We were in town for a conference and my partner tried to get into this place three times. Finally on the last day we were able to get in the get a sandwich before they closed. The lines are just that long. Totally get it though. The food was delicious. The owner was nice and the service was quick.

You know it's good when there's a 15 minute wait in a long line out the door at a sandwich shop. The Robin's Nest didn't disappoint. When I got up to the front of the line, all of the employees were so kind and engaging. They took the time to make sure the sandwich was going to come out just the way I wanted it. They walked me through the different bread options the different sides as well. They were all so very nice. I'd really really appreciate people who go above and beyond to provide great service and great products. I would be remiss without mentioning the sandwich which was absolutely delicious and I will be frequenting The Robin's Nest. Kudos to everyone who works there for going above and beyond. You deserve every good review and all good things that come your way.

Best Sandwiches in Salt Lake City, no Utah! Full stop. A must try spot! They moved to a new location about a year ago and now have a little more room. I do miss the quaint, hole in the wall, feel of the old location but the new location is nice and fresh. So many sandwiches to choose from and they're all great. The owner is really nice, but not much help when choosing a sandwich, she just says they're all good, and she's right. But years ago, after some haggling she suggested The Gouda Smoker, Oven-Roasted Turkey Breast, Bacon, Tomato, Lettuce, Robin's Homemade Garlic/BBQ Spread and Smoked Gouda on Toasted Ciabatta! And it is amazing and has been my go to ever since. 5/5 But today I decided to try the C.O.B.A.L.T. an acronym for Couldn't Offer A Better Addition to Lunch than This. Hot marinated chicken breast, red onions, bacon, avocado, provolone cheese. Robins ranch and she suggested Robins chipotle to add a little kick, and it was delicious. The chipotle was a good add. 4.5/5 My wife ordered the Robin's Grill and thought it was excellent. Bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheddar, provolone on sour dough. The bite she game me was amazing. 5/5 Each sandwich comes with a small pasta cup or chips and a small dessert. 3/5

This time-tested lunch spot is in, I believe, its third location now in Salt Lake City. The food has remained consistent and good. I have ordered the Rooster Call for all the years I've come here. It's a white meat chicken salad sandwich with cashews and grapes on ciabatta. It tastes today as it did a decade ago- they stay tasty and consistent here, no cutting corners or trying to fix something that's not broken. My partner had the BLT al la Rick, with added avocado on white toast. A classic. We both had the lunch special, which came with chips or orzo pasta salad, and a dessert bite. The orzo pasta salad is, again, as delicious as it was a decade ago. Toasted pine nuts, and basil really make it pop! I had a brownie bite, and my partner had a lemon square, both of which were very tasty. We both ordered the half sandwich, which you can see from the pictures is really a whole sandwich. We each took 1/2 home. The atmosphere is casual and upbeat with nice features like the table flowers and the birds on the walls.

One of the best sandwich place in Salt Lake City! Love the orzo pasta that comes with it!

They were super busy, but super quick and friendly. We stopped for lunch before flying out. The sandwiches and salads were huge and delicious. The orzo pasta was good. The only thing that wasn't the best in my opinion were the cookies and dessert bites. They just weren't our jam.

I feel conflicted after a lunch at the Robin's Nest today. The line just to order food took over half an hour, but afterwards service was pretty quick. The sandwich was well portioned (what I got was only half!) The lunch special included a half sandwich, pasta salad, a cookie, and a drink (but it was a pricey upsize for a large!) The sandwich was ok for the portion and price. Decent price for downtown Salt Lake (but pricey for a sandwich still.) it was clean and bright inside, the building was interesting to look at while waiting in line. If I had t paid for parking I would have left, but the one guy at the register was really nice, so I suppose it was worth it!

I had a cheese tasting at the farmers market and seeing the space they make the cheese was impressive. Cookie from Alaska, Olympia provisions from Oregon at same prices as Oregon was a surprise! The sandwiches are so so so good. Sadly my kid couldn't eat his but I enjoyed my half very very much. They are kind enough to adjust for nut allergies and cut in half and wrap separately so I could drop off for his camp. I can't remember the drink I got from the fridge but it was blood orange and perfect for a hot day. And the amazing chocolate chip cookie. Wow. Just the right Amt of salt I got pasta and truffles to enjoy at home

I knew it had farro on it, so I ordered the farro salad. When they called my name and I checked my salad, I noticed it was definitely not the same as the one I had ordered last time, so I approached the employee who was at the counter that called out orders. Female, short-light brown hair, wavy curls. I told her the last time I came there were lots of vegetables and she gave me this dumbfounded look and said, "that's a Greek salad", which I knew wasn't right either because a Greek salad doesn't have farro. I just asked if I could add the vegetables to my farro salad and she continued to look at me annoyed then looked behind her at who may have been the manager? She had long-dark brown hair just below her shoulders. Bangs and it was pulled back in a low ponytail. Fair skin and a great smile. The energy immediately shifted when she arrived and she happily offered to add "Greek vegetables" for me. Walked it out to me when she was done adding them. She alone helped salvage that second experience. Bravo. After I had time after work, I went over the menu more carefully and I found the salad I was so impressed with on my first visit. It's called SALAD TRIO. It's an offering of all 3 of their individual salads combined into one amazing salad. Farro, Greek, and Tuna atop an ample amount of Arugula and your choice of dressing. So good! Their sea salt chocolate chip cookies are also delicious. It's quite a spacious market. They have dining on one side where you can order their salads, sandwiches, and merch. The market is on another side that offers cheese, deli meats, oil/vinegar, and so much more. Lunch gets busy here, but it's well worth a visit.

Which was made up of perfectly fried pork topped with Dukes mayo (my fav), ranch-kraut (my new fav), and dill. You can really taste the ingredients which is such a plus for me as too many ingredients in a sandwhich can get muddy. - They had a special butternut squash soup with calabrian chili which was phenomenal. At only $3 it was a perfect side for winter. CONS: - Pricey. I think at this price point if it added a bag of chips or some time of fruit or a small little side or maybe a can of soda included it would be a perfect meal and a very reasonable price point. My only suggestion.

I…read morehad noticed Deadpan from some foodie articles and accounts - amazingly, they decided to keep their business going due to the massive support they received when they announced their closure a few months ago. The owner was kind and helped me pick between the two sandwiches I was being indecisive about - the Oh Schnitzel and the Hot Chopped Cheese. He asked if I could handle spicy and I said yes. I let him choose a sandwich for me between the two and he chose the Hot Chopped Cheese and said he thinks I'd enjoy it. He described it as a sandwich with chopped-up cheeseburger fillings inside, and they use a lamb and beef patty instead of just beef. Right, he was. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich and the meat was spiced and slightly spicy, but nothing I couldn't handle. The sandwich was flavorful, and I'm impressed that the bread wasn't too thick because sometimes places serve sandwiches with way too much bread-to-filling ratio. The bread was also a nice texture, I'm glad it wasn't too toasty or crunchy like some sandwiches can get that rub the roof of my mouth raw. I felt like I had a well-balanced meal out of the Chopped Cheese. Flavor-packed meat, cheese, veggies, bread - that's all you need. The food was delicious, and I don't doubt that the rest of the items on the menu taste great, but the prices feel high, yes, even in this economy. I say this because I was able to finish this sandwich and still felt I had room to eat some more, perhaps a little snack. I almost always cannot comfortably finish my food in one sitting when dining out, so that was a sign to me that this wasn't all that much food, and I could tell from the get-go because the sandwich did look small.

They do full-service sit-down and to-go orders and have a wide selection of hot and cold sandwiches, bagels, dessert, other New York/Jewish style deli foods, and beer! Sloppy Joe - 5/5 - A large (1/2 lb) double decker sandwich with pastrami and corned beef. There are 3 layers of bread. The meats are tender and flavorful and blend nicely together with the thousand island dressing and slaw between the layers. It also comes with a side, I picked the potato salad which was good too. Not too much mayo but it was still nice and creamy. I just wish I got a little more potato salad to match the portion size of the sandwich! Potato Latke Pancakes - 4.5/5 - They were nice, hot, and crispy. You get 2 pancakes which have a nice thickness to them too. The flavor was good, I just think you should get more sour cream and apple sauce. It comes with a small cup of each, but its not quite enough for the 2 pancakes and its 50c each to get extra! Matzo Ball Soup - 3/5 - The matzo ball and soup broth both had a good flavor. The proportions were just off however, a huge matzo ball but not enough broth. And the broth didn't have enough of chicken meat and veggies (carrot/celery). I basically had 1/2 the matzo ball left over at the end Attempted Murder Imperial Stout Beer - 5/5 - Its a vanilla cinnamon stout. The flavor is subtle but in a good way! Its not sweet, but has a smooth bitterness and mouthfeel with a slight fragrance of the vanilla cinnamon. If you like stout, def give this a try. Its a strong one too, 10.5% ABV! The restaurant was clean, service was good, and there is a good amount of seating and its decorated nicely inside. Def give this place a try!
