Friendly staff, delicious food, and a place for all occasions! Really enjoyed the homemade food and the bartenders know how to make a great drink! Would highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back to eat here again!

Wow, this is the best restaurant in town! People are so friendly here. They have a full bar with a lot of liquor and beer. Their hamburger is the bomb, and the grilled chicken sandwich is delicious--the ciabatta bun is cooked so crispy, the best I've ever had. The French dip is great, according to my husband. I love the onion rings too. Please make sure to come when you're in the area. By the way, the owner is exceptionally nice, making the dining experience even more enjoyable with their warm and welcoming demeanor.

I work in Plains at the hospital but get to come visit our clinic in Hot Springs about once a month. Every time I do I buy pizza for everyone...mostly because it's just about the best pizza I've ever eaten! The people working there are really nice and it's always ready right on time. I love this place!

The experience wasn't amazing. They had one lady working the bar and waiting tables during dinner. That said it all worked out for the best and we had an enjoyable meal. If you are high maintenance this may not be for you.

Service was fast and friendly, food was very delicious and environment was as if the town was a giant family. It was very clean, even seen someone break away from the workers group conversation to clean the bathrooms. I'm glad we stopped along our route despite seeing a few "interesting" characters that made us want to skip the town at first. If you feel concerned about the few "interesting" folks, there is window seating where you can see the parking area if you're worried about your vehicle while inside. Food and vibe is definitely worth stopping by for.

This is straight up bar food. Yuk!! Very nice servers though and if I'm being totally honest, the salad was edible.

We started with the appetizer special, a pear and feta salad, then split the bison short ribs and shared the lemon blueberry tart for dessert. I would happily go back for any one of those dishes. Our server was excellent. I believe his name was Eric, and he made the experience even better. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

We arrived shortly after six on a Monday evening, easily found parking and, while about half the tables were full, we were seated quickly. Our waiter was kind but seemed nervous, reading the specials from a note pad. We started with sourdough and an order of calamari (yes, I know there isn't fresh squid within a hundred miles, it's one of our "always order to see what's up" dishes). Bread came out quickly with olive oil, balsamic, and some minced garlic - quite nice. A few minutes later, calamari - lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and a bit bland. It felt like they'd perfectly executed their vision, but it could've used a bit more seasoning to my taste. No tarter or other sauce, but a half lemon and some pickled sweet peppers. I ordered the bison burger and my wife went with the walleye. My burger was medium rare, as ordered, but the bottom bun was soggy and everything was buried in the thinly sliced red onion. It was fine but sadly forgettable other than having to slurp slices of onion after each bite. My wife raved about her walleye though, basically describing it as elevated nostalgia. It took her back to days of fishing on the lake with her family as a girl, but perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. We finished with an espresso crème brûlée, which took about 20 minute after our meal to arrive. Apparently the chef was newer and accidentally put pistachios on the brûlée, as we got the last espresso and the next batch was pistachio flavored. We didn't mind, but it had the thickest crust I've ever seen on a brûlée - probably an eighth inch thick. It took two solid whacks to break through and was so thick it felt more like a burnt caramel. The crème itself was lovely but, as someone who prepared hundreds of brûlées in an earlier job and has eaten many since, it was sadly overshadowed by far too much sugar on top. It was an overall pleasant experience but honestly I owe much of that to the company of my wife. If we go back, the only thing we'd reorder is the sourdough to start. My wife loved her fish but still said she'd try something else next time.

CLBP is just on the north side of 90 adjacent to the Wallace RV park. The inside is very comfortable and inviting. It was quite busy at noon on a Saturday afternoon so service was a little slow. No worries though especially since there was a crowd because of the ladies homesteading gathering being in town. Weird but I didn't go with a flight this time. I started with a pint of the Pulaski Porter while SWPFTD went with the Mountain Top amber. Both were quite tasty. I ordered the French dip sandwich which was fantastic. SWPFTD had the Reuben which was also very good. Yes, I ate part of her sandwich. I wrapped up with a pint of the milk stout on nitro and SWPFTD had the blood orange IPA. The IPA didn't work for me but I never love the blood Orange. The milk stout was really good though. CLBP is a great stop in Wallace! Since we were a party of 2, we did get a small table right around the corner from an exit area. It wasn't bad. Another party had taken our chair (I'm guessing they said they had 4 guest instead of the actual 5) so we did have to wait for the hostess to find a chair when we got to our table but that's not on the restaurant. Patrons of the establishment seemed entitled and rude but the restaurant and wait staff itself was ok. The girl who sits outside to put you on the waitlist seemed like she'd rather us leave than wait 20 minutes. Food was fine. Drinks were good. You may have to wait a little bit, but choices in the area are limited. Prices are on. We spent $63 before tip for 2 burgers and 2 drinks. We were able to walk here from our tiny Airbnb so that was an added plus for us.
