I normally don't write reviews, but with the repetitive bad customer service I've been getting it was necessary, especially since it's my local Chinese food spot. I just moved to the area. They're only three blocks away. I kept giving them chances but this last one did it. So not only do they get the order wrong but they give you an attitude for bringing it up to them. they also don't bring utensils without you asking and even when you ask they don't send it. the fill your French fries with barbecue sauce to the point that it's a barbecue soup pure disgusting even when you tell them to put a little bit, they still make a barbecue soup out of the french fries. this happened more than a handful of times, but like I said, since I blocks away, I gave them the benefit of the you bring it to they just hang up on you. not a very professional location. read more

I'm not sure why on Yelp this place only has 3 stars, but on UberEats it's 4.8-this is has instantly become my go-to for when you just want some good Chinese food. I literally just moved back into the neighborhood, and one of the first things I do is scout out my next go-to spots. I first ordered the Beef Mei Fun which was the best mei fun I've had in a very long time--it brought me back to when I was a kid getting Chinese food with my grandparents. No gristley parts, either! I then tried the pork fried rice, and again did not disappoint. The food is fresh, the delivery is super fast, and they actually follow the order directions and specific requests (which is rare nowadays, sadly). This is a pretty standard American Chinese takeout place that has been in Rego Park for a long time. For this type of food, I have to rate them as above average. I have had a couple dishes from them (chicken with broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, etc.) and was pleased. An average Chinese takeout restaurant. It looks kind of run-down. They have indoor seating now. The food's ok but kind of greasy. General Tso's chicken is usually spicy. The spiciness often comes from red chili peppers. The General Tso's chicken I got from Fu Ying didn't have any peppers and wasn't the least bit spicy, despite being marked as spicy on Fu Ying's menu. read more

So, this place is always a pleasure ordering Chinese food take out. I'm a creature of habit and always get the Chicken in Garlic Sauce w/ either brown rice or pork fried rice. My bf gets the shrimp w/broccoli and veggie fried rice. We get it delivered and it is BOMB! Both of our meals come out to $8 each, a soda or egg roll (which is always crunchy, not soaked in oil, and just yummy). We pay extra for a drink and tip (we live a bit far from them in my opinion. Plus, the delivery guy is always fast.) Can't describe the dish my bf eats, just know he doesn't come up for air.. lol! However, my Chicken In garlic sauce is always just the right amount of spicy, the chicken is never rubbery, and the veggies seem relatively fresh compared to the other five Chinese take out/delivery places I have done business with. The brown rice is always good. Fluffy, yet a tad sticky like Chinese rice is made.(Different way Spanish rice tastes.) My tip, eat the top part a bit and then mix the rice with garlic sauce. So delicious! The person who takes my order 99.9% of the time (I order quite a lot actually! Speaks volumes about my diet game..) is 99.9% of the time pleasant and efficient. Once or twice I ordered something different and I don't know if it is because she remembers my order, but she managed to explain what the dish is like. For example, I ordered chicken chow mein once and she described that it isn't like low mein, which is the one with the noodles. Overall: 1. Fast delivery 2. You will not get amazing Chinese food from this restaurant because they do not set their standards high enough. I'm not saying that they are not hard workers or unpleasant to deal with in any way. They actually seem very nice. However they need to work smarter and not harder. They need to clean the place from top to bottom, organize and focus more on quality control. For starters, behind the counter (kitchen area) seems very unsanitary and unorganized. You can visibly see produce sitting in milk crates scattered all around on the floor. the kitchen equipment is caked with sludge and a fine later of dust sitting atop. whatever boxes and junk sitting above the refrigeration units, get rid of it and clean it all off. The food, I ordered the general tso chicken combination platter with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken tasted very dry, it was all stuck and caked together and the sauce seemed more like an extremely thick tasteless syrup. The pork fried rice was very dry, bland and unfortunately the egg roll was way too greasy and not edible at all. I ate everything except the egg roll because i was starving but believe me, it was not an enjoyable experience at all and I felt even worse afterwards. Was looking for something quick and easy since I had a time constraint. I ordered the steamed shrimp dumpling appetizer. Guy at the counter seemed rushed and distracted. Two more people came in after me and put in their orders and we all waited. After 15 minutes, one of the people who ordered after me got his chicken with cashews and fried rice and walked out. How does an appetizer take more time to make than an entree? And steaming eight frozen dumplings takes more than 15 minutes? I went to the counter and asked the guy how much longer. His response? "Oh, it's right here!" It was sitting on a table behind him for who knows how long. It didn't occur to him that people like having their food as soon as it's ready. The dumplings are mostly dough, with lots of cabbage and one small shrimp in each. The wait time if you walk in and place you're order seems a bit long at times, but when I call for delivery they're at my door in 20 minutes or less. I've tried Several places around the neighborhood for Chinese take out and I don't think any of them are as good as Fu Ying. Mr Tongs? Wasn't impressed plus they smushed my egg roll into my lobster sauce. Sesame chicken is crispy, boneless ribs are well done and not fatty, spareribs are nice and meaty. Dim sum could use a little work but it's still tasty. My only gripe is their egg rolls (can I get an egg roll sized egg roll and not a spring roll please?) and their fried wontons (mostly wonton wrapper). I called in a pickup order of shrimp lomein which she repeated and confirmed over the phone. When I got there they confirmed that I called in the order for shrimp lomein, yet when I get back to work I discover I have vegetable lomein instead. I called back to inform them of the mistake because I could not return on my lunch break they offered no regards or compensation merely saying I thought you wanted vegetable lomein even tho it was confirmed over 3 times. I've been going to this restaurant since I was a kid; well over 10 years. The food has been pretty consistent in quality and can be described as a typical chinese take-out restaurant. I usually get general tso chicken, broccoli in garlic sauce, and chicken and broccoli. They're honest with their portions and prices; I like that they don't skimp on the chicken by sneaking in more rice underneath the meat. I ordered pork chow mein and I'm pretty satisfied.
