I'm surprised to be writing this review. We had a boiler installed by a Blackman employee (and his sons). We were given the friends and family discount for an open box item. The installation went well. The person who installed the boiler, unfortunately, has gone MIA. Despite promising to service the boiler (and providing his signature that the service would be free), J. has not responded to numerous texts and voicemails over a period of months. While I appreciate that his managerial day job (with Blackman) must be keeping him busy, his lack of follow-up is *very* unprofessional. read more

Don't dare try to speak to a salesperson without scheduling an appointment before you go. I asked about a sink and was scolded by the saleswoman because i didn't have an appointment. Her sighs and eye-rolls were enough for me to walk out. If i make an appointment to go back it will be to tell her off. read more

I never thought after buying my items from them instead of build.com and paying more to deal local that I would be treated like they did. Everyone in this place acts like they did you a favor letting them sell to you. My wife called to ask if my parts came in and they said yes. I drove right down to find them closing with new weekend hours. It wasn't the fact they were closing and failed to tell me on the phone before i came down.it was the way they had joy in telling me they are not going to help me. Shame on anyone doing that to a customer. I will vote with my cash and Never spend another penny with them. I would not support them treating people like that. Stay away if your not in a mood to be talked to like your a fool. Back in the day when we had no choice. your intimidating attitude worked but now it's a different world. They have been around for a while and have supplies that you won't find at Home Depot and Lowes, but buyer beware. They are not friendly to the direct consumer both on the phone and in person. Multiple employee's thought it was funny that I wanted to return or exchange a tool that I Boughy the day prior with a large order. They had supplied menthe wrong tool, and where unapologetic and seemed to get satisfaction telling me no refund. So buyer beware when shopping there, don't expect to be treated well but you may have no choice but to shop there in a jam. read more

In the construction biz I'm what's called a harry homeowner and that's fine since I know it all anyway. When I was having trouble with my boiler and I needed some info I opened up the Yellow Pages and thumbed right past plumbers because they are just middlemen anyway. I went right to supply houses and found my local FERGUSON branch in Bohemia. I just wanted to get their advice and buy the parts online. I walked into the counter area and knew I was in good hands. I saw the fellas behind the counter and let's not forget the nice little fellarette that also works there. They were all excited to help me and make sure I fully understood what I needed. Each one gave me their expert opinions on my problem and I felt like I had to buy from them. They sold me a bucket of steam and sent me on my way with a loving wave as I walked out the door. I haven't installed it yet but I know it will solve all my problems! What a great group. Mr Ferguson give them all a raise!! read more

I initially had a pleasant experience. After I received shower doors that were inappropriate and required drilling into my cast iron tub, their customer service was incompetent. The sales associates lack knowledge as to what will work and accommodate your bathroom renovation. They lack knowledge and professionalism. I would never recommend for any product or service. read more

Once you leave the showroom the experience immediately changes as you're waited on by gruff, burned out individuals with zero value for your time. They'll get your requisition then engage in meaningless conversation with co-workers in front of you and when they finally get your order, they chuck it on the counter like its a sack. Bought over $8,000 supplies for 4 bathrooms. Could have received better service. read more

Only went here to try to make it easy on ourselves by having a professional helping us buy all the things we needed. Turns out, I would have been much better off without. Customer Service is nonexistent if you have a problem, which we did, a major one. They wouldn't take back a Vanity we had ordered based on THEIR mistake on their incorrect measurement. So now, we have a brand new perfect condition vanity that cost us somewhere around $1,700 sitting in our garage because they refuse to even entertain taking it back. But why? It is NEW! It just doesn't fit!! I would even have accepted that we would have to at least pay to ship it back! We spent 8K, and you won't make good on YOUR mistake? When they say customer service is everything, they're right. I have 3 friends who just bought houses to FLIP, and my other who owns 3 who are about to fully renovate. I have given them my landscapers, electrician, and handyman simply based on the fact that I used them and they trust me to recommend only people who will satisfy. And guess who I will be steering them CLEAR AWAY FROM. This place. Blackman is BAD news. No help, no apologies. They just brush you off. You're better off going literally anywhere else. I went to Home Depot to buy replacement parts for my Kohler tub faucet after installing it the tub still leaked so I went to Blackman plumbing I got the parts and in less than 15 minutes my problem was solved I do agree they are not the friendliest people in town but the products work I will return there and never go to Home Depot for plumbing supplies again. Showroom is nice, salesperson I dealt with was friendly and I was able to order what I needed. However it was off the shelf item shower trim kit. But they considered a special order with no cancellation or refund. Plus it was more than what I could have gotten for on amazon. I bought it local just in case I needed to return or exchange it since my shower assembly is 10 years old and may not have been compatible with the new products and I originally bought it from blackman. Fortunately it fit fine, phew!. The parts and pickup area is a different story. They have lots of parts, but you better know what you want because the counter people, while probably experts in their field are not very personable. if you are not a plumbing professional, which I am not, stick with Lowe's or online or hire a plumber. At least you can return the product if it's wrong and the sales teams are friendlier. read more

My husband and I left after waiting for 40 minutes for help. We didn't even get acknowledged. Little did the blonde lady at the Bohemia location who refused to help us know but we were basically just waiting for someone to place a very large order for us... someone missed out on good commission. They are rude there, we went to multiple locations and received the same treatment. Either make an appointment or go to Green Art or Fancy Fixtures. The Bohemia store has a mediocre showroom and very little options, your time and money would be better spent somewhere else. read more

They have good products but this is completely negated by the horrible "consultants" they have in the showroom. In addition the consultants at BOTH locations were irritable, mean, nasty, and condescending. At first I went to the Bohemia location & the lady consultant was so snooty that we left. We decided to check out the Medford location. The lady consultant at this location was just as rude. This is the first & last time we will go there. Sad part is that we got a recommendation about this place from our contractor. I have two big bathrooms to redo but my business will be given elsewhere. read more

I really don't want to give this place any stars! Went in there this week to see if we could get parts for our VERY expensive bathroom faucet. We couldn't find anyone In the showroom for help. No hellos or anything! Finally we saw 2 girls, told them what we came in for, they backed away from us saying oh we can't help with that. Basically ignored us!! NO COMMISSION FOR THEM? THEY DONT WANNA KNOW YOU. WHAT SNOTS. So we went into the parts dept. and got treated SO RUDELY! Guy barely wanted to talk to us. English not too good either. He gave us a customer service number for the faucet. But a relative of mine got the same parts from them last year!! Well, we just walked out. I'll never go there again. We recently added a master bath to our home and obtained all of the fixtures & plumbing supplies from this company. It was a wonderful experience working with Dina, who was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. Our tub drain was delayed at the Kohler facility and she kept on top of the situation to expedite its shipment. We've used Blackman in the past for our kitchen & another bath and definitely will use again when we update a guest bathroom next year. read more

Worst experience ever! Spent almost 4 hours in this place listening to the sales woman's personal life and of course she messed up our order. The computer system is also so slow and antiquated. We had to go back several times to fix our order and return items and now we have to wait for a check in the mail as a refund. Very unprofessional staff and outdated procedures. Stay away! read more
