Ordering an appliance during Covid is not easy anywhere. After waiting 5 months my replacement built in microwave finally arrived. I did a pre site visit to make sure the replacement microwave fit but that is all they did. My previous appliance was a 240v replaced with a 120v which should not have been a problem. The problem was that a light switch that controlled the outlet they plugged the outlet in also controlled cabinet lighting so I had to flip a switch to use to the microwave. After flipping the switch and running the microwave for 15 seconds the breaker flipped because it couldn't handle the additional load. $300 later I had an electrician out to install a new outlet where my 240v hardwiring was and replace my breaker to make it all work. What was the point of the site visit I know how to use a tape measure... would not use again, sales person didn't care about any of my issues after they collected payment. I talked by phone with a kind lady , asking if the showroom on Richmond had the item I was looking for, available for display ( a framed shower door seen on the Ferguson website). The answer was "yes it is displayed and you can see it, no appointment requested". After a quite long driving, I reached the showroom.The gentleman at the entrance was quite surprised from my request to see the shower door. He said they do not display items (so, why they call it "show room"?) . Also he was unable to explain why I was given a totally different information on the phone. This shows at least lack of coordination: all the employees should have the same knowledge in order to provide consistent and aligned answers to customers. Or maybe there is lack of motivation /interest in their job? No problem at all, of course. There are other options in the market. This is my third (and last) disappointing experience with this vendor. Always found quite rude or not friendly staff, and, most important, never got the appropriate support to find a solution. read more

I have been a Ferguson customer for over 4 years now and I will never go to a different store. My wife and I remodeled a bungalow in the Heights in 2012, and it was our first time working with Ferguson. At that time we got all of our plumbing fixtures and fittings from them. We scheduled with one of the associates and they answered all of our questions about the models and options. They helped us find the perfect items for our house, even finding matching sinks and sink fixtures that would match with the style of our Craftsman-style home. Everything was either in stock or delivered promptly, ahead of when we needed the items installed during our remodel. Two years later in 2014 we were at it again, this time remodeling a house in Spring Branch. This time, we booked an appointment to not only look for plumbing fixtures and fittings, but lighting and appliances. For the appliances, we met with Kenneth who explained all of our different options and the benefits of various appliance packages and brands based specifically on how my wife and I cook and what we were looking for. We picked out everything we were looking for that day, and again had a great experience with delivery and install. For our fixtures and fittings, everything came on time before we needed it for the remodel. As for the appliance delivery and install, I will admit this was what I was the most nervous about. As it turns out, this was the smoothest part. The Ferguson team supplied our builder with all of the specifications of the fixtures and fittings in a binder that helped immensely. Our cabinet guy knew the sizing of the appliances to build around, our countertop guy had the specs of the sinks and faucets to plan around, etc. Once it came to install, that ended up being the easiest part. The appliances were delivered when they said they would be, put in place and tested by the install team that was courteous and knowledgeable when I peppered them with questions. We even had a great experience when we had a recall on a part on the range and the appliance repair company came out quickly to repair the part. All in all I strongly recommend Ferguson. I don't plan on moving again anytime soon, but they will always be my first choice with any new appliances or fixtures we would need in the future. read more

Have tried to enter this showroom twice--once to find it not open at its posted hours, and another--as late as Sept 2020--finding it closed unless one made an appointment at least a week in advance. In my opinion, the clerk advising me on the need for an "appointment" was snooty as was the message she conveyed since the place is huge with no-one there that I could see. I prefer to do business with folks that are trying to do business and actually show they want business. I bought my two Subzero refrigerators at their competitor--and for a better price. Houston is a large place. No need to try to go to Ferguson again, and I won't. read more

Please spend 2 minutes reading my review. I never write reviews - I promise it will be pay dividends. Let me start out by saying that I have spent $100,000 at this store for my remodel. Plumbing, lighting, appliances, etc. I'm not being hyperbolic - this is necessary information to contextualize how absolutely abhorrent this company is. Nearly every single person I have worked with at Ferguson I have had a negative experience with. Wrong items being ordered delaying my remodel. Protracted, beyond reasonable wait times for quotes and orders being placed and fulfilled. I've had to call Ferguson on multiple occasions to pay them so my order could be placed. It's like herding cats. Someone's always busy, on vacation, sick, or picking up their kids. If you have an issue, good luck talking to a manager. I actually set up a meeting (during my working hours in which I specifically asked for a manager to be present) - and wasn't. Today was the final straw. I was supposed to go to Ferguson to pick out a sizable hardware order (my entire house has 100% new cabinetry which will require pulls etc) but my sales woman can't meet except between the hours of 9 and 3. If you have a job that requires you to be available for your job during normal working hours, good luck. This company's culture is one which enforces the idea that their time is more valuable than their customers time. It's easier to see a specialist in the med center, seriously. I was told to reschedule for next week... and accommodate their schedule since they can't accommodate mine. Are these items in stock? We don't know, because they haven't been selected. What if what I want is back ordered? Well the meeting delay turns into a delay on my remodel which costs me more money but that's my problem. And that exact thing has happened to me during this process. Unequivocally and totally unacceptable. I'll just go to lighting inc which is literally across the street. Listen. We all know Ferguson is over priced. There's two reasons people like me go to this store: it's a convenient, one stop shop for everything you need for your remodel, and customer service to make it easy. Theoretically I suppose reason 1 is true - although you'll have to jump through a ring of fire while juggling bowling pins to get your order placed, correct, and on time. Regarding reason 2 though, this is literally one of the worst customer experience situations I've ever had. It shouldn't be this hard to spend 100k on over priced remodel items. Anyway, other than these reasons there's literally no reason for you to exist. Everything you sell is readily available on Amazon. Turns out it's less expensive, AND their India-based customer service is far superior. Do yourself a favor: go to this store to figure out what you want and then buy it off amazon. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Run, do not walk, from this place. I purchased my kitchen appliances from Ferguson's only because my interior designer had worked with them before. However, I recently learned she is fed up with Ferguson's also and will not work with them any longer. After I purchased my appliances, the Ferguson's consultant I worked with, wouldn't return my calls regarding the delivery dates. The delivery dates kept getting pushed back and I never got any updates on delivery. When I called, the consultant was either on vacation, sick, or with another client and never returned my calls. She said it was better to email her which I did with replies days later, if any. One of the appliances was finally delivered after waiting 8 months only to discover one of the accessories was missing. The delivery team said they would order the item and six months later I am still waiting only to learn someone dropped the ball and never ordered the accessory. read more

I went to look at lights and was treated very poorly by the staff. Had an appointment with David at 2pm and he showed up at 2:20 without any apology for being late. He was quite unhelpful and at some point just disappeared. He had no interest in helping us and the rest of the staff was just as bad. I would recommend going elsewhere as the entire experience was uncomfortable. read more

I'm not sure how this place has so many negative reviews. Perhaps people expect to walk in and have the sales people drop their previous appointments just because they are there and have $ to spend. This isn't Lowes-make an appointment and you will be taken care of. I have been working with Maggie to choose items for our new house and am very pleased with the service I've received. She has been nothing but helpful, knowledgeable, kind and patient. I value her help and expertise and look forward to working with her again. read more

HORRIBLE service. I went there today with about $7,000 cash plus credit cards prepared to purchase a Bosch cooktop, Bosch oven, a refrigerator, 3 pendant lights, 2 large outdoor light fixtures and a faucet for the kitchen. That's just what I intended to purchase TODAY. There was NO ONE who could help us. We were never offered assistance, and when we asked, they were too busy. We waited and asked again. Sorry, still too busy. Okay, fine. They will call us. They didn't actually call us, so we called them. They were STILL too busy to take an order for the appliances. The one bit of information that we obtained was that if we purchased a light fixture, took it home, and then decided to return or exchange it, the restocking fee would be 35 - 50%. The manager and owner should be furious. Our contractor could not get any assistance and neither could we. They lost at least 10K in sales from us today and wasted our time. read more

Came in for a couple of toilets, Made my selection but ended up leaving after about 30 minutes of trying to place my order. I really can't write anything about Ferguson's selection because I never went! I called on three different occasions to make an appointment. On each of these occasions, the lady who makes appointments at this location was away from her phone. I left my name and phone number each time. She never called me back. In fact, I explained to the receptionist that I was in a time crunch and her attitude towards me was flippant at best. As a business owner, I know good service begins with the first interaction, so I guess it's a good thing they blew me off. read more

I can honestly say that I have never been treated so rudely in my life as I was today when I tried to purchase bathroom fixtures at Ferguson's. I walked into the store, was greeted by a young woman at the front counter, pointed to the bath fixtures and then told to come back up to the front when I found my product. Once those steps were completed I went back to the lady to request ordering assistance. After standing and waiting for her to finish her phone call, another sales associate confirming what the woman was saying on the phone, she looked at me and I expressed my desire to purchase my fixtures I had picked out. I was asked if I had an appointment, which my response was no...by the way...no place on the door of the establishment, windows or signs does it tell a customer seen by appointment only. She explained to me that I could set an appointment for next Tuesday to speak to someone to just find out if I could then order the products I had selected. I explained to her that I had contractors in my house and was prepared to purchase the items today. She then repeated herself and asked me if I wanted the Tuesday appointment. When I picked my jaw up off the floor and said to her "ma'am, I'm ready to purchase these today", I was asked again if I wanted the Tuesday appointment or not and when I didn't respond she turned to another customer that had come in and asked her if she could assist her. Truly, I was speechless and still can't understand the rude behavior of the folks at Ferguson's. The great news in this story is that Baths of America is right across the street and they are professional, helpful, kind considerate and willing to place my bathroom fixture order! Moral of the story...there are helpful people still in the service industry...FERGUSON'S IS NOT ONE OF THOSE PLACES!!!! read more

This place is waaaaay over priced, everything requires ordering and the staff is not knowledgeable about the products they carry. Save yourself the time and money. Have been happy when remodeling in the past staff were great then but not now lighting on the über and ceiling fans galore

The sales person ordered the wrong product. I went to return it and they say a 25% restock fee will be charged to my account even if it was their fault! Of course, they don't say this before you buy anything. However, I purchased a product on Saturday and I went home to realized that the special order was written in error. I even called them early the next business day to cancel the order and they didn't even cancel it. This company will not refund us in full while knowing that they were at fault. Ferguson is a multi-billion dollar company and now I see how they make their revenue. read more

Purchased a Viking cook top and downdraft. Their installer wired it incorrectly and shorted out the downdraft. Viking tech confirmed this. Ferguson won't call me back (since they already have my money). Looks like 2 - 3 weeks for the 2 replacement boards to arrive. I am trying to get a replacement downdraft since it is in stock locally and I'm worried that the existing one may be further damaged but Ferguson doesn't seem to want to help. read more

I know many in Houston are looking for new appliances after the flood and I caution ordering from FERGUSON, Bath Kitchen and Lighting Gallery on Richmond after my experience. We purchased 50k+ Subzero/Wolf appliances, sinks, faucets, etc, August 2016 for our full kitchen remodel. The showroom is beautiful, our sales contact was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, until our order was placed. The issue I'm STILL dealing with is that their installers ruined my NEWLY installed wood floors in front of the new Sub Zero refrigerator. A reputable wood floor expert provided a quote for repair and we factored reasonable cost to move out and move furniture off 1st floor for work to be completed. (necessary for continuity of the finish and highly inconvenient for a busy family of 4 & a dog!) Ferguson sent a NON wood floor expert (adjuster?) that decided we could repair our BRAND NEW wood flooring for a quarter of our estimate. Side Note- The installers also chipped our NEW countertops while installing our Wolf range on a previous visit. Ferguson did take responsibility and replaced the countertops expeditiously. The new wood floors are another story/nightmare that I am still dealing with and unfortunately have to look at everyday. Ferguson service is fantastic on initial sale. Follow up service is fair at best, (I've given up on the replacement promised for the defective brass sink in my bar) installation service is unacceptable. Be careful trusting your newly remodeled home to Ferguson. (Will gladly update review upon resolution) read more

I'm giving them one star because I can't give them zero stars!!! My parents used to shop here and received good service and good products. I have been to this store twice in the past month and their customer service is deplorable. Not a single person spoke to me the first time and on my second visit I wasn't spoken to until I was walking out and the door greeter girls told me goodbye and to have a good day. If you know anything about this type of store you know that I was prepared to spend over $1,000 on a new kitchen faucet and water filtration system, yet they couldn't manage to get a single employee to acknowledge my existence in their store. Obviously they have enough business. I had just come from Westheimer Plumbing and Hardware and while I had to drive quite a ways to their warehouse store ,where they are temporarily operating out of, the minute I walked in the door I was warmly greeted and a sales person came to help me and was amazing! I stupidly went to Fergusons for a second time for a comparison bid. I will not make this mistake again. read more

NEVER use this company. Terrible follow up to shoddy installation and service. Problems included but were not limited to a leaky gas line, stripped fasteners, broken components and mis-installs requiring factory intervention and re-installation, using alternative service groups to repair and replace damaged appliances. Still waiting for completion, many months after identifying problems at instation. Go elsewhere for your appliance!!!! read more

I wish I'd read the reviews before I made the abject mistake of picking Ferguson for plumbing supplies. You see, we ordered plumbing supplies at least a month ago. Our contractor paid for them some time ago. After numerous unreturned calls, he was told yesterday that the faucet we picked and paid for (over $900) was on backorder and not available until May - 2.5-3 months away. If you want to use this place, please make sure you take delivery at the beginning of the job and don't count on anything approaching service. This has been a hard review to write because my antipathy for what appears to be an utterly incompetent place of business is pretty much beyond expression. read more

We purchased alot of very high end appliances and plumbing supplies from Fergusons in 2012 and were met with terrible service, delivery issues that were on going and held up the remodel, but worst of all no one every took your call once they took your credit card. BUT....I moved and thought they have all the model numbers etc of the items I would like in my new home so I will go by there, Nothing has changed, they took down all our info and the items we needed and never called back, when we called the store, they dont have any info since they use employees from other stores on the weekend and have no idea who would have been working on it.. read more

Went into the store and met with a sales reprentative who was knowledgeable and helpful. I went to Ferguson because they sold Grohe and that's what I wanted to use in my shower. I purchased everything from Ferguson even though I knew I was going to pay more (I already found the products online and all of the products I was looking for were way less than what Furgerson was offering the items) because I wanted to make sure I got all the correct values for the shower. The values were the most important part because the plumber was ready to install them in the wall and the sales representative said that they were in stock and I would have them the next day. I told the representative how important it was that the thermostat valve got there the next day because the plumber needed to install it so the contractor could then put up the Sheetrock. We got most of the stuff the next day but they did not put it on a rush and we didn't get the items util 7pm. By that time all the contractors were gone. But the worst part about it all is that every box I received was crushed and not by the shipper. I ended up getting a used and broken thermostat valve that Ferguson poorly tapped back up the box. I spent close to $2000 for this shower kit and I did not expect to get returned used product. I should have just ordered everything online and saved money and I would have gotten the items on time. read more
