Finally after I stood there long enough waiting for their personal conversation to end I was met with "DO YOU NEED SOMETHING?" followed by an extremely annoyed stare. I told him what I needed and was directed to go stand in another area. The first employee talked to me like I was an idiot when he directed me stating "go over there and stand and when he says "next" tell them you need help" So fine, I did as I was told and was met by the plumbing grinch #2 who simply STARED at me until I finally folded and told him I needed help. It was the most awkward, uncomfortable exchange ever. Once I explained what I needed he asked me for the brand which I didn't know off the top of my head. He clearly didn't like this because I told they sell no universal parts and I should go Somewhere else to find my part. I was able to contact a family member who looked and gave me what I needed and proceeded back in to face the horrible staff. Once again I was greeted with straight up animosity. I told him what I needed and was immediately told "we don't have it, there's another store nearby" Well I did go to that store nearby who greeted me, helped me find what I needed, and didn't make me feel like I was a horrible person for simply walking into the store. I appreciate their referral to a friendly, more customer service oriented environment. I will NEVER set foot into Ferguson again. What a dreadful experience.

One word for that: egads! We did a frantic online search to find appliances, and stumbled upon Appliance Land Etc. The Appliance Land website didn't show many details about specific appliances in inventory, but we went anyway, trying to avoid the big box stores if possible. They had a great selection, but really only one in the size that we wanted (30"W 66"H 30"D) but it matched exactly what we were looking for. Dennis was amazingly helpful and awesome. He checked the inventory and saw that he had last year's model of a fridge in the size that we needed. He offered us that model for about $50 off the normal retail since it was a floor model. Turns out, the inventory was wrong and the model on the floor was the 2015 model. He offered us the same discount on the fridge, and we're having it delivered for free on Tuesday. I'll write an update to my review after the delivery. They offer haul-away for $20 and they will recycle it. A couple of notes, we found the same model fridge at either Lowes or Home Depot, and it was the same retail price. We chose to support small business. Dennis also gave us some good advice on microwaves and how easy it is to install them in lieu of a vent. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone shopping for appliances. We're looking to redo our kitchen in a year or so, and we'll definitely be visiting these guys when we shop for appliances.

Research showed that recent customer experiences with DAD's were good so I took a chance with them. Glad I did. Among their large selection of brands and appliances they had the very one I wanted on hand. The cost was acceptable. I set up delivery and installation and even before I could drive home their 3rd party installer was on the phone to arrange an appointment. It was only three days later they came and installed it. Installer was great, arriving spot on time at the beginning of the two hour window, doing a quick, through and tidy job of it. All-in-all it was a quick, painless experience. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

We knew the specific model we wanted and it wasn't one they carried in their warehouse. They said it would take a week to get (it took less). They also said it would take up to a week to schedule their installer (they use a 3rd party). So they call me on a Friday before the order ship week is up and say they have them in the warehouse and could I take installation the following Monday late morning or early afternoon. Indeed I could. The installer calls mid-morning to confirm the installation time. They come on time an perform a professional install with all old units removed and new units installed without a single scratch or ding (my install was underneath a countertop with slots for a washer and dryer as is usually done for a dishwasher). Overall smooth and no complaints.

It's like going into your neighborhood hardware store and that's not a feeling you get everywhere in the DMV. No other Home Depot has this vibe that I've been to. They don't have as huge a selection like Bethesda or even near PG plaza but, they have great people who work there. I absolutely love the long time workers but I have to admit their new hires are pretty awesome too. What I love most is they are real people, meaning not robotic or like zombies. I think this store should get a pay raise and increased professional training to have more knowledge. Idk what they actually get paid but, when you have people that are happy at work, want to help, stay for years and years, I would hope they get paid enough to have a good life. One of my favorite workers is the paint guy!! Mr. R. He's been helping me for YEARS and years :-D. Great job to this location. The only thing that would make this better is longer hours open like the old days and lower prices like the old days. Idk if those days are coming back ever. Maybe, it's be and I'm friendly to the staff, so they reciprocate? Idk. I have three other Home Depot's and I'm always choosing this one :-D

I already had two carts completely loaded with 16-foot lumber and other materials. When I got to the large contractor gate, the employee told me it was already closed and that I had to take everything through the regular checkout lanes. There were about eight employees standing there, and not a single one was willing to help or offer a solution. I asked to speak with the manager, and the response I got was basically that they didn't care. They just kept telling me to take the two heavily loaded carts through the front registers, which was completely unrealistic. The customer service was terrible. Instead of helping a contractor with a large order, they acted like it wasn't their problem. From now on, I'd much rather shop at Lowe's than come back to this Home Depot. Management seriously needs to improve customer service and train employees to actually help customers instead of making excuses.
