I went to this location for the first time for myself and I'm absolutely coming back!! The office…read morewas nice and clean and up to date!! ( if you've read any of my reviews that really big to me!!!) I noticed they were really fast w getting people in and out. The staff was really nice too!! My 2 year old daughter was with me and making a lot of noise like 2 year olds do. And they remained nice and professional! The doctor!! Dr Parker ( not sure I caught his last name. Pretty sure Parker was his first name!) he was awesome. Gave me a lot of info, he was very personable, and asked me at least 3 times if I had any questions. And I didn't have many because he explained everything for me! I haven't been consistent w any eyewear place because it just seems like they try to get you in and out and not really give you thorough information about your eyes! But I will make this my eyewear home!! Oh. The selection!!! At other places I feel like I pick my frames just so I can have glasses to see! This is my first time ever being excited about my glasses. I loved the frames I picked. Once I saw them I didn't have to look anymore! I will definitely be adding this review to google so ppl can know!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Clarkson Eyecare in Florissant at 230 N Hwy 67…read more I scheduled my appointment a month in advance for 3:30 PM. Three days before my appointment, I received a reminder text showing the correct 3:30 PM appointment time that I had originally scheduled. However, when I arrived at the office, I was told that I had missed my appointment because it was supposedly scheduled for 10:00 AM--a time I NEVER scheduled, agreed to, or confirmed. I contacted Clarkson Eyecare's scheduling department while dealing with the issue, and they confirmed that I had, in fact, originally scheduled my appointment for 3:30 PM. I was then informed that someone had canceled my original appointment and rescheduled it for a different time without notifying me or receiving my permission. What made an already frustrating situation worse was the way it was handled in the office. The front desk staff seemed completely unprepared to resolve the issue and lacked the customer service skills I would expect from a medical office. When I spoke with the office manager, I found her to be extremely condescending. Her tone and body language gave me the impression that she had no interest in actually helping resolve a problem that occurred within their own scheduling system. Instead of acknowledging that their scheduling department confirmed my appointment had been changed without my knowledge, I felt as though the blame was being placed entirely on me as the patient. I received no reasonable explanation for why my appointment was canceled and changed, no accountability, and no genuine attempt to correct the situation. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles its mistakes says everything about its customer service. I had documentation supporting the appointment time I scheduled, and their own scheduling department confirmed it. Yet I was still treated as though I had done something wrong. I refuse to use my insurance benefits and money to support a medical practice where patients can be treated this way. Professionalism, accountability, respect, and basic human decency should be expected from everyone working in a healthcare office--especially management. After this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

After less than desirable experiences at The Eye Center and Clarkson Eye Care , (both in…read moreFlorissant) , and Sam's Club Optometry in St.Charles, we decided to try Resler-Kerber Optometry. We were both happily impressed! The entire staff were all incredibly welcoming and friendly. The eye exams were thorough, they took the time to answer questions and address concerns. The facility is clean, decorated nicely, and has a relaxing atmosphere. I had been told at two aforementioned places that I needed cataract surgery. This doctor explained that yes, I have slight cataracts, but that for now most of my burry vision issues are from dry eye and would be much improved with regular use of eye-drops, and surgery wouldn't be needed for a few years. Great news to me! Turns out I don't need distance correction enough to warrant it, but it was an option if I wanted it, so I opted for readers. He explained that store bought readers have the same strength for both eyes, while prescription readers are tailored to each eye. That makes sense, I simply hadn't thought about it like that. We are more than pleased with our experience at Resler-Kerber and highly recommend them!

Until now, easily a 4 1/2 stars. This time, not so much. I was notified that my trials were ready…read moreand went in to pick them up. A week later I received a text that my order was ready, odd since I had not confirmed the trials worked but while near by went in to pick them up. Was told it was a duplicate message that went out by mistake. No problem, while I am here let's go ahead and order the contacts. Eight weeks later I call to see when they will be ready, told "sorry the order was never placed". Now have to wait another month, maybe two for them to arrive. Add to this my doctor was late and after 30 minutes had to see another doctor. Too much hassle for what is an above average market price point. Edit: I received a call from Dr. Dowdy and am amending my review. He reached out not to ask me to change it but to help find a satisfactory resolution to my concerns. Suffice to say we an achieved that. It's when things go sideways you have a chance to distinguish yourself. Thanks for striving to be better.

I had contacted Chanel to see if anyone in the area carried Chanel optical frames and they referred me to Optical Expressions! I was a little skeptical on traveling far (Mind you, I traveled about an hour just to get my eye exam and frames. It's well worth the two hour trip to and from home). but they have a huge selection of frames which is awesome! More than I expected actually. Anyways, upon arriving, I was greeted and helped by Lisa and literally a month later she still as sweet as can be. The frames I wanted, were not in stock and she had ordered them for me. She told me it usually takes 15 days since they're being ordered out of the US. They came in an week later! Faster than I expected which was awesome. So instead of me traveling back out there, she had mailed them to me which was a huge plus! The glasses also arrived within two days after they had my lens made. She was just awesome from the start!!! I also had Dr. Julie to do my exam, she was super nice and friendly! I would highly recommend both ladies. Actually the entire staff was very friendly! Overall, If you're looking for an optical place with an extensive selection of frames and beyond awesome service....Optical Expressions is the place to go!

My prescriptions varied by the doctor and the day. Once I hit THAT AGE and needed bifocals, it was worse. So I found Overland on Yelp and realized I had driven by it a zillion times without even realizing it. The staff are very friendly and prompt. They usemore advanced equipment than the other place, too. Dr. Lueckenhoff is great. He was very helpful in understanding what I was unhappy with in my last set of contacts and is currently working with me to find the right contact lenses for me. Meanwhile, I have a new pair of glasses that are very nice and prescription-perfect. I would have no qualms recommending anyone to go here (except my ex. He can find his own place!) August 2018: I just took my 80+ yr-old father in for an eye exam and glasses. He was way overdue. The team did a great job attending to his needs, helping him find glasses similar to his current pair, and working with his insurance. He didn't think he needed new glasses until the doctor showed him the before and after of his prescription!
