We had a floor lamp that hadn't worked for years and finally decided to call around to find someone to fix it. Lighting Gallery was nearby so we figured we could kill two birds with one stone, get the lamp fixed and look for a new dinning room light fixture. They have a beautiful showroom with a large selection and helpful people working there. We brought our floor lamp to be fixed, and even though they said it may take a week, they fixed it while we browsed. Another thing I like is that they are locally owned. If you buy from them you are helping a Long Island family, not some big corporation. For me that's a plus. We didn't decide on a fixture for our dining room yet, but when we do, we'll be stopping by Lighting Gallery.

One look into the store window and we knew we had to go in. Since we had just gotten our ice cream, we asked if it was ok to come inside and take a gander. Imagine a place where all the furniture is reclaimed and rustic, the leather furniture distressed and so comfortable looking that you might just for a moment think you see a sleeping child on the couch. This place is so awesome inside, we just had to have a look and kept going on for quite a distance. That's where we saw them- the matching end tables that have been missing from what we wanted our bedroom to look like and the bench at the foot of our bed. Enter Nadia and Frank, two of the nicest people you're likely to ever meet and moments later we were chatting it up and getting their story on how the came to be in our fair city. I'll let them have that conversation with you if you go yourself in person, but rest assured, it's a story we loved to hear and we were so happy that hard work can pay off and a dream can be realized. A few more minutes went by and Frank and I had conducted our business and I arranged for the furniture to be delivered to our home. We laughed because it was possibly the most expensive ice cream trip I have ever taken. But having said that, we were so pleased at our new purchase and the thought that everything was so reasonably priced. We already have spoken about a few other items that would look great in our home. I wasn't part of this conversation so much, but MR ( mad Russian ) was talking with Nadia and it seems Frank does all sorts of custom work as well. Come and see them and welcome them to the neighborhood. Best of luck to them both!

They really have the most amazing stuff! And the owner was incredibly nice and helpful. This is a place worth taking a trip to see!

I walked in and the aroma was breathtaking! I asked what the scent was and it was "Winter Forest" by Cow Harbor Candle Co. I bought one little candle to take home to NV. Burning the candle at home, I just couldn't get enough. They were out of Winter Forest, so I ordered an assortment of different scents from the same maker. Unfortunately, when they arrived a few were broken. I spoke to the owner, Jacquelyn, and she immediately replaced the broken candles at no charge, no questions whatsoever. They texted me when more Winter Forest was available. I order more of those too. I think I've gotten about 8 candles and I have to say that these are the BEST SCENTED CANDLES I've EVER had the pleasure to enjoy! Highly recommend this shop, the customer service is fantastic, and I hope to visit Huntington and Wit & Whim again next year. Also, wow has Huntington grown (well of course, in 50 years!) Gorgeous area. And, yes, I found my grandparents home. It's not the same, but I found it!! Ahhh, the childhood memories!!!

Filled with tchotchkes, vintage ideas, local artisan crafts, and so much more, it really lives up to its name of wit and whim. The two people working at the store were incredibly friendly and did such a wonderful job gift-wrapping the gifts I purchased and I picked up a bunch of business cards from local creators that I wanted to follow and see what else they have in store. A lot of the items don't have prices listed, so you do have to ask which was my only minor grievance. I will definitely make a few more trips here, especially for gifts, when the need arises.

We trekked to the rear of the store where the rugs were. After much browsing we found the one for us. We asked an associate for assistance and unfortunately it was not in stock. However, the associate called another store to inquire if they had it and they did. We then went to the other store, and the manager had it set up for us by the cashier in a cart. Great customer service. Then we continued to shop and found some other items. We checked out and all was good. At Home seems to have great employees always willing to asset the customers. They also have many items to choose from.

I usually end up buying gifts, seasonal decorations, or little treats for myself like tea, antique trinkets, and candles. I find it hard to describe how the place is organized, but essentially every little alcove in the store represents a particular local craftsperson or entrepreneur. Some of my favorites include... * "Ma belle maison," which is a collection of interesting, reasonably priced antiques and decorations (some sourced directly from southwest France). I found a really cool antique pen tray and some North American duck stamped cards that I have framed above my desk. * "Backstory home" has the best seasonal candles I've ever found! The pumpkin bread candle actually smells like the real thing, and isn't too sweet or overpowering. I also bought their Taylor swift inspired candles for my cousin and she loved them! * Not sure if it's "Harbor cheese and provisions" or "Tono's Tabletop," but there is a fridge stocked with charcuterie, cheese, and nonalcoholic drinks that I've bought for picnics in springtime! Nest also has craft workshops that you can sign up for, and pop up shops that rotate pretty frequently. The clipper ship tea company is currently there, with a unique selection of loose leaf tea blends to choose from- like pumpkin chai! All in all, I love coming to nest. There is something for everyone!
