Chicken wings & chicken fried rice

This may look like any other Chinese restaurant .but it has some really good food that separates them from some of the rest.they have some really good food over there, from chicken and broccoli with chicken fried rice to general tso chicken. The general tso chicken is one of my favorites over there, with chicken fried rice and a chopped up egg with some duck sauce and hot mustard, that makes for a really nice dish. The spring rolls and egg rolls are also very tasty. The atmosphere was nice.their staff was polite and friendly ,Also the restaurant it self was clean. The wait for the food isn't long at all.there service is really fast. And they make it the way you ask them to. Also try some of there lunch time specials, they have some really good deals over there. So if you are in forest hills ,on queens blvd check them out.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about this place. I think you have to match the review to what the place actually is. This isn't a gourmet Chinese restaurant. It is a fast food Chinese take out joint and it is a very good one for that. Some logistical things first: 1. Credit card minimum is $15. 2. I don't think they really know how to do tax here. They charged me an extra 50 cents for tax, which I thought was fine. The lunch special is $6.95 and they charged me $7.50. But someone else came in and ordered something else for $5.50 I noticed and they charged him $6. I only tried one thing here so far from the lunch special menu which is until 4PM every day including weekends. I got beef and broccoli with pork fried rice. The fried rice actually had a decent amount of pork in it. There was a fair helping of beef and broccoli. You can either get a wonton or hot and spicy soup or egg roll. It was a cold day so I opted for the wonton soup. It was pretty tasty with three decent wontons in it. The wontons were way better than expected, the soup was so so. Overall a pretty good place. They clearly understand English and were very friendly. Food came out fast. Would come here again when I have a hankering for Chinese food.

Food was really good actually I got it during lunch time it was 10 dollars with a wonton soup!

3 stars is NOT a bad thing!! It's your typical Chinese take out spot! It wasn't bad and it wasn't excellent. I ordered take out delivery from here and I was pleasantly surprised on the portion of food! Like someone before me said, you can easily make 1 order into a meal of 2. Sesame chicken with pork fried rice - it was your average order. I'm not complaining. Good portion size though! Hot & sour soup - I felt it was watered down. However, it tasted ok to me. Maybe it was last batch? It was my first time ordering from here, I'll have to give them another shot to see how consistent it is. Let me know what you think!

    Condiments, napkins, etc.

Feng's garden is a basic Chinese takeout restaurant. I ordered delivery through Yelp: Kung Pao chicken combo platter with brown rice. The Yelp menu didn't explain what a combo was, but it came with an egg roll. The Kung Pao was only slightly spicy and didn't have any peppers in it. I enjoyed it, but if you like spicy food or you expect Kung Pao to be spicy, you might be disappointed. The rice was ordinary, maybe a bit mushy.

Warning to all with a pineapple allergy like me: do not eat the duck sauce. If you like spicy ask for hot mustard instead. Orange chicken was crispy and flavorful. I did not find it spicy, but my spice tolerance is very high. My fiance had the chicken with broccoli and it looked amazing. Try the cold noodles. They are chewy and delicious. For me the fried dumplings were good, but not great. Worth a try but nothing to rave over.

I ordered the cured pork with garlic shoots and dry fried green beans. The cured pork was quite salty, and paired well with the buttery, tender leeks it was cooked with. The dish was not overly oily, and was pleasant over white rice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the pork which allowed you to experience the complex flavor. The green beans were well fried, with characteristic texture signature to this dish. The seasoning was very well balanced and not overpowering to the natural sweetness of the green beans. I would recommend either dish. They were both slightly toned down iterations when compared to the times I've eaten these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants in flushing, but still well seasoned and well cooked. The service was very warm and friendly, and many other customers seemed to be returning regulars.

We ordered the dan dan noodles for an appetizer, chewy noodles and good flavor. Then we had the custom dry pot (we put chicken, tofu, Napa and Choy medium spicy) that came out tasty and fast. And finally we ordered the crispy fish which was HUGE but crunchy and flavorful - definitely more food than we expected but it's okay! Servers were friendly and even though there was an error in our order they were quick and ways to fix. The restaurant is small and hole in the wall, feels authentic. The restaurant is a few blocks from the main street of Steinway so it'll take a bit of searching. Going inside, the area is rather abstract. Pink flower wallpaper on one end and dry wall on the other, it's kinda off-putting but I didn't come here for the atmosphere anyway. Service was lukewarm, I got my order in but the two workers inside weren't too receptive and the menu itself is kinda barebones with most of their food being a bit more than I would like to pay for so I just settled on one order of Singapore Mei Fun. After waiting 10 minutes for my food to arrive, the Singapore noodles which are usually spicy were kinda salty but it was nothing a bit of duck sauce wouldn't fix. This one order cost $17 while not the worst Singapore Mei Fun...well technically it is, even though it's not horrible but I've had much better from other places for a stable price of $12. Yeah, a rather disappointing visit. Not the worst I've ever had but could be so much better.

There was a long wait as we put our names down for a party of four, but there is a lot to do in the mall as you wait. Our party of four was able to get seated on a Sunday afternoon after about 30 mins or so. The indoors is very well decorated and it has a nice dimly lit atmosphere. Something this place does do really well is the plating and presentation. Our first appetizer were these shrimp balls and they served 9 items on this really stunning tree holder. We ordered pork, some boiled bok choi, and Peking duck. I think in NYC this was the best Peking duck experiences I have had. They provided a large variety of toppings more than just the basic green onions. They ask if you want the bones boiled or fried afterwards. They provide a large amount of wraps for you to enjoy, and the duck was prepared beautifully. Now this place does get pricey but my friends and I loved our visit. They show you how to make each roll, they provide plastic gloves are you prep the duck rolls. Will definitely plan to come back, every thing we ate was fantastic and we had a great time. It does get a bit pricey however.
