my plate clean. The chicken has this delicately crisps skin on it that is very impressive. I liked to break up the chicken and yam gnocchi into smaller pieces so that every bitch could include all the flavors of this dish. The pesto here is not over powering either. I also couldn't help but wonder what this dish would taste like if they mixed the pesto with hints of wasabi for any of the spicy gurus out there. If Felt reads this and just gives it a try - please tell me how it goes.

This place is perfect, servers and bartenders are knowledgeable and professional while still being friendly and unpretentious. Food was executed perfectly, again with the perfect balance of homey and high end. Gotta call out the homemade chicha morada used in their pisco sour. Amazing, great laying of flavors. All around couldn't have asked for a better night.

    Happy hour!!

The food and drinks were amazing! More upscale, enjoyed the vibes. I seriously wanted to try everything on the menu. Their drink selection is so creative--truly one-of-a-kind options you won't find anywhere else. They serve raw oysters, which are hard to come by and were fresh and delicious. Even the fries and brussel sprouts , which are usually just a simple side, were flavorful and satisfying. Every detail hit the mark! The people there are fun and inviting. We sat at the bar for a few hours and it was a blast. The restaurant is somewhat small for groups so reserve in advance so you're not waiting. A perfect amount is maybe a group of 4-6 people but I'm sure they can try to make room.

Came here for late night happy hour (after 9PM) where there is great deals on drinks and bites. We tried the pretzel bites which were chewy and delicious. Wished it came with traditional mustard sauce though. The burger was on the happy hour menu and was juicy with lots of toppings and crispy fries. The French onion soup was also very good. The vibe was cool and slightly dark interior made it a really fun nighttime spot. Service was quick and very helpful.

Sat at the bar and ordered a few things. Grilled ceaser with bacon was delicious... however I would recommend they at least cut the romaine in half, the flimsy butter knife and small plate made It near impossible to enjoy without creating a mess. Great flavor profile though. The crème brûlée was a 4/5, great potential but something was missing. The smoked strawberry was a pleasant surprise

Upon entering, the lighting and music have created the perfect ambiance for a night out that makes you feel fancy. The staff were so kind and welcoming as we took our seats at the bar. We started with the Coco Mango and Whiskey Sour drinks. The drinks were presented SO beautifully and came out quickly. Flavors were great and house cocktails were unique. We got an appetizer of pretzel bites that came with the most DELICIOUS cheese beer. The pretzels were cooked to perfection and I wish I had more cheese to dip. I got a French Onion soup that came topped with cheese breads on top. The soup was extremely flavorful and definitely packed a punch. I got a fried chicken sandwich while my boyfriend got a grilled cheese panini. Plating on both meals were beautiful and colorful, I appreciated the color that different parts of each meal added but also that flavors blended well. We shared a side of the mac n' cheese, I cannot explain in words how amazing it was. The pasta was perfect and the cheese was a gouda, textures were great and accompanied by great flavors. We finished out evening with the blood orange crème brûlée. AMAZING. The flavor was so delicious and packed in every bite. It was such a refreshing dessert after a savory dinner. I highly recommend Felt Bar & Eatery ! Truly a gem of SLC.

My sandwich was made fresh and devoured instantly. The focaccia had a slight char, the egg was cooked perfectly, and the bacon was super crunchy. I didn't love the American cheese, but that's just my personal preference. There's not a lot of seating options besides the one table in front. No biggie - pull up a curb or stand and eat. I ordered the Paisano, which was flavorful and had good ingredients, but unfortunately, the focaccia was burnt, which took away from the overall experience. They make their own focaccia, so I was expecting that to be one of the highlights, but mine was noticeably overdone. The sandwich itself was good, but at $17, I just don't feel like it was worth the price. I'm glad I tried it, but based on the hype and the cost, I expected more. For me, it's a good sandwich, but not a $17 sandwich.

The owner was kind and helped me pick between the two sandwiches I was being indecisive about - the Oh Schnitzel and the Hot Chopped Cheese. He asked if I could handle spicy and I said yes. I let him choose a sandwich for me between the two and he chose the Hot Chopped Cheese and said he thinks I'd enjoy it. He described it as a sandwich with chopped-up cheeseburger fillings inside, and they use a lamb and beef patty instead of just beef. Right, he was. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich and the meat was spiced and slightly spicy, but nothing I couldn't handle. The sandwich was flavorful, and I'm impressed that the bread wasn't too thick because sometimes places serve sandwiches with way too much bread-to-filling ratio. The bread was also a nice texture, I'm glad it wasn't too toasty or crunchy like some sandwiches can get that rub the roof of my mouth raw. I felt like I had a well-balanced meal out of the Chopped Cheese. Flavor-packed meat, cheese, veggies, bread - that's all you need. The food was delicious, and I don't doubt that the rest of the items on the menu taste great, but the prices feel high, yes, even in this economy. I say this because I was able to finish this sandwich and still felt I had room to eat some more, perhaps a little snack. I almost always cannot comfortably finish my food in one sitting when dining out, so that was a sign to me that this wasn't all that much food, and I could tell from the get-go because the sandwich did look small.

I got it on white bread with fries, and the fries came out crispy and paired nicely with the sandwich. Between the sandwich and the fries, it was a filling meal and I left satisfied.
