From the first consultation to the final product, we knew we were in efficient hands. Our project was a bit unorthodox because we needed about 45 feet of wood fence over a steel frame built on top of an existing brick pony wall that had been in place since the 80s - and it had to turn a corner at an odd angle. I love our new fence! We had Fence Bldr replace all of the fencing around our home in Orangevale (180 feet) and install two new gates (large 10' double gate in the front and a small 3' gate in the back) back in early September 2024. I added photos to my yelp job request and Julio promptly responded..:we discussed options and agreed upon using the existing fencing to construct the gate (I didn't want to paint a new gate and the existing fence is in great shape). Julio arrived at 8am (as agreed) and greeted me with a courtesy text. I met him in the front yard and he explained the procedure and results (to ensure it would be what I wanted). He was prepared with all the necessary equipment and finished the job before 11am (time including a break to sit and chat about old times with my dad). Julio met with me to discuss our project and sent pictures of similar work along with his quote. That really helped with the decision to choose Fence Bldr over two other companies. After signing on I texted Julio several times for clarifications and some added work, and Julio responded promptly every time. The crew arrived at 7:00 am, dismantled our old wooden fences, built a new 73-foot run with metal posts in concrete and three rails, a separate 18-foot run, plus three 8-foot sections of fence each with a gate. Gave Fence Bldr a shot and would not recommend. I hired them to remove and grind a tree/stump and replace a wood fence. Julio arrived and then left when the crew started to work. There was no one to manage the project and coordinate the stump grinding and fence building. The stump was not ground down enough and they ended up cutting off the bottom of pickets to make them fit which looked terrible. I ended up having to demand that they come back out to correct issues which took two days to remedy. Julio insisted it was a one day job and I felt like he rushed the crew. The crew was very hard working. Julio should treat his employees better by providing better communication and leadership on his job sites.
