We were scheduled for a 1 hour time for a project review. It was for 9-10 and Julio texted me at 9:45 to change the time to 1-2. I said NO! He called me at 1:30 that same day and asked if he could come in 25 minutes. I said OK he showed up and knew ahead of time that he was going to be giving me an estimate on a fence from the corner of my house to down the side of my driveway. Not to mention he had done a house around the corner previously so he had an idea of what the fence size might be. Hired them to place a solar powered remote gate in our backyard that has alleyway access allowing us to park in back. Fence Bldr was the only one to submit a quote for a solar gate, we paid a premium for sliding gate (as opposed to swing style) and a more quality motor and felt it was well worth it. They were able to do the full install in 2 days. Gates been going strong for 6 months. I contacted over a dozen fencing companies for a project to replace a 100-foot run of cedar fencing. Out of all of the companies who responded, Fence Bldr was the obvious choice. Look at the reviews here on Yelp. I did VERY closely because the ratings were so high. Well, after inspecting the fence they put up today, I can confirm that the 5-star rating is justified. They did a fantastic job. The workmanship is outstanding. Communications were very good. Julio, who I assume is the owner, responded quickly to my questions. It didn't take too long to figure out he knows fences. He was the most knowledgable of all of the companies by far. Julio's quote wasn't the lowest, but it was a good, fair price in my opinion. After seeing their work, I think it's a very good value. It's possible that you might find someone less expensive...but it won't be by much and I doubt the work will be as good. Julio and I agreed on a date for the work. The day before, he texted me to let me know that crew would be at my house at 7:30. When I walked out of my house to unlock the gate at 7:25, the crew was waiting in their cars. Work began at exactly 7:30. I am a very satisfied customer. They have put up 87ft of 6ft privacy fence with kickboard on the roadside of my backyard. They took the old fence down and put the new one up within an 8 hour day. They cost a little more than other contractors, however I'm a big believer in you get what you pay for. We had a worn out and recently damaged older fence that was in need of replacement - with several rotten posts and rot on the bottom of almost every piece. Fence BLDR was one of several companies I contacted for quotes and their prices were all similar. However, I personally liked the material choices that Fence BLDR suggested and their reasons for recommending certain types of wood for specific parts of the fence to add longevity seemed sensible to me. In the photos I show some of the old fence for comparison with the new fence. The new posts are steel with wood covering to maintain the aesthetic. The gate feels like I could hit it with a truck and it would probably still be fine.
