We really enjoyed our visit! We had some great food and wine/beer! I had the Caribbean Salad and my friend ordered the Golden Ticket artisan pizza and we split them. The pizza was too goopy and sweet for my taste. It has so much potential to be amazing but maybe not as the top line menu item. Maybe as an appetizer? Not sure. I needed something more savory. My husband had the Pani Puri Lettuce Wraps but honestly they were not filling enough. They make a great appetizer but not a great entree choice. That Caribbean salad was outstanding! We really loved the atmosphere. It was a tap room so order at the window and they bring out your food and bus the tables. There was a beautiful fireplace and we visited for quite a while. This is a hard review to leave but after the 3rd time in a row with just horrible service I had to. We loveeeeee FWB & since moving to Fenton 3 years ago it's been somewhere we are eating at LEAST once a month, definitely more than that in the summer. The food is always great, the pizzas are the best around but at this point the service is so below subpar. To start we were given waters and then waited 10 minutes to be greeted by a server. It took 15 minutes for 2 beers and 2 martinis, which I get if you're busy... but not if we are watching 4 servers & 2 bartenders talk by the bar without a care in the world. We had to ask for every refill, and proceeded to wait at least 10 minutes between each ask & actually receiving it. Our food was great, as always, but we genuinely watched the waitstaff stand at the bar talking while people waited for checks, drinks, and food throughout the restaurant. The table next to us had to go up and ask for their bill. This is the 3rd time service has been painfully poor at FWB, it seems like the younger servers working there don't have any sense of urgency or responsibility to take care of guests? When you're spending $100 a visit you don't expect to have to ask for refills, napkins, or the ranch that never came. Our friends we brought won't be back, but I'm willing to give FWB another try and just hope for better service read more

Stopped here before a party in Fenton, and loved it. I love that there is a huge selection of wines for any palate, and if you like sweet wines.. this is the place for you. We also all ordered food, the focaccia breadsticks were DELICIOUS, and I got the Alabama chicken sandwich which was equally as delish. My friends ordered the lasagna rolls and BLT and everyone loved their items. The hostess dressing on a side salad is not to be slept on either- so good. This was a hard one to rate. We waffled between 4 and 5 stars. We decided on 4 as we ordered food. The cheese for the pretzel was delicious, the pretzel itself left a lot to be desired. They also did not offer crackers or anything between the samples. They did give you a glass of water though without having to ask for it. The staff was friendly and helpful. The offered suggestions based on your tastes. When our server did not know the answer she went and sought out the correct answer instead of guessing. To go prices was slightly cheaper than dine in. We plan to come back. The selection of wine and craft beer is large. We will back. Well we came back on 11/24 with some friends for a late night double date. The service was great. Kudos to FWB for providing an outlet for customers during this pandemic! Patio heaters between tables, seats by outdoor fireplace, this is the place to go! Alright, I believe in honest reviews, so let's be honest. When it comes to beers, you will have to find one you like, but in my experience, they have been inconsistent in the past. That may have changed, but the brews I tried don't excite me and I have not yet tried the wines. We also ordered pizza on our visit, and OMG, it was ... awesome. Sorry, I don't use that word often or lightly. Thin crust, juicy, flavorful. If that's your thing, this is your place. Now that D is retired, we decided to start taking at least once a month a weekend trip with no more than 3 hours of drive time from home. Our first was to mid-Michigan for wine tasting. Our first stop on a chilly sunny January Sunday was Fenton Winery & Brewery as it was the furthest of the 4 we hoped to visit that day. The winery & brewery is behind their event center, which we didn't see the sign until we nearly crashed a baby shower being held there. The taproom is a huge pole barn but nicely furnished inside with a rustic feel. We were seated right away and ordered a flight of wines. We both loved the Cocoa Merlot. We just had pizza the night before, so we opted for sandwiches. I was totally impressed with the lettuce wraps, which I rarely see on a menu. They were stuffed with spicy Mexican quinoa, corn, black beans, salsa & avocado crema. D had the turkey & fontina, which he really liked. Our waitress was friendly and polite. We really enjoyed our time at Fenton Winery & Brewery and bought a bottle of the Cocoa Merlot to share with our friends. read more

It's super dog friendly. The large, well kept and clean outdoor seating area contains areas both on the patio and on the grass. It's nicely laid out with pretty flower beds and is a nice quiet spot to chill out. Ordering takes patience, lots of patience. You order from the little stand at the gateway entrance. Then you are given a flag with a number and the food is delivered to you. So far so good. Then I was asked to either pay or run a tab. Not good. To run a tab requires I hand over a credit card that she wants to lock into a safe she cant open? Not a good idea. The drinks leave a lot to be desired. The taste is good and the products are high quality but the flight is a rip. You get four 5oz pours that all varied in size. If you select the wine then you get a 2oz pour. Honestly, I have seen bigger eye baths. The golden pizza was amazing, very high quality, cooked perfectly and tasty. Easily 5 stars on any level. Gourmet food at it's best. It's truly amazing to find. We got thirsty again, the servers are pretty thin on the ground outside so I wandered inside to the bar. The bar service looked at me as if I was disturbing them, but I ordered anyway. That's when I noticed the high gravity rip off, slightly stronger beer for a lot more money with a tiny 10oz pour. Avoid at all costs, its just a blatant money maker. The tip problem is in your face. Walking to the bar to get drinks it automatically wants me to fork over 18% for the girl to do the job she is being paid for. I feel this is wrong, dead wrong, when there is a lack of servers outside to begin with. Overall it's not cheap but not too expensive either. It could be better run than it is. read more

How the dream turned into a business and the business turned into a dream. The tastings were delicious and the pizza was delicious, too. This was our third stop of the day. What a nice surprise. I never knew Fenton had do many great spots. We decided on this area because one of his favorite restaurants is here. Funny thing though, we never made it there. Haha anyway, we love to day drink but things start to get blury three of four locations in. Haha I ordered an amber ale at this spot and he ordered a couple of Seltzer's. We loved both. The decor was inviting on a crappy rainy day. But it was time to start heading back we bought some glasses to stock his new bar with. So fun! They were cool and he's going to need them. This is a place we would definitely revisit. This was a great addition to staying in..watching football basically the whole day, pigging out on Thanksgiving meals & treats and having the perfect holiday weekend. On a short Thanksgiving weekend visit to Fenton, a couple of locals took us to FWB since this is one of their favorite place to hang out. The winery & brewery taproom itself is located behind the Wedding & Banquet Hall which is a rental venue for special events. There is ample parking space on a huge lot both for the banquet and bar places. Once we got inside and sat at the bar, the place had a lively and fun vibe from the customers at the bar and all the staff were friendly and nice. While the three people in my group had beers, I had their house Pinot Grigio. The wine was excellent and from the feedbacks that I got on how the beers were, I guess they do a good job on brewing their beers as well. I also tried two of their specialty pizzas, the CHARCUTERIE and TRATTORIA. Both had great flavors from all the ingredients used and the crust was perfectly done too. The small size is good for 2-3 people to share while the large one can be shared among 4-5 people...depending on how hungry everyone is I guess:) Overall, I like this place. The service was efficient and friendly, the place has a cool and laid back feeling, the wine was awesome (I can't personally speak about the beer) and the pies that I have tried will definitely be reasons for me to come back whenever I visit Fenton. We made a reservation to come make some wine and memories in celebration of our wedding anniversary. The whole experience was pretty amazing and fun. Before we started the wine making, we did a wine tasting of the different wines we could choose to make. The two ladies who helped us were just so nice, knowledgeable, and all around fantastic. Their passion and love for where they work and who they work for was easily observable and in their outstanding service. The different wines were all good and made choosing one to make a bit difficult. The owner Matt was just awesome in every way possible. He started off our experience with the history of his Winery and Brewery. His passion for what he does is immediately visible and the care he feels for his staff. We loved the history and how his business has grown over the past almost 12 years. The wine making process was pretty neat and we absolutely loved the details and information Matt provided as he guided us through the process. In six to seven weeks, when the wine is ready, we go back to create our personal labels and bottle the wine. Will update the review when we complete the finished product. We stayed after for lunch and I also had a couple of his brewed IPAs. How could I go to a brewery and not try the beer? LOL The Eminent Double IPA is a great beer and stands on its own against any other brewery. The only food we tried was the Golden Ticket pizza that we shared. We both gave the pizza two huge thumb's up and highly recommend it to anyone. The fig gives it just a hint of sweetness that complements the other flavors so well. The outside area is landscaped very nicely and there are numerous picture opportunities. They also have a quite large patio area if the weather is cooperating. If you are in the Fenton area, traveling by, or are just looking for a winery and/or brewery definitely stop in for some libation and food fare. read more

I have become an immediate fan of this restaurant. Joe was so gracious in helping our group celebrate a retirement. All of the staff are very nice here. I think this restaurant must have good leadership. It's really refreshing to see that. And the pizzas! They taste just as good as they are described in the menu. They are certainly a culinary treasure. I rate their pizzas above Lou Malnatti's, Gino's, Pizza House, Bigalora or Giordanos. Their outdoor dining experience is so relaxing. I'll describe that the next time I review this restaurant. But I'd say this is just the right place to enjoy a Summer night supper outdoors. read more

went for lunch on a Saturday. 3 in our group got the 4 2oz wine sampler. we all had the Zinfandel as a choice. Upon trying it the smell was off and we all thought taste was bad. I asked our waitress if we could exchange for a different wine after I explained. She said they couldn't ( mind you are talking 3- 2oz servings) She then said she would try it, came back said it was fine and would not exchange it My husband before all this said we need to support our local businesses and buy a couple bottles- which of course we did not. Fenton Winery & Brewery exceeded my expectations. The outdoor wine/beer garden area was very cool with plenty of space to sit and outdoor games to play. The drinks selection is very robust with options for everyone, including plenty of fun non-alcoholic options. I tried a wine flight with four different sweet white wines that all came with a generous pour. The blood orange wine was by far my favorite, it nearly tasted like orange juice! In addition, my friend and I tried the charcuterie board and lasagna bites. The charcuterie board was good though I wish it came with more crackers as they give you a generous portion of cheese. The lasagna bites were a real hit, definitely would recommend. Service was decent, the cashiers were all very welcoming/friendly, however, they could have been a bit more helpful in the ordering process. My friend and I found ourselves pausing a few times trying to be patient for the cashier taking our order, but the cashier never prompted us to go ahead with our order so we were left in an awkward silence waiting. I also had to return to the register to receive a refund and re-pay for my purchase of a bottle of wine due to them charging me for the wrong bottle (even though it was the same price). The space is super nice. I love it. However, there seems to be a dissonance between what they are trying to convey and what you're getting. The charcuterie board was 1 slice of salami quartered up, 4 pepperoni, a few slices of cheese and some crackers. The price for this says "gourmet", but in reality it's not even close. I didn't taste bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about, especially at that price. Wife got pretzels and cheese, I'll be damned if the cheese wasn't cold and watered down. Wife got pizza, she said it tasted pretty good but unfortunately ended up with food poisoning that night... of course it can't be proven it was the pizza, but it's all she had eaten that day. Lastly the service was suuuuper slow. Very nice servers but way slow. Not sure what was up with this. All-in-all the food wasn't particularly bad, it just wasn't the best, and left a lot to be desired for the price. The food feels like "bar food cooked in a turbo chef" but costs way more than what it's worth. I'd say, if you go, just go for drinks. Beer was decent and wine was alright too. read more

I've been here on a few occasions for various events. When the weather is warm it's nice to sit outside in the back, particularly when there's a large group. The inside has a hipster vibe with dimmer lighting, long wooden tables, and games. The pizza is what most people often come for and it's decent but nothing I've been blown away by. I've tried a handful of their cocktails as well and feel like they're overpriced for what they contain. My friends always go for the beers however and they seem to enjoy the variety. FWB wouldn't necessarily be my eatery of choice but since I'm frequently in the area I'll likely be back. read more

Our favorites are the Hans for beers and Solo blackberry in wines. My only complaint is that I wish they would bring back the charcuterie pizza! It was taken off the menu and we miss it dearly.
